OOC Post -
Felt like doing a HeroForge mini for my D&D 5E campaign of Lucien Harvestpyre. Nothing quite like a morally ambiguous wizard to introduce some new twists and turns into the plot.

Personal Journal
“I have long desired the time, the peace of mind, the inspiration to sit down and write. For the entirety of my life, there has always been some pressing concern, some immediate task that required my participation and pulled me away from that which I have physically ached to do. I suppose there is always the possibility that someone besides myself may stumble upon this journal or its contents and wonder at these pointless ramblings, so I imagine that introductions are only proper.
My name is Lucien Harvestpyre. I am, at the time of this writing, thirty-five standard years of age. I reside in a modest home within the city proper of Gilneas that I have, perhaps ironically, named ‘Harvestpyre Manor’. My home rests at the end of the street that officially demarks the boundary between the Military District and Greymane Court. Although I am a resident of Gilneas, I am neither a native Gilnean nor one of the few refugees that managed to entertain Genn Greymane’s hospitality before the Wall was erected. As is a matter of public record, I was born in Corin’s Crossing - a large settlement in what is now the Eastern Plaguelands, a region of the former Kingdom of Lordaeron. My father, the Reverend Ezekiel Harvestpyre, was a member of the clergy and made it his life’s work to improve the spiritual health of his fellow people through the teachings of the tenets of the Holy Light. My mother, Deirdre Harvestpyre, was a teacher, dedicating her life to feeding young minds and challenging the unknown. I was the youngest of their seven children, though officially I am considered the thirteenth, as there were a number of infant fatalities due to illness that preceded me.
My childhood was somewhat average by the standards of our society. Even with an abundance of mouths to feed, my parents were able to provide for us a comfortable lifestyle without undue hardships. Sure, there were times that we could not have a delicious chocolate cake for dessert, but mother was always sure to have some homespun fairy floss candies ready for us. I spent my week attending school and my weekends were spent either in play or at the church, gaining both a healthy mental and spiritual education. I imagine they were trying to give their children the best possible chance at securing a better life than what Corin’s Crossing could provide. My two eldest siblings eventually left Lordaeron for Stormwind, one becoming a soldier and the other joined the priesthood. Years later, my third eldest brother left home to become a librarian in Dalaran, while my next sister married a blacksmith and moved to Andorhal to start their family. My last two sisters married soon after to two brothers from Hillsbrad and went to start their own lives, as well, leaving me at home alone.
I admit now, in the privacy of these pages, that I genuinely did not know what I wanted to do with my life. I had no special talents with the blade. The priesthood carried no special weight within me. While I was enamoured with libraries, spending an inordinate amount of free time within them, I did not feel drawn to them as a career. I did, however, desire to write. To populate those repositories of written knowledge with everything I could experience. Unfortunately, while my parents did value the Arts, they did not see them as a path to success in life. It wasn’t until my thirteenth birthday that we discovered that I had a talent for manipulating the forces of magic. Specifically, the school of fire.
My parents sent for a tutor immediately and so closes the abridged first chapter of my life.”
