i also ended up adding context/details bc i didn't think a lot of these stood well on their own? idk!! dialogue is not my strength but i thought this was fun fjdsklf. these are all for gray ofc across a few fics

1.“So you went to the store, bought this, and came back just to feed me? And you didn’t think to get orange juice?” They ask, a smile stretching across their lips. The first genuine one in a while. - 2. “Why are we even doin’ this?” Gray moans in exaggerated despair, dramatically dragging their feet across the tar. - 3. “There are easier ways to get in my pants, sweetheart. All you had to do was ask.” They say with a forced smile before setting their shot glass down with a loud clack. - 4. “Don’t see why not.” They reply. “A little extra cash never hurt anybody.” - 5. Gray forces a stilted smile as they turn away from him, adjusting the straps across their chest. “Doubt you’ll have to wait long. Still haven’t found the other nests.” - 6. "Because you're an insufferable fuck. But you're my insufferable fuck." - 7. “I just… nobody’s said that to me in so long. It was always better not to hope for it and then I met you, and I never thought you’d feel the same way. Felt like too much to hope for.” - 8. "Shooting me would be kinder, no?" - 9. "What, so you think you can just waltz back into my life like nothin' happened? Like you didn't fucking abandon me?" - 10. “It’s half past smooching time.” They whisper to which Dante barks out a laugh. (i hate them sm <3) - 11. “Fuck, it’s worse than the last one.” Gray grumbles with a scowl, slowly bringing the glass to rest against their lips. - 12. Miko's mouth goes dry as the lie leaves her lips, her stomach twisting unpleasantly as she struggles to relax the tension in her muscles. It's the last thing on Earth she should be lying to his kid about and yet here she stands, keeping her word to that jackass so he can feel better about himself and his shitty fucking choices. They deserve better, better than Blake, better than her, better than this bleak, unstable life. And, fuck, the look on their face makes her wish she could've dragged him back here. "It's alright. Maybe he's with mom now..." They croak out, their anguish barely concealed. - 13. "You should be with someone else. Someone... normal. You don't deserve this life, don't deserve to die like... like some brute." 'Like everyone else' they wanted to say, that familiar sadness creeping back into their expression. Their shoulders tense, like the anticipatory grief is physically weighing on them. - 14. Gray laughs a little bit at that, much to Dante’s relief. “I guess I am. God knows she’s gonna be kickin’ my ass when I tell her everything I’ve done. ‘Guess I deserve it.” - 15. “I can handle myself.” Gray mutters, turning back around and not bothering with their own weapons. “Doubt anything’s even here anyway, this is a waste of time.” (said moments before disaster)

my main three wips at the moment are without sun, ballad of the final sparrow, which is more commonly known as bitverse, and fragile things (and how to break them), but i've also been fucking around a bit the last two or three weeks with a new (terrible, evil, very self-indulgent) wip called god-forbid.

i think i might be dumb bc i don't understand this question at all.

🌍 What tags or warnings will your WIP(s) need if you intend to share it?

bitverse: heavy angst, psychological horror elements, alcohol abuse, allusions to suicide, unhealthy coping mechanisms, dead dove: do not eat.

ballad of the final sparrow -> baz is typing fragile things (and how to break them) -> there's a werewolf in london god-forbid -> the gap between a tragedy and comedy

i have no idea. i mean, you'd think the answer would be without sun since it's the only fic i actually have posted at the moment, but unfortunately i am an untrustworthy villain.

♻️ A scrapped idea for your current WIP

one of the biggest changes i made to the plot of without sun really early on was penelope's role in the story. i had a clear idea of the story i wanted to tell as soon as i saw the prompt for the fic. without sun was always supposed to be about more than simon and baz. the story is about grief and love, and the space we take up in the lives of the people around us. but n e way, in my orig draft, penny was actually supposed to be able to communicate with simon a bit, and there was gonna be a whole sect of scenes in the middle of the fic where they sat around together trying to break simon's curse what we know and what we don't know style via passing notes. i ended up tossing this idea really quickly tho, and i'm glad i did bc one of my favourite moments i've ever written in any fic happens in chapter two of without sun and it belongs to simon and penny.

🤔 What’s a story you’d love to write but haven’t even started yet?

so many. or, well—what counts as "haven't even started"? i hate to let ideas sit around in my head bc it feels like leaving raspberries in the fridge for too long, like that shit is gonna get mould on it, so usually the first thing i do is rough out a few scenes and/or script out a very rough outline of the plot (like this / this / this style) so that i have something to come back to later. i have dozens of zero drafts just lying tf around. but otherwise, yeah, so many. one big idea i have is called heart on fire and it's based on fanart, but i haven't started it yet bc obvs i wanna get permission from the artist first but i've been holding off reaching out to them about it until i've knocked a few of my less intimidating longfics off my wip list bc heart on fire is gonna fucking hefty so i don't wanna give'r until i'm sure i can manage it.

1. How many works do you have on Ao3? I have 103, though only 94 are publicly available through my profile.

2. What’s your total Ao3 word count? 423,411! Quite a lot of words, if I do say so myself 😤

3. What fandoms do you write for? A huge majority of my fics (and that I'm probably more known for) are for JSHK! Before that, I was dabbling a bit in Ensemble Stars, but the second most-written fandom for me would be Fairy Tail, the series that actually inspired me to start writing!

4. What are your top five fics by kudos?

5. Do you respond to comments? I try to! Whether it's a simple comment or a detailed one, I always love reading people's thoughts! This is reminding me that I haven't done so in a long time, I'm sorry to any readers who've left comments that I haven't responded to! I've just been so busy with life that it often slips my mind >< I'll try to get to them soon!

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? That's tough... I tend to write fluff so any angsty ending might just be those with character deaths... even then some of them still get a happy ending 🤔 But if I had to pick, then it's either Heaven on Earth or Fly Away with Me?

7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? Again a toughie because I mostly write fluff lol. The first fic that comes to mind is farewells are not forever! Mostly because I was able to receive a lot of thoughts and feedback for this story in particular, so it sticks out to me the most 😊

8. Do you get hate on fics? I've only gotten two negative comments on my fics, and truthfully, I found their thoughts fair. Were they constructive criticism? No, but what they voiced was exactly how I felt about my writing, so I don't fault them for voicing their opinions. If anything, those comments helped me take a step back from writing to figure out how I wanted to continue with my writing/posting quality, so I have to thank them for that!

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind? I've written some, but as I've told Hime before, you'll need to subscribe to my (nonexistent) OnlyFans to find out 😉

10. Do you write crossovers? I don't, but I see merit in doing so! Personally, I like to write for fandoms separately. There may be AUs, but never a crossover between characters from both series/fandoms.

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen? I don't think so? If I found out I did I don't know what I'd do apart from making an announcement here or on my ao3 profile saying I currently only post works on ao3...

12. Have you ever had a fic translated? Nope. Someone offered to translate my fics for me in the past to Spanish, but around that time there was a whole drama about how one writer/translator just used Google Translate. It got heated and I got scared lol, so I asked the writer who offered to translate my fics not to translate them and even added the whole "Please do not translate my works" thing in my profile.

As someone who does translation work myself, I hope that any translations are done with love and care and not lazily thrown into a translator. That isn't to say the person who offered is any of that, on the contrary I think they were genuine with their offer, but at the time I didn't want to get wrapped up in any drama so I stepped away from anything that could drag me into it.

I think I'm more open to the thought of having my fics translated now, but I might be picky or cautious of who offers/does them.

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before? No, but I find the idea fascinating! I have a lot of self-doubt about the quality of my writing, and now that life's gotten busy there's the whole speed and availability aspect to work around too, so I don't think I'll be able to write anything for now lol

14. What’s your all time favorite ship? I can't choose! My favorite ships depend on my mood lol One moment I may love HanaNene, for example, and the next it's AmaNene, or even TsuNene, or even HanaNeneTsuka! It's hard for me to pick one.

15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will? Never ask a woman her weight, a man his salary, or a writer their WIPs u_u I've not found the time or energy to write, and currently my interest and motivation for this fic in particular is at an all-time low, but I want to finish Down the Plank and Into Your Arms. I try to ensure all my fics as completed for this account, so that's one promise I want to keep.

16. What are your writing strengths? Dialogue... maybe? More specifically, banter? That's one aspect of my writing that's often praised, so I think maybe that.

17. What are your writing weaknesses? I'd say, without a doubt, it's descriptive writing lol Sorry I've got no imagination or good words to set the scene, it just kinda fills itself in my head.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic? I've thought of doing that before, but I couldn't think of a scenario that required anyone to speak in another language lol

19. First fandom you wrote for? Fairy Tail! Quality and pet peeves of mine for the series aside, it's got a soft spot on me for being the fandom that pushed me into writing fanfic.

20. Favorite fic you’ve written? Why must you make things tough 😭 As I'm sure you've noticed by now, I'm awful at deciding a single favorite of anything. BUT, if I really had to pick only one..! It's glass shattered, clay battered.

I think this was written the month before the Severance chapter lol It's an introspective fic in Hanako's POV and it's got some metaphors/themes that I'm proud of. Even after knowing what happens post-Severance, I don't feel like the Hanako I wrote here is all that different from the Hanako we know in the manga.

Others I'm proud of are I Must Think of a New Life and I Mustn't Give In, i leave you with all that i love, but i will never let you go, Love is a Race and I'm Stuck at the Goddamn Start Line, Roots Run Deep, Leaves Grow Bare, Happily Never After, and love like a rose!

I swear that last sentence is only six other fics even if it looks like a paragraph🤧i do like me some long titles...

1) How many works do you have on AO3? - 4

2) What’s your total AO3 word count? - about 196k I cannot write short things. 😅

3) What fandoms do you write for? - everything I currently have posted is from my time in the Rami Malek fandom, so I've written for the Night at the Museum fandom, the Mr. Robot fandom, and The Pacific fandom. Now I find myself writing in the Stranger Things fandom, more specifically the Eddie Munson fandom, and soon I'll also be writing for the Red Dead Redemption 2 fandom. I just haven’t posted anything yet.

4) What are your top five fics by kudos? - well since I only have 4 posted...Left to Ruin has the most like as a whole.

5) Do you respond to comments? Why or why not? - I absolutely do. Or try my hardest to reply to them all. My writing thrives on validation, so I always want to thank those kind enough to take the time to feed that part of me. 😅

6) What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? - Definitely Left to Ruin. But everyone should've known that was gonna have a rough ending from the start considering the narrative.

7) What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? - Well, considering my Beautiful Stranger series in an indefinite hiatus, and Left to Ruin was real fucking sad, I guess Black Friday had the happiest ending?

Mmm writing fluff without adding angst. Don't get me wrong I love fluff I just can't help but do a little Suffering 🥺😈 Also time management, dragging things on, getting distracted 🥴😵‍💫

18.) What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in fic?

I do often write Francis speaking in French! (and I usually call him François bc that's the French spelling sorry hhhh) If it's a long piece of dialogue or a phrase that isn't well known, I will usually provide a translation, but if it's something like "Voila!" or "Je t'aime", y'all can figure that out for yourselves.

19.) What was the first fandom you wrote for?

Hetalia I think 🫡 I'm not rly in any other fandoms.

I have written one! It's a multi crossover one shot including Damon from tVD, Dr Cox from Scrubs and Sirius Black from Harry Potter where they meet in a bar and become drinking buddies and vent to each other. Might have potential to be extended and translated into English 🤔 been thinking of adding Dean Winchester at the end anyway...

Have you ever received hate on a fic?

I wouldn't say hate, but someone demanded I write longer chapters, and not in a nice, I-need-more way, literally demanded, which I found a bit rude.

Do you write smut? If so what kind?

That's the million dollar question isn't it? 😂 I feel like I'm slowly working up to someday writing explicit smut. I definitely have ideas 😏

Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Not that I know. Quite the opposite, someone once asked me if they could use the premise of my fic for their own. Which I said yes to. As long as you don't copy paste (parts) of my fics, you're welcome to use them as inspiration for pretty much anything.

Have you ever had a fic translated?

No, but I have attempted/started translating HP fic into German several years ago.

Have you ever co-written a fic?

Not yet!

What’s your all time favourite ship?

Gendrya, duh.

What’s a WIP you want to finish but don’t think you ever will?

Staying Over.

It's a one shot collection though, so "finish" is relative but I do have a few more ideas already planned, just not much motivation to write them at the moment.

What’s your writing strengths?

I do think I have unique ideas and if I'm in the zone I usually get the pacing right. I've definitely gotten better at plotting, too.

And weirdly, I think I'm doing alright at dialogue when that's the exact thing I used to struggle the most with. I remember that that was the task in my 15 month creative writing class that took me the longest to complete.

What’s your writing weaknesses?

Descriptions 🙃 I think years of academic writing and editing my own papers to be as concise as possible have done some damage. Plus it's super hard for my constantly fatigued brain to come up with synonyms, so my vocabulary isn't as diverse as it could be.

Also, action. Which is a big reason for why I haven't written smut yet.

What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in fic?

I think it only really works when you a) don't want the reader/protagonist to know what's being said or b) if it's a language/ expression that is widely known so it can be assumed that most people will at least roughly know what's being said. Otherwise it just becomes a mess with trying to translate within the context.

In the end, it all boils down to the fact that dialogue should always add value. Direct dialogue isn't always necessary.

What was the first fandom you wrote for?

The Vampire Diaries.

What’s your favourite fic you’ve written?

It's gotta be a tie between my one shot collection and Kink in the South.

If we're talking older fics, at the time I was very proud of a multichapter Kol/OC tVD fic that I never finished.

Heyy!! I guess you guys have noticed (or maybe not) that I have been pretty inactive lately. I just kinda feel down and not really inspired for sitting on a chair for 5h and write a story. It feels like no ideas come to my brain and all the ones I actually get I end up deleting them because I feel they're not as good as they must be so yeah, that's pretty much the reason why I've been more inactive than ever. My computer also kind of died which made everything a lot harder since I'm used to write on them and feel really uncomfortable writing on my phone/tablet so yeah. It's like universe got against me and made all this things happen so I couldn't be as active as I was in the very beginning of this blog.

But now that I have made my apologies and have given you guys a reason on what has been happening, I feel really bad for not updating in so long and taking so damn long to write your fav stories from my blog so here it is a small sneak peek at the works I'm trying to sort out👀

Mystic Messenger: this fic is about to finish. I guess about 3 or 4 more chapters for each member and it will be over. All I can say is that drama is about to explode as you might tell but don't worry!! I promise I'm not that bad and it won't end too bad 🤞🏻 or yes🤔🤪

Turn Back Time: We're in a crutial moment of the story so it is kind of hard to sort it out, specially because of the time travels and all the details that need to be well planned so it makes sense, but I hope to have the new chapter by the end of this week so stay tuned!!

Break: I haven't forgotten about my fellow aroha followers!! I promise I'll keep working on this story and update soon. I have almost finished the next part so yeah, I hope I can post it at the end of this week as well or the beginning of next week

Love Shot: Actually, ngl this is the fic I'm most excited about. I already have all the plot and the first two chapters written so it might come out on August as I said on the Masterlist (you guys have gone insane with this fic and it hasn't even started, I really hope it fulfill your expectations). Once Upon A Crime: If you're an old follower you might remember a poll I made about this fic with Yuto from Pentagon. Well, it is kind of sorted out but still have some details I need to correct before posting the Masterlist so it might take me some time to post it.

A royal!AU where the reader travels in time back on the days of Korean Kingdom's. Got this idea after watching Karma and Excalibur from Kingdom and immediately thought about making it a fic (plus I've been wanting to do a Royal!AU for some time now). Here is when the problem comes: should I write it with Kingdom? Or should I write it with The Boyz? If I write it with Tbz I already have the main ideas so I could start plotting it already but if I write it with Kingdom I only have the stories of Arthur and Chiwoo so I would have to wait for the rest of the comebacks to come out so I can have all the stories 😕 If you guys know anything about what the story of the rest of the "Kings" are, please let me know, I really want to write this story with them since they're the ones giving me the main idea😭

Omg a presentation that's literally it lol! But yes roleplaying in your head helps for sure, just thinking of questions and how youd answer. I have faith you'll do amazing when you get to that point! With sleep I had a shit pattern anyway (I was on American time lol) but feel more alert now I've fixed it. I think go to bed earlier than usual especially if you're feeling anxious.

ummm. i think... maybe how dramatic but also straight-up unrealistic some of my older work is? like rescue me is ridiculous.

ooooh. probably the half-finished baradine fics. partly bc i feel disillusioned by jack barakat as a whole rn and don't know if that will ever go away, and partly bc i don't feel the same way about the ship as i used to. it was a sweet fantasy for me for many years and i think aesthetically they would make a good couple but i've always been garbage at writing het fics and now i feel even less of a pull to finish them soooooo... they might never see the light of day.

LMAO. i actually haven't written in forever. maybe since pre-pandemic? no that's probably not true but i did write very little since the start of covid. i wrote a bit of a fic for the first time in sooooo long the other night. normally i would go through periods of writing one week and then not the next but this is probably THE longest writing break i have ever taken.

It’s hard to tell what John feels after we fuck though. Or even before. During, it’s different, but sex is sex and the high makes him clingy.

“We still on for Saturday?” John’s voice breaks me out of my thoughts of iniquity, and I look at him for a moment before it registers what he’s said.

“Oh, uh, yeah. Yeah, man, Saturday’s still good,” I nod.

The edge of John’s mouth quirks into a smile, perfectly aligned teeth almost gleaming at me. “You ever gonna pass that back?”

I realise the joint is still burning away between my fingers, and I laugh, taking one more quick draw before I give it to him. Our fingers brush as I pass it, and I feel my skin tingling. Our eyes meet when he breathes in the smoke, and I know he’s picturing me naked.

Yeah. Saturday’s still good.
