A/N: ..... i don't want to do this.... ugh...

Jupiter was watching from afar, the boy who had captured Lyra's heart, and the man who she personally had fallen hard for in a short amount of time.

Jopari had grabbed Will, and spun, getting shot in the back. Jupiter quickly ran out from her hiding place to throw a dagger at the magisterium member who had shot him.

"Dad?" she heard Will's voice falter, and she turned to watch them both go to the ground.

"shit!" she hissed out under her breathe and ran over to see if Will needed help for his father. "is it bad?" she asked, knowing the answer already.

Jupiter heard Jopari mutter something to Will, and his Daemon landed on her lap. she was caught off guard by the touch of the daemon because of the rule she grew up with. she didn't know what to do.

Then it happened. the Daemon started to turn into dust and float away, which gave them the answer as to how bad Jopari's wound was.

"NOO!" she screamed out and desperately started to try collecting the dust particles, to no avail. tears running down both Will's and her own cheeks. she leaned over to Jopari's body and cupped his cheeks, kissing his forehead. one last goodbye.

i'm so bugged by many things in hdm3 but the pacing threw me off, they were Rushing through the first half but the last two episodes dragged for so long

#also asriel got a much bigger role and we couldn't properly discover the mulefa and their world #ik you can't adapt everything but it was important to the story it wouldn't have hurt to add 2 more episodes #we couldn't even see the giant swan boat thingies #i didn't like season 3 as much as the previous two but it was still good yk #mostly thanks to the wonderful actors #his dark materials #hdm #hdm spoilers

I watched s4 of tdp and I really liked it!

I have many random thoughts but I don't really have the time to turn it all into a serious post, so I'll just ramble a bit in the tags. Spoiler warning!

#tdp #tdp spoilers #i love soren so much. he might be my favorite character now #i enjoyed all the new characters and i like how they handled the old ones #i was afraid stella would be annoying but she was actually quite cute. besides the suspicious moments #all the dragons designs are magnificent. love them so much #the new intro makes me think of hdm intro. i don't mind it though #the solo cello part is hauntingly beautiful #mhm what else. i like how callum and rayla's relationship was handled. felt natural to me #also ive seen comments about rayla feeling off or out of character. i personally haven't felt that #i think how she's acting makes sense taking moonshadow elf culture into consideration #i don't really need to know everything that happened during 2 year gap. though i wonder if anything interesting did happen only #we don't know it yet #the season felt kinda slow but i don't mind this #i'd rather take slow than rushed #i enjoy viren much more now that he's more torn and unsure #claudia as a villain is fun to watch #her ralationship with terry is interesting i wonder what she really thinks about him #oh and i loved all the atla references. the yip #yip felt me with so much joy haha #there's much more in my head but i'll leave it at this for now. i really want to make some fanart!! #but i don't know if i'll find the time #me talking stuff

okay fucj i just finished them. and let me just say i am a little annoyed with the changes they made. i understand that some things are hard to adapt but not really sure why they changed those things, i feel like they could have followed the book just fine. everything with ogunwe was interesting, but i was bored and it felt like a filler tbh. it was fun to see balthamos and baruch, but i didn't really feel the love between them like in the book. also balthamos isn't the sassy wimp which was disappointing. i felt like all of this could have just been one episode, we have so much left to cover and it felt like they were stalling. hopefully they won't make more stuff up in the next set of episodes

said this before but my fave thing about the “we all need support” mrs c scene from HDM season 3 is it’s such lyra-esque humour. it reminds me of the “what a wonderful moustache” scene with lyra in season 2. it’s subtle mocking humour & lyra deffo inherited it from marisa 💀

anyway fuck bbc for deciding to release all of hdm s3 on iplayer at once... almost 2 weeks after it starts airing on hbo and in literally the rest of the world... and THEN it's also when they'll start airing it weekly on bbc 1... i get that it's the last season and the show didn't preform nearly as well as you hoped it to but it still deserves better than this. you've literally taken the netflix model and made it worse
