구미호뎐 | 이동욱 Lee Dong Wook VLIVE 2020.11.18 - *VS* Game
In which Lee Dong Wook’s promotional team present him with ridiculous Tale of the Nine Tailed-themed questions to answer (and the occasional embarrassing line to perform). Full transcription below the cut.
Full Transcript [0:37:41~1:08:30]
Intro
Then, now in earnest we’ll... (breaks down laughing at himself). Don’t I talk a lot? Right? I mean, every week they release a behind the scenes video, right? And in all of them it’s just me talking the whole time. Of course, I really sort of joked around a bit on set. Well, not a bit. I joked around a ton on set, with the staff and the with the other actors, I did have fun playing around a lot and I did that but...I mean I was just talking so much, all by myself [in the BTS]. It was to the extent that I thought, ‘Hey, what’s with this? Is that why I was so exhausted?’ (chuckles). Yes (chuckles more). I’m a chatterbox, a chatterbox, a chatterbox.
Well, in any case, we’ve now had free talk for about 40 minutes (chuckling at himself), so now we’ll start the first activity prepared for me by my promotional team in earnest.
[Looking to his staff] What might the first activity be? [Staff shoves a box full of folded slips of paper towards him silently]. (Breaks into laughter) [To the staff] Well what is this? [*silence*] (Bursts into a fit of laughter watching the staff) No, it’s not that, it’s just, will you die if you talk here? No, everyone, it’s fine if you talk. Everyone, promotional team...
[To the viewers again] Right now there are five members of my promotional team in front of me, six including my manager, but they won’t say a single word (laughing), like people who will die if they speak. [To his staff] I just have to pick one? Ah, if I pick one I’ll naturally understand? Understood. Then I’ll, (more laughter). In that case, I’ll pi- (bursts into another fit of laugher). Understood. Then I’ll pick one.
[Selects a paper] Okay! I picked one. They’re telling me that if I pick one I’ll naturally come to understand, so I picked one. [Holding the paper up] I see, it’s a VS game.
Q: Who is the strongest whiner? [0:39:48~]
A. Sajang who is whining to give him the Chinese lantern plant - VS - B. Yoo Ri who is whining to save Lee Rang-nim
(Laughing) [To his staff] Yah~ the question is really cute. Did you all prepare this? Oh, I see. This is cute.
[Re-reads the question] I think, in any case, for this one, I can’t help but think that Sajang who is whining to give him the Chinese lantern plant is the strongest whiner. I mean, as a human being, if you’ve lived for hundreds of years isn’t it enough already? While torturing people, while eating the Chinese lantern plant, do you really have to cling to life? I can’t help but think that... (trails off)
⇒ A
Ah, and Eom Hyo Seob-sunbae who plays Sajang acted together with me in Life [2018], so when I met him again this time I was happy to see him. In Life he was the head of the Cancer Center, and I was a fellow in the Emergency Medical Center, so on set I used to call him ‘Mr. Cancer Center Chief’ (laughing). I would be like, ‘Mr. Cancer Center Chief, you’re here!’ like that. Well, in any case, there was that behind the scenes, a very slight, a very slight TMI.
[Note: Sa-jang-nim is actually just his job title meaning ‘head of a company’ while ‘Am-center-jang-nim’ means ‘head of the Cancer Center.’ LDW was basically using his title from Life instead of his title in TotNT.]
(Clears his throat) Okay then I’ll pick the next one. [Pulls another slip] I’ve picked it. [Spends a second debating where to place the box of questions]. I’ve picked one.
Q: Which scene was the most moving to Lee Yeon? [0:41:33~]
A. The scene where he saved Ji Ah after he returned in a near-death state from the Knife Mountain Hell - VS -  B. The scene where he went to save Lee Rang who stood on death’s door in the Forest of the Starved
Yah, but for this one, isn’t the question framed wrong? In this case, these kids were the ones who were moved by me, weren’t they? (Laughs)
[Looking at his staff] No? Oh, talk! Please just talk! (Dies laughing)
[Looks back at the viewers] For this, I would have to ask these two though? I’d have to ask these two, for this one, I think that rather than Lee Yeon being moved, these were scenes where these two were probably moved by Lee Yeon. But in any case, the ending to episode 4 here and the ending of episode [8] where I go to save Rang-ie, they’re both meaningful. They’re iconic scenes that you can’t miss in our drama, they’re precious scenes, so I like both of them.
⇒ x
[Noting the heart count in the VLIVE app]
[Reading the live chat] I’m not going to call them. Those two are both busy people who each have their own lives so for me to suddenly call them would be an irresponsible thing to do. For today’s VLIVE, please just be satisfied watching me. I’m not going to call Kim Beom-ssi or Jo Bo Ah-ssi.
Then, moving on to the next question...
Q: If you had to have one as a morning desert, would you choose: [0:43:28~]
A. Meal worms that taste like mint chocolate ice cream - VS - B. Mint chocolate ice cream that tastes like meal worms
If you had to have one as a morning desert, would you choose: ‘meal worms that taste like mint chocolate ice cream’ ‘aish~ (laughing). [Knocks over the white board and fixes it] Okay, ‘mint chocolate flavored meal worms’ or, ‘meal worm flavored mint chocolate ice cream’? (chuckling - 3rd gif).
[To his staff] Who’s ever tried eating meal worms? What do they even taste like, meal worms?
Ah what’s with this~ How am I supposed to choose one of these? (Ponders the question for a bit) So I’ll choose B. Meal worm-flavored mint chocolate ice cream. (Sighs) Don’t you think it would at least be better to be eating ice cream? Rather than eating insects that taste like mint chocolate, I’ll eat ice cream. (Shaking his head) Ah~ that’s hard.
⇒ B
[Reading the live chat] Oh, it tastes nutty? Eh? You tried eating it? You’re saying you tried eating meal worms when you were seven? Who would try eating meal worms? There’s a lot of interesting people...
[Selecting another paper] Okay, next.
Q: If you had to dispose of one of your abilities which would you choose? [0:45:25~]
A. The ability to control nature - VS - B. The teleportation ability to move anywhere in an instant
Wah~ You can’t miss out on either of them though? Ah~ There’s nothing more appealing than the ability to teleport. Everyone, please think about it. How much time each day do we loose on the road? On our way to school, on our way to work, getting off work, going to cram school. If you save that time, you can get that much more sleep, right? That’s a really big [merit]. And think about it. When coronavirus ends and you can travel abroad again. Then you can use teleportation to go abroad instantly. You don’t have to spend like 14 hours on a plane.
The ability to control nature, how cool is this? This is really something that not just anybody can do. (Sighs while pondering the question again) Even so, if I had to give up one of them...I would give up my ability to teleport. I would use my ability to control nature and like...make it rain when there’s a drought, or make the rain stop when it rains too much, make the wind blow where there’s need of wind, that’s how I’d like to use my power. That’s what I’d do, yes.
⇒ B
[Talking to his staff] Oh~ you guys really did a good job coming up with difficult and weird questions. Really, the promotional team’s performance right now is really beyond my expectations. [Looking at a member of his staff] (chuckles) You really don’t ever smile, do you? (Laughing) Okay, continuing on, then...
Mission: “Don’t fly away. Your puppy will cry.” [0:47:15~]
‘Don’t fly away, your puppy will cry.’ [Looks to his staff] What’s this? You’re telling me to do this? (Looks at the paper for a while) You’re telling me to do this? Ah, this one’s a mission? So there’s not just VS questions, huh?
[To the viewers] Today, before doing the VLIVE, they told me about this corner and asked if I wanted to see the game ahead of time, and I said ‘I won’t. It’ll be more fun if I’m seeing it for the first time,’ but now I’m wishing I’d looked at it in advance. (Looks at the paper and sighs)
[To his staff] I have to do this like in the drama, don’t I? Is that right? (Laughs hollowly and puts his head down on the table) Ah~ I’m going crazy, seriously... (Puts his hands up to his face like in the drama but then can’t handle it and puts his head down on the desk again) ‘Aish~
[Softly to his staff] Everyone get out. Everyone go out. I want to be by myself.
“Don’t fly away, your puppy will cry~” (Performs the line but then can’t take his hands away from his face in embarrassment. Takes a long moment to collect himself)
(Sits up with his eyes closed) [Staff start clapping] Everyone get out. Leave before I open my eyes. I want to be by myself. If I open my eyes I think I’ll be really embarrassed so leave. (Waits a minute before opening his eyes, sighs, and then turns and calls to his staff). Team Manager, is there any soju? (chuckles) Okay, I understand.
[To the viewers] Ah, the promotional team really went and prepared a lot of things that I didn’t even imagine. Thanks a lot [said very formally but also without any sincerity whatsoever lol].
Q: If you were to be born again as a human, would you prefer to be: [0:49:25~]
A. A rich unemployed person - VS - B. A civil servant guaranteed employment until retirement
Of course it’s unconditionally A, right! There’s no need to even think this one over. Ah! (covers his mouth) Actually there are a lot of students watching right now. Everyone, you still need to study hard. We can’t be unemployed, right?
But I’m going with a rich unemployed person. OK.
⇒ A
Okay, next. [To his staff] I have to do all of these, right? (Answering his own question) Well, because I have to pay respect to the work you put into preparing them...hmmm [To his staff] Team Manager, that soju, can you put it into a water bottle and just... (laughs) Ah, it’s hot~
(Opens the next slip of paper and yells in chagrin) Ah, this!
Q: A never-ending battle? [0:50:12~]
A. Amazing Saturday - VS - B. Yoo Quiz
[Note: This question requires context so bear with me or skip to the next one. ;)
As part of the promotional rounds for TotNT, Lee Dong Wook, Jo Bo Ah, and Kim Beom appeared on Ep.128 of the quiz show, Amazing Saturday. There, they made a bet with the regular cast surrounding one of the quiz answers where whoever lost the bet would have to give a shout out to the other program (so if the TotNT cast won, the Amazing Saturday cast would have to promote the drama on their other variety shows, and if the AS cast won, the TotNT cast would have to reference AS in TotNT). They lost, and Lee Dong Wook promised he would reference AS at some point in an adlib. (This whole segment was actually really great because everyone figured it would be impossible and LDW was just like, ‘Call! I accept the challenge. I can do that.’ You can watch it here from about 5:50~)
LDW upheld his promise in EP05 when Yeon and Ji Ah go drinking and they compare the things they like. When LDW threw out the question he asked, ‘Yoo Quiz (another program that a close friend of his appears on) or Amazing Saturday?’ So then he felt apologetic towards Yoo Quiz and ended up sending them a coffee truck when Gong Yoo (Goblin, 2016) appeared as a guest on the program about a week or so before this VLIVE took place....so even though he’d finally managed to sort everything out, his staff are basically inciting him by asking him to choose again lol]
[Takes a moment before addressing the viewers] Just when I had finally finished all my reparations...(Nodding to himself) Just when I had finished all my reparations another wave is going to happen. (Looks at the paper for a long time) I’d like to appear on both programs sometime. If Amazing Saturday would invite me again, and Yoo Quiz please invite me sometime. I’ll just leave it at that. (Sighs) It’s hard, it’s hard.

[Takes a moment to drink some water and reiterate the things he wrote on his white board]
[Reading the live chat] Ah, it’s water, it’s water! It’s not soju, it’s not soju. This has been here since earlier. Everyone don’t misunderstand, that’ll be a big problem. There’s no way I’d do a live broadcast while drinking alcohol. Bad things would happen. No, please don’t misunderstand.
[Reading the live chat] It’s water, it’s water, yes. Please don’t misunderstand.
[Gives a shout out to the overseas fans and thanks them for the coffee trucks and gifts]
[Reading the live chat] My alcohol tolerance? My alcohol tolerance differs from day to day, but I never drink so much that I’m completely drunk or lose control of myself. I only ever drink enough that I’m still in good possession of myself and able and get home safely.
Then, continuing on. There are... (counts them) six left. There are six left, so I’ll continue...
[Suddenly thinks of something and looks to his staff] Are there more missions in here? You’re not going to tell me, are you? In any case. Alright. (To himself) How can I avoid picking those? Well, I have to do them all anyway...
(Opens the next one, reads it, and chuckles) [To his staff] You guys are crazy, seriously...
Q: If they were both drowning, who would you save first? [0:53:24~]
A. Ji Ah - VS - B. Shin Joo
If they fell in the water, if they fell in the water....Ah~ So this is how Shin Joo felt yesterday, this is how he felt. Yah~ ‘If they were both drowning, who would you save first, Ji Ah or Shin Joo?’ Ah~ I understand our actor Hwang Hee’s feelings. I understand Shin Joo’s feelings (sighs, then remembers something and chuckles).
[Note: This question is a reference to an exchange on Instagram. In preparation for an interview with Esquire, Hwang Hee posted on his Instagram inviting people to ask him TotNT-related questions. So Lee Dong Wook (who doesn’t run his own Instagram and isn’t on social media) texted a bunch of questions to Kim Beom and Jo Bo Ah to ask in his place. One question that he had Jo Bo Ah ask was, ‘If Lee Yeon and Yoo Ri were both drowning, who would you save?’ to which Hwang Hee responded, ‘That water, I will drink it all.’ lol]
[Looking directly at the camera] ‘That water, I will drink it all.’ (breaks into laughter) I’ll drink all of the water...Even if my water consumption goes badly I’ll do my best to save both of them.
[Reading the live chat] Ah, that’s right! I’m a mountain god so I can just make the wind blow like this and just part the water, I just need to do that. Why didn’t I think of that? As expected, the fans who are posting comments here are much smarter than me. Thank you.
That’s right. I was a mountain god. But I completely forgot that...
⇒ x
I’m not a really fast swimmer or anything but I’m still decent and I like playing in the water. I mentioned Life briefly earlier as well, but while shooting Life, free... (catches sight of something and starts laughing)
[Holds up a slip of paper with the words ‘Are you angry?’ written on it - lol] I’ve just received this message from my promotional team. No, not at all, what are you saying? I’m not mad. I’m not mad, and we can talk about more detailed things after the broadcast is over.
[Turns back to the viewers] When I was shooting Life, I learned free diving. I’d dive into about 10m deep water, so I don’t have any big rejection (fear) of water. But the ocean is different. Because the ocean has waves and undertow, you really need to be careful.
[Reading the live chat] I can’t do the butterfly stroke. The butterfly stroke is diffic-  [Catches sight of the next prompt card and stops speaking mid-sentence. Drops the paper, sits back, and sighs lol]
(Holding the paper up reluctantly for the viewers to see)
Mission: “Part this darkness and lead me to that woman!” [0:55:32~]
(Long sigh)
[To his staff] How did you manage to pick all the most...these sort of lines, everyone?
(Reads the line out and laughs) You really went and picked just these kinds of lines one after another....I’ll do it standing, I’ll do it standing. Since I’m doing it anyway, I’ll do it standing.
(Spreads his arms wide and delivers the line like in the drama, then slowly sinks to the floor and makes like he’s going to crawl under the desk)
(Returns to his seat as one staff member starts clapping) [Looking at the person] Don’t clap. That’s more cheeky, don’t clap. Yah, if you’re going to clap you should all have clapped, what’s with just one person clapping? (laughs) Agh~
Even so, since today the broadcast was cancelled, even if I’m a bit...embarrassed or whatever, if you can enjoy yourselves, I’m satisfied with that. Yes. (Sighs again) This is definitely going around the internet as gifs, isn’t it? [Lol it definitely did] Yes, well, but in service of alleviating your disappointment at the broadcast being cancelled, I can handle this much. (Nods to himself) Okay, then continuing on...
Q: If you had to wear the same outfit and hairstyle for the rest of your life, would you choose: [0:58:02~]
A. The clothing of a mountain god + dark hair styled with pomade - VS - B. A suit + red and silver long hair
(Already laughing as he reads the question - gifs 1&2). Hey, this is essentially that right? Either the clothes are the mountain god clothes and the hair is dark and combed back with pomade in a modern style, or wear a suit with the mountain god hair, right?
[Directing the question to the live chat] Everyone please choose. Which do you think would suit me? What do you think would suit me, everyone please choose for me. Please send me your choice via the chat. I’ll choose whatever you choose.
Ah, this is really, the balance on this is really no joke. Wah~ This is really hard. Wah~  I mean, wearing a suit with that mountain god hair (breaks down laughing) Ah, how could you live your life like that? (more laughter) Ah, okay, I know. I know that this isn’t for real. And I know that there’s no way it could happen, too. But why do I end up taking it so seriously? Because I can’t help but keep picturing it (laughs).
[Checks the live chat] Oh? There are a ton of B’s? There are way more B’s than A’s? I see. I understand. In that case, if it ever became like this, if I could only wear one outfit and have one hairstyle for the rest of my life, I would have the suit and the mountain god (breaks into laughter before finishing his sentence) I’ll have the mountain god hair. Yah~ this one...the balance was good. Ah~ of all the questions in this VS game so far I think maybe the balance on this was the best.
⇒ B
Okay, then continuing on...Everyone, there are still 3 questions left. I have to do three more questions.
[Takes a water break]
Then I will continue with the game.
Q: Which term of affection would you prefer to hear from Ji Ah? [1:00:55~]
A. OPPA - VS - B. My puppy
‘What term of affection would you want to hear from Ji Ah? O-P-P-A, VS, my puppy.’ [He literally spells out the word in English here instead of just saying oppa lol]
Hm~ Hm~ [Takes a break to check the chat and reiterates that he’s drinking water and not soju] Please stop chatting that it’s soju. I’m going to get in trouble with Naver. That’d be bad, really bad. It’s water, don’t misunderstand.
[Returning to the prompt] ‘What term of affection would you want to hear from Ji Ah? O-P-P-A, VS, my puppy.’ Within the drama, Ji Ah has never once called me oppa, right? From the very beginning, she just uses banmal (chuckles) And from the very beginning she says ‘I waited for you (neo)’, right? [Note: ‘neo’ can be a bit rude, or at the very least isn’t polite]. So I think if she called me oppa it would be really awkward. I think, I just want Ji Ah to dote on me. So I’ll pick ‘my puppy.’ Because foxes are canines too.
⇒ B
Q: What makes you more angry? [1:02:15~]
A. When Imoogi fixates on Ji Ah - VS - B. When Sajang tries to drive a wedge between you and Lee Rang
Ah, okay, things that make Lee Yeon angry, right? ‘What makes Lee Yeon more angry?’ (Reads out the options) Ah~ This one is a bit... the balance doesn’t crumble in this situation. This one is definitely A.
To be honest, when Sajang tries to drive a wedge between the brothers, because I’m perfectly capable of resolving that myself, and I actually did resolve it in the drama, so that’s not a big problem. Also, I think that Lee Rang isn’t the type to fall for that either...
But when Imoogi fixates on Ji Ah, at those times, yes, a bit - well, not a bit - I get very angry.
That’s why, there’s that [scene] in the drama right? Where we’re fighting on the rooftop, and Imoogi says something about Ji Ah so I get angry and say ‘this XX,’ like that. And when he’s got ahold of Ji Ah’s shoulder, I show up and say I’ll break his wrist and such...yes.
⇒ A
[Reading the live chat] ‘When this is over is the promotional team going to be okay?’ Of course! They’re safe. It’s been amusing for me too. Only one question is left.
[Reading  the live chat] ‘Are you close with Lee Tae Ri-nim?’ Yes, we’re close. All of us actors in Tale of the Nine Tailed are close and doing well.
[Reading the live chat] ‘If you mess with Ji Ah, Lee Yeon won’t stand for it, right?’ That’s right.
[Reading the live chat] ‘Long time no see, Lee Yeon’ (quoting Imoogi). Yeah, long time no see~
[redacted]
[Reading from the live chat] ‘I pray that at least one of those is a normal mission’ (laughs) [To his staff] Yah, look at that. Even the fans are telling you they hope it’s a normal mission. Okay, the last mission. [Holds up the empty box and reads off the title] ‘Do You Really Want to See It, Lee Dong Wook’s VLIVE?’, the last mission. Ah! I said mission, but. The last, I’ll now attempt to pick the last VS. It might not be a mission. Okay, what’ll it be? Ta-da! Ah~ it wasn’t a mission.
Q: If you had to experience hell one more time, which would you choose? [1:06:27~]
A. The Knife Mountain Hell full of knives - VS - B. The Forest of the Starved full of agwi?
(Blows out a long breath and contemplates the question for a while) This is hard. Why is this hard, you ask? I had a really really hard time filming both sequences. I went through a lot filming both, and the memories of those times keep flashing across my mind...Even so, I....
[Reading the live chat] ‘This question stresses me out.’ ‘I hate both.’ ‘There’s no end to the Forest of the Starved even if you die, right?’ ‘I really hate the Forest of the Starved.’ You’re right.
[Reading the live chat] ‘The knives hurt don’t they?’ That’s right.
[Reading the live chat] ‘Wah~ Isn’t this too cruel?’ [To his staff] Everyone, isn’t this too cruel, they say.... It’s not?
Okay, If I had to experience one again....I will not go to hell. I won’t choose~
⇒ x
Okay, with this, I played the VS game, and the occasional missions hidden in between, that my promotional team put a lot of effort into preparing for us. This was fun. [To his team] You did a really good job choosing the questions (nodding). Thank you all. Thanks (claps).
~~~
Wow, that was long! If you read this far, thanks for your attention and please consider liking or reblogging to let me know. I also posted a transcription of some of the Q&A that follows this, so please check that out as well if you’re interested. Annyeong~!
THE STAR - hope, faith, rejuvenation
It had been a few weeks since they had met Johnny and joined his circus. To them, it felt odd and almost silly to be considered part of the circus... It never changed the fact, though. They hadn’t really met anyone there yet, at least not anyone to be considered more than a acquaintance maybe. Although, they did met a boy named Jisung, who was one of minor acrobatics, around Cosimia’s age.
They never saw him much, considering he worked in the big tent while they had a smaller tent of their own in the carnival part. They still lived with Ten and Sicheng, so immediately after they were done working they would go back to the trailer for some peace for themselves. It made it so they never really had time to hang out with the other kids their age or just the others there.
They were given a day off when they stopped in Texas, near the coast. Donghyuck was eager about the small break as he was exhausted from having to pick up and go every other day. It was all too much work for him on top of the long, hot days they had to go through. Cosimia remained on the other side of spectrum, excited about traveling and the work she was given. He guessed seeing the sparkle in her eyes whenever she looked out the window of the trailer as it moved down the road kept him going through it all.
They sat on the floor of the living room in the trailer. Sicheng and Ten were eating outside along with everyone else since meals were covered by Johnny at one of the tents. The green of money filed in neat piles in between the two as Cosimia counted the last of it. He stared at it, zoning out until the girl across from him picked it all up and put them together.
“We have around two thousand dollars,” She said, counting the bills again. “But I doubt we’ll spend it all today...”
“How are we even going to spend it?” Donghyuck asked. “We’re in the middle of nowhere and we don’t have phones to shop on.”
“Come on.” She rolled her eyes while getting up from the floor while she took all the money with her as well.
He didn’t really have a say in the matter and was quick to follow after her since half the money was his. She was fast, didn’t let him catch up for a second either as she walked all the way to the tent that had smoke coming out of it. The sound of people talking and coals crackling got louder.
He realized he had stopped for a moment right outside of the dirty white and red striped tent. He saw Cosimia round the corner, in enough time, to which he ran after her, almost loosing her in the crowd of their co-workers. She was walking toward the table Sicheng and Ten sat at. He stood back once he saw the dark haired male stand up and leave, not even bothering to look up from the ground. He still was not on very good terms with Ten, but then again, no one really ever was other than maybe Sicheng.
The other was left with a bunch of other people he seemed to be friends with. The girl continued to walk over to him, unaware she was even there until her hand rested on her shoulder and she bent down.
“Can we borrow the truck?” She whispered in his ear.
She had straighten her posture, him turning to looking up at her while putting his fork down. He moved around in his seat to go digging through his pocket. The familiar sound of keys jiggling rang before he gave them to her.
“Don’t crash it and never tell Ten I let you use our truck.” He demanded.
“Thank you!” She chimed before she walked away.
She had spotted Donghyuck when she turned around. He only looked at her with a questioning expression as he hadn’t seen the keys or anything. She grinned once she walked up to him and place the keys on his chest that then fell into his hands. He was shocked by it and stared at the set in his hands. She continued to walk, presumably toward Sicheng’s truck.
“Are you coming or what?” She chuckled as she turned around and walk backwards.
A slight smile came to his lips at her the sight of her chuckle. He run to catch up with her once again that day. They approached the rusty, blue, beat up truck together and got in. He, of course, drove but it took some time considering it was a stick shift and its age but it still started up.
They had smiled at each other once the engine started before he took off, rather quickly which left a cloud of dust behind them in the dirt.
Throughout the drive he noticed him occasionally looking over at her, just to check in. She remain quiet as she looked out the window, watching as nothing went by. For some reason, he found a little joy within just that. He wished the radio wasn’t busted because maybe then it would’ve made things more fun. The drive wasn’t long, the stores began to appear the further they drive down the road and they came to stop in front of a retro looking thrift shop.
She seemed excited as she jumped out of the truck, leaving Donghyuck to run after her get again. When they got inside, he was saw the clothing racks were full of color, parts of the store were overcrowded with furniture giving it an oddly comfortable feel. There was a section he was drawn to, it was narrow but full of old board games, movies and recorders.
He could see Cosimia dashing around the store, taking things off the racks, impulsively, and carrying them. He could see her fine from the the corner of his as he mostly focused on the records around him. It’s not like he was going to buy any of them as much as he wished, he had no record player but man, did Ten’s music annoy him so much at this point... He sighed to himself as his fingers lingered on the old things.
He had just then noticed his friend was no where in sight. He started to feel panic arise in his chest, not being able to see her anywhere. He went looking everywhere like a lost puppy until he stumbled across a section of the store that had curtains hung up to make a sort of dressing room. It had a three way mirror in the corner that seem to sit in the sun just right. He realized the mountain of cloths that laid on the velvet banquette settee center. They were men’s clothes, in his size and everything...
He was startled when the bright yellow curtains opened suddenly to reveal the girl he’d been looking for. She didn’t pay a mind to him as she walked over to the three way mirror to stand in the middle. She wore a long, royal purple skirt with a gold and yellow pattern of a planchette from a ouija. She smoothed it out while trying to fix the way her white t-shirt tucked into it. To be honest, it seemed like her and it seemed she thought so too by the way she smiled herself in the mirror and twirled, playfully. It made him smile to watch her like that, he’d never seen her act that way. The way the sun lit up the fabric as she twirled was quite beautiful as well, in his thought process. With the skirt glowing around her, he saw she wore black boots, a little beat up but it worked for her. He caught himself staring too much, probably looking like an idiot from how afar he admired her from.
Bags filled up the small backseat of the truck by the time they were done in the thrift store. The vechile was welcomely warm and stuffy when the both of them had finally got in.
“Is there anything else we should get before we get back or are we good?” He sighed as his hands rested on the stirring wheel.
She looked at her hair. The cherry red that was once there was now gone and replaced with a strawberry blonde color. One of which he knew she wasn’t too fond of, on herself anyway.
“We should go get hair dye,” She answered. “You look like you could need some too.”
She ruffled his hair a bit as she spoke. She didn’t seem to notice how shallow her breath got at the smallest of touching she’d done as she buckled her seatbelt. It took him a second to come down and do the same before he drove to the nearest drug store they could find.
It didn’t take long for her to pick a box for herself as they stood in the aisle next to each other. His hair was fading to a chalky, pastel orange. It reminded him of pixie stick dust but fried and crunchy. How he came to end up with orange hair? His friend, Yangyang, decided to bleach and dye his hair an obnoxious color as a prank when he blackout drunk freshman year. It was surprisingly how the color held for so long, his roots barely showing.
“What about you?” Cosimia asked. “What color do you want?”
“I don’t know,” He shrugged. “Don’t really care that much either. The whole dyed hair was a prank and I never got around to dying it black again after it happened...”
“While I do think black would look good on you, I think lighter colors suit you better.” She sighed.
She remained silent as she looked at him for a minute while she clearly contemplated. She reached out and came to hold his chin, moving it around as she pleased to get a different angle. His breath easily hitched in his throat at her gentle action. She had never been one for physical attributes and to know she was doing the littlest things meant so much to him. She was getting more comfortable with him and he loved that fact. She let him go as gently as she had held him. She hummed a bit as she bent down to the colored dyes once again. She grabbed a box of silver hair dye with ease before she handed it to him.
“It will compliment your skin tone,” She have a slight smile. “Make it look more like gold than it already does.”
She turned a way from him with a smile, walking down the aisle, not even daring to look back at him which he was somewhat thankful about. He stood there, in the same place, too lost in himself as he could feel the skipped beats of his heart. He clutched the box of dye in his hand as he could feel the evident, hot blush come to his cheeks before it heated up his whole body. It was the littlest of things.
He didn’t understand it, the feelings that had never been felt before. Didn’t understand what intrigued him about her so much that he’d fake his death just go with her, didn’t understand the attraction to her like magnets or why he liked and hated the feeling as well.
The drive back remained a blur to him. He was too focused on her gestures throughout the day which meant absolutely nothing, to her at least. It was that odd blur where one remembers only how the felt and can piece small things together, but nothing else. He remembers the warm feeling he felt throughout his body, much like a fever as his grip on the steering wheel was hard enough to turn his hands white, but that was it.
When they had gotten back, the grounds were bare, few people were out running around in the dusty area. They went back to the trailer, even called out for Ten and Sicheng as they came back in. The two didn’t seem to be there when they came in which left them wondering where they could’ve gone since they had taken their truck. It didn’t last long though.
Cosimia threw the bags on the couch and grabbed the box of hair dye. She quickly grabbed Donghyuck’s hand before she ran to the bathroom. She even shut the door behind them, not taking into consideration how small it was. There wasn’t enough room for two people, leaving him leaned up against the wall. It was happening again, the hot feeling through his body he hated and loved.
“There’s... not a lot of room in here...” He practically gulped.
“Well, I’m gonna help you and you’re gonna help me,” She smiled with a glint in her eye. “We’ll make it work.”
He banged his head on the wall, on accident of course, after she had gotten closer to him in that moment. How close their faces were left him nervous. She giggled at him as he just held back a groan.
“Now, I definitely have to help you...” She chuckled.
He went first. She stripped his hair of the remaining pastel orange and washed it out. She was gentle, especially around where he has injured him. It felt nice to have someone run their hand through his hair, even if it was wet and his neck was straining. The moment felt nice as well in an unexplainable way.
As he wait for his hair to dry to apply the silver, he help Cosimia dye her own hair. He didn’t know exactly what he was doing but it gave for a few good laughs as the sink, floor and even their skin was stained a red-ish purple. Then it was his turn to have his put in which thankfully didn’t come out as messy since the girl knew what she was doing. The stains left by him where already going to anger Ten a lot, which enough.
He wrapped a towel around his head as she turned to wash her hands, the both of them smiling to each other without the knowledge. Before she could turn on the faucet, the very clear sound of the trailer opening was heard. They both looked at each with panic in their eyes. The girl quickly reached over the locked the door, leaving silver to stain the gold door knob. Ten was most definitely going to kill them for ruining the bathroom and probably the white towels the used impulsively.
The smell of chemicals stunk up the small space, lightly suffocating them. There was no doubt the smell hadn’t lingered out from the crack under the door and occupied the hall. A shadow appeared at the bottom of the doorway which made them jump a bit. A polite knock on the door.
“Haechan? Cosimia?” Johnny called from outside.
They both relaxed, letting out a sigh of relief. Cosimia got of the sink to unlock the door and swing it open which startled the man.
“Have a makeover?” The dark haired man chuckled.
“You scared the shit out of us, we thought you were Sicheng and Ten.” She snapped.
“Hm, probably shouldn’t snap at me like that. I am your boss and I came with something you ought to be thankful for.” He said while remaining calm but nevertheless, delivering what he said with a certain tone that was underlined vindictive. “I was going to say I finally found you two your own trailer. A nice one too, definitely bigger than this one. Though, if you’re going to act like that, maybe I should just feed you to Ten.”
“Thank you, Johnny. We’re very thankful but maybe so if you had said it was you when you entered. You also could’ve been an axe murderer for all we knew.”
He looked at her with an eyebrow raised. He practically had a foot on her and he was also more powerful than her in the terms of business. She didn’t stand down for a second as she glared at the elder waiting for him to utter anything in reason.
“Guess you’re not wrong,” He huffed. “The keys are on the counter and you can tell which on it is, it’s the nice one as I said. Probably best you get out of here before Ten shows up too.”
He walked away, leaving Cosimia to shut the door that creaked with the movement. She leaned her back against the door as she looked at the boy while taking a breath. In that moment, Donghyuck realized she was strong. He should’ve been able to noticed that sooner. He liked that, something about the trait made his heart flutter in a, yet again, unexplainable way.
“We should probably wash out the dye and get going.” She said, still leaned up against the door.
“Yeah,” He nodded, still sat on the toilet as he was knock out of his thoughts.
They rushed to wash the leftover coloring out of their hair. The water coming out purple and gray. The towels on the floor were scattered. His towel wasn’t that bad but hers, it resembled red wine, especially after the quick dry job that left it with even more stands. Her hair came out looking like a night purple which brung out there paleness in her skin. Oddly enough, the first person it reminded him of was Raven from the Teen Titans. He thought the character fit her rather well.
They gather the towels and cleaned up the floor and sink as best they could before putting them in the small laundry hamper in the closet in the hall. After that, they turned on the fan in the bathroom to get rid of the obnoxious smell that filled the place. Cosimia grabbed the keys off the counter before she took some of the bags off the couch. Donghyuck close behind her, grabbed the rest of their belongings as she hurried out the door.
It really was easy to find their trailer. It towered a little over the rest, though around the same size in length. It also looked quite a bit nicer than the others around them, a lot newer too. They didn’t understand why Johnny would’ve gotten them one so nice. They were kids and they did think they were getting a cheap one by what he said to them weeks ago. Still, they definitely weren’t complaining, just curious.
They settled in quickly, not that there was much to settle into. There wasn’t any furniture, food in the pantry or fridge with left it up for them to fill it up with what they wanted. There was microwave and coffee maker, though. There was a dusty sheet that covered the bed in back. The two pillows were fine but there was no blanket.
He walked out from the back to see Cosimia sitting on the counter, her back facing him. The sunlight barely hit her from where it slipped in through the blinds. It was the first time he’d seen her purple hair turn into a passionate red due to the light. It reminds of sparks and fire. He didn’t even think about how long he’d been staring from afar.
“What’s up?” She asked, turned around now after she realized the boy behind her who stared in complete silence.
“I’m just kinda tired...” He mumbled. “That’s all.”
It wasn’t completely a lie...
“Go take a nap then,” She chuckled. “We’ve got the rest of the day off and nothing to do with it.”
“What about you?” He questioned.
“Not to be of your concern,” She sighed. “I’ll figure out what to do with myself.”
He shrugged to himself. It wasn’t a half bad idea especially since he didn’t recall the last time he slept... He walked into the back and fell face first into the bed. The pillows were down and he could tell by the way the feathers poked out at his face and the way his head sunk into the pillow. He was still able to fall asleep in seconds of hitting them, though.
Donghyuck woke up with his head pounding and no concept of time. The banging coming from the kitchen is what really woke him up. At first, his sleepily self thought nothing of it until he remembered Cosimia. His mind immediately went to worst case scenario: Ten came to strangle them so he rushed out of bed. Though, he care out to see her just sitting in a stool, in front of her on the counter was her amethyst crystal only this time practically split into two. He also saw a hammer, chisel, some cord and small pieces of metal.
“What the hell?” He muttered as he rubbed his head to sooth the pounding.
“Sorry for waking you up.” She said rather sheepishly. “I was making something for you.”
“What?” He asked, forgetting about his headache.
It seemed like she was aware of what he had been doing though. She pulled out a bottle from her bag and opened it for a couple pills. She handed them to him along with a water bottle. She didn’t have to say anything but encouraged him to take him which he did without a word of it.
“I made you something.” She repeated.
She grabbed something he didn’t get to see before she hid it in her hand. She hopped off the stool before she made him turn around. He felt something hit his chest and could hear her tying of cord behind him too. He looked down and saw a piece of amethyst dangle in the middle of his chest. He turned back around, confused as he held the small piece in his hand.
“Do you remember what amethyst symbolizes?” She asked.
“Yeah...” He hummed, not able to really forget even the smallest details of that night.
“Good,” She smiled. “It’s so you can be protected from evil, even when I’m not around to protect you from it.”
He wanted to ask, what about her? What would protect her from evil? Who would protect her from evil? Why was it her job to protect him from it? But he knew what she would say, that’s not of his concern. She was like that. To be frank, he liked the idea of someone wanting to protect them but he also wanted to be one to protect them as well.
my first: kiss
pairing: lee donghyuck x reader, mark lee x reader
genre: fluff
prompt: Na Jaemin is throwing the yearly end of the summer party and everyone on the block who knows him will be there. High school is merely a week away and y/n is hoping she can kiss her crush of one year before she’s finally a freshman.
a/n: This is officially my first series! It’s small and a good start. If it flops that’s okay, I’m just excited to finally get this idea out of my head and into words. its of course branched from dream’s song ‘my first and last’
other parts:
my first: kiss, date, love
The first boy y/n ever kissed was the summer of her eighth grade year. It was with the out spoken, floppy haired boy from down the block from her house. She didn’t plan for it to happen, in fact she had always imagined that her first kiss wold be more romantic. That maybe there would be something like a movie; maybe the cute boy Renjun- whose mother attended the same book club as y/n’s mother at that annoying girl Sooyeon’s house- would ask her if she would like to buy ice cream while the two of them waited for the club to end. And that it would be something along the lines of a cliche, where he would walk with her around the block and lead her back to her home before her father returned from his office job, and her mother came home with not a page read from her book and the smell of wine still evident on her lips. Renjun would stand on the front step of her typical suburban home and place a delicate first kiss among her lips, and then sprint home with the taste of her peach lipgloss on his own lip.
Instead she had her first kiss with Lee Donghyuck, sometimes called Haechan. The boy with two names was never someone she had pictured sharing a kiss with. She even imagined the shy Lee Jeno from the neighborhood over before ever considering Hyuck. He was borderline obnoxious; he was outspoken and his jokes were only funny to himself and his little band of friends; he looked cute but had nothing good to say; he had a charming smile and was definitely not a kiss she grew up regretting. He lived just a few homes down, and as they grew throughout the entirety of elementary school and early middle together, they became close. Haechan began to walk with her to school and back; it became a norm, nothing special but always a 10 minutes that they enjoyed.
It occurred through an inconvenience, on one of the most important days of the year for anyone who  lived in y/n’s neighborhood. Everyone on the street, and then some, was buzzing about the yearly party that Na Jaemin threw just before school would be back in session. This year however, it was more of a big deal since everyone was finally making it into high school. Y/n wasn’t even planning to go this year since every party was the same, and she knew her crush Mark Lee wouldn't be there, he said he couldn’t come to the parties anymore until “everyone else was at least going into sophomore year because he didn’t want to go to a middle school party”. She rolled her eyes at the memory of his words from just last week when he had been hanging out with her and Hyuck at the movies.
“Y/n please will you come with me to the party,” Donghyuck’s voice broke her train of thought. She threw a pillow at him for the third time that evening.
“Hyuck, I would love nothing more than to watch you and Jeno see who can eat the most pizza in ten minutes, but don’t you think the parties are still too childish?” She scrunched her nose up in remembrance of last year when Jeno almost threw up pepperoni pizza all over Jaemin’s backyard porch.
Donghyuck stuck his tongue out at her. “Just because Mark won’t be there this year doesn’t mean you can’t come have fun with your best friends.”
Y/n smacked his arm and Donghyuck let out a small groan.
“It’s not just because Mark won’t be there. I-It’s just because-”
“Oh come on y/n, we all know how big your crush on Mark is. I’m surprised he doesn’t know, but then again he is kind of an airhead.”
A second pillow came flying from the bed and toward Hyuck once more.
“He’s not an airhead! He’s very smart... maybe a little obvious, but still cute...”
Hyuck made a pretend puking sound and rolled his eyes. “Whatever, that’s besides the point! You should come to the party anyways, life isn’t going to wait around, and you shouldn’t wait around for Mark if he thinks he’s too mature for us even though he still hangs out with us every Friday.”
She sat there and considered it for a moment before finally deciding that Hyuck was right, like he usually was.
“Fine we can go, but you better not throw up anywhere near me this year.”
Hyuck beamed at her. “As long as you’ll hold my hair for me”, he responded in a mocking tone
-
The Na family’s home was filled to the brim with every new freshman in the neighborhood, give or take a few extra kids. If the parties from prior years seemed crazy, this year was absolutely insane. High school was a looming topic of excitement from the moment these kids started middle school. The years of their lives where nothing mattered and yet everything you did would either be praised or scrutinized under the watchful gaze of their peers.The party was in full swing, the Mountain Dew being spilled all over the porch just like every year and Hyuck laid with his head in Y/n’s lap after winning the pizza contest against Lee Jeno from up the street.
“Oh woe is me and my dear, crippled stomach.”
“Hyuck you literally do this every year,” y/n responded, pushing his hair out of his eyes. “You and Jeno are going to go into a pizza coma one day.”
“As long as you wait for me on the other side while I dream about pepperoni in my coma”, Hyuck grinned.
She rolled her eyes, tossing yet another one of his flirtatious remarks over her shoulder. It wasn’t an unusual thing for them, comments like his just fell from his lips naturally all the time and neither one of them ever bat an eye at it. The two of them sat their peacefully talking about the upcoming week, the first week of their high school careers. The rest of the party was beginning to slow down a bit, now that the pizza was finished off and no one dared to tell Jeno that the low-fi music blasting through the yard speakers was not the mood they were looking for.
Mid-conversation, a voice rang out and tore through the center of what they were talking about.
“What are you kids up to? Has Donghyuck thrown up yet?”
Y/n recognized the voice instantly and shoved Hyuck off her lap, and he landed in the grass with a hollow thud. He let out a soft grown, but y/n was too preoccupied by looking around for Mark Lee, who she had definitely not planned to see tonight. If she had, she definitely wouldn’t be letting Hyuck sweat pepperoni all over her, and she would have worn the cute new blue blouse that her mother had just bought for her rather than her middle school graduation t-shirt and Hyuck’s worn down Adidas hoodie.
Mark was standing at the glass door located at the back of Jaemin’s house, there with him stood one of his new friends that he had met during his freshman year through baseball, Wong Yukhei. Yukhei was tall but not at all lanky, he had a strong build, and it was funny to see him and Mark walk down the hall together because of their fair height difference. Mark is always insisting that he hasn’t peaked yet; that he still has time to get taller. Yukhei being Mark’ sbest friend since the start of his high school career is one reason Y/n is so sure that Mark hasn’t outgrown their little group yet, because Yukhei lit up every time he came to hang out, trailing behind Mark. He found the group to be very fun, sharing the same sense of humor and some similar interests.
Mark walked into the middle of the party, throwing out hellos and high fives to everyone in greeting. Y/n was now standing up, Hyuck behind her like a lost puppy, when Mark walked past her and gave her a small smile. She felt a soft burn on her cheeks, and turned away to avoid Mark’s notice of her blush. A faux vomiting sound emitted from Huck behind her when he noticed her shy demeanor, followed by a groan after she had flicked him in the centre of his forehead.
 ---
Further into the night, the party had died down a bit and eventually made its way into the welcoming living room of the Na family home. Everyone had always thought they were so lucky to have Jaemin, first for his loyalty and caring personality, second for his large home which was perfect for hosting parties no matter the day or time, and third for the part of his personality that conveniently loved to be the host of every ordeal. The home was a beautiful, and not to forget huge, three story estate. Jaemin’s parent’s bedroom was located on the second floor but in another corner of the home meaning that they were hardly ever bothered by the amount of noise that was expected from any high school party.
Mark Lee was sitting in the middle of the couch, Yukhei to his right and Y/n on the left. It was difficult to spend any time with Mark anymore, with him being occupied with travel baseball and hanging out with his older high school buddies. Y/n was going to take the small opportunities she could get , and maybe Mark would see how much more mature she was than the rest of their friends.
“Well guys this party is starting to... bore me. I think I’m going to head out,” Mark spoke up.
Suddenly Sana from the other side of the neighborhood spoke up.
“Wait! I thought since we’ll be in high school next week... maybe we should play a high school game...”
Hyuck rolled his eyes at her. “Oh is a pizza eating contest not a mature enough game for us to play, Sana?”
Her face turned a light red as she used her elbow to jab him in the ribs. Sana was always a very shy girl. Every once in a while she would throw in a comment or suggestion but many of the groups decisions was made without her. She was passive and didn’t like to expose much of her own personality. Y/n had guessed that it was because she had one of the biggest crushes on Lee Jeno. He was a sweet boy, and has one of the most precious smiles that y/n had ever seen. He was very easy to get along with and was Jaemin's closest friend out of the whole group. Y/n almost felt bad for Sana because everyone knew the Jeno had been crazy for then same girl since the middle of seventh grade, and still has yet to ask her out, but the guys knew who it was and could only tell y/n that it was definitely not Sana but couldn’t say who it was specifically. Yet Sana knows that he doesn’t feel the same and still trails beside him at parties like a sad puppy waiting to have the tennis ball thrown for her.
“I thought that maybe we could play seven minutes in heaven.. just so we have our first kiss before high school..?”
Sana was making a risky suggestion, and there was a mixed reaction among everyone that had heard what she mumbled. Jeno’s features were calm, but everyone knew that her end goal was to end up in the closet with him and so did he.
“Sure why not? Unless you’re all too scared...” said Mark, ever the typical teenage boy anymore.
--
That was how the ten of them ended up on the floor of the living room, seated in a large circle. There was an empty Diet Coke bottle in the center of everyone that Jaemin found abandoned on on the kitchen counter. Anxiousness was settled over all the kids like a thick blanket, and y/n was sitting cross legged nervously playing with her hands. Hyuck sat next to her, seemingly calm despite the fact that he had also never kissed anyone and wasn't really planning on having his first kiss tonight behind the old wooden door of Jaemin’s family’s coat closet.
Mark clasped his hands together and said,” Okay, it’s simple. Spin the bottle and whoever it points at after the spin will be the lucky person you’ll be in the closet with. We’ll go clockwise”
Yukhei was the first person to spin, happily landing on Seulgi. The time that was wasted as they waited in the closet was awkward. It was filled with unwanted small talk and tentative glances towards the closet door that was located at the end of the hall, adjacent to the front door of the home. Everyone tried their best to have fun and not think about whether not Yuhkei and Seulgi were actually even doing anything besides talking behind the closed door. Hyuck tried to make the atmosphere more humorous by cracking terrible jokes that made most everyone groan, but specifically made y/n giggle and snort more than she would like to admit.
When they emerged, Seulgi was red in the face and hurried out. She reclaimed her seat next to Sana in a rush, before Yukhei had even shut the closet door. The grin on his face was smug, but not to obnoxious. It was clear that it wasn’t his first kiss, especially with a face like that.
As time passed there had been as least four more spins, each pair making their way to the closet. There were till only a few more people who needed to spin, and some people even had to go more than once; poor Sana had to kiss two boys and neither of them being Jeno. It was tragically y/n’s turn, and she couldn’t keep the light feeling from evading her head space.
“Okay Y/n, are you ready to spin the bottle?” Mark said, the small glance and lip bite he made in her direction going unnoticed.
She tentatively put her fingertips on the body of the bottle, the  glass cool against her skin. She closed her eyes and flicked her wrist to send the bottle spinning between the group. When she re-opened them her heart stopped beating to find that the top of the bottle had finished spinning and was now pointing directly at none other than Mark Lee. The tips of his ears were visibly red, and he sent her a small smirk.
Suddenly Y/N was behind the heavy wooden door, trying to get rid of the clammy feeling on her hands as she waited for Mark to come in. Her heart was beating right out of her chest, and she turned away from the door attempting to take her mind off of what was to come. Will she be a good kisser? Does Mark even want to kiss her? Will this make her crush on him more evident?
 Soon the heavy door opened with a subtle creak in the door frame, and she felt the slight breeze of the door fan her face. To her surprise, the panicked face in front of her belonged to not Mark, but Hyuck. She was prepared to swat as him when he he raised his arms in self defense.
“Hey hey hey! Don’t swing at me!”
“Donghyuck you better have a good explanation for this,” she said sternly.
“Y/n.... I, uh... I asked Mark if I could trade with him! I couldn’t let him be your first kiss!”
She let out a groan, “Hyuck why! You know how  I feel about Mark.”
He let at an awkward chuckle and spoke hurriedly, ”Yeah but we’re best friends! That’ll make it more special than if something goes wrong with Mark.. you  won’t regret your first kiss with me!”
y/n was quiet now as she listened to Hyuck ramble on, her  eyes fixated on the floor.
“Mark... left didn’t he? Because I’m just a freshman,” she asked her best friend. “Isn’t thtat right Hyuck? Because I’m still a child to him.”
It was now Donghyuck’s turn to look  away from her, not wanting to see the disappointment in her eyes.
“y/n,” he began, when he was suddenly cut off by the feeling of her soft, delicate lips on his. The kiss was chaste, but enough that he could taste the fruity lipgloss that she was always wasting time applying.
When she stepped back she saw how wide his eyes had grown, even in the dimly lit closet. She gave him a small smile.
“Thank you, Donghyuck,” she whispered. “Walk me home?”
Hyuck was still processing the fact that he had also just received his first kiss as y/n took him by the hand and opened the closet door. The pair walked through the  open foyer that would allow them to avoid the living room that the game had taken place and took them directly to the front door where they  collected their belongings.
The night ended just like any other night, playful bickering and a promise of walking together for the first of their freshman year.After y/n had said her good night to Hyuck he couldn’t help but allow his fingertips ghost over the spot on his arms that her hand had held onto during the walk home, warmth still blooming where her delicate fingers had been. He walked home with a goofy smile plastered on his face, content that his first kiss was shared with the first girl he’s ever loved.
