1 DAY 1 HOL (HORSE) - SEPTEMBER EDITION ♥

We've come a long way with this little challenge of mine. Three quarters into the year. And I have 3 months left to have this done.

Thank you for sticking around since Jan 1 and seeing this mediocre art being put out every day.

Also, if you're new and just found out about these Smol Horses, welcome, and thank you for being witnesses to my hyper fixation on this silly cowboy.

I'm not sure what I'm going to do with these microorganisms once this ends. Make it into a book or a bunch of stickers? Make some charms out of them? Some friends told me to print them out into a book, draw additional illustrations, and sell the book.

Anyway, for October, I might follow the Inktober prompts for the 1 Day 1 Hol challenge. I also wanted to do the Jojotober, but I can't find the prompts anywhere.

I have a What-If au I’d like to share. It won’t be great as most writers could come up with, but I think it’s a fun alternate story that might interest someone. Might.

Also, knowing me, I’m gonna sprinkle a bit of holpol in there.

The altverse is simple - what if Hol Horse saved Sherry Polnareff from being assaulted and murdered by J. Geil? 

Hol Horse was probably in France for a mercenary job or for a vacation. When he first saw J. Geil about to do the deed on Sherry, his gentlemanly instincts kicked in and he summoned Emperor (or the headcanon Stand name Rawhide, as I believe Emperor was only given to him when he worked under Dio), then used it on J. Geil. J. Geil’s face got severely injured (which eventually contributed to his ugly appearance in SDC; in Pol’s flashback, he didn’t seemed like an ugly bastard when he killed Sherry), but he managed to escape. Not before vowing to come back to hurt them both.

Hol obviously returned Sherry to Pol and Pol thanked him for his help. Hol, still worried about Sherry’s safety, decided to stay with the siblings; not knowing that Pol had a Stand of his own. Hol stayed longer than he planned...especially when he started to fall in love with Pol. And Pol most likely feel the same way too, more so that Hol was his sister’s saviour.

But, altverse or not, there should be some sort of equivalent exchange to Sherry’s supposed death.

And in this altverse, Pol died.

J. Geil eventually found where Sherry lived, and decided to attack her at her home. Coincidentally, Hol was out on errands, maybe to get something to cook dinner with, with Pol and Sherry. Pol called out his Stand and fought with J. Geil, while Sherry escaped and sought help. She met Hol halfway, and Hol immediately ran to the house, gun in hand. 

But when he arrived, all he saw was Pol’s dead body lying in a pool of blood, and J. Geil nowhere to be found.

J.Geil kept his promise. He did hurt both Hol and Sherry.

Grieved and devastated, he vowed to himself that he will protect Sherry on Pol’s behalf, and the only way to ensure her absolute safety was to murder J. Geil. And so he left her in France, promising to come back, and went on an adventure to find his lover’s murderer. 

Basically at this point, Hol took over Pol’s position in SDC (possibly one of the ways he can truly be a Crusader). He temporarily joined Dio, fought the Joestar group then eventually joined them, found J. Geil and managed to avenged Pol by killing the murderer, and saw through the end of the whole fight with Dio. Once this part of his adventure was done, he went back to France, and lived on with Sherry by his side.

That’s it. Simple What-If holpol story. It’ll be fun if I can write it properly, but I’m not that skilled...
