chapter three has me hyped so im posting theories for Hyper! Danganronpa H20
major spoilers for DR1, DR2, DRV3, and HDRH20 under the cut
• Caesar might be the SHSL Assassin / Spy / Anything similar. Or perhaps have a talent similar to that of Victoria Hester
- His birthday is veteran’s day which could hint to him having some affiliation with the Army / Navy / Air force / ETC.
- It says he enjoys eavesdropping with would be beneficial for a spy.
- He specializes in fading into the background with could also be beneficial for both a spy and an assassin
- He likes precision which would be helpful if he had a talent similar to Victoria as in he’s the captain of some branch of the army or something similar. Precision would also make sense for an assassin because he would want precision when killing a target.
This one is probably far fetched but im desperate to know what his talent is and this is all i could come up with
nesxt one
• Hunter Rosenhall could be the chapter three killer or have been helping the killer
Really the only piece of evidence I have for this one is that he was the only one who knew that Maya was going to go apologize to Four that night. The thing is, she didn’t get attacked the night she said she would apologize. She got attacked the next morning when she went to apologize again. The only reason im saying this theory is because at the time of writing this i have no clue who else the killer could be.
This next one is less of a theory and more of my predictions. Chapter 1-3 victims are already confirmed and so are the 1-2 killers so im starting with the chapter 3 killer. Really the only ones I have any real evidence for are the survivors, the ch3 killer, and the mastermind.
CH3 K - Hunter Rosenhall (might also be Tamako Fujiwara since she was already collecting blood from Chet.)
CH4 V - No clue but if Tamako turns out to be the ch3 killer im saying Hunter dies ch4 because the buff bros (Sakura, Nekomaru, Gonta) always die ch4.
CH4 M - Same as above but I think Oliver might also play a part in chapter four
CH5 V - Kouji Ito (He reminds me of Komeada. That is all.)
CH5 M - Four Kaiden (She kinda plays the same role Chiaki played as in she’s the main helper of the protag after the previous side protag either goes batshit crazy or dies and chiaki did... that. Hunter also plays this role, but I predict he’s going to die earlier so ye)
MM - Ash Sivale ( ok we’re going back to the character page. Unfortunately his birthday doesn’t hint to anything but his bday is national ice cream sandwich day so it’s not that bad. Anyways, one thing is that he specializes in manipulation. Junko seemed very manipulative of people, including her sister, the warriors of hope, and mainly the DR1 students. That’s honestly all I have.)
Survivors : Victoria Hester, Maya Canzanilla, and Caesar
With Victoria the reason I say she might be a survivor is because she already has a high kill count and most would suspect her as the killer. One thing I noticed with the DR series is that those with the most obvious talents or reasons to kill (Touko as the SHSL Murderous Fiend, Fuyuhiko as the SHSL Yakuza, and Maki as the SHSL Assassin) are usually survivors. Touko, Fuyuhiko, and Maki all survived so I’d say that Victoria will survive as well. The reason is the same for Caesar but only because of my theory of him being an assassin / spy / captain of an army branch. For Maya It’s really just because she’s the protag. I know that this isn’t a very good reason since you-know-who died in V3 but yknow.
One thing is that there’s still one character left, which is Leona, so my idea is
1 - Two masterminds (unlikely)
2 - Two people die in another chapter besides chapter 3
or 3 - There’s four survivors
Honestly I’m not sure which one it is. I think it’s most likely going to be number 3 but I would be hyped it if turns out there’s gonna be an extra death. Maybe the mastermind kills someone?
All in all i’m very excited about the rest of Hyper Danganronpa H20 and I just wanted to share my theories.

Party’s and Proclamations.
Wow...That’s...a lot more people than I thought...
*The Future Foundation arrive at Freedom Café, to find the place invaded with people. Loud music is being blasted from inside.
...
Come on Komaru, chin up.
Yeah. It won’t do anyone any good if you’re down all the time. Do it for your family at least.
I’l...I’ll try...
*Everyone heads inside.
Huh?
Oh! The guests of the hour are here!
Ah, about damn time you showed up.
*The Freedom Foundation all sit behind the counter. Oliver, Four and Maya pour out drinks and clean up plates and the like.
You three seem busy.
We’re working.
Usually, this place is a morning cafe, but it can turn into a pretty great bar at night.
Feel free to order drinks and enjoy yourselves. You guys earned it.
I would argue you guys earned it more. You should be the one’s enjoying yourselves. More than us at least.
I really appreciate that kid. But believe me, something like this is reward enough.
By the way, thanks a lot Kyoko. I heard you spoke with the police and set up a blockade to keep any paparazzi away.
For now, yes. I’m warning you though, this won’t be in place forever. Now that you’ve exposed your identities to the public, the best I can do is make sure the police protect you from any assassins or hitman that might come seeking vengeance. Paparazzi is another issue entirely.
It’s gonna suck, but I wouldn’t change it. We did what had to be done.
Still, I’m gonna miss being hated and misunderstood by society.
We’ll be lucky if the café doesn’t get torn down honestly.
N-Not that I want to jinx that.
Too late dude.
If they wanna tear this place down, they’re gonna have to tear through me first!
They’ll do that prrreetty easily Maya.
Not if I use Kuripa as a meatshield!
If you were literally anyone else, I would have punched you for saying that, but I’d happily be your protective meatshield.
Oh, and uh...
Sorry but...I guess Makoto decided not to come, huh?
...
He’s...He’s decided to go off on his own for a while. He left a note telling me he’d be back.
That...makes sense...
Don’t worry. Makoto’s a good guy. Whatever slump he’s in, he’ll get over it soon enough.
He had better. We aren’t exactly going to be battling back against Zetsubou without him.
Anyway, hopefully he’ll change his mind and join in on the celebrations later. For now, the rest of you go and have fun.
We can promise to try.
If at any point, you three feel like taking a break, I’d be happy to switch with you.
Yeah, same here. Like Akeru said, you guys deserve to celebrate too.
[A few hours later.]
*The party continues on into the night, but after a while, less and less patrons start to show up. The Future Foundation unfortunately find it hard to have any fun due to the absence of Makoto, but they still try and support the Freedom Foundation and enjoy themselves as much as they can.
He’s not usually like this...
*Kuripa stands behind the counter, filling in for Oliver and mixing drinks alongside Maya.
Makoto, you mean?
Yeah...I don’t know what’s going on with him, but ever since Mukuro Ikusaba...no, even before that. Ever since Yui Samidare died, he’s been...different.
If he was himself, he would have shown up and had a whale of a time...and...
...
...
...!
*Kuripa glances to the side, where Komaru, Toko and Akeru are sitting at a table. Komaru and Toko have glasses of wine in their hand. Akeru has a juice box.
You worried about Komaru?
*sigh* She’s dumb as a box of rocks, but she’s a good person with good morals. Boss cares about her a lot too. It sucks to see them fight like this.
You think Komaru’s in the right?
I don’t know what to think. I just...Hm?
*Kuripa pauses as he suddenly feels his phone vibrate in his pocket. He takes it out and looks at the message he was sent.
Oh...shit...speak of the devil...
Is that him?
Yeah...I gotta go. Alone by the way...
Need me to take over?
Yeah, break times over Ollie. Sorry to ditch you all like this.
S’okay. Do what you gotta.
*Kuripa leaves through the back door.
Hey, we’ve made progress at least.
I don’t like that...Makoto’s willing to talk now, but the only one he’s willing to talk to is the maniac...
Hey, Kuripa’s not a...
Well...ok, maybe he’s a BIT of a maniac.
I don’t like it either. We’re his best friends, and Kyoko’s his wife. Yet he chooses to speak to Kuripa?
It’s not completely unreasonable. These days, Makoto spends more time with Kuripa than he does any one of us. Plus, after his outburst earlier, maybe he thought Kuripa would best understand him.
...
Kyoko? Where are you going?
I’m just going to check on them. I want to see if Makoto’s ok.
That sounds like a bad idea, but I know I can’t stop you...Just watch out for yourself.
*Kyoko follows Kuripa out the back door. However, no sooner does she leave, the front door chimes open.
Ah, a latecomer. Or are you coming to pick up a friend?
Nah...I came to get a coffee. Think you could get me one?
!!?
*The Future Foundation members freeze, and lurch to their feet at the sound of the voice.
Yeesh...antsy crowd we got here today.
Huh? What’s up with you guys?
That’s Akira Tsuchiya...! The Organization Zetsubou member who was working with Feng...!
!!?
So, he decided to roll up on our doorstep, did he?
What is it that you want?
Didn’t you hear me? I’d like a coffee.
It’s crunch time and I’m pulling late hours. Give me the strongest you got.
...
Maya...
Coming right up, sir.
Heh.
*Akira walks over to Byakuya’s past the other patrons, and sits down.
I don’t believe I gave you permission to sit there.
I don’t believe that’s your call.
...
...
...Komaru...
Hm? Ah, if it ain’t lil’ Yozora!
...!
You’re Narumi’s little playmate, right? I’m Akira. I’m basically her older brother. Nice to finally meet you.
Keep your grubby hands away from her Tsuchiya...!
Akeru. Go hide in the basement.
Y-Yeah...that sounds good.
*Akeru scarpers away.
Aw, c’mon. I might not look it, but I’m great with kids.
If you’re anything like your “little sister” then don’t expect me to believe that.
First of all, rude. Second of all, fair.
*Maya, with a cup of strong coffee in her hands, puts it down hard in front of the hacker.
Enjoy...
*She then goes back behind the counter.
I half expected you to just pour the thing over him.
I’m glad she didn’t. We don’t know what he’s planning. He could have this whole building surrounded.
Remember, we’re not the only people here. We can’t risk civilian casualties.
Christ guys, I know! I’m not THAT dumb...
*Akira sips his coffee.
YOWZA! That is some...*COUGH* strong stuff...! You can tell you’re an Ultimate...Phooweee!
So, Tsuchiya. What kind of crunch time requires you to stay up this late at night, and need a coffee so strong?
Mainly dealing with the repercussions of Emilia Feng’s death. Zetsubou really took a blow after that incident, you know?
Unfortunately, it looks like the mastermind of the deed isn’t joining us tonight. Kurafto, I mean.
Actually Tsuchiya, consider yourself fortunate. If Kuripa were here, he’d kill you right where you sat.
Yeah...I guess you’re right about that. But don’t get me wrong. I didn’t come here to hurt any of you.
I just heard that Maya Canzanilla was the Ultimate Barista. And when that happened, I just had to test her skills. And you did not disappoint. This coffee is absolutely eye-opening.
...
Right...right...you’ve got nothing you need to prove to me...Why should you?
Still though, Feng’s death isn’t about to stop us. We already have the schematics for her basic weaponry, so we don’t really need her to produce them.
Tch...
Still, it does set us back a bit. It means no new weaponry will be developed.
*He glances over at Oliver.
I heard she was your mom, too. Sorry to hear of your loss.
Tsuchiya, was it? Forgive me for replying to your sympathy with an insult, but I’m really started to get tired of hearing you talk.
Ouch...that IS insulting...
What do you want? Because I warn you, we’re not afraid of you, and if this escalates into a fight-
I TOLD you...I’m here for the coffee.
*Akira sips the coffee some more.
Honestly, you should be more grateful. If I hadn’t told you about Fang Inc’s construction site, you’d have never know your gal pal Marisha was dead...
Wha-What!?
...
Byakuya, what’s he talking about?
...I didn’t admit this at the time, because we were fresh out of leads, and I was desperate to get my hands on anything...but I found out about the construction site dumping ground from Tsuchiya himself.
I didn’t trust his info, which is why I initially intended to go by myself. But it turns out, he was telling the truth.
Yeah. See? I’m not TOTALLY your enemy.
Enough.
Eh?
Don’t come to the conclusion that we’re allies, or that I owe you, just because you helped me out once.
The one and only reason I don’t pounce on you and beat you to a bloody paste is because...I know who you REALLY are...
...Ah...So you did some research?
Who he really is?
It’s true that there’s a limit to what we knew about Tsuchiya before now. All we knew is that he was Zetsubou’s tech expert, and Sumiko Kamiya’s grandson.
Then...who is he really?
*Hina looks towards Byakuya.
Turns out...no one important...Someone who should be dead...But that’s all.
Huh?
...I know who he is...but I don’t know what he wants...
Then I’ll tell you what I want...
*Akira leans in, holding his coffee.
I want to watch you die...
...
Huh!?
You want to kill Byakuya specifically? Why?
...Hm...Revenge, I guess? I don’t know if there’s a better word for it...Maybe spite is more accurate.
*He stands up and looms over Byakuya opposite him.
You lost your whole family...and all your titles...You are no longer heir to the Togami throne, nor Branch Chief, nor Acting Chairman.
Yes despite all that, you still look down on others comfortably. Must feel nice, right?
...
*Byakuya also stands up, his and Akira’s eyes meeting.
You leave me little room to argue. I’m always going to be the first to admit that I’m far from a saint.
There are millions of billions of people in the world who look and act exactly like you and I...but there lives are a lot harder. Most of my life, I never gave such people a second thought...They were all dead to me...
That said...In the very least, I didn’t go out of my way to make their already difficult lives more difficult, just like you have.
Isn’t it the Future Foundation’s job to help people?
It’s the Future Foundation’s job to help people by removing the likes of you from the world.
...
I don’t care what kind of connection we have really. And I don’t care if you helped me out. You’ll hear no thanks from me.
Finish your coffee, and get lost.
*Byakuya sits back down, crosses his arms, and lowers his head.
I quite agree. We’ve entertained this charlatan long enough.
Come on now...charlatan? That’s it? Aren’t you the least bit curious who or what I am?
All that matters is your name is Akira Tsuchiya...You’re a monster...a deviant...a scoundrel and a murderer. That’s all that matters.
...That’s not my name, princess...
...?
Tell ‘em Togami~
No. Just go away.
...
Aight, fine. Another time, maybe.
*Akira brings his coffee to the counter.
Grazie, era delizioso.
...
...Ngh...
*Akira opens the door, and is about to leave, when suddenly, Hina gets to her feet.
I can’t accept this! You can’t just stride in here, say all this cryptic stuff and leave! Who the hell do you think you are!?
Hina-!
...
*Akira turns around, a malicious grin on his face.
You asked the right questions, Ms Asahina. Allow me to answer.
I am the grandson of Sumiko Kamiya...the son of Emiko Kamiya...
And the son...of Kijo Togami...!
T-
Togami...!?
...
Who...Who is Kijo Togami...!?
He’s the last official known head of the Togami Corporation...
and...is Byakuya’s father...!
That’s correct.
Wh-Which means...!?
Yep...that’s right...
*Akira points towards Byakuya.
Byakuya Togami and I...
...are half brothers, by blood.

When you love somebody...
[Flashback]
Here. Gotcha one.
...
*Hunter hands Hina an energy drink.
If you think this is gonna make me talk...
Don’t make it sound like an interrogation.
But I assume THIS will if that doesn’t.
...!?
*Hunter suddenly pulls a sugary donut out from his pocket. He hands it to Hina, who snatches it.
...Thanks.
Heh...
*She starts to chew on the donut.
So...how’d you find me?
You might not know this, but I’m actually pretty famous. I have been for a fair while now.
It honestly sucks...Back in the day, I got hounded by paparazzi left and right. The only reason people don’t do it as much any more is because they think Hunter Rosenhall is dead, and that I’m just a double act or something.
Kuripa told me that you were an Olympic level swimmer at one point. Surely you know the feeling?
Too well. It’s annoying when you’re trying to swim...
Because they’re taking pictures of you when you’re exposed? Yeah, I’ve been there.
E-Exposed isn’t right, I-I don’t swim naked or anything!
You know what I meant...!
*Hunter and Hina sit on a bench in silence for a short while. Hunter downs his drink while Hina finishes off her donut.
...
Can I ask a weird and kinda insensitive question?
...What?
What happened during the Killing Game? Yours I mean...
I know Makoto went over it for us all, but that was just from his perspective. I think he was beating around the bush a little because the idea of demonizing his friends and classmates didn’t sit right with him.
Hell, Maya and Four were doing the same thing most of the time, and they’re both blunt as a hammer most of the time.
...
I don’t really want to talk about it...but...
Hina: I never killed anyone, and...I never died either, but...I did things that I’m not proud of...I almost got everyone killed...and all because I misunderstood my best friend.
They all forgave me in the end...Often times I wonder if they should have...
They sound like great friends.
Yeah...but I failed them again, even after all that...Hiro’s gone as a result...
...They don’t need me...
I think they do. In fact I think the reason they forgave you back then is because...they’ve always needed you.
What do you mean?
Come on, you’re the coolest one of the group. They need that emotional support.
...I don’t know...
*sigh*
It doesn’t feel good, does it? Looking around, seeing everyone depressed and angry, and sad...Hopeless...Like the sky is gonna collapse on you...You regret not having done more, or done things differently...
How...How did you know?
I’ve been there man...At the end of the Freedom Academy Killing Game, when Feng told us we were all gonna die? I don’t think I’ve ever seen everyone look so defeated...
They all had such...blank expressions...devoid of any kinda emotion. They genuinely believed that the world didn’t care about us or who we were...
[Flashback 2]
Hunter: Maya was always so...loud and energetic, even back then, but in that moment, she was silent...
Hunter: Four had a thousand mile stare...Not looking at anything, just...staring...
Hunter: Even Leona was silent. She in particular had gone through so much she didn’t deserve. She’d become so strong, and so brave over the time we’d spent together, but even she was silent then...
Hunter: Oliver was just as upset...Of course, I would be too if my mother told me anything close to what THEIR mother did...
Hunter: And...even now, I still feel a pain in my chest when I remember how Kouji looked. I was so used to that cute dopey expression...It was so hard to see him so upset...
Sound familiar?
Yeah...You hit it right on the head. I felt the exact same way when I thought that we had been fighting for nothing.
If there’s one thing Junko Enoshima does well, it’s making you feel the worst things in the world. Emilia Feng does the same.
In fact, I’m feeling that Despair right now...I really did think I’d moved past this, but...ever since the Fugitive incident, I feel like...like I’m stuck in quicksand, and I’m clinging to everyone else to save myself, but it’s just dragging them in with me.
Yeah...but...even so...Seeing my friends like that...Feeling that Despair...Knowing that there would be nobody to save us...nobody to care about us...
Back then, I wasn’t about to let them feel that way...
What...happened?
...I convinced ‘em...That Emilia was wrong when she said no one cared about us.
Because we still cared about each other.
[Flashback 2]
Don’t you get it? It’s all hopeless...Everything we fought for; all of our friends who died...None of it matters...None of it...There’s nobody to care about us
That’s wrong! Kokona cared about you! Right!?
What? But...she’s dead...
So what!? Her memory isn’t! She cared about you so much, and you can’t let that love die! Do you wanna give up on her like that!?
Her...memory...? After she died...I kept going because I wanted to make her proud...How could I forget that...?
I...have to keep fighting!
I can’t just let myself die here! I can’t give up on her!
What are you guys talking about...? We did all our investigating; we tried everything we could. After all this time the truth doesn’t even matter...we were doomed this entire time...
Four...Come on man...!
Did my sister feel this same hopelessness? Did she die in the same way? I guess it doesn’t matter anymore...the truth doesn’t matter...because we’re going to die either way...
Dammit Four! You can’t give up on the truth!
Do you think we can seriously change the fact that we’re going to die? We’re going to be just like all the other people the Fang killed for her own ends...
No! The truth is always worth it!
That’s what we’ve been fighting for this entire time!
We have this chance, and it’s higher than none! We can still do this! You can’t give up! You’ve been fighting since the beginning!
The truth...what I’ve been looking for since we got here...
...I suppose this is what I’ve been working towards my entire life...
All the more reason you can’t give up on it bro!
Right...After all that hard work and effort...I guess it’s a bit difficult just to give up like that...
I don’t know about this “last chance” of yours Hunter, but if you think it’s enough to fight for...then I’ll do it. I’ll hold onto that possibility until my last breath leaves my body.
Welcome back Four...
Now...what about YOU?
Me? Why? I was never your friend...And it appears I was nothing to my own mother as well...she doesn’t care about me...I was just...a pawn...a piece of apparatus in this game...None of it ever mattered...I was nothing more than a pig, being prepared for the slaughter. Nobody ever cared about me...
Oliver...you’re wrong...
What?
You say nobody ever cared about you, but we’re all still right here! You wanna know something?
I forgive you! Even if you’re the “Mastermind” or...whatever the fuck that means you’re still our friend! I am NOT gonna give up on you!
You all...cared about me...?
Even after...all this?
Hell yeah dude! We’ve always been pals! Even now!
Pals...I’ve...I’ve never had “pals” before...I was raised for the sole purpose of being in this game...
If...you guys really still accept me...even after all of this...then maybe there really are people out there that care about me? My mother may have given up on me, but I’m still my own human! I’m not something that she owns! I don’t have to do what she says!
Fuck yeah! Teenage rebellion!
...
...
*Hunter steps out from behind his podium and approaches Kouji. He takes his hand, as Kouji rests his face in Hunter’s chest.
My family...I don’t even know where they are...These people have total control over us...They’ll never let us go...What’s the point? Why even bother? There’s nobody to save us now...
Kouji...that’s not true...
I won’t let anything happen to you...not if I can help it...
*He kisses him gently on the head.
I love you man. As long as I’m here, I won’t let you give up.
Hunter...
Heh...I must be pretty dumb, huh?
This whole time, I’ve been the one talking about never giving up. With you around, I never felt like I was in any danger...I guess I forgot about that...
You...make me feel safe...
But don’t think you can say you’ll just keep me safe like it’s nothing! I’m gonna protect you too!
I know that we’ve got each other’s backs! I can’t ever forget that!
Are you guys seriously having a romantic anime scene in the middle of this...!? Are you all crazy or something...!?
Maya...
She’s made it pretty clear what’s gonna happen to us...They’re gonna kill us. We don’t have any Hope left...Do you seriously think we have any chance? Do you seriously think we can do anything?
There’s nothing! Nothing at all! This world doesn’t care about us! NOBODY cares about us!
Who the fuck cares!?
!!??
Maya...it may be true that the world at large doesn’t care about us...If you take NHC’s power into consideration, they pretty much control the world...
But even if the world doesn’t care about us, it doesn’t matter! Because we care about each other! Let your promise with Caesar be proof of that!
...!?
I...I did make a promise...
I promised that I wouldn’t give up!
All of you...All of you are my friends...! The world may have it out for us...but I’ve got all of you on my side!
So who gives a damn about what the world thinks!? I’m Maya-Goddamn-Canzanilla! When I see a wall, I tear it down!
Welcome back...
Right after that is when Oliver pulled out their trump card. You know the rest of the story.
Hunter...I had...no idea...
Yep, gets tough sometimes. You get major back pains when you spend so long carrying this team.
Hehehe...You’re just like Makoto, you know that?
Still...it can’t be easy...Being that pillar of support that keeps the rest of them going...
I knew Maya had some esteem issues about her mission, but...now I see you’re the reason she kept going...
Hina, you gotta understand something...It’s...sweet and honorable that you didn’t wanna drag your friends into the quicksand...
But if they’re your friends...and I mean they’re REALLY your friends...Then you gotta understand that they’ll happily dive right into the sand with you.
That’s how Hiro saw it when he sacrificed himself...And that’s how I saw it when I did all that shit...
You saved everyone’s lives...
...And I’d do it again...and again...even if I spent an eternity suffering, watching the people I love die...
The Killing Game that Emilia put us through was the worst thing that ever happened to me in my whole life, but I wouldn’t change a damn thing about it...
Why not?
Because the Freedom Foundation are the people I love most in the universe...and because I love them...I’m willing to do anything for them. Because that’s what you’ve gotta do.
...Even if it hurts you? Or hurts them?
Pfft...ESPECIALLY then. And I think you know that well...
You loved...what was her name...Sakura, so much...that you were willing to get every other person killed to avenge her.
But that’s not what she wanted.
Yeah, it wasn’t...but even if that’s the case, you still tried to do it. That’s proof right there...that you’re a good friend. The best in fact.
And uh...between you and me...you’re definitely my favorite of your group.
Hehehe...
You’re good at this Hunter...
So I’m told...
Listen Hina. I didn’t come here to convince you to rejoin the Future Foundation. If you don’t think you’re cut out for it, or you don’t want to shoulder that responsibility, then I’m not gonna be the one who forces it upon you.
All I’m saying is that you should come back and talk to Kyoko about how you feel. Not as a Future Foundation branch chief, but as her best friend. I don’t think I ever saw that icy shell of hers crack until you left...I didn’t like what I saw, so that’s why...
I...
Don’t start blaming yourself. You can make this right. Just come back, and tell Kyoko how you feel, WITHOUT storming off before giving her a chance to speak.
*Hunter holds out a hand.
Now...we’ve got work to do...
...
*Hina takes his hand.
[Present day, Freedom Academy]
UGH! Even with backup, this is still infuriating!
We can’t see the enemies, but if we apply enough force, it breaks the camouflage! But the truck alone isn’t enough!
In that case, it’s time for Plan P!
Plan P!? Why P!?
HUNTER!
Oh! Is it time!?
Let’s do this!
What are you guys doing?
*Hina doesn’t answer. She and Hunter reach behind their backs and pull out the same object.
Are those...Super Soakers?
You’re gonna attack them with toy water guns!?
Heehee! We sure are! But it’s not water in these guns...
You ready!?
Always!
HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!
*SPLASH!* *SPLASH!* *SQUIRT!*
Soldier: Wah-!?
!!?
*Hina and Hunter start shooting the water guns in every direction they can. But what comes out of the nossel isn’t water. Instead, ink squirts out of the cannon, and douses the invisible soldiers, making them visible.
Worked like a charm!
Now let’s get ‘em!
*Hunter and Hina pose, and then continue to douse as many enemies as they can in the ink.

I wonder how’s the freedom foundation is doing?
We're sitting here and doing the absolutely typical thing that we would do in moments of peace.
Arguing over who can spell "diarrhea" correctly.
Maya and Leona are immediately disqualified since English isn't their first language.
English IS my first language! Just because my family is Latino, doesn't mean I was raised in Spain! I live and learn HERE ya fucking fool!
Yeah, you racist! How's my English any worse than yours!?
Look, look, to be fair...diarrhea's really hard to spell...
It's a BITCH to spell.
True...

FreFo/FuFo Heist Planning: Volume #5.
Marisha: I can’t let it happen…and without her…it doesn’t… …Maya…I’m about to do something awful…
*The sound can be heard of a machine gun being loaded.
Marisha: Or at least, people will say it’s awful. If they knew what we did, maybe they’d think better of me!
Marisha: They wouldn’t think of us as monsters or terrorists! …But I need to stop THIS terrorist, no matter the cost! So if you’re listening to this message…then you know what happened to me…
Marisha: I’m…I’m SORRYYY!
???: There she is!
Marisha: HAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGH!
*The recording cuts out with the sound of screaming and rapid gunfire…
...Marisha...
*The Freedom Foundation finish listening to the recording. Once they do, Maya slams her face on the table.
D...DAMMIIIIIITT!!
...
...
What the hell...?
I must reward this Marisha person on their cleverness. Their method of getting this message to you was ingenious.
What do you mean?
I’ve had time to think on it, but it seems that this USB doesn’t just work as a hard drive.
Based on the way it’s shaped...it also functions as a bullet.
What!?
If you want my hypothesis, Marisha was almost killed by the Fang Inc. soldiers. But before they could get to her, she recorded this and put it in the hard drive. She then hid the drive in the bullet, and shot herself in the head so that the soldiers wouldn’t immediately find the recording.
But wait, you’re not answering the most important question. Who IS Marisha!?
*Byakuya turns to the Freedom Foundation.
Considering she seemed to know Maya, I would guess that she’s a friend of the Freedom Foundation’s.
I suggest asking them...but I also suggest maybe giving them some time to recover.
...No need. We promised no more secrets, right?
*Four, depressed and rubbing Maya’s back to console her as she cries into her arms, turns towards the Future Foundation.
Marisha Filliet is her full name. Remember how Maya said we had a contact inside Fang Inc?
Yeah...that was her...
Filliet...If I remember correctly, that’s...?
Yeah...One of the victims of the Killing Game we were in was Maria Filliet...Marisha is her half-sister.
She was one of the few people who we told the truth about what happened in the Killing Game. She was mortified, and wanted to help us, but Maya didn’t want to get her too involved.
Marisha was insistent though, so we gave her a job. We asked her to get hired into Fang Inc. and leak information about their plans to us. Whatever she could get her hands on.
...I shouldn’t have done that...I should’ve just said no...
Maya...This isn’t your fault dammit...
But it is! I should’ve just put my foot down! I should never have gotten her involved! And now she’s dead, and it’s on me!
For fucks sake, it’s not like YOU shot her!
Kuripa, hey! J-Just calm down!
I CAN’T JUST CALM DOWN!
Didn’t you hear what Filiet said!? Not only is she now dead, but Emilia Feng was baiting us the entire time! The Kerokuma’s could drop down and kill all of us at ANY MOMENT!
Emilia’s just waiting for that government confrontation, and then with the push of a button, BAM! She’s queen of the whole country!
Well, then we’d better hurry up and destroy them! Isn’t that what we planned to do anyway?
We need the schematics for the building to even get close to the project database, and even if we had that, it’s hopeless anyway...
Why!?
Komaru, didn’t you hear what Marisha said? “Even if the Kerokuma’s themselves are destroyed, she has a program that will automatically re-engineer the AI and produce thousands more at the drop of a hat.”
It might take a few months at least, but no matter what we do, Emilia will get the project back on it’s webbed feet...
It’s over...There’s nothing we can do...It’s all over...
You’re just gonna give up!? After all this, you’re just gonna turn around and stop fighting!?
What’s the point of fighting!? Even if we destroy the Kerokuma’s my mother will just build them again and again, faster than we can destroy them! We can’t just lose any more lives!
...I can’t take it anymore...I just can’t...
Marisha died...Hiro got kidnapped...I don’t want anyone to get hurt anymore.
No...No I agree with Komaru...
We can’t give up! We’ve come way too far to give up!
Hunter...
This is the exact same rut we all got stuck in at the end of the Killing Game! We all were willing to give up on hope, just because Emilia told us we were gonna die! But we stuck it to that bitch! What’s stopping us from doing it again, huh!?
Even now, we’ve got the impression that it’s all hopeless! Well even if you guys back down, I won’t!
Hunter, I love you...but you can’t do this by yourself...!
Then help me, god dammit! Don’t go giving up on me just because of one little hurdle!
Hunter’s right. You can’t give up on hope.
Oh, here we go...
What?
*Makoto steps forward.
Lately, times have been harsh. We’ve gained enemies and lost allies...we have seen uncertainty and Despair rise.
Yet, amid said Despair, we have survived. And YOU have survived just as we have against Fang Inc. all this time, by yourselves no less.
Remember, some challenges are more significant than you; you need your team. Let them lift you. We need to outthink, outwork and outcare for each other.
So don’t start blaming yourselves, don’t put pressure on yourselves, and most importantly...Don’t. Start. Giving. Up.
Our direction may seem messy and confusing, and may seem like we can’t get anywhere, but I KNOW we can. We aren’t gonna give up Hope, not now, not ever.
...
*Maya stands up and wipes her eyes and nose with her sleeve.
...Did you practice this or something...?
No ma’am. That’s a Naegi special. Not sure if I ever told you this, but I like to think I’m quite good at motivational speeches.
I agree with that...But even so...believing in ourselves doesn’t present a conclusion.
We still have no way of destroying the Kerokuma Initiative. And hope and belief won’t give us one.
Then why don’t I give you one?
Huh?
Boss...you have a plan?
Something like that...I think we’re thinking about this the wrong way.
We’re focusing on the idea of destroying the Kerokuma Initiative robots, but the algorithm Emilia put in place will mean that she’ll always have a way of revitalizing the project...
If that’s the case...then instead of destroying the Kerokuma’s, why don’t we FIX them instead?
“Fix” them?
Yeah! Oliver, you’ve already wrote programs and hacked into databases before. Is there any chance you can retro-engineer a more suitable algorithm to replace the one the robots currently have?
I...didn’t think of that...but it might be possible...
Hey, why don’t I do you one better? Instead of making an algorithm, why don’t we make some kind of virus the break the current one? Then the robots will be totally inactive!
That might be more difficult...but again...Not impossible.
What...!? Why the hell didn’t you mention that earlier Ollie!?
I don’t know, it just didn’t come to mind. I thought wiping the current data would be more than enough, so I didn’t think the effort was needed.
But if it’s come down to this, I might be able to do it!
See? There’s always a way!
Heh. You underestimate Boss’s tenacity. “Give Up” isn’t in his dictionary.
That’s a bit of an overexaggerating, but thank you.
I...I don’t know...I still feel like there’s a few issues.
How so?
Well, first of all, Oliver will need time to make the virus, right? And given that Emilia plans on launching the Kerokuma’s when the Government confront her, that means we’re on a time budget, right?
Byakuya. Toko. Do you guys know when it is that the Government plans to confront Feng?
No...But if I had to guess, I’d say we have a minimum of 2 days...
I can make a virus in roughly 24 hours, give or take. Faster if I really try.
But that’s still a whole day wasted. We’d only have a day to do everything.
And that’s not the only issue, in order to erase the data, we’d still have to break into the building OZ are using as a base and get to the Kerokuma algorithm in order to download the virus.
But with the attack at the docks, we weren’t able to get the building schematics...
Says who?
Huh?
*Kyoko reaches into her pocket and pulls out a USB.
You didn’t honestly think that I was going to forget the whole reason we went there, right?
You got it!?
I downloaded the data after the soldiers took Hiro away. That meant nobody would stop me.
It’s not good to use my friends kidnapping as a card, but...well, I won’t justify myself.
Anything else Kouji?
I’ve got one...What the hell does this all accomplish?
Huh?
Let’s say that we do permanently shut down the Kerokuma project, and Emilia is left having to start completely from scratch.
It’ll take a while, sure, but you know what she’ll end up doing to those Government guys if she can’t take them out with the robots? She’ll just pay them off, go about her business, and start all over again.
Maya’s right. Like Marisha said in the recording, the Kerokuma Initiative will stay alive so long as Emilia Feng is in power. It’ll take years, but Emilia will more than happily get the project back on it’s feet. She won’t allow anyone to jeopardize it for her.
That’s a good point. There’s no point taking Emilia out. All she’ll do is pay off the Government, investigators and news reporters, then go crying to public to make herself look like the victim.
That’s how she’s always done it, and the shitty part is that it always works.
It’s what she does. She scares the shit out of people, then swoops in and plays the hero.
However...if you think about it, that also means that she’s leaving her biggest weakness wide open to us.
Huh?
What do you mean?
I mean...her public image...
Emilia is obsessed with how the public views her, and with all the illicit things she does behind their back, it makes sense.
If we shatter that, and show the world for what she well and truly is, she and her entire empire falls apart.
Easier said than done. We’ve tried doing that in the past, but she’s always found a way to cover it up.
But...do you remember how this whole fiasco started?
Huh?
This incident, and our collaboration with the Future Foundation started for one key reason...We found evidence of Fang Inc’s. union with Organization Zetsubou.
No matter how you look at it, teaming up with world famous terrorists isn’t something that you can just cover up.
Yeah, but at the same time, all we’ve got proving it is a few documents. That alone doesn’t prove the crime.
It’s more like the documentation you provide in court to emphasize your point, not solve your case.
Hm...yes...we’ll certainly need to find something more concrete.
*BZZZT!* *BZZZT!*
Huh?
*Makoto’s phone suddenly starts to ring. It’s an unknown number. Kuripa leans over his shoulder to look.
...That doesn’t look safe.
But it might be important. I should answer.
*He answers.
Hello?
???: Makoto. It’s me.
Who is this?
Whitecloak: It’s Whitecloak. Could you put me on speaker?
Sure...
*Makoto puts his phone in the center of the table.
Whitecloak: I assume everyone’s listening in now, so I’ll keep this brief. I may have found something that would suit your interests.
We’re listening?
Whitecloak: I can’t go into too much detail, but I found a news story that Fang Inc. covered up. It’s about an infamous, underground reporter, who went missing a short while ago.
Went missing you say?
Whitecloak: Yes. However, what piqued my interest is that said reporter was planning a...scandalous...episode of her podcast before she vanished. I don’t know enough details about it, but I would request some help to investigate. I believe she may be referring to the company’s collaboration with Zetsubou.
Really!?
No, fuck that! There’s no way that something this convenient can just be dropped on us!
Whitecloak: Hmhmhm...That’s Makoto Naegi’s luck for you. I can’t promise anything key, but you know what this means should it turn out to be what I expect, right?
You grow more useful by the second...
Hehe...
If her info is legitimate, Feng would spin whatever was spinnable. If she went after her for it, then whatever’s she discovered is a smoking gun.
Which means we need to chance it!
Right...At this point, it’s all or nothing.
Thanks Whitecloak. We’ll get back to you.
Whitecloak: I’ll DM you the location I’d like to meet you. Until then...
*She hangs up.
Could...this actually work...?
...
*Makoto sticks out his hand.
We’ll MAKE it work.
...
Yeah...!
*Maya and Makoto have a tough handshake.

Abandon All Hope: Part 2.
[Flashback]
[Freedom Academy, 6 years ago, Final Class Trial]
I’m the Mastermind, in the sense that the Mastermind is my appointed position in this game.
My mother, Emilia Feng, and the other NHC executives, are the one’s who set up the Killing Game. I served as their proxy.
So...what does that mean to us...?
It means...you’re a captive, just like us.
What? No! I’m the Mastermind!
Emilia: Of course. Keep telling yourself that. You always were a disappointment.
That voice...Mother!?
*The voice coming from Kerokuma isn’t the usual one. It’s more mature and feminine, signifying Emilia taking control.
Wh-What’s going on!? What are you talking about!? Mom!?
Emilia: Don’t you understand? You aren’t special. You’re just another useless child. You weren’t actually meant to run this game. You’re just another product made by Fang Inc. and New Hope Corporation.
Please...you wouldn’t...betray me...
Oliver!
I wouldn’t be so sure of that. We’ve already seen NHC’s willingness to betray their own allies.
Ash was told that he would get a special role as the traitor. That if he killed someone, his execution would be fake...
That was a lie. The corporation never intended to let him live.
I doubt they’ll let any of us live...
But...she said I would survive...
Emilia: That was a lie. Even if one of you got away with murder, or only two remained, nobody would survive. Fang Inc. doesn’t leave loose ends. Like you said Oliver, we are invincible.
So...it’s hopeless...?
We were set up...just for failure...?
Even this trial...it’s all a lie, isn’t it?
Emilia: That’s right. You’re all going to die here.
But...mother...
Emilia: I’m not your mother. I made you for a purpose. Motherhood was not that purpose. You exist to be in this game, and you failed miserably. I never should have had you.
...
I never quite knew the meaning of betrayal before that moment.
How...How dare she...!
She raised you specifically so you could be a subject in HER psychotic game, and the moment you start acting up, she tells you you’re a failed experiment!?
You didn’t even do anything wrong!
Hehehe...
Wh-What?
Nothing. It just...makes me happy that you’re feeling sorry for me. Not a lot of people would do that.
Not a lot of people outside these guys I mean.
I’m confused about one thing. What’s all of this saying that you were gonna die?
Pretty self-explanatory I think. By the time the Killing Game ended, Emilia was planning to have the rest of us all killed anyway.
Why!?
Why else? To cover her tracks.
Think about it Makoto. Emilia’s Killing Game was different than Junko’s. Enoshima was a loose cannon who didn’t care if she was hated. In fact, she rather got off to everyone’s detest for her.
Emilia Feng is far too concerned with her public image and reputation. In order to make sure that was retained, she had to make sure the events in Freedom Academy were as hidden from the public as possible. Therefore, she planned to have the students go “missing” after their induction.
She couldn’t afford to let them live.
Emilia tried to give it to us straight after that. I believe we brought up before how much of a societal elitist she is?
“No one in this world cares about you.” she said. “There are billions of humans in this world. You are all just specks. Nobody will miss you when you disappear. I’ll make sure of it.”
...She’s a monster...
But then...how did you guys survive?
Thanks to Oliver mainly.
Come on, I definitely can’t take all the credit there. I wouldn’t have had a prime opportunity if it weren’t for Maya.
As flattered as I am, you know that’s not true.
Ok, why don’t you guys explain what happened, then we’ll be the judge.
Alright.
Hey, Miss Feng! You’d better not be telling yourself that we’re just gonna give up!
Emilia: What in God’s name are you talking about!? Aren’t you all done with this pointless drabble? Have you accepted your fates?
Hell no! We haven’t accepted squat!
Emilia: Seriously? Isn’t it clear that nobody cares about you?
That’s wrong! We had friends who died along the way...I know they cared about us...
Everyone who died...We carry them with us!
Marie, who had nothing but love in her heart...
August, who wanted the best for everyone else...
Kami...she just wanted a world with true justice. One without corruption.
Even with his weird way of talking, Ricardio was a real smart guy! He loved the world he lived in, and all the people in it!
Kokona...I cared about her so much...She felt trapped by this world, and just wanted to be free...
Chet never did anything to hurt anyone. All he ever wanted was to treat the people around him with kindness.
And Tamako...I don’t really understand her, but in her last moments, she called us her friends...She’s human, just like all of us.
Caesar and Victoria...They both went through so much...I hope that wherever they are now, they forgave each other...!
And Ash...He may have been on your side, but in his last moments, he helped us!
He cared about us...
If ASH can care about us, then...well, that’s just one person, but there were 16 of us! We’re all humans; we bleed the same blood! You may say that in a population made of billions of people, no individual life matters, but that’s not true!
Every human life is precious! Every human life is something worth protecting!
Even if the world doesn’t care about us, hell, even if the world is actively trying to STOP us...
We care about each other, and that’s all that matters! You can NEVER destroy something like that!
Emilia: So what? That’s it? That proves nothing! That’s not enough to convince me to spare you!
Hehe...I had a feeling that wouldn’t be enough. But I think I know someone who might be able to help us.
Oliver~ You were planning something, weren’t you?
Huh?
Emilia: ...Huh?
Oh come on, I’m not THAT dumb!
Think about it! You brought us to the Secret Area which activated the Victory C scenario, and then went totally missing! I doubt you were trying to kill us all, so I bet you were planning something!
So what were you doing while we were investigating?
...
I...was sending myself an email...
What do you mean?
Er...I have this...
*Oliver reaches into their pocket and pulls something out.
A cell phone!?
One of the reasons I unlocked the Secret Area was so that I could get to the monitor room...
I got all the footage from the Killing Game, as well as a bunch of emails and documents kept by NHC, and emailed it to this cell phone.
So...you have dirt...on Fang Inc!?
Thats right. Probably enough to take down the entire corporation.
But...wh-why!? Why didn’t you tell us earlier!?
Because...
*BING!*
It just finished sending.
Emilia: Oliver, what are you doing!?
Heh! I’m having a teenage rebellion, mother~
You seriously didn’t think I could tell that you were planning on killing me!? I’m not an idiot!
I don’t intend to die here! I intend to survive, WITH my friends!
I left everyone that note, then snuck into the secret area. The fact that you guys didn’t install any cameras there is a pretty major design flaw, don’t you know?
After putting everything into a folder and sending it to this phone, all I had to do was wait for it to finish uploading.
So, here’s my proposal...
Let all of us out, or I’ll send this email to every major AND minor news outlet in the world.
Heh. You raised a pretty good Mastermind, right?
Emilia: Do you seriously think that will work? We can just pay off anyone who tries to publish it.
Not so fast! The email also includes payments of millions of dollars, to make sure it get’s published no matter what.
NHC is technically my company. The money they accumulate is basically my allowance.
I can take down the entire corporation with the press of a button.
...
...?
Emilia: ...Fine. I guess you really are your mother’s child. I’ll prepare an elevator to the surface. No tricks.
It better not be. If I see anything even SLIGHTLY suspicious, I’ll press the button so fast, you won’t be able to see it.
That’s basically how it all ended.
That...woah...
That was...surprisingly underwhelming. No explosions, no final execution...Nothing?
Fang Inc. is a business. The only way out of tough situations is negotiation.
That was more like threatening and blackmail than negotiation.
Considering Oliver was also a victim in all of this, we forgave him pretty quickly. Four’s not the only one I let live under my roof for a while.
There’s one big thing that I’m confused about. And it REALLY doesn’t make any sense to me.
If you had that email with the money and the blackmail on it...Why don’t you use THAT to take down the corporation? Do you not have it any more?
No, I don’t. And even if I did, it wouldn’t come in handy.
Why not?
Emilia’s had enough time to find a way to counteract my threat. She’s gained more wealth and more power since the Killing Game happened, so my threat against her can easily be covered up.
Also, I was obviously cut off from money after I left Fang Inc. I embezzled the money from NHC and ran with it. Said money was used to get whatever tech is in this basement, aside from the Fang Inc. stuff, which is mostly stolen.
Besides, I didn’t initially have a reason to use my “weapon.” After the Killing Game ended, Emilia and I discussed arrangements and cut ties with each other. She left us alone, and we left her alone.
But that email and the blackmail is the primary reason why we can’t get arrested by Fang Inc. at least not easily. Because I still have the photos, even if I don’t have the money. Taking us to court would result in those photos, and her killing game being exposed.
There is another reason though, even if the photos are produced publicly, why society won’t act on it.
Which is?
Emilia, sneaky bitch that she is, hired the daughter of a high-ranking and important Government member into her company, and made her part of her inner circle.
If the government acts on Emilia’s actions if she’s exposed...She WILL kill her.
Ngh...!
You should’ve sent that email when you had the chance...
I know...The fact that things have spiraled out of control so badly is my fault entirely. I don’t have any excuse...
I think you do. And I understand.
Huh?
It doesn’t matter if she’s a horrible person, or if she’s mentally insane. It doesn’t matter if she’s responsible for the deaths and fates of countless people. None of it matters.
She’s still your mum. Even if she only did so for an experiment, and never truly loved you, she still raised you. Taking revenge on her wouldn’t be an easy thing to do, especially not after all that.
...
But let me guess. You made a deal with Emilia to keep off each other’s backs, and she broke it. That’s why you founded the Freedom Foundation?
Not exactly. We technically broke the deal first.
Even though we agreed to go our separate ways and never talk of the situation again, Oliver still kept monitoring Emilia. Over time, her schemes, goals and greed got worse, and he told us about it.
Ugh...that when MAYA decided to intervene. She committed an arson crime on one of the company’s smaller buildings, hoping to bring the company down. Of course, it was stupid and didn’t work.
Originally, I was planning on doing it by myself. I didn’t want the others to get involved, but...For the sake of everyone’s future, I wasn’t gonna let Emilia get away with what she wanted. But I wasn’t smart, nor resourceful enough to do it by myself.
Why are you doing this Maya?
You know it’s dangerous, and you knew you couldn’t do it alone, but you still tried. And you’re STILL trying.
What motivates you? Surely it’s not revenge?
...No. It’s because I made a promise...
I don’t care if I’m a criminal, or if no one in the world cares about me. And the only thing I want recognition for are my skills with making coffee.
It’s just...humans have always been their own worst enemy. They’ve always fought, lied and manipulated each other for as long as time can remember.
A friend I made in the killing game thought it was useless to ever try to change that. To try to see the world in a positive light...So I made him a promise.
I made a promise, that I would defend the world! Make it a place where people don’t have to fight! Where people don’t HAVE to hate each other!
For his sake, and all the other people who were killed by the fighting...I-I PROMISED!
...I...
...
...I’m sorry...to every single one of you that I pulled all of you in on my bullshit plan. I can’t do this by myself, but no matter what, I won’t stop trying.
And I don’t want any of you to be endangered.
You don’t have to worry about that, my guy...
Huh?
I can’t speak for anyone else, but personally?
I’m not going to stop fighting against Emilia Feng...Not until she’s groveling on the ground at my feet! I’m gonna make her SUFFER!
Kuripa...!
Me too. I’m sold.
Taking down Feng would be beneficial for us too. But even if it wasn’t, we can’t let her get away with this. She’s hurt far too many people, including the 6 of you, and your friends who died in that Killing Game.
She sees humans as nothing more than test subjects. That kind of behavior and attitude cannot be forgiven. We will not let this stand.
We’re already in too deep regardless. The fact that Zetsubou haven’t caught on to us yet is a miracle. Couldn’t hurt to push a little further in.
Emilia rants about the world being a terrible and small place, but SHE’S the one who’s making it that way!
We’re Future Foundation. Getting rid of people like her is literally our job!
We’ve seen firsthand what corrupt financial powers are capable of. And we’ll help you, no matter what.
Yeah. I mean, what’s one more for the books?
You guys...
*Maya wipes her eyes.
Heh. I love you guys, really!
It goes without saying, but we’re not about to back out either.
Yep. In that case...
Right! Let’s get planning!
*Everyone puts their hands in!

Inside the Mouth: Part 1.
...
*Clad in the stolen uniform, Makoto stands outside the facility, staring up at the large brick walls.
So? How do I look?
Komaru: Um...to be honest Makoto, we don’t really know. We don’t have you on camera.
Oh...Then, how do you know I’m here?
Hunter: Satellite footage. But you’re only showing up as a dot on the screen. It’s reading your heat signature. And the heat signatures of everyone else in the building.
Four: It’s not enough to see you, but it’s enough to guide you through the building floor plan.
Well, I’ll take whatever I can get I guess.
Byakuya: Emilia Feng’s meeting is gonna begin soon. Enter the building when you’re ready.
Got it. Should I just walk through the front door or...?
Leona: Are there any rear doors where he’ll draw less attention?
Kouji: What do you think Oliver?
Oliver: Hm...If you go round to the side, there’s a door there that you can enter. Security is there, but it’s not as tight.
Got it.
Maya: If we’re lucky, they’ll just ignore Makoto entirely.
Kuripa: Hey boss! Just try to put on your meek, harmless, oppressed by the system face.
Not sure what that means, but...ok...
Four: Don’t worry about it. None of the soldiers are gonna notice unless they take a close enough look. So Makoto? Try not to stand out in any way, shape or form.
Story of my life...
...
*Makoto enters the building and starts to walk around. He tries to control his nervous breathing. As he steps in, a few Fang Inc. workers inside the building turn his way and glance at him, but they say and do nothing else.
(Phew...looks like the disguise works...)
Hiro: The disguise works!
GAH! MMPH!
*Maya’s shout on the other end of the line causes Makoto to be startled. He jumps, which turns everyone’s heads towards him again, but he remains calm and keeps walking until he’s out of eyesight.
HIRO! You almost blew my cover!
Hiro: Sorry...
Oliver: Be careful! You don’t wanna know what Emilia does with trespassers!
*Makoto starts to climb stairs going up.
It’s on the top floor, right?
???: Oi!
!!?
Komaru: Makoto!
*As he climbs the stairs, Makoto is suddenly stopped by another man near him. Upon taking a second look, he realizes he’s carrying a mop and bucket.
Cleaner: I know I’m just the cleaner, but would it kill ya’ to wipe ya’ damn boots before comin’ in ‘ere!
Oh...I-I’m really sorry!
*Makoto continues climbing up the stairs, and as he does, he passes by two other workers, talking with one another.
Oliver: Makoto wait! I know this is random, but try to listen in on what they’re saying.
What? Why?
Oliver: Just trust me. I need to gather intel.
...
*Makoto does as he’s instructed and tries to casually get in closer.
Worker 1: This is a little outside my position, and yeah, I know the director is a genius engineer and entrepreneur, but lately it seems everything she designs is weaponized.
Worker 2: I know. She is a little obsessed, but it’s not like she’s trying to pick fights with people. She’s trying to keep people safe. In this day and age, that’s what we need.
Worker 1: That might be part of it, but if you ask me, I think she just likes that power. Maybe a little too much.
Worker 2: I wouldn’t let anyone else hear you say that pal. In fact, I don’t really wanna hear it either. Director Feng is a great woman. She’s changed the USA for the better.
Worker 1: I didn’t mean any slander by it. I agree. But I also know even power can sway great men and women alike.
...
*Makoto backs away.
Hiro: Damn. It’s like people are being brainwashed.
Kuripa: Guess there’s all kinds of mind control wherever you go.
Right...anyway, back to the mission.
*Makoto continues walking, but suddenly stops.
Um...guys? We have a problem.
Hina: Oh no...what is it?
The staircase going up is past that door, but there’s a security check in front of it. I need to present some kind of ID to get in.
But...I don’t HAVE an ID.
Maya: Aw shit! We forgot about that!
Oliver: Don’t worry. There’s a computer room down the hallway behind you. You can use it to create a forgery.
Toko: Just be careful.
I know...
Oliver: Hold on! I’m looking at the map, and I’m checking two heat signals outside the computer room door. People are guarding it.
Well, how am I gonna get around them?
*Makoto peers around the corner towards the door.
...
!?
Maya: He could take them out. He’s strong right?
Kuripa: Yeah boss! Kick their asses!
Four: That’s not safe. If anyone comes down the hallway and sees the bodies, they’ll storm the computer room and catch him.
Hunter: It’s game over if they do that.
Guys?
Leona: Why doesn’t he just hide the bodies?
Hina: Hide them WHERE? It’s an empty hallway!
Guys...?
Hiro: It’s not a problem if he just goes in and out.
Byakuya: Why does our solution have to be the most barbaric thing? Surely there’s another way to get them to move.
Toko: Maybe a distraction?
Guys!
Komaru: Guys, he’s trying to tell us something. What is it Makoto?
...
They’re both flat on the ground...
Four: WHAT!?
Kuripa: You already beat them up!?
I-I didn’t do anything! They were just lying here unconscious when I got here!
Oliver: Wait a damn second...!
*Makoto hears the sound of Oliver rapidly typing on his computer and clicking their mouse.
Oliver: Oh shit...!
Oh shit what?
Oliver: Makoto? I don’t mean to alarm you, but I just updated the satellite scan. There’s a heat signature that doesn’t match you, or any registered Fang Inc. members.
Which means...!
Maya: Someone unknown is in that building with you!
Toko: But...who is it!?
Byakuya: Could it be Zetsubou? Koime!? Otonokoji!?
Kuripa: Maybe it’s fucking Gyalusetsu...!?
Where...Where are they?
Oliver: They’re...in the computer room.
...
Komaru: Makoto wait! What if you get captured!?
Don’t worry Komaru. I got this...
*Makoto carefully opens the door and slowly, carefully, steps inside the computer room.
...
...!
Four: What? What is it!?
There’s...There’s nobody here.
Hunter: Huh!?
Oliver: That doesn’t make sense! It says there’s a heat signature right here!
Kouji: Check under the desks!
*Makoto frantically checks under each desk.
No, there’s no one.
Leona: Ollie...are you sure the satellite isn’t malfunctioning?
Oliver: I’ll reboot it. Give me a second.
Toko: While they’re doing that, get that forgery printed Makoto.
Oh, yeah, sure, let me just magically produce a forged ID pass. Because that’s something I know how to do.
Maya: Gimme a second.
*Makoto hears more keyboard noises.
Maya: Do you have your phone on you?
Yes, why?
Maya: There should be a wire in one of those computers. Plug your phone into it, and I’ll upload the specs into it. Then all you have to do is print it.
Alright...
*He plugs his phone in and waits for a short while.
Maya: It’ll take some time for the forgery to finish, so try to hold down the fort until then.
Alright...I’ll just...
Oliver: Oh SHIT!
!!?
Byakuya: What!?
Oliver: The scanner wasn’t broken! There really is another trespasser!
Leona: Wh-Where!?
*BANG!*
!!??
Oliver: ABOVE YOU! THEY’RE IN THE VENTS!
*As Oliver shouts this, Makoto suddenly hears a slam in the ventilation shaft above him, and looks up at a grate.
...!
*BANG!* *SMACK!* *CLANG!* *CRAAASH!*
!!??
*After some more pounding, the grate comes away...
...
*...and a figure starts to drop down from the hole...

Goodbye Freedom Foundation [End of Arc]
A-Are you serious?
Very serious, yes. Why so surprised Four? After everything you’ve done for us, this is the least we owe you.
But...we ditched you right before the climactic fight against Katagiri.
That was only one slight Maya. Ever since we arrived here, you’ve been nothing but selfless and helpful to us. And given the circumstances, it’s difficult to blame you for that event.
Hold on though, I’m still confused. What exactly are you doing?
Alright, let me go over it once again quickly. As you know, due to certain circumstances, we will be returning to Japan today.
Which means this is where we say goodbye.
Right...
However, given how helpful and kind you have been to us, I don’t want this to be the end of our collaborations. Which is why I’m giving you all an offer.
An offer to become the Future Foundation’s Freedom Strike Force.
And what does this...Freedom Strike Force do?
Let’s put it this way. Since we’re based in Japan, but our work expands to the whole world, it’s difficult to work on a global scale without tackling large legal issues.
And the Big Apple has housed a lot of Bad Apples lately, which we’ve been lucky enough to be around to stop.
After we leave, we need to make sure someone is still around to look after it when we’re gone.
As part of the Freedom Strike force, you would be doing basically the same work you would be doing as the Freedom Foundation. However, you’ll receive funding from the Future Foundation, and we’ll help take care of whatever legal quandaries you may come across.
So like...it’s our regular jam without any of the consequences.
Just don’t go abusing your power, alright? We’re not gonna back you up if you go robbing banks or whatever.
Haha. Don’t worry. We’re not the kind of crooks that go robbing banks.
You aren’t crooks period. Maybe you’re a couple of odd ducks and...I’ll admit, some of you aren’t slick.
But you get it done. And you’re some of the nicest and most helpful people I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting.
Hina is right. We wouldn’t have been able to survive over here if it wasn’t for your efforts. This is the least we can do.
The induction won’t be immediate. There is still some fine print to read over which might deter you. I don’t want an answer just yet.
It sounds too good to be true if I’m being honest.
Exactly why I’m letting myself convince you first. I’ll send some of our operatives over to Maya’s café when the heat dies down with us. For now though...
Yeah...I guess this is it, huh...Goodbye, for real this time.
This isn’t as easy for me as you think, you know that?
Indeed. As we’ve said already, we owe you a great debt. You’ve not only been true allies, but true friends to us.
Makes me regret having blown you off initially.
You won’t see us getting mad at you for that.
*Byakuya steps forward and holds out his hand. Oliver takes it and shakes it.
Goodbye Oliver. I hope that what remains of Fang Inc. will be swiftly dealt with and handled properly. And I hope your future is brighter without the demons that loom over you.
Heh. That was poetic of you.
What can I say? I’m quite the charmer.
Suuuure. In any case, thanks to you, I’m sure it’ll all go well. I’m gonna miss you buddy.
And I’m gonna miss you Kyoko. It was so lucky that we met and...It’s gonna be difficult for me going back to the only sane member of the group.
I’m the lucky one Four. If you ever come to Japan and...you need a place to stay or something to do...just stop by.
Hehe...Tears? Really? Ok then...
*Four hugs Kyoko.
And we’ll see you later too Leona.
*smack!*
Ow!
*Makoto kneels for a handshake, but Leona smacks his hand.
Put that away! We huggin’ in this house!
Oh!
*She glomps him into an embrace. Makoto returns the embrace.
Goodbye Makoto. Even if this isn’t the last time we meet, I’m never gonna forget what we did together.
And I’m never gonna forget your bravery and guidance that saved us against Fang Inc. You’re amazing Leona. Keep it up.
I will! I really will!
...
Aren’t you gonna say goodbye Hina?
Yeah I just...I’m trying to think of what I want to say. There’s way too many things I have to thank you for now that I’m going.
Then let me ask a question. You still not planning on returning to Future Foundation?
I’m...still thinking about it. I don’t know what I really should do with myself.
The way I see it, you don’t have to worry.
*Kouji takes Hunter’s hand.
Future Foundation or no, the people around you are still your friends. Don’t be afraid to rely on them, alright? That goes for us too.
Yeah. I guess I still have a lot to learn about myself and my life. You taught me that, so...thanks.
Heh. I didn’t teach you anything. It’s Hunter who’s the GOAT here. No one’s a better moral booster than he is.
Hehe. Wouldn’t get anywhere without you.
They are right you know Hina. We’ll always be friends, no matter what.
It’d be a miracle if I actually found a way to get rid of you, but all things considered, being stuck with you as a friend isn’t SO bad.
Classic roundabout compliment from Toko. Luckily, I know you sense of humor by now, so I’ll take it.
Oh, Hina! One more thing! About Yasuhiro.
Huh?
I hope you kick Zetsubou’s ass and rescue him like the true leader you are! You got it!
Y-Yeah. Thanks Kouji. Thanks Hunter.
Come here you!
*Hunter, Kouji, Toko, Komaru and Hina all get pulled into a large bear hug.
...C-Canzanilla.
...K-Kurafto. I just want to know that no matter...what obstacles got in our way...It’s...been an honor serving with you.
Y-Yeah. I apologize for my...fuckups...to put lightly...a-and...Gh...
GAHAAAAAAHAAAGH!
WAAAAAAAAAAAAHAAGH AAHM GUNNA MISH YOU SHO MUUUHUCH!
*CHOKE!* Grgh! N-Not as much as I’m gonna mish YOU!
*Bawling their eyes out, Kuripa and Maya yank one another into each other’s embrace.
*sniff* In all seriousness...No matter how much I mess up, or what terrible things I do later down the line...
Nothing...and I mean NOTHING...is gonna change how much you mean to me, Maya Canzanilla. Not time, nor space, nor being so very far apart.
Green-Haired Weirdo’s gotta stick together, right?
Yeah. Green-Haired Weirdo’s gotta stick together.
Everyone. The jet has just landed, and they are ready for us to board. I suggest we make haste.
Oh. I guess that’s our queue.
Kuripa wait! Just one last thing!
Yeah?
Make sure that...*sniff* Kaede keeps practicing with that spear, ok?
Heh. Will do!
*With that, the Future Foundation start heading off.
GOODBYE FF!
SEE YOU LATER FF! Haha!
[Freedom Cafe F2, Maya’s room, that same day - 19:00]
*Four and Maya lounge alone in Maya’s bedroom, watching her small TV, the day’s events playing on their mind. Four lazes on the bed while Maya sits on the floor staring at the TV.
Still thinking about them?
I mean how could I not? The only other people in my whole life who have impacted me more than Kuripa and the others are...well...YOU.
Maybe you disagree but...after having gotten to know them, I feel like a completely different person. And...I don’t even remember what I was like before this point.
For once, I actually agree with your crazy ramblings. You haven’t changed much on your own, but a lot HAS changed since we met the Future Foundation, even though it was a short while ago.
So are we gonna sign up for this Freedom Strike Force stuff?
I’ll need to do a once over of the fine print, but I’m leaning towards yes. Any sacrifice is worth it if it means we can continue our collaborations with them.
*Maya climbs onto the bed,
In other words, you just wanna hang out more. You’ve changed a lot too. You’re way more open than you were before.
True. I used to think it wasn’t worth having a story to tell, so I never really made light conversation. I never used to think about anyone else’s lives or perspectives other than my own.
And now?
Well, that changed since I met you Maya, but the Future Foundation definitely helped to open my eyes a little more. Now I don’t think I’m too against the idea of making more friends and liking myself a little more.
Mhm~ You’re already super cool Four. Get any cooler and I really won’t be able to resist.
My my Maya Canzanilla, are you flirting with me?
*Maya brushes Four’s face.
I mean I have been for the past couple of years bella. Thanks for only noticing now~
...~
*Maya and Four don’t hold back any more, and engage in a deep and loving smooch.
As for me, I’ve come to accept that I love you, and that I want you to love me even more.
Hehe...I can’t say no to that offer.
In that case~
*Maya starts biting Four’s neck.
Wah-Hey! HEY! T-Take it easy, will you? Moving a bit too fast!
Oh...you don’t like it?
No, no, it’s not that, it’s just...I’m not in a sexy mood, I’m in a cozy just-wanna-talk-mood.
Alright then. You know I can talk all night if you need me to!
*sigh* You really are something...
