#vent #for the last 4 months my life has been in stupid crisis mode #like constantly #from major ones where i had to move out for a while because it was impossible to stay where i lived #to not being able to use my kitchen for over a week #and like other more or less minor house related stuff that made it impossible for me to use something normally #not a single week without something like that or shit at work which is constantly being so fucking chaotic #and now someone died in my family #not someone very close but i liked them #and of course like feeling sad that they are gone can't be the only thing #because it has to come with the headache of i need to travel for their funeral and it's just before easter #so there's no one in this city to leave my dog with #because most of my friends either live abroad or have cats or are busy before easter.. #i'd just want a week where nothing happens #and like the writing is weighing heavy on me #because i miss it #also i wish i could finish something #i wish something good would happen that i could feel proud off #also because i'm mentally ill and fucking stupid when i was going crazy with my kitchen not working and work shit #i bought new furniture #because after 15 years i've finally had enough money to buy some that aren't fucking black and inconvenient and ugly #which is like a huge project and a crisis i brought onto myself #just because i was too burnt out to write #and i wanted something nice to happen to me #like a nice living space that doesn't make feel like i have no ownership over it because everything in it was some else's choice #and that old furniture was bought by my mother and my brother ages ago and it's handmedowns #and my fucking horrible mother feels personally slighted that i want to get rid of a bed that is broken #because my brother's kids jumped on it regularly when they used to visit pre covid #yeah it's been broken that long because i lost all my savings during covid and had to change careers to a souless pointless corpo job #long pathetic whine and overshare over

its so funny watching my mom be like "nahhh, we don't need this (relatively cheap) kitchen tool, we can cook fine without it" but then when i finally convince her to buy it every time she's using it shes like "wow im so glad we have this it's so useful" its genuinely so funny

#speculation nation #work sucked today but in brighter moments ive just been buzzing in excitement about furniture #i bought some storage shelves and then a bookshelf #im gonna put the storage shelves at the far side of my living room & put as many of my boxes as i can fit on it #removing Box Island from the center of my living room lol #i wanna also sort thru the boxes to figure out what things would be considered permanent storage (archival things) #which would be priority placed on the storage shelves #and then figure out what boxes i would potentially want to unpack in the coming months. to keep in easier to access locations. #yes ive been living here for 2+ years and yes ive only got like half my shit unpacked. such is life. #for my new bookshelf i wanna do a little more rearranging #the cats' fancy litter box is in the little hallway leading into the bathroom #placed there bc it was the easiest to access outlet for the self cleaning litter box #but it's chunky and gets in the way and with the non clumping litter those things are like fucking legos on the floor #crunch crunch crunch under my slippers. id like the litter box more out of the way. #so im gonna put it in the cat area of the living room. rearranging some stuff over there to make it fit. #and then where it is rn in the hallway. im gonna put my new bookshelf. #i dont know what books im gonna put on it yet. probably my less personal books. probably no manga. #im supposed to get a bookshelf from my dad sometime that's bigger than both my current and my new bookshelf #and im gonna put it in my room. clear the space behind my TV. and Theres where i wanna put out all my manga thats been in storage #idk. shelves!!! potential!!!! its all so exciting. #nothing like new furniture to make me feel like im gonna try to get my life back in order. #and Honestly having the living room suddenly so much cleaner has been... nice. #im gonna work on cleaning my room soon. it is Long overdue.

#the slight caveat is the house they had built they could never afford where I live 2 hours away but STILL #I am staying in their basement that's a full suite -- the bedroom is bigger than mine at home #full bath -- there's a huge bar that is bigger than my kitchen -- a gym -- gigantic TV #when they bought their house they went to a furniture show room and just bought an entire huge house's worth of furniture #when my friend got a new job that was fully remote she treated herself to a THREE THOUSAND DOLLAR COFFEE MAKER #my friend was already making v good money doing the CPA/corporate thing #and her husband just officially started as a doctor in a specialty that pays VERY well when they moved here #I just....... #surreal #personal

Went to a flea market yesterday hoping to come home with a bunch of plushies. Found one (1) zodiac beanie babie rat that looks like the embodiment of an acid trip (I mean that in the best way possible)

#severely disappointed that there was nobody sellibg stuffed animals at the flea market #and it was a huge market #most people were selling clothes and jewelry #like. new clothes and jewelry #thats not what people gp to flea markets for!!!! #if I wanted clothes and jewelry I'd literally just shop at the store I work at #or any store for that matter #flea markets are for old trinkets and knick knacks. shit people had hiding in their attic for 10+ years #They're a place to get rid of your now adult kids' old toys and furniture #its the place to sell shit that you bought from goodwill hoping to make a profit and then failed to sell on ebay for a scalper's price #the coolest thing I saw at the flea market was a moose head wall decoration #I've never seen a moose irl. I could tell that head was real and taxidermied #that shit was literally 4 ft tall. and that was just the height of the head and neck!! (not including the antlers either!) #it was so fucking cool but frightening #anyways THATS the kinda shot I was hoping to find #but there was just nothing. absolutely nada #again I foubd 1 beanie babie #I did see like one or 2 other plushies but they were so ragged I couldn't justify buying em #especially for like $5-7 a piece #anyways #viti shoosh
