hiya! i'm doing great today actually!! today's dinner project was my favourite fish dish, and it turned out great! i hope you had a good day to or if it just started, it goes well! 😎🐢

it's called ikan 3 rasa. translated directly to 3-flavoured fish haha. it's sweet and sour and spicy and i've loved it ever since i was a child!!! and i finally made it at home!! we've made it at home before, but i wasn't the one to "lead" the project, so to speak. i'm very proud of myself heheheh. we ate it for dinner and everyone rated it very highly so i'm patting myself on the back for it!!

OH also, i forgot to follow up to your ask BUT just as you answered it, the same day i got marius's enduring light card KAHRSKDJDJFK what did you not like about it? i haven't finished it (only on part two before i fell asleep yesterday after levelling it up) but i was kinda like. Going Through It in a manner of speaking. the first cg with marius pinning rosa to the table had me feeling UMMMMM 😃😄😁🫢🫣🧐😳🤒🤧 <- like that. i was sick. i was throwing up. i was astounded. i wanted to close every door i was capable of closing. i also lowkey rlly like how bossy and domineering he sounds, its a nice contrast. it might also be because the one sounding domineering is ishikawa kaito who has a very good warm sort of boyish voice!! i really like how different it feels as an AU compared to the canon story. in vyn's too (i went for him first and used free pulls on marius and got lucky LMAO) his dialogue writing is a lot less condescending and he sounds more petulant and childish because he drops the honorifics and respectful language due to his character in the AU. personally, i like the AU, but not because i like the writing LOL tot could use a lot of improvement there, but everyone's fits were very cool + i like the opportunity for the voice actors to try out a different "tone" for the characters. since in canon / modern world, they're all fairly even tempered and not very animated + respectful, so it's nice to see them getting openly pissed off or bossy or Mean.

lowkey kinda didn't like vyn's story for the enduring light SSR tbh. i liked it well enough because of the refreshing VA work, but the story was just alright for me. it makes me want to write my own take on the AU, but i don't know enough about the historical context and i don't feel shameless enough to bullshit things about a culture that's not mine, haha. plus i already have a vyn thing in my drafts (but still not written out orz) so i'm Tired!!

100% agree with you tho, tiktok is the one of the reasons I'm surprised they strayed so far from the original clothing style. I mean OG Monster High is a huge hit on there because of the fashion, people who never even owned the dolls or watched any of the media dress up as the characters all the time. When Garrett Sander was creating Monster High, he went out to alt fashion stores (Hot Topic lol) to see what was trendy with teens at the time. You can just kinda tell that that same effort wasn't put in with this new generation.

Obviously not every character had punk or alt fashions senses, but the main thing is you could immediately get a sense of their personalities just by looking at them. When I tell you I have NO idea what Clawdeen's new personality is.

Another aspect of that is if you tried to mix up the original characters clothes it would look wrong because it wouldn't fit their personalities. Clawdeen dressed in Draculaura's clothes and vice versa would look so strange because we know they'd never dress that way. (The Fusion Inspired line is a great example of this actually. The dolls look so wrong because they're not dressing like themselves, they're literally impersonating their friends) The Creepover dolls in particular rely so heavily on colors and patterns to distinguish the characters, because if you look at that line you realize they're essentially wearing the exact same outfit. And they overdo it. A friend pointed out to me that Dead Tired kinda did the same thing

If you boil it down, they're all basically wearing shirts, capri pants, and slippers.

But look at the details!

Clawdeen's shirt is ripped and cropped. Draculaura has puff sleeves, and bows, and ruffles. Lagoona's pants have little slits in the sides for her fins. Cleo's slippers have little golden crowns. Ghoulia's little printed on suspenders and bow tie. Not to mention these look like actual pajama sets! And when they did expand the line they added a lot of variety in what the characters were wearing. In comparison the Creepover dolls just look...generic? Idk, like the designers were just like "Let's put them in pajamas" instead of being like "How would these characters wear pajamas" if that makes sense.

Ugh, this was really rambly, and I apologize, so I'mma cut it here cuz I know I could go on for a while. To summarize I just don't think these new designs have a lot of thought put into their designs or what they're wearing.

I'm a little disappointed with totk so far. Idk i just thought the world would *feel* different. More developed, maybe a little darker. I know a world more fully enveloped in a darker aesthetic would probably get old very quick for a lot of people but idk. Re-exploring the same world with a few rocks shifted over is also getting pretty old.

i feel like the best way to describe the difference between the book and the musical is like...if both galinda and elphaba were tasked with adapting the same story, galinda would write the musical and elphaba would write the book.

which doesnt mean i think the musical is bad

but people tend to dislike the book for the same reason characters dislike elphaba - its offputting, strange, unsettling, makes you think about things you'd rather avoid

and the musical is like galinda - well meaning, fun, polished, wildly popular...but...it just doesn't do it for me the way the book does.

all the queerness, and darkness, and anti imperialism got stripped away to leave something palatable and easy to market. the message doesn't go as deep because it can't while appealing to as wide a market as possible

and its a great musical! it's fun and makes you feel good! but it's just not the story that grabs me

I empathise with much of what you're saying anon! Entrapta isn't personally relatable to me and there's any number of things to say about how she and misunderstandings in the show were handled.

But that's why only having like,, 3 canon autistic girls to turn to in media is a problem. Autism is a spectrum and Entrapta clearly means a lot to the 50+ people who have nominated her to be a part of the bracket. I'm certain she's paved the way for representation in the future, so I will be honoured to have her!

hi! I just wanna tell you that DEAR M IS LOSER JAEHYUN'S ERA. Lol kidding aside. I noticed that he was kinda stiff (idk if thats the right word) and that his actions are kind of awkward. The little twitch over here and there... some quirks i do when i feel awkward. He does that when he's not even at the center. Like you'll notice how awkward he felt at that moment. But dont get me wrong i love jaehyun sm. I just feel like he can do more if he's given a chance to star in another drama. ALSO he's a good kisser (on screen). i'm like terrified for winwin and yuta's acting debuts. people who are fans of yuta seem to have all these high expectations but from the trailer i'm like "eh, reminds me of Gokusen but edgier" lol i love yuta but i'm expecting it's going to be him glaring daggers (which he's amazing at doing already), the typical japanese tough school boy/tough guy growl (idk how they do this when they talk but i secretly love it), then proceed into a fight scene where the camera work is about about a C+ where you can clearly see no actual physical contact happened 🤣 but this is such a great opportunity for yuta and it’s like FINALLY he gets a chance to shine on his own and for winwin...like winwin is secretly my spirit animal 😊 but i'm not expecting much from him. he doesn't really "emote/react" that much when around the nct members and with wayv (though i did see laughing, talking, etc. more) it doesn't make me think like 'yeah he's going to be a decent actor" but he looks like he's having so much fun and that's all i care about ^^ when you do something you love and have fun doing it you’re not actually “working” so winwin fighting!

Like, those of us in the byler fandom have all enjoyed the subtle context clues and coding that they used throughout the first two seasons. Hi there. Firstly, thanks for the polite way you framed your question. However from what you have said here, I gather that there are two assumptions that you have made about me that I need to clarify and correct.

Assumption 1: That I want or care if Byeler becomes canon or Will comes out on the show.

And assumption 2: That I care whether other Stranger Things fans believe that Will is gay or that Byeler is a worthy or believable ship.

Both of these are not things that I care about. And thats not me saying that other people shouldnt care about them, or that they are wrong if they DO care about them. I'm only speaking for myself here.

I'm guessing you might have only come across my tumblr recently, since I have a long history of not caring whether Byeler goes canon or not on the show. You can see posts I've made about the subject here and here. In fact I've gone as far as to say I hope they don't make Byeler canon, because I can't see how they could do it in a way that I would find satisfying.

And its... proving to be true. Sure we are getting some gay rep through their sloppy heavy-handed hinting at Will's sexuality in S3 and S4. But that doesn't mean I have to like it. In fact I have been very vocal about my dislike of S3. I'm in the camp of if-you-can't-do-it-right-then-dont-do-it-at-all when it comes to Will's sexuality or Byeler.

And as for what you say about the show having to cater to the audience of people who are not on the Byeler ship to convince them that its a worthwhile ship (by making the gayness very obvious)... um nope, I don't really care what the other fans think or whether they share the same opinions as me.
