today at work one of the kids asked me to show her a video on my phone and I said no and another kid said "if they did that they could get FIRED. and it's REALLY hard to find a job in this market right now" and I did not know how to respond to that for a second

Finding home

Iruma clenched his fist. This was wrong it couldn't be right. His parents weren't here, and nobody was abandoning him. He took a deep breath. No, those weren't his parents they hadn't been for a long time.

What was it you always did to calm down? You who always made him feel safe and secure. You would sing out loud and chase the nightmares away. Maybe he could try?

something missing from FS reading are more piles to choose from, I know its hard to do multiple piles but I really believe if we have 5 of 6 to choose from they wont be so general and vague when describing things about their personality/relationship., some people even do two piles which to me seems WAY too vague

Ah, your message here is what I was actually asking for when I made my post. Anyway yea I understand where you are coming from. But several things:

1. Like you said, it is hard to do multiple piles

Especially on tumblr where the algorithm is... not algorithm-ing and people don't like to reblog things. As a content creator you would spend hours on multiple piles only for it to end up staying on your blog and not getting you much growth. It doesn't feel like it's worth the energy.

2. People have a tendency to choose more piles when there are more piles to choose from

Some piles will end up feeling the same, or having similar energy no matter how many options we have, I don't know why but it happens. The problem is, people may not know how to make a choice between piles with similar energy so they choose all of the piles they are attracted to (i.e having similar energy). It's not wrong per se, it just makes me feel like this makes their final reading end up not having unique qualities since they may take all information from all the piles they choose.

3. New way of dividing the piles

I've been thinking about doing this. Because of the above reason, I think maybe it's better if we start off with limited main piles (such as 4 piles), and then have options within each of the pile to narrow down the main energy even more.

Let's say the PAC contains four piles on the topic of fs' personality. You chose Pile 1 and get the info on their core personality. But then before it goes deeper into their hobbies, you are given 2-3 more choices (within that Pile 1) to choose from. The fs share the same core characteristics (similar energy), but may have different hobbies (different details). So one querent may choose Pile 1 and Option 1, another querent may choose Pile 1 and Option 2.

Basically, instead of dividing the PAC into 6+ piles, it's dividing Pile 1 into 2-3 more piles. It's slicing the energy of Pile 1 into different small groups. The same applies to Pile 2, 3, and 4. It's like my color explanation post, instead of having Blue, Purple, Pink, Green, Yellow, Brown piles (a.k.a 6 piles); we stick to Blue, Green, Red, Brown as the main piles.

And then we slice the Pile Blue further into Midnight Blue, French Blue, Sky Blue (a.k.a 3 more options within the Blue pile). So that people who are attracted to the Blue color will not be distracted by Blue, Purple, Pink piles (colors that are close to each other); instead, they can focus on Pile Blue, and then they can choose between Midnight Blue or French Blue or Sky Blue to accommodate their personal differences. Does that make sense? Ig I want to try that, but then again, it's a hard work.

Her mom and dad had very old-fashioned views on everything from gender to sexuality to the kind of people you should associate with. Deanne and her brother David fell in line. Because of this, Deanne battled with compulsive heterosexuality for the first 22 or so years of her life.

Deanne spent most of her childhood life doing whatever she could to please her overbearing mother. She went to church every Sunday, she got top grades in all her classes, she dated a nice catholic boy through most of high school, and she tried her best to lose the extra belly weight her mother hated.

However, no child is a perfect obedient robot, even Deanne had her moments of rebellion. Her main rebellion was her best friend; Andy. Deanne's mom made her disapproval of Andy very clear from the get-go (mainly because both Andy and her moms are out and proud lesbians). But Deanne didn't care; Andy was the best friend she could have asked for.

The two girls did everything together, they shared classes, homework answers, sleepovers, everything. The only thing they never talked about was Andy's giant crush on Deanne. It was obvious, neither of them needed to point it out. Andy held herself back from pursuing it because she knew Deanne was straight. Deanne tried not to think about it too often because she wanted to be straight.

Eventually, the time for college acceptance comes and Deanne gets a letter from big-name university a few cities away. Her parents try to talk her out of it, but she falls in love with the idea of it and decides to go. Meanwhile, Andy's less than stellar grades get her into a state college in the opposite direction. The two women grow apart, never completely losing contact, but not quite having the same closeness as before.

Finally, away from her childhood home, and the pressures of her conservative parents, Deanne's able to admit to herself what she's been feeling her whole life. She's not straight, she doesn't even really like guys, she's a lesbian. She's a lesbian and was in love with her best friend and it was a missed opportunity.

Deanne does what most freshly out lesbians do in college and enjoys herself. She goes on dates, has some fun, and tries and fails to forget about Andy. Eventually, she graduates from college, and then vet school and when she finds work in the same city that Andy now lives in she sees an opportunity to rekindle... something.

Andy has a girlfriend at this point - Raven, but they're looking for a roommate to join their rent agreement. Deanne is a poor college graduate looking for somewhere to live, it doesn't take the two degree-holding women to add 2+2 to get 4. Deanne moves in.

The two fall back into friendship as if they never took a break. Raven is off at work half the time and the two spend a lot of alone time. Raven and Andy are in a (very healthy) poly relationship so it doesn't take long for Andy to ask Deanne if she'd be interested in dating.

Deanne very quickly agrees and the two have a whirlwind honeymoon romance. Deanne struggles a bit with jealousy (this is her first poly relationship, so sue her), but she doesn't want to jeopardize how happy she is, so she does her best to get to know Raven and get along with her.

The two actually have a lot in common. They both have a soft fondness for Andy and love to talk about all her quirks, teasing her. They both love a good murder podcast and tea in the mornings when it's still a little cold out. They both love cats.

So, it starts as an Andy has two hands situation, but quickly becomes a 'we collectively have six hands' situation instead.
