Genuinely, I have never been in such a cool community with so many cool people. It's small, but I like it that way, bc most people know each other or at least know of each other. And when new art or stories or memes or just!! Content in general is posted! It's something I get so excited about!! Bc we only get so much each day.

The amount of friends I've made is beyond insane, I never thought I'd make so many genuine connections. Not just one-convo "hi, how are you's" but GENUINE connections with people that I love and support!! It's amazing. hi hi dawnie. omg u have watched it toooo. i really enjoyed it, too much to point so many flaws and enjoying them lawl.

lets start with glorification of the main character(s)

all most the medias suffer from this and they are somehow bearable but here it was as plain as a day that the plot saved Jang Tae Sang multiple times. not only that i disliked the fact how he looked down up his patriotic friend Kwun Jun-taek from the very beginning and whatever he did in the name of patriotism yet at the end we see Kwun Jun Taek acknowledge Jang Tae-sang as a true patriot who actually betrayed his comrades and Jang Tae-sang when subjected to torture ( and he wasn't even tortured that much ) compared to Gap-pyeong and the other torture methods that are shown.

Jang Tae Sang as a true patriot did all those things that Kwun Jun Taek should have done. It was disappointing to see him ask about the dynamite after going through so much just to enter the premises of the hospital.

All though it was very refreshing to see my favorite kind of love ( aka love in the times of war ) blossom but it was rushed. Jang Tae Sang lost his parents and built a found family but when he met Yoon Chae-ok he followed her like a puppy because of her beautiful eyes and the death toll on his head. It was compelling but it would have been astounding to see him go on guilt-trip upon the fact how this girl has been looking for her mother for 10 long years and he gave up way to easily and thus falling for her while exploring his emotions alongside but they were still very cute and soothing to watch compared to some cringe shows.

the start of certain things and then negligence ( aka the use of popular booktok/bookstagram tropes )

I watched the seven episodes with so much curiosity and hoped to see the focus shift from Yoon Chae-ok to her father. after turning into a deadly creature she had only memories of her child which seemed a little off putting given how the father and the child has been looking for her for almost ten years. and in the end, his sacrifice was just for the character development of yoon chae-ok or whatever.

the presence of myeong-ja was just to bring the main characters together and create a cliffhanger. The way that commissioner reacted to the baby news almost made me think he was behind her disappearance and just to get even with Jang Tae-sang he himself hired him for this case but it was the bored, neglected, rich bratty delutional wife.

Let's admit that Lady Maeda was just bored. all ten episodes and for her motive we get, "people betray because they're weak." and she liked the spark Jang Tae-sang had and now she wants to fix him, sounds as mad as creating a creature like that.

Mad scientist was really an interesting character to see and just when he was blooming they cut off the growth from the stem. i wanted to see some more of him.

i loved how this all started with women and ended with them which brings me to my point how they explored and showed all the possibilities of cliffhanger ending. its not the cliffhanger part that bothers me, its the number of cliffs that does.

Comes back from the dead to talk about Dawny because my own character is killing me. Like just being kind of a weird teenager growing up in such a contained environment of people is hard enough, but growing up trans on top of it and then having to start all over must be a so confusing. Like with Dawny I imagine he gets bullied for just being a little weirdo his entire childhood and I don’t think anyone is extremely bigoted but just the usual culprits of bullying being assholes just to be assholes and of course the adults being weird because adults are usually the ones who suck the most when it sucks the most with that kind of stuff. But his dad accepts him wholeheartedly and helps him transition and he feels like he is finally himself. But he never feels truly a part of the community that he’s always had to call home you know and anyones vault dweller is going to feel that way just because they don’t think you’re one of them in one way or another. Anyways dad leaves and it’s like well this is my community but my real home is with him so obviously I have to do everything to get him back. And his whole journey is like desperately trying to get what he finds to be this like crux of himself back but ends up learning how to build community and build himself up from the blank slate that is leaving the vault. And then his dad dying and scrambling to pick up the pieces with saving the vault only to be rejected… this shatters his life apart and he’s irrational and loses most of his sense of self. The rest of his journey is figuring out once and for all who he truly is at the core of himself to ironically finish the job of the guy he based his identity on, but this time he’s doing it fully on his own terms and also being so trans about it.

TLDR; Be trans, build community, kill the president

And you're right! You are asking about Donnie, thoughhhh they go by a different name, all the turtles except Venus do!!

(Which,,, is Dawni, because I couldn't find a name that stuck and so I thought "wouldn't it be cute if I spelt his name differently? And then that stuck lmao)

Anyways!! I would like to preface this with saying I am in no way a medical professional, and am bullshitting everything the entire way with baseline research while also combining a fictional and hardly explained magic with real science. I am so sorry if nothing makes sense or is filled to the brim with inaccuracies lmao

His jaw. Yeah it's made up of a mystic-mechanical metal, and is a prosthetic.

I don't want to go too far in depth about Everything that happened, but I took inspiration from Rise and Bayverse that the turtles were made in a lab, and intentionally as,, weapons.

So, while the turtles and Splinter were mutating things went very very wrong, and the lab started to explode. Splinter could only get to one turtle and save them before being forced to flee, the other three being lost elsewhere.

(So, this is also a separated au)

Except Dawn, who was trapped and hurt very badly from everything, but don't worry! The mutagen is keeping them alive(yay) and in a whole lot of pain(not yay)

Basically, since they were created intentionally, the mutagen was coded specifically with enhanced healing, and while the mutation process is going on it keeps the subject stable, which spreads to like, injuries.

Dawn lived only because Draxum found them in a relatively short timeframe, and rushed them into intensive care, where it was necessary to amputate. Dawn stayed in the ICU for,, A Long Time before finally healing enough to be released. It took even longer for the prosthetic arm and leg as Draxum was not like, the most familiar with tech, he's still an alchemist in this iteration.

A cuter fact is that's why Dawn got interested in science and building things, because half of their limbs is mechanical and their father is A Scientist and that is so cool, isn't it?
