just remembered i used to run a whole astronomy blog a few year ago. like i mean it wasnt much of anything but it was so organized for all my astro posting needs. i kinda wanna bring it back but also i like #astro posting on main so. hm

url is westerlund2 btw. which i love because that's the closest thing you can get to a "canon" url for astronomy

i like to think that- in saving the phoenix at the end of KBOOM- roxana's hands suffered some pretty serious burns from willingly getting so close to the magma. i, too, have occasionally had a thought of prism and solaris meeting up, and those thoughts always eventually flow into solaris taking note of the scars and assuming that the phoenix caused them. which, admittedly, why should she imagine otherwise? when all she knows is the trail of fiery destruction they leave in their wake, and the familiarity of the burns on her own skin.

there's something there to me about solaris assuming she can have a kinship with another inventor, and prism... obviously having a slightly different take on the whole phoenix situation. both so similar and so different at the same time.

all this to say by the time you add john in there i think it would turn into public debate class💥

OUUH YES you reminded me that I Forgot to add that bullet point in the relationship thingy, but I didn't have enough space as it is...I'm very sure that their perspectives on Phoenix are a common cause of arguments between them, ranging from silly to maybe serious. All their lives changed by that one agent, in drastically different ways...

Solaris and Prism could probably still bond over a lot of things (inventing and all that Zoraxis Baggage:tm: maybe even fabby) but they're certainly stubborn about how they view Phoenix. Now I'm wondering if Prism could change Solaris's mind about them.. knowing her though it's better to not push it because I def think Solaris isn't the type to let go of grudges so easily.

Also I got inspired to do some doodles on the topic :thumbsup: Solaris's house is never gonna have a moment of peace for a long time *sitcom theme song plays. but bond style somehow*

Aaah Mia I was so excited to see that you watched Barbie! What did you think of it?

Alright, I'm gonna put this under the cut for anyone who wants to avoid spoilers!

Faye, would you believe me if I told you that this was very out of my usual comfort zone? :D Because it was! I never really watch movies like these. Actually, pretty much the only movies I make a point of checking out nowadays are horror movies. Especially indie horror movies! (A24 my beloved) I don't talk much about my love for horror genre on this blog, since I know it's definitely not for everyone, but I am, in fact, a huge horror fan. That aside, I went to see the Barbie movie mostly for the aesthetic of it. I honestly didn't have any expectations for it, and that's how I like it. We're all there to have a good time! It doesn't have to be groundbreaking or anything. (I'm looking at you unnecessary internet discourse, I am shooing you away with a comically large broom!) And... I had a good time with it! Had quite a few genuine laughs, was very impressed with the production of it, and the acting was great! This movie was made with love, and you know? That's what I appreciate the most about it. We don't get that often nowadays, sadly. (Definitely not the fault of the creators, the movie industry right now is absolutely horrendous with the way it treats its creators)

I even cried! Wow! But, uh, that's not that impressive, since... I cry at everything. Show me a video of a cute cockatoo snuggling, and I will sniffle away. Well, I do have two specific scenes that are definitely stuck in my head. In a good way!

I couldn't help but think about that scene where Barbie asks permission to be herself, and then she gets told that she doesn't need permission for that as I got back home. That no one can give her permission to do that, because that's just something you start doing yourself. I definitely thought about that scene for some time.

But, oh, my absolute favorite scene was something else.

The moment I cried was when Barbie was admiring the old lady sitting next to her on the bench. Because that's what it means to be human and that's what life is. And she saw her imperfection, and aging, and realized that it was beautiful. Barbie was so afraid of being imperfect, of getting old and dying, and then she saw that all of this could be beautiful too, and she cried, and I cried too.

Overall, I recommend it! It's a heartfelt movie that you can laugh at, cry at, and just have a good time with it. I can see myself rewatching it when I need a pick-me-up :)

yeah I don't talk about psychosis a ton but I've come so far in accepting it and a lot of that processing has been through Gerard's art for sure! there was this shift from believing there was something fundamentally deeply wrong that I couldn't get rid of and was alone in, to discovering that there people who just... admitted it. out loud on stage. who made art about it and went to a therapist and were proof I could have a future! I think this was the video where it hit me.

anyway I have so much love for you and in case you need to hear it: whatever you're experiencing is just a part of your life. while it may shape you (like lots of pain/experience does), it doesn't define you. and there is a future, there is so much beautiful time. I'm not a teenager anymore and I've lived more than I thought I would but I'm still so young. and it hasn't left--the noise gets bad some nights, and I wake up some days believing things I have to talk myself out of, or just wait out. but there is so much space for other experiences, so much room to be a person. psychosis, whether a solitary event or a constant companion, is just another way of existing in the world. I won't downplay it, but also that's just how it is for me.

From what I can tell discourse usually happens when we're all sitting around waiting for more South Park content but we get bored so we just start fighting with each other lol. Maybe I'm wrong, I haven't been in this fandom as long as some of you, but I've at least noticed it a lot ever since the last episode of Season 26 aired. No hate I like witnessing it from the sidelines but damn I'm glad that I only see what goes on here and I don't touch my Twitter. I don't even know if anything's happening on Twitter, I just know that things would be a lot worse if I did use it frequently 😭

#I mostly use Twitter when new stuff is coming out so I can see more people's thoughts and reactions #y'all should crosspost stuff from there more often though I fucking hate that site.
