I saw that cute post you made where Namaari has a habit of sleeping in with Raya so could you make a fic where Virana needs Namaari for something and sees her dead asleep with Raya?
And Virana leaves them and acts annoyed but she’s honestly happy they’re happy. Don’t feel pressured I just think they’re so cute 😭❤️
Fluff/silliness ahoy~
Somewhat proofread- rated G for good cuddles???? (Short! Atitaya POV and set in canon-verse)
It was a miracle that Atitaya could keep up with the woman.
Her Leader, the Chieftess of Fang, Virana.
Despite her age, she clearly was as nimble as ever as she tore down the hallways of Fang. Fury in her eyes, intention in every step. Mumbling this and that about her daughter, the future Leader of Fang, Princess Namaari.
“I broke her of this bad habit years ago!” She fumed, “Gods, please tell me she isn’t regressing at the age of twenty-two!”
The “bad habit” was sleeping in.
Late.
Being “lazy” as her Mother would put it, sleeping away the morning when she could be up bettering herself or the people of Fang. Instilling the practice in her that she should rise before the sun and be in bed late into the night when the work was done. An exhausting feat- but one they could handle as the two of them were both determined and ambitious enough to pull off the shortened hours of rest.
That- and stubborn.
Namaari used to struggle with this lesson. She used to scramble when the sun had risen and her Mother’s voice carried down the hall, commanding her to rise before the count of ten. Sometimes three if she were particularly testy that day. The Princess barely throwing on her clothes, her boots clumping awkwardly as she fell through the doorway. A sight no one in Fang would ever see, but Atitaya had the pleasure of seeing the young Princess struggle with this nearly every single day.
When her Mother had grown exasperated of teaching the lesson to her again and again, it was Atitaya who was assigned to the task to wake Namaari up and get her into the practice of doing it on her own. A simple chore on paper, however Atitaya had the worst time with it whenever Namaari had hit a growth spurt or the Kingdom was troubled with one issue or the next; her anxiety peaking and keeping her slumber at bay till early morning. Leading Atitaya to resort to physically shaking the girl awake, which could take several long minutes even after that.
Reason why Virana had called for her today. Making her do the physical work so she could save her energy for scolding her child.
They neared Namaari’s bed chambers, Virana’s face as red as a beet as she came to the door. Grabbing ahold of the handle and ripping the door open. Virana’s voice already piercing the air as she stepped inside.
“NA-MAR-“
Silence.
Atitaya had been so busy trying to catch up to Virana, that she didn’t even realize the woman had stopped dead in her tracks. Not until she bumped right into her back, an awkward apology on her lips as she expected her Leader to turn around and scold her as well. But the woman stayed still, frozen in place, while Atitaya just stared at the back of her head in confusion.
Waiting, expecting the words to spill out, and then coming around the woman and further into the room. Seeing then what had stopped her rampage so suddenly.
Namaari was asleep, as expected, but she was not alone.
Which was unexpected.
Even more so- the person who was with her.
Princess Raya, whom Atitaya didn’t even know was visiting, was propped up a bit against Namaari’s headboard. Asleep, head tilted to the side as if she had fallen asleep in the middle of a conversation. In her arms was Namaari, whom rested her entire body into Raya’s embrace. Looking so at peace, sleeping so soundly that Atitaya swore she heard her snore. Not a care in the word, happily allowing Raya to hold her as she slept. The two falling asleep- but God knows for how long. All night? Just this morning?
And how the hell did Raya even get up here?!
Her bag at the window answered that last question, but Atitaya found that while the one question was answered a million more came to mind. All of which had to be pushed aside as Chieftess Virana turned on her heels and retreated out the door. Walking back from whence they came, her step slower now as Atitaya followed after. Shutting the door gently behind her, allowing the two to sleep in peace.
Still, Atitaya asked, “would…you like me to wake them.”
Virana just stared ahead, her hand lightly touching her lips as she contemplated. A tiny twitch in her lips.
Was she-…smiling?
“No, let them sleep.” Virana stated, her tone lighter. Giving Atitaya exactly what she needed to verify how the leader of Fang felt about the Princesses’ recently discovered courtship. Pleased by it.
Atitaya found herself smiling too, happy to see the Chieftess approve.
Truthfully, Namaari had been working nonstop for Fang as of late. Reunification was a welcomed plan for Kumandra, but that didn’t make things any easier. Namaari worked harder these past few months than she ever saw her before, more than anyone Atitaya had ever known as well. Trying to prove herself, for whatever that reason may be, to not only Fang but all of Kumandra.
Seeing her sleep, so at peace as she was with the Princess of Heart? It was nice. Or so Atitaya thought, Virana clearly agreeing as well.
“She seemed relaxed.” Atitaya mentioned, “and…happy-“
Virana forced an eye roll, still her smile did not waiver.
“She had better enjoy it-“ she scoffed, shaking her head amusedly, “she’s still going to get an earful from me later!”

A lil fic where Namaari gets sick and Raya takes care of her because some soft moments are necessary in these trying times ❤️
Just a funny/short snippet- not ideally sick but injured??? (maybe in-canon, maybe not) edit- I also know nothing about concussions but the brief moments I had one.
Raya expects Chau to get hurt.
It was his ‘thing’, despite it being a very unusual ‘thing’ to have. He was the clumsy, uncoordinated one of them all. The kid that was always falling flat on his face, only to pick himself up again and take off on a full sprint. Safe to say, it was a miracle he even made it to the age of seventeen. Raya had a fully stocked first aid kit in several tucked away corners of the house, her car and plenty in her office at the Sisudatu.
So when a grunt echoed out through their backyard, commotion rising, the family frantically rushing inside; it was any wonder that Raya was caught off guard when Chau wasn’t the one who walked in with a knot on his head-..but her wife, Namaari.
“I need every specialist on the floor, now!” Virana screeched as she stormed back and forth across the hospital hallway, barking orders at the nurses and doctors to come help ‘save her child’. Said "child" sitting up, completely fine, leaned into Raya’s embrace as she held an ice pack against her forehead. Icing the large bump there, as well as covering the tiny yet deep gash across it. All of them awaiting the doctor, who would be arriving momentarily to patch her up.
Large emphasis on ‘everyone’.
“Dammit, Raya-..you had us thinking Namaari was dying!” Boun grumbled, arms folded as he and Tong sat back against the wall. The young man pouted much like he did in his younger days, “we almost ran someone over trying to get here!”
“I didn’t say she was dying- Boun!” Raya snapped back, “I said, she was bleeding heavily from her head and that we had to get her to the hospital-!”
“I’m actually fine-” Namaari commented, “really-”
“You really aren’t though, Namaari.” Benja chuckled then, sitting in a chair off to the right of the hospital bed where Namaari was. Sisu at the chair next to him, his grandchildren Chau and Linh piled around him, sitting on the armchairs.
“Regardless-...Raya,  you couldn’t think of any other way to say that-!?” Tong growled, “we were in the middle of a campaign-”
“A campaign…?” Sisu perked up, confused.
“Yes, basically it’s a sophisticated, complex tournament of the-” Tong began, cut short by Linh as she leaned over and spoke to Sisu. Loud enough for all of them to hear.
“It’s literally a board game for nerds..”
“EXCUSE- me…!” Boun huffed, “we are not nerds-...we are the Knights of Eterna..the greatest land of-”
Linh waved her hand, motioning towards them, a mischevious smile on her lips, “I rest my case…nerds”
“That’s not true.” Chau added, “I play it with them all the time-..it’s super fun.". He turned to Sisu then, wanting to convince her most. "Noi even plays it sometimes-" he added, mentioning the only one of them that wasn't here. Both her and even Atitaya on vacation, though different ones with their own families.
Linh rolled her eyes at her brother, “you’re only making my argument more valid…”
“Okay, Chau…Linh-...everyone,” Raya stated, giving them all a look as they tried to argue again, “my bad for not being more specific, but now that you’re all here-..I don’t think we need to make Namaari’s concussion worse by yelling-”
“Yeah, Linh..if Mom dies that’s on you.” Chau teased, nudging his sister with his elbow, “don’t make it worse.”
Linh scrunched her nose up at Chau, fire in her eyes. Clearly feeling bad for the very reason Namaari was in the hospital at the moment. The two practicing her swing in softball, Namaari pitching her the ball while Linh hit it across the yard. Only practicing, not actually knocking it out of the park! Which is what Linh did apparently, too eager to show off her moves, the ball flying straight into Namaari’s head. Knocking her out cold.
“Chau, did Mom ever tell you that you’re adopted?” she said, cocking her head to side in a mocking manner.
Chau's eyebrows knitted together, mouth falling open.
“I am not-!?”
“Sure you are, do you really think your FAT head could come out of Mom’s-”
“Linh.” Raya warned, looking at them both, “and Chau, stop.”
“Yes, Mother- listen to.” Namaari piped, randomly, her voice…off. “Grounded you are.”
A pause, noting the oddness of her words.
“Well-...Namaari’s hit yoda-style speaking,” Boun commented, “it’s all downhill from here.”
“Wait-...seriously!?” Sisu shrieked, “is she gonna die!?”
“Now, now-...don’t jump to conclusions-” Benja laughed.
“I’m fine-...so fine-.” Namaari laughed, sounding delirious then, making the matter worse as the room exploded into conversation and panic. One side freaking out that she actually wasn’t okay, the other trying to convince them that she was fine. Loud, their voices collaborating into one giant sound. Going on and on until-
“Er…excuse me…” a single voice chimed in, silencing them all in one single comment. The group turned, seeing an elderly woman standing in the doorway, a lab coat on and a smile on her lips. Virana, exhausted out of her mind, at her side. Looking as though she had raced all the way across Kumandra and back for the doctor before them. “If you wouldn’t mind…I’m Doctor Fa, if everyone could exit to the visiting area so I can fix up my patient-..everyone of course, but the wife- Leader Raya.” she chirped quite cheerfully, “please and thank you!”
~~~~~~~~~~~
“You think it’s gonna leave a scar, Mom?” Chau asked, pushing her wheelchair along as they left the back room then for the lobby to checkout.
Namaari now all patched up, on some medication for the pain, and ready to go. Doctor cleared her so long as she stayed up through the night, was checked on regularly, and brought back if her condition worsens. She had a concussion, as expected, but she would be fine once the swelling went down. Stitches in, prompting Chau to question the aftereffects of Namaari’s injury.
“I wonder what shape it’ll be…” he contemplated out loud, gasping then, “OH MY GOD-...you could be like HARRY POTTER!?”
Namaari snorted, touching the wrap on her head, wincing slightly as it was still tender. Raya swatting at her hand playfully as she did, giving her a stern look all the same.
“Don’t touch it-” she scolded, “Chau, keep an eye on your Mom while I check her out- make sure she doesn’t fall asleep…or stand up-”
“Raya, I can walk-.” Namaari assured her, earning her a kiss against her cheek from her wife.
“Yes, we know-..and like I told you…three times now, dep la-...Doctor Fa said take it easy and insisted you relax.” she reminded her, “now stay put my love, Chau keep talking to her.”
“You know, Mom- speaking of wizards and stuff…what house do you think I would belong in- I mean, I like the color green but do you really think I belong in Slytherin?- Cause in my opinion I’d assume I should-” Chau began, his voice growing fainter as Raya walked to the front desk. Signing papers, release forms, silently. Happy that the chaos of this day was soon behind them, even though they had a long night ahead of them.
Raya thought she had come alone, only to turn and find Linh at her side. Speaking then to the lady at the front desk.
“Hi, I’m sorry to interrupt you.” she said in an incredibly sweet voice, all proper as she had learned from not only them but from her Grandmother, Virana. Especially around the councils. “I wanted to know about your return policy…?” she asked, dead serious.
“The…return policy..?” the nurse replied, confused.
“Yes, he’s about seventeen years-..” she responded, “I think we had a mix-up at the hospital-...”
At first, Raya was confused, then it hit her.
Oh my God-...
Raya realized what she was saying.
“Not funny, Linh” Raya stated.
Linh pressed back a smile, “worth a shot though-?”
“Sorry-..she doesn’t get out much-..” Raya sighed, forcing a smile at the nurse as she turned her daughter around to leave.
Grateful to be on their way home, done with the hospital.
(for now...)
A fic with this energy:
Raya, in deep denial: but Namaari and I aren’t dating
Namaari, who thought they’d been dating for a month: say what now
Fit's the energy...maybe...ENJOY <3 (rated G for silliness)
“Chief Virana..”
“What is it, General!?”
“I understand you are concerned for the Princess..”
“Yes, and-?!”
“Don’t…you think this is a bit excessive?”
Atitaya knew the comment wasn’t going to be perceived well, especially when their Chief turned from the task she was doing to give her quite a look. Hands hovering, still, over Princess Raya’s head. A tiny injury to the head, dealt to her on the grounds of Fang palace. A total accident, yet Virana had accompanied her at the time and felt completely responsible for it. Rushing the Princess to their healers, all ten of them circled the young woman, while Virana herself bandaged her head. Raya sitting on top of the ‘sick bed’, in the center of them all, looking uncomfortable as ever; yet didn’t dare say a word about it.
“It’s an injury to the head, General.” Chief Virana spoke, roughly, narrowing her eyes at her. “Head injuries, especially dealt with in this matter, are to be taken seriously!”
“Your Majesty, it was just a staff…a child’s training tool.” she explained, “the boy’s have apologized profusely-”
“It was still a blow to the temple!” Chief Virana argued as she tapped the side of her own head, “imagine if this affected her skills..or worse, her memory!”
The General went to speak, only for the Princess to take the reigns of the conversation.
“Chief Virana, I appreciate your concern..but I do feel fine.” Raya insisted, smiling sheepishly as another healer approached her and studied the pupils in her eyes. “It’s nice to know if anything ever does happen, I’ll have all the help I could ever possibly need here.”
The Chief seemed to calm significantly at her words, a small trace of a smile on her lips. Much to Atitaya’s relief. However, before that issue could be settled, another one burst into the room. Stirring up another whirlwind of panic into the room over the tiny injury, the Princess of Fang marching in faster than Atitaya had ever seen her move before.
“Raya!” Namaari heaved, clearly out of breath, “are you okay?”
Behind her came Sisudatu, in her human form, also out of breath.
“I….found….Na-....maari!” she sputtered out, “you’re….all…..welcome!”
Princess Namaari rushed to Raya’ side, sitting down on the bed she was occupying. Trying to examine the injury despite it being wrapped, concern all over her face. Matching the look her Mother had not even five minutes ago.
“Raya, how is your head feeling-” she began, reaching for her hands.
Only no sooner had her hands touched Raya’s, the woman pulled them away. A look of confusion filled her face, her eyes wary as she looked Princess Namaari up and down as if she were a total stranger. Inching back, despite the fact the two of them had been together for nearly three months now. Young lovers, brought together after all the chaos that happened between them.
“I-...I’m sorry..” Princess Raya carefully said, “who…are you?”
The color drained from Namaari’s face, matching her Mother’s who gasped and rushed from the room, calling for the healers to follow as they rushed to find help. A deeper kind of help, a more advanced healer, a specialist in that matter-...anything! Meanwhile Princess Namaari, Sisudatu and Princess Raya seemed to be struck still in the moment. Sisudatu’s face saddened, panicked, as she most likely wondered if Raya’s memory had affected their friendship. Namaari’s face was unreadable, however Atitaya knew her mind was spiraling. Realizing that her lover no longer remembered her, devastation was clear all over her face.
It wasn’t till the General looked at Raya, noticing the twitch in her lip, did she realize the whole thing was complete and utter shit.
“This girl is going to be the death of us.” Atitaya thought, rolling her eyes, forcing back a smile.
Raya shot her hand out, grabbing Namaari by the front of her shirt, tugging her until their lips connected. Firm, loving, and when they pulled back Raya was wearing a shit-eating grin. Namaari, dumbfounded, her eyes wide and face full of confusion. And then, ever slowly, realization.
“You-!” she hissed.
“I’m sorry!” Raya laughed, “I couldn’t help it!”
“My Mother is on her way to call for every healer in Fang!”
“The timing was so perfect though, she had JUST said my memory could be affected and-”
“That’s not funny..RAYA.”
“You’re right…it’s not..” Sisu piped in, the others turning to see the woman’s face bright red. At first they thought it was because she was crying, but it was clear after a second or so that this was not the reason. The dragon girl was laughing, trying to hold it back for Namaari’s feelings, and now she was busting up as the others turned to look at her. Finding Raya’s joke hilarious while Namaari could only glare at the two of them.
“It’s hilarious!” she finished, cackling loudly.
Namaari’s face flushed red, annoyed and pouting then, even when Raya tugged her closer to wrap her arms around her. The Princess of Fang keeping that sour look on her face as she waved towards Atitaya.
“Can you please find my Mother and tell her Raya is absolutely fine.” she huffed, “just being an idiot as always.”
“Awww, but I’m your idiot?” Princess Raya teased.
Atitaya bowed at the given order, turning to leave as she too forced down a smile. Especially when she glanced back and saw the tiniest twitch in Namaari’s lips. The Princess, no matter how hard she tried to hide it, smiled at those words.
