you know what. i think varric's centrism could have served as a way to create a character whose beliefs are heavily influenced by player's choices (and in inquisition it is actually the case at some point, his opinion about recruiting/conscripting the mages/templars depends on who hawke has supported in da2) and it actually could have been an interesting theme, but it has never been explored properly. his centrism has never backfired. his attitude has always been portrayed as "he is everyone's friend" thing, not "he can tolerate injustice and hate crimes to a certain level" thing and it makes me so, so mad, because centrism is not about being on good terms with everyone, it's about turning a blind eye and being a coward

by far the most infuriating moment in my disco elysium playthrough was (spoiler warning) when i encountered the phasmid, i had a 97% inland empire roll to talk to it, but somehow the roll FAILED. whats worse, at the moment where i could step away and engage it again before it left, I literally had a skill point free to unlock the check and retry but I FUMBLED WITH MY CLICKING (because it was like 1am) and it left. i missed my chance. my only time in the game failing a check over like 75% and it was that one. fuck’s sake. it was so funny

i love how, after spending a week with harry's antics and then finding out he used to be a gym teacher, kim just goes for the conclusion that gym teachers are just superhuman like that

26 — Character you’re most similar to: The MC from An Everyday Love. I too am stressed and want to become an author OTL Also “It’s too early in the morning to talk to attractive people” and “I will take my disappointing ass and leave...” and “Adorable/Adorable/Adorable” and PLAY AN EVERYDAY LOVE!!

27 — Create an OC!: Well I did create a game so I think that counts ;) I really like chaotic OCs so I’m looking forward to making content with more of those (and also ace ocs... all the ace ocs...)

28 — Fondest memory: There are too many small moments in each game to just pick one O.O I particularly love ~romantic tension~ and humour

29 — Yandere: I just can’t vibe with yanderes. It’s not my thing, and I’ll never write a character like that, but to each their own 

30 — Favourite game: Hmm well I did answer this with 17, but aside from indie games, even though Girlish Love Revolution is problematic (like so many otome games, let’s be real) and a stat-raiser (not really my thing), I found the protagonist really likeable & have a lot of nostalgia for it. I still need to play most of the big name otome games lol

31 — Favourite LI: 707 ♥ I love funny & sarcastic characters like Alistair, TFTBL Rhys, Garrus, and Geralt which is why I tend to prefer English games, as translating that humour can be difficult at times. Lord Laurence Amesbury from The Lady’s Choice, Bloomic’s xyx, Mr. Bandages from Halloween Otome, and Veris from Heroine for Hire are all top contenders as well.

And the ultimate question... if I were to play TSP as a totally non-biased player who would I pick... I think I’d be stuck between Flint & Lark. As much as I love Rico, he’s probably a little too passionate for me. I’m more about that low-key life B-)

i think if you're a disco elysium fan you should take advantage of your resources n scrub through fayde and the de explorer tools because its a great way to refresh yourself about canon facts and interactions of the game when you dont feel like playing. seriously i think the reason ive been obsessed wit this game for so long now is because you dont have to replay it in order to return to the source!! of course you should absolutely play it if you have the ability to but sometimes i dont have the energy to start a new game just to do a questline when all im doing is looking for a single voice file. we really are spoiled to have these features like seriously do you think about how cool that is?? to have such a dialogue heavy game and have it all easy to recall and navigate??

also its a great way to find out random facts like how harry was shot at four times and hit twice or how cindy has a little brother or how the coalition warship archer can watch children build a snowman by a pond or liliennes twins can recite speedfreak patter from memory also echem encourages them to say fuck harry comes to the conclusion that his wirral race is the deworgr and kim replies he's "always more of a sidhe or huldur guy myself." and when egghead feels soona disengage the mute from the swallow in the church he feels "in his mind, a tidal wave approaching from afar, swallowing entire coastlines on its way… salvation." are you normal because im normal are you normal because im normal
