- OUVGHGR idk I think that kind of depends on your definition of happy ending..... wednesday morning is cute changes upon changes is cute prodigal I definitely was writing the end like "this is so silly and sappy. POST!" but like idk I'm largely tired with pointless angst personally. like I'm okay with things sucking really bad for our heroes in the middle but ending a story on an upward trajectory is important to me when I'm writing

- sometimes people say weird stuff about della in my comments and it makes me mad because she is just some guy

- no I'd rather lock my barbies in the house and then shake it and yell EARTHQUAKE than make them kiss or heaven forbid.... anyway I have more important things to be doing personally

- ummmm like I've written some stuff in French before because I'm proficient in it but I always heavily double check everything I've written so idk. I keep it to a couple lines at maximum because I'm not super comfortable with it

- there isn't a way to answer this that isn't incredibly embarrassing so I guess that time I wrote a self insert character who was kind of weird and not like anybody else and got sorted into ravenclaw (I was eleven)

favorite fic you've ever written?

- oh how to choose! if I've posted it in the last two years I like it. I reread prodigal the most and people seemed to like it a lot but whenever I reread Wednesday Morning 3AM I'm like wait this rocks. wed3am is like my eldest daughter carved immaculately from marble that I forget exists and prodigal is the son I worship despite his formatting errors (they are part of the charm I'm not fixing them. I'm too stubborn)

Important Announcement and Updates

Hello everyone, Smite here!

Dear readers of my blog, loyal followers, writer friends and everyone in between, I got some news for y'all. Things will change and partially already have and I feel like I should give a heads up about it in a single post so you're not confused as to what has happened.

But first of a word from our sponsor a big thank you for the insane Notes-Totals on my last couple of fics. There is a lot of 900+ and already a fuckton of love for "Just Testing", and leaving aside all the nonsense I wrote in this fic, I'm still very grateful for the support. Thank you!

Now to the upcoming changes/wtf is actually happening:

1. I will take an (warning, evil words ahead) indefinite hiatus from writing fics in the manner I did in the past/up until now.

What does this mean?

"Are you retiring? Are you going to delete your stories? Are you not going to be online/active in Discord anymore?"

NO, NO and NO.

I have no plans to (ever) retire and if I would, a 31some would look pitiful it would be with a feeling of certainty and geniune satisfaction (at least I hope so).

I just need a break from this neck-breaking pace of forcing every ounce of horniness and creativity from my head onto the Docs to the point where it's all just a mush of nudity, sex and filth and words and chaos... I'm losing grip on wtf I write at times.

This hiatus is to reset myself, to test other things without feeling forced to post them or at least something just to be on a streak, just to push that number higher and higher. I will def continue creative writing, just don't expect me to post it cuz it won't be all kpop.

BASICALLY: Stories will be released, but they will be rarer and most likely longer and hopefully still to your liking, from a story and smut perspective (unless it's full-on fluff/angst).

2. Uni will come like three big waves and during the strongest fucking tsunami, I have to do a boatload of other things on top. I'll be busy, I need to be focused, failure is not an option. Freeing myself from the (internalized) pressure of "having to post a fic this week" will help me to push through this mess.

I'll miss you when exams start and I'll come back to you, don't worry.

3. MoA will continue until Part 100, then there will be a two year special (because dayum, that's how long I am doing this already) and before/after the special, MoA will enter a new phase:

Instead of doing an appreciation post every Monday, I will do MoA's whenever I've read one to five stories that I want to appreciate. They will pop up every now and then, in different formats, to show you what I read and enjoy and who you should follow for more good stuff.

My intention with MoA was always to appreciate something, never to exclude someone or tell them that their writing id bad because they have been featured less than others. I want to continue this with more heart than before, so I'm going to break out from the regular pattern after Part 100.

4. Regarding the update I send a while back with all the series' and stuff: I still have intentions to keep my promise and write them, just with less urgency and pressure. The final request from back in January 2022 (lol) will also be written.

I will try my best, I thank you for your patience.

5. The final part of L4 and another fic are big guarantees to be released soon, so get ready, cuz I won't hold back. Remember: I'M STILL HERE! I GOT A LOT OF STUFF...

Notes: Okay so LOL, this was written for the prompt "flinching" for Day 2 of. uhm. Febuwhump. Yes, 2023. I DID FINISH IT (barely) BEFORE FEBUWHUMP 2024 AT LEAST, RIGHT???? But BUT, extra funny? This is also for @cha-melodius, who inspired this with a comment that she left on a fic way back in drum roll MARCH 2022! So here you go everyone, if you've sent a prompt in my inbox ages ago and I never filled it, never give up, you don't know the length that my stubborness will go to when I decide that something Must Be Finished! LOOOL So, yeah. Have fun with this totally-on-time-in-every-way piece of whump!

He walks back in with no little hesitance, a bottle of water and a sandwich at hand. Though he can see her eyes running in his direction, testifying that she did notice his entrance, she doesn’t turn to him, nor does she acknowledge him in any other way.

That is probably the best reaction he is going to get from her, so he swallows and steps forward, holding out his offerings with no explanation.

It’s been a while, she needs to drink and eat something, or she’s going to crash at some point. He’s worried about her, though how he can spare enough space in his mind to worry about anything other than Solo at the moment is a mystery to himself before anyone else.

Gaby gives him a look that isn’t the least bit benevolent, but she accepts the water and the food, taking them from him and turning away like he isn’t there at all. He can’t spare the energy to be offended, and he certainly doesn’t blame her for not wanting anything to do with him.

Her screams are still echoing in his ears as he sits down, at more distance from her than would probably necessary. The look on her face when he told her is burned in his eyes, the way she went from worry, fussing over his graze as soon as Solo was out of their sight and she noticed the blood gushing out of his arm, to horror followed closely by disdain—he remembers her taking a step back, her hands still hovering between them for a few moments, and then there was only screaming.

He got out of her face when ordered to do so, numbly finding someone to take care of his stupid little wound just because he wasn’t sure he could bear to be alone with his head.

It was such a stupid mistake, and it’s going to cost them their partner’s life.

Top 5 works I'm proud of: one of my top 5 is currently a wip. The rest:

fire close to the heart (platonic sciles)  I just liked that I finally made a fic where Stiles is saving Scott. (It's messy and I love it.)

Inked (Scott + Lydia, gen)  I look back at it and see i should have done some stuff differently but! Tattoos are so interesting and I wanted platonic scydia feels and I got that. I love them.

A Werewolf Heat (sciles)   this was another experiment with smut. tho I didn't go that deep into it as much as I wanted to and I keep saying I might continue it 😂 and I DO think about that. A lot. Every time I write lol. But honestly I want to do another that is so much better than that one? From my reread, it needs editing. it got way more love in kudos and in comments (in my opinion) than I expected. and I was so proud. I also love when fics talk about heats. Its werewolves! Especially with Scott! Why not take advantage of that. And I tried! 🥰

A Visit (kira pov)  I don't know why but I'm so happy about this one. It was the first time I wrote for kira. Maybe it was the first fic I did research with too (altho I kept it to teen wolf's interpretation of skin walkers mostly). This was a gift for momentofmemory 🧡

2. 4 current WIPS (many may not get posted before new year tho)

A fanart for an existing fic. I may have to redraw kira since she's very close to the frame and I want to center more attention on her too.

A fluffy Getting Together Malira fic

Fic with Rafael. I have two that I'm thinking to combine. This focused a lot on Scott too, so I'm contemplating to save it for Scott appreciation.

Sekret fic. That I hope gets finished before the year ends.

3. Three biggest improvements in writing/art

I'm getting comfortable drawing hands and bodies! (Art) I refused to draw those before.

I think my grammar is getting slightly better. Or at least, I worry about it less. Which is MAJOR for me.

the wips listed above and outside it is showing me that I am capable of indulging more. It's fanfic after all.

4. Top 2 resolutions for blog/writing?

Write more fic that goes out of my comfort zone. (Sciles is awesome and I will still write them a lot, but I want to explore different characters and other ships that I like too. Like Scisaac, Scydia, Jennifer/Kali, Malira, some POLYSHIPS, Lydia centric stuff, etc. Those are examples, and I don't promise anything.)

An art resolution would be to practice lighting and shading some more!

Im gonna skip the last question because that's hard. My favorite is in one of my WIPS.

I don't know if you've seen the new pic Kibum posted, but if you're online I'm sure you've seen the drama about it now...

I don't get it though, usually Key will say himself when he posts something if it shouldn't be shared, so I wonder if even he didn't see a problem with it at first? Why is one picture such a problem? Is Taemin not allowed to exist in public while enlisted?

This isn't a dig at Baekhyun cause I'm glad he was able to do these things, but didn't he have youtube videos coming out while enlisted? And I know he was all over his verified twitter all the time? How is just one picture different than that? Is it cause of the platform? Even though its not Taemin's bubble and he makes no money from it? Would their be so much drama if it had been posted to instastories?

I saw people saying there were articles, but there were articles written when Taemin went to Keys show?

I dunno where I'm getting with this, other than enlistment is confusing, I hope Key and Taemin in particular are okay, and I can't wait for this overlong awful enlistment to be over...

I have Bubble so I received the scolding directly via text! That was a shocker, lol. I'll give you my unvarnished opinion on this but as a warning, I'm going to be brutally honest about all of it. You're asking completely legit questions here.

The situation is nuanced, and I think for a lot of fans just the idea that they did something Kibum didn't like and felt the need to tell everyone off about was enough to either upset them or make them scared and 'fall in line." I deleted the posts I made and then I reflected because I never share Bubble content. But this time I made an exception — why did I do that? Because EVERYONE did.

So this is my opinion (don't take it as gospel because I have no access to anyone's thoughts). I think Key misjudged the reaction to that photo and how berserk everyone would go. He sees Taemin all the time; we haven't seen his entire face since his birthday in 2022 (lol). And, we've had virtually no communication from him in almost two years. "We" went nuts. Can anyone blame us? No. But Bubble is a paid service, and Kibum always reminds us not to share his shit. I never share anyone's shit publicly anyhow, but again it was ubiquitous, so I joined in. See the problem?

He had every right to get mad and remind of his boundaries and Bubble policy (there are financial penalties you can face for sharing stuff too btw). I also think he probably felt remorse over sending it in the first place since he likely misjudged what would happen. Is it all about breaking Bubble policy? No. And I don't think it's all about him being annoyed at fans breaking his trust either.

Baekhyun did have a personal YouTube account that he setup himself to use to communicate with fans during enlistment. It's my understanding he did this as a way to keep in touch without it having any links to promo/work. But, do you remember how he had to delete it all, and then he came online to tell us it's okay etc? I think that SM caught wind of extra scrutiny on people doing civil service enlistment, and it was a precaution. I also think this is why they've cooled it on Taemari, and it could be one of many reasons why Taemin stopped doing any posts at all. I'm not saying it's THE reason, but I think it's likely a factor.

There is a lot of criticism of celebrities who do civil service enlistment, and that criticism was present before the investigation involving Ravi and others came to light. People have been criticizing the option for years, saying it's how celebrities get out of doing "actual" service (let's put aside arguments about why that's wrong/insane, etc). Instead, put yourself in Taemin's shoes. He started service one way and is finishing it another. Wouldn't you want to avoid public ire and scrutiny over how you're spending your time in enlistment, ie. "living it up" etc. In my opinion, that's the worry over the photo being everywhere and now in news articles.

Why is the concert different? He went with Lee Soo-Man on the non-Beyond Live day as a private citizen, he kept his face covered the entire time—he even dressed low key. I have the same shirt that he wore (lol, imagine my surprise) except it's the branded version. He wore the non-branded version. Though he did have a Prada bag so maybe my argument falls apart but it wasn't like, in your face, was it? Anyhow, I hope you'll see my point. When he went to that soccer game, Jimin and Sungwoon were also there but they were in a fancy box. He did not sit in the box - he was just with the regulars in the stands. It wouldn't look so good to be in a fancy private box when you're supposed to be serving in the military, would it?

When Minho served, whenever he called Taemin he said he could never show his face. He was allowed to call him on VLives (or comment, lol) but he said specifically he can't show his face. They even argued about it. To bring this full circle, Bubble is a paid promotional, parasocial service. Even though for Kibum, sharing the photo is "private," it's still part of his work as an idol. So technically Taemin was in paid content. Is it a big deal? I really don't think it is (also is he definitely not discharged already?! o.O) so no one should feel sad or bad or whatever. Next time anyone shares anything on Bubble, I know it won't get shared. That's just how the fans roll. There's a level of respect here that is a breath of fresh air tbh.

Why is Baekhyun on Twitter whenever he wants but we don't hear from Taemin often? Personal choice. And that's a choice to be respected. It's not our business unless he chooses to share. Existential perspectives aside, we're part of "work" and the man is not in work nor getting paid for it right now, so he doesn't need to do shit. lol.

October 1: “I chose you.”

“Do you regret it?”

They are at the local park, sitting on swings that are clearly not intended for people their age, and enjoying fresh cones of ice creams.

Mary takes a small bite from her scoop of black licorice and turns her head towards him. “What?”

“Leaving Cheonliang.” Vin elaborates, licking his own passion fruit and mango flavored scoop, “Do you regret it?”

She nearly scoffs. Lately– No– Ever since his return from that den of Workers or whatever crew he had told her about, he's been asking this a lot. Do you miss Cheonliang? Wanna go back for a while? Seoul guys aren't all that attractive, right? Rephrasing and changing words but asking the same thing over and over everyday as if expecting her to respond differently. Say something she hasn't said before. But she won't give him the answer he needs unless he stops being a coward and asks her outright.

And that's exactly what she tells him. “You won't get the right answer if you keep asking the wrong question.”

Vin hums and kicks the ground lightly with his feet, making the swing motion back and forth a little. Then, with his head cocked away from her, he mutters in a hesitant tone. “Do you regret coming with me?”

She smiles. So this is what's been bothering him.

She has no idea what he encountered inside that game ring because he has yet to talk properly about it. That, and he's just bad when it comes to explanations in general. Nonetheless, he has changed since that day he came back. It's astounding for her to admit this to herself but he's been less idiotic and more…focused? Almost as if preparing to face something dreadful that is bound to happen soon. Which is probably why he's so concerned. He's worried that he'll drag her into the mess and that she'll suffer all over again. Just like she did back in Cheonliang.

“I don't regret it.” She says, taking another bite from her ice-cream, savoring the bitterness of licorice.

“Why?” He whips his head at her now.

She isn't sure so she shrugs her shoulders and utters the first thought that pops up in her mind. “Cause we're friends.”

“Mary,” He lowers his head, dark locks falling over his sunglasses. “You're not obligated to be friends with a murderer.”

“Is that so?” She says in a singsong teasing voice, eyes following the melting trail created by his ice-cream going down the cone, and even further down his fingers.

He doesn't say anything.

“I chose you.” She declares firmly. “It was either Cheonliang or you. So I made my choice. And I do not regret coming with you.”

“Mary–”

“Ohh god! Clean this!” She points at the dripping yellow ice-cream and throws her piece of napkin at him before he can spout some sappy lines about how grateful he is to have her.

Vin scoffs in amusement as he catches the napkin. “Alright.”

DOES THIS SOUND LIKE YOU? even if u don't have adhd and just forget abt what you have in ur fridge, this guide might help you!!!

(sorry for the low quality pics, i was lazy)

first! find a whiteboard! i was using this one for outlining a novel but im done w it now!

clean that sucker off! now find some whiteboard/dry erase markers!

excellent! you've got what u need now!

NOW. u know t-charts? the kind that teachers love to make u draw and everyone would freak out bc they didnt have a ruler and it wouldn't be perfectly straight? yea we're gonna draw one of those on our whiteboards!

mark one side as "Fridge" and the other with "Freezer" (assuming you have a freezer!)

and then over towards the center line on the right, write down "Expiry Date" or something along those lines

this is the hard part :(

go thru EVERYTHING in your fridge and write down every single item! leave the veggies + fruit until last!

(i wrote down chopped garlic bc it's in a jar and lasts a long time)

now at the bottom put the veggies and fruit!

write down "purchased" instead of expiry date! fruit+veg go bad quite quickly (and sometimes dont have best before dates written on them) so thats why i do it differently!

now go down your top list of food products and find the expiry dates on all your items! write those down to the right!

if the date is passed, decide whether it is still good. if it is no good, toss it :( if it's still edible, write down the due date and make sure you know it's from THIS year. (i put a little /20 to show it's from 2020)

if the due date is like two years from now, just write down the year lol (ex. maple syrup - 2022)

if the due date is next year, make sure u know that but still write down the proper due date w month + day! (i write mar 08/21 for example (march 8, 2021))

next step is to write down when you bought those veggies (or at least a good guess)

ur board should look smth like this (probably MUCH longer, i just did this as an example lol)

good? alright NEXT STEP. which due dates are past? mark those with a RED chunky line!

which due dates are this month/soon? mark those with an ORANGE thin line!

which veggies were bought a couple weeks ago? mark those w a RED line! (depends on the veg/fruit! know how long ur stuff is good for!)

which veggies were bought a week ago? mark those w an ORANGE line! (same bracketed sentence as above lol)

here's my example! (today is Sept 6, 2020)

next we're going to do the freezer!

unpack that babey especially if she's FULL!! we want to see every piece of her!! no items hidden!

write down EVERYTHING you have in there! i dont worry too much about expiry dates because it's frozen and i usually use everything up within a couple months of the initial freezing LOL

instead of expiry dates, i write amount! for instance, if i have three english muffins frozen up in there, I'll write "English Muffins x3"

if I have one and a half pounds of ground beef, I'll write down "Gr Beef 1 1/2 lbs" and maybe also a purchase date since meat does go bad faster :(

if the amount isnt important or I don't really know it (like a bag of berries) then I'll just leave it blank! no big dealio! 😊

then I'll put a red or orange mark next to whatever i need to use up soon bc it's been sitting in the freezer for a while!

here's an example pic in case u need it!!

(the 1/2 lb of gr beef is circled bc i have two packages that need to be used, one is 1 lb and the other is a half pound, and i know the half pound needs to be used soon but not the 1 pound!)

The reason I do this on a whiteboard is bc it's easier for multiple colours PLUS the biggest thing: ERASING! changing! and if i make a mistake? just erase and write it again LOL
