Still thinking of Silvio, just buried under a pile of children. Very likely all boys. Each time, Emma is hoping it'll be a girl. Just one girl. The first kid isn't planned and he has a bit of a breakdown about it. Silvio learns how to braid hair just for his daughter. He loves bringing back all sorts of items from his trips overseas, different books and toys and artifacts. Carlo is accidentally like a second uncle (Emidio is completely blocked from meeting the kids). It takes a lot of convincing to allow Silvio's father to see the grandkids, and is only allowed with strict supervision for a short amount of time.

Silvio play fights with his kids all the time, often pretending to be a pirate. Or they'll act as the pirates while he's the dashing prince coming to save the kidnapped princess, Emma. He teaches them how to swordfight (including fighting dirty....) and takes it upon himself to show them how to work and command a boat.

Silvio, who's struggled with being honest with his feelings for so long and couldnt really be honest because that'd make him vulnerable, working so hard to overcome that for you and his kids. He tries his best to tell you and his kids how much he loves you guys. He really struggles with it, muttering it for a while, face red, blurting it out in a shout sometimes. But he improves with it. He wants to make sure his kids always feel wanted, in a way he never got to.

The first time he holds his first baby, his jewelry gets in the way, between baby trying to put a pendant in their mouth and Silvio almost accidentally hitting his kid with his heavy chain. He spends a long time after the birth of his first kid dressed down without his usual bling, and it's the most casual and least flashy the palace staff have ever seen him. Sometimes he has spit-up stains but of course they're scared to mention it to him unless he's going to an important meeting or something.

He puts his kids to bed with stories about his trips on the seas, the kinds of people he's met, countries he's visited, rare treasures and new creatures he's found. Usually they're enraptured by his stories. But once in a while, they surprise him by preferring your storybooks to his experiences, getting him upset that some fictional story is more captivating than his real life experience, making him pout for the next week.

I like human geography so here’s what I think the major religions of each Nation coming from someone who is semi knowledgeable ab the major religion

Obsidian is basically a weird west euro combo but mainly it’s germany me thinks so their main religion is Catholicism most likely orthodox catholic. Very nice churches i bet their stained glass goes hard since most of the colors are monochromatic. I don’t think gilbert is too religious probably agnostic

Benitoite is italy and therefore catholic do i even need to explain why? it’s probably stronger faith the closer you get to the coast. Silvio carries a rosary I think, again i don’t think either of the benitoite bros are really into religion but I think it’s more of they pray to protect what they have.

With their solemn and equally terrifying captain, Chevalier who oversees his bunch of lawless brigands abide by the contract or else don't get caught. Don't ever engage in direct combat with his fleet.

Clavis is the quartermaster, during the Golden Age of Piracy this was the highest ranking pirate on a ship under the captain, usually elected by the crew. The quartermaster was the only officer on a ship who could veto a captain’s decision, but only when the ship was not engaged in battle or on a mission. This rapscallion is a wild card, difficult to control, has to be strictly supervised to deter from causing all manner of nautical misbehavior but he's always onto something. All the captives are under his supervision... Some destinies are worse than death.

Nokto appraises the goods values and is the one in charge of dealings, negotiations, pricing and reselling. Also paperwork.

Luke is the errand boy whenever they are at port. He is also the cleaning lad but don't be surprised to find he has enormous strength from doing all that sea man work.

DOMESTIC FACTION

Sailors. Honest to goodness sailors. The Royal Navy.

Leon, this charismatic swashbuckler is the captain of the Crown Fleet. He is easy-going but takes his job very seriously. If they ever happen to pass Chevaliers ship they'll definitely exchange annoyed glances.

Jin is the second in command, this shameless carouser enjoys festivity and especially the riotous drinking once on land. He knows his bitches in every port.

Licht is the lookout. He knows how to read the weather and sea and has very good eyesight. Being up there also gives him some much needed alone time from all the noise Jin is steering with the crew.

Yves is the cook. The first time he was introduced someone in the crew was reluctant to accept him on board saying women on ships bring bad luck. Yves was definitely outraged at that remark but rest assured he became an absolute essential to the crew, anytime he's absent Licht is left to cook and we know how that turns out, pray to the gods someone is there to save the ship from burning.

Sariel is the king's emissary, he communicates his majesty's wishes to the captain and anything paperwork related is to him. His inspections aren't without scrutiny, usually Jin is the one getting a scolding word.

PIRATES

Lawless brigands whose name is feared far and wide. Ruthless and unforgiving like the tempest seas, they bow to no man.

Silvio or as some call him Silver, he's... Well actually, I lied. Silvio is not a pirate but a merchant growing his empire of trade and influence. Let's just say that to do that he has the morals of a large corporation, that is, he has the human rights violations as a checklist.

Keith is a savage pirate you wouldn't want to cross paths with. He committed all manner of atrocities without batting an eye. His ship mostly sails tropical seas and is very difficult to track as it hides in the mist and uses the weather to sail unnoticed. He's very good in dealing with poisons and has a pet bird on his shoulder, Dill.

Gilbert's face is the universal symbol of death and destruction :D scourge of the seven seas, World's Calamity, and prominent glutton, this pirate sails an Obsidian black ship, incredibly military advanced and commands a ruthless crew. Despite the considerable size of his ship it's difficult to predict what route he's going to intercept (making him a constant nuisance to Silvio). Maaaaybe tried to kidnap Emma... more than once. You're not safe. Not even on land.

That said, you never know from where or when he's coming but when you see the dark flag, it's already too late.

For the most part, everything about his daughter resembles you. Same nose shape, same laugh, same smile, same love of books even (that's partially his fault, he will admit to that)

Honestly it relieves him to know how much she resembles you

Clavis is her favorite uncle. Chev is... distraught, at first. However, although he would never say so in words (because it's unnecessary), he trusts his daughter implicitly in the hands of his fool of a brother.

After a long trip to outer territories or visiting other countries, Chev isn't truly home until he's seen both you and his daughter.

Late night snack making. If you're up, you might scold them for being up late, but Chev just gives her a Look.

She sleeps like a log, and also is not a morning person, much like her father. When she's little, she sleeps with Chev and they can be found bundled in the blankets together, fast asleep. Double the glare if you try to wake them up.

Chev will do her hair along with yours if you want to, or sometimes just as a quiet bonding moment.

You might catch him reading to her in his private library, though beware his anger if you interrupt his story 😬

Chev is so so soft with her as a baby. He's uncomfortable holding her alone for a long time, between lack of experience, but also knowing his hands have killed and will kill again if needed. With plenty of your reassurance, it eventually gets easier for him.

She’s never seen him dig one, but she just knows.

She’ll be on a stroll through the gardens with Yves and Licht or Jin and Leon.

She won’t warn the others either because she can’t possibly do that to Clavis and spoil his efforts.

Whoever is walking with her never catches on that she’s never fallen in with them before, or the fact that she expertly walks the perimeter of the pitfall before returning to the center of the path they had been walking on.

On the very special occasion where she is allowed to join Chevalier on his walk (as long as she doesn’t talk to him), they both dodge the pitfall, walking around either side while meeting each other’s gaze.

A silent understanding is reached. They share the uncanny ability of knowing at all times where Clavis’s traps are. Chevalier respects Emma slightly more.

Clavis will watch from the faction’s office, a fake grin plastered across his face.

He’s displeased that there is another person who can evade his traps, yet also quite impressed.

Perhaps he needs to think further outside the box.

If she felt insecure about it at any point, he would likely call her a fool for thinking such silly things and reminding her that he doesn't fall for just any woman on the street.

This is further reinforced when she may just catch a glimpse of a proud smirk on his visage when she is faced with any backlash from others, very easily putting them in her place without his help.

Yes, she may prove to be a very intriguing and worthy partner indeed.

That's quite the bold look. He approves.

He would never admit it right away, but he found it suited her rather well. And coming from the Fifth Prince that meant something.

If he said something suited her, it meant it suited her without a doubt.

He probably wouldn't really bring it up often, except if he was being rude, like the first time they met, he had made an insensitive comment about her shaved head. But trust and believe he will feel absolutely awful about it for the next six months.

Licht once caught him hitting his head on a pillar muttering "Stupid, stupid Yves!" over and over...

How would Chevalier, Clavis and Gilbert react to an mc who loves hands? Like mc tries to remove the gloves to hold their hand or play around (like poking at their hand or drawing on it). And if they also did that to the other people besides their lover, how would the three react?

He likes to entertain your ‘unusual fascination’, as he calls it, but it always comes at a price

Never anything particularly big but he'll leave you to be the one to have to take his gloves off his hands and will stare you down while you're doing it. He finds trying to see if your fascination outweighs your discomfort with him just looking at you look at his hands or taking your hand in his out of nowhere and holding your hands close to your cheek as if he’s debating whether to brush his thumb across the skin, incredibly amusing

He finds it somewhat endearing, especially if your hands are smaller than his because he finds the difference in the size of your hands and his amusing alongside your boldness

He also thoroughly enjoys the feeling of holding your hands which he makes a habit of doing as you walk together but would never admit it, acting like he's indifferent to the whole thing and that it’s only natural

It makes him feel unusually sentimental as well. He who had never considered the possibility of being able to cherish a human life, who has never been able to have someone look at his hands which have caused more harm than good to people with such fascination as if they have never come close to causing you harm before

Drawing on his hands is where he has to stop you however. Try and take his pen while he’s working and he’ll pin both of your hands to the desk with one hand while he continues with his work. It’s both a ploy to get you to settle down and also to hear you ramble or watch you squirm in an attempt to annoy him enough to get him to let you go. You won’t succeed

Don’t even try and mess with anyone else’s hands and certainly not Clavis’ or Gilbert’s when they notice your fascination. No one will question him - Clavis included - when he takes you away to be alone with you

Clavis

You already know he takes this as an opportunity to tease you because that’s what he perceives all of your little habits to be of use to him specifically for aside from the fact that he finds it both adorable and hilarious

He has a leg fixation, he won’t judge. He actually encourages you, going on about wanting a gentle touch to help him with his gloves, holding your hand constantly as though he’s putting his own on display

Drawing or writing on his hand will encourage him to do the same. You might have to fight for space on his hand because once he realises he can just do that, and no one will care, he is writing all of the time all over them and you’ll be greeted with his newest ideas for traps or intentions for new trade routes

Beyond the teasing, he finds it really relaxing actually, with how much he uses his hands either to fight or to write, so it’s quite pleasant to have you poke and prod at his hands, taking the gloves off and kneading the skin between his knuckles on occasion

The more you do it, the more intimate it feels to him. Not sexually but generally. He has a tendency of reading a little too much into things when he’s been overworked and exhausted, so at some point, it feels like you’re ridding him of of the blood on his hands when you take his gloves off

When you hold his hands gently (almost critically) uncaring of what those hands have done, both to entertain yourself and pull him away from what was to become another one of many all nighters, he gets a little soft

Please don’t even think of going near Chevalier. Not only will he attempt to cut you down where you stand, Clavis’ pride will immediately act up and he will do the equivalent of confiscate your hands

They are going to stay held in his in an extremely petty display for however long he sees fit which is both unfortunate and not because he would gladly drag you around forever if he could

He won’t mind so much if it’s other people, finding their reactions hilarious, but he has his limits

Gilbert

Please obsess over his hands it makes him unusually happy. He’s elated at any display of affection from you but to have you so openly fascinated is delightful

He doesn’t think it strange in any way really, just another little thing that he’s going to mentally note down about you as he so often does

He actually encourages this little interest of yours, making a show of taking off his gloves or putting them on whenever it’s just the two of you (even when it isn’t when the people who aren’t you are the Rhodolite, Jade or Benetoite princes) to draw attention to his hands as if the design of his gloves doesn’t do that enough

It’s incredibly disarming to be treated so gently every though you’ve done so so many times before. People are scared to so much as shake his hand but you will hold it between your own, trace the creases and caress the skin, kissing his knuckles and wrist

However just keep that as a thing between the two of you. He gets so wildly offended when you do anything of the same nature to anyone else

His very presence is enough to scare whoever it is away but why would you do that at all? He’s almost always right beside you! He could never think of anyone so brave as to have the attention of the prince of Obsidian, have him willing to lend a hand - quite literally - whenever they might ask, and then direct their attention to someone else

He’s the type to do the same to you, returning the attention and affection but, be warned, he bites. He’ll nip at the tips of your fingers playfully and would be delighted if you did the same though anything you do, he will return tenfold

He is extremely fond of any kind of mark you leave on him so draw away. He’ll joke about being your canvas and (if you’ve made the choice to write on his hand) your grocery list. It’s like a little secret because it’s always covered up with his gloves
