Hello! I see you're on a break, but may I place a request for an Identity V matchup whenever you're up for it? I'm pretty new to the fandom and still getting to know the characters but I'm v curious! I have no preferences for gender or surv/hunter.

I'm an INTJ and enneagram 6w5, if those help.

I'm also an only child to parents who worked a lot to make end's meet, so I'm used to having a lot of space and time to myself. I dont do well with crowds or long social events, but I am very good at adopting myself to socialize with different kinds of people in smaller bursts. I get along with just about everyone I meet, but the social masking means I'm a bit slow to make genuine friendships. I'm VERY loyal to people I can share my quiet decompression time with. On the flip side, I'm impatient with people who intentionally ignore my boundaries because I'm used to the alternative of being alone.

Im an anxious person who doesn't handle heated confrontation well. Regular disagreements are fine, but raised voices set me on edge and I'd rather take time away from someone so we can both cool off before we have a conversation.

Acts of Service is my favorite LL to receive, even just little things like cleaning my glasses for me. (I'm independent, but not having to be makes me feel loved) Physical Touch is probably second, and also probably the one I'm best at giving.

I'm more of a homebody and my main hobbies are reading, writing, and just relaxing to music, but I also enjoy outdoor activities like camping and hiking when I have company. I have a weak spot for low-budget horror and science fiction films! I enjoy trying new foods too--i think I'm a pretty average home cook, but I'm not a picky eater and I do my best ☺️

I like animals, and I have a couple bunnies as pets! They're v well behaved and have free run of the house.

I work in a management role right now because the money is pretty good, but it's draining and my dream is to publish my first book and make that my career!

But, I wouldn't worry about that at all. He's literally just happy to be here.

If you're looking for Acts Of Service as your favorite love language? This boy literally delivers letters because he loves to. He would absolutely do little things like that for you. He would be more than delighted to do small things for you.

I think there might be some miscommunication between INFP-INTP because of how differently you see the world. The INTP might say some things that come across as harsh and dismissive of the INFP's feelings. INTP may have a hard time understanding INFP which may cause some friction. They can bond over creative and abstract topics since they both share Ne. As long as the INFP doesn't take everything personally and the INTP learns how to be more sensitive, then this pairing is fine!

Risotto/Diavolo (INTJ) - 8.5/10

INTJs admire and value the INFP's authenticity and how they stick to their values and morals no matter what. They'll see INFPs as cute and someone they want to protect from this cursed world. The INFP can help the INTJ be more in touch with their feelings whilst the INTJ will help the INFP be more practical and logical in their decision-making. do you have any headcanons/fun facts about myrah? how was her developing process? i didn't love her at first (trying to take over the realm lol) but she's really grown on me :)

Developing Myrah was so fun. One of the hardest things was naming her. I wanted to call her Myrah but I was thinking I had too many "M" names. So then she was going to be Freya but it never really fit so I ended up going back to Myrah.

I wanted Hershel to fall in love and so that was the main reason Myrah was created. One of the hard parts at this point in the universe is creating characters that are unique. I knew I wanted her personality to be super aloof and sure of herself, because I dont have a whole lot of characters like that. Plus, I love making relationships with people who are are similar in some ways but also completely opposite in others (Cole and Keyda, Tolan and Syn, etc.) So I took what I knew about Hershel (quiet, insecure, afraid he doesnt deserve love, and generally selfless) and flipped it to create someone with opposite traits (still quiet, but very self-assured, thinks love doesnt deserve her, and a tendency to be selfish.) It was fun to have her in a similar dynamic as Hershel (new leader verses new master healer) because they are both struggling to find their own way on the paths chosen for them. But while Hershel resents the path more or less chosen for him, Myrah forged ahead with her own. Of course, they both had much to learn from each other, which made their dynamic fun to write.

My favorite thing about Myrah is how self assured she is. After writing many characters who go from having lots of insecurity to gaining confidence in themselves (Keyda, Amber, and Hershel being key characters like that) it has been fun to write a character who was sure of herself from the get go and had to be humbled just a smidge haha.

So when I first tried to draw Myrah it was really hard cuz all Nicki gave me was semi tall woman who’s gonna be the new western leader and she has weird eyes and also she’s in her 30s. I think at one point she described her with like an edgy pixie cut or something (she’ll try to describe characters to me in an effort to get me to draw them) and I was like NOPE and ended up giving her super long hair and making her real pretty. Mostly I just wanted her to reflect her self confidence and general put-togetherness. And I just love experimenting with braids haha. And then I was like, OH NO SHES GORGEOUS HERSHEL DONT STAND A CHANCE! I personally love to draw her with her hair down best and I also have given her quite a few outfits... she’s not my new fav character or anything... (I remember figuring out that his oath was gonna be a problem before he ever talks to Phos and was like OOOOOO FORBIDDEN LOVE IM SO ON BOARD!! And I’ve been hopeless hershyrah trash ever since)

Fun facts about Myrah:

*She loves to read and is dedicated to enlarging her library

*Shes secretly a little self conscious about her eyes because others made fun of them when she was young(she has since learned to use them to her advantage and they are now her most intimidating feature)

*She keeps a personal record of her own life but doesnt allow anyone to read them, not even Bula.

*Heavy Metal helped hone her sword play and she could hold her own against most people...possibly even Tolan. Her real skill is actually in knife throwing, however, and I headcannon that she keeps a dagger handy under her pillow just in case

Thread: Am I INFJ or INTJ? A Quick Guide

Those of you that experience confusion between whether or not you're an INFJ or INTJ, this is the place to look for information. That infamous T/F flip-flopping that never seems to end. You're emotional and empathetic like an INFJ, but you're also cerebral and cool-minded like an INTJ. What it all boils down to is your natural inclinations, rather than learned inclinations. So here's ways to determine if you are INTJ or INFJ:

Communication Style

Ni-Fe and Ni-Te people have a directive style of communication. There's a difference between the two. 

Te tends to be short and concise. i.e. :"Put the garbage out." It implies "You do A".

Fe tends to be sweetened a bit, implying a favor. i.e. "May you put out the garbage for me?" It implies "I'll ask you this favor in a nice way to establish a warm interaction with you."

Notice how your commanding style is. If you tend to use choice 1 more often, you use Te more than Fe. If you use choice 2 more often, asking people to do things as a favor, you use Fe more than Te.

I hate this cause i have horrible memory and i can’t really recall actual examples from the show, of Felicity’s communication style. She tends to give orders a lot because she is a lot on the coms - she *has* to be short with people. they need her to be.

My instinctive answer is that when she is interacting with people - usual conversations and such, her style of communication is asking; while when she is in charge, she gives orders more often, or just does shit. please feel free to help out with examples of this - on either. i just can’t remember. 

The Stress Test

Think of the moment where you were the most stressed out. How did you respond? What is your coping mechanism afterwards?

If you are INTJ, then you will notice in the heat of stressed out moments you will respond a lot more emotionally than usual. Ni-Fi manifests itself as being like the inner child, and you will feel as if the world is out to get you, you are now vulnerable. It will be out of the ordinary for you to respond emotionally, when in most cases you remain calm and composed. After moments of stress, you will find yourself more indulgent than usual, treating yourself to more sensory related activities.

If you are INFJ, then you will notice in the heat of stressed out moments your ESTP shadow will manifest itself as being blunt and combative even towards those close to you. Tempers will flare similarly to the Ni-Fi response, but it will be much more physical... you'll feel the urge to shout or throw things, or cry. It will seem out of character for you to act this way. After the stressful situation, you'll find yourself migrating to a more logical Ni-Ti loop... a cool-down period where you will seem withdrawn from others but also like your brain has been turned on. Ti kicks in when you've exhausted all of your Fe reserves.

from the way she reacted when cooper came back into town and her virus resurfaced, and when she fought with oliver on that ‘get palmer back’ episode, that felicity’s response to stress is more in line with the second - the infj. Felicity’s emotional responses are not limited to when she is under stress, but  she will raise her voice, get snippy and cry - or close. 

also im partial to the infj response because felicity always needs a cool down period after her temper has flared. she needs to take some time, clear her head. 

The Logistics

It all boils down to rationale. INTJs and INFJs may seem similar in that they are both logical beings, but their mode of logical thinking is quite different.

INTJ's mode of logical thinking is much more streamlined. It focuses on bringing about ideas into the physical world (Proactive thinking). It checks to see what steps one can take to achieve a desired outcome, and these steps are done in an efficient method. A goes to B, goes to C, so on and so forth. It is more empirical and searches for clear evidence to suggest that their intuition is accurate. The logic is based on usefulness and consensus of ideas in the group and coming up with a plan to achieve a desired goal.

INFJ's mode of logical thinking is more global and systematic. It resembles something like a stock-and-flow diagram, taking into account all interrelated parts of an event, person, idea, and thing. Causal loops, what effects what, who effects whom. Ti by nature searches for precision in terms, so often times INFJs will desire exact definitions and instructions to better understand what is required of them or what needs to be done. "Well, what do you mean by A? What are the implications of B? How does D effect C?" The logic is based on cause and effect, the likely consequences of actions in the present moment on the future, as well as probing for exact meaning.

i feel like on this one i have the clearest answer of all, because it’s just so obvious to me that the way felicity thinks is the second. felicity tends to work all the time with multiple screens, multiple variants, bringing a lot of things together. also, those questions an infj tends to ask, are the same ones she usually asks. those especially made me think, yes this is it. 

but but but... 

sigh, always a but. i can’t really decide on whether she has a firm enough grasp of the consequences of her actions, long term. or if she tends to reason more in the ‘what is useful now, how do i get it’ kind of thinker. and i cant answer this because I DONT REMEMBER  exact cases from the show to give as examples lmao im doomed. 

The Cause

INFJs and INTJs both are visionaries. The difference lies in how they go about realizing their inner dreams.

INTJs will feel comfortable being the only one supporting their vision. As long as they feel deep down that it is the right thing to do, they will go for it. They will lay out a course of steps to achieve this desired outcome.

INFJs will feel more compelled to get others to join in with their vision. There is a tendency in INFJs to wrangle in the troops to serve the common good. They practically become missionaries for their inner vision.

which is it? i think by the way the plot about the Smoak Tech has gone this season, it can be said that felicity has the instinct to get others to join her ‘vision’ because she did want curtis to join her, and it seemed important to her. 

The Eyes Have It

The gaze of Ni-doms is typically intense. But INTJs gaze tends to have a coolness about them, assurance, confidence, a sparkle, almost like they are looking through you. INFJs gaze, while most INFJs may seem outwardly stoic, there's an ironic softness to INFJ eyes, a doleful gaze, you can tell that their thinking is directed inwards, and will have the "thousand yard stare" on occasion.

1. Which book has been on your shelves the longest?

If it is a book I purposefully bought, then probably Sandry’s Story by Tamora Pierce but on shelves in general then probably Diana of the Crossroads.

2. What is your current read, your last read, and the book you’ll read next?

so i actually just finished a book titled Knit One Girl Two by Shira Glassman AND IT WAS AMAZING! The book before that was The Antagonists by Burgandi Rakoska which was also terrific! The next book on my list is The Little White Horse by Elizabeth Goudge because I was flipping through my netflix and had a sudden realization that secret of moonacre was based on a book and i love my fantasy - cheesy and otherwise. 

3. What book does everyone like and you hated?

oh god there are actually a lot of these.... confession I have never made it through the Harry Potter series (yes, I know, I’m a terrible human BUT I GAVE IT AN HONEST TRY). I really hated slave, warrior, queen as I found that the lead was very strong willed and then ended up very passive and submissive at the end which was disappointing. I tried the winners curse series and didn’t really like it. imma leave it at that...

4. Which book do you keep telling yourself you’ll read, but you probably won’t?

ummmm on my digital shelf, there are a lot of books there that I probably won’t get to. On my actual shelf... I’ve actually read everything on there sooo... Im actually pretty spontaneous in my reading...

5. Which book are you saving for “retirement”?

shakespeare marathon and working my way up to Dragonbone Chair. I don’t know, I’ll probably end up writing my own stories in my head during retirement cause I won’t be able to use my hands or hear an audiobook! 

6. Last page: read it first or wait til the end?

Depends on the book, but in most cases I’ll wait till the end! The only times I will check the ending is if I am reading with someone else and am keeping an eye out for triggers.

7. Acknowledgements: waste of ink and paper or interesting aside?

I actually love reading the acknowledgements and all the other weird little things before and after the book! Getting to know the author can change the way you see a book which I find fascinating! :)

8. Which book character would you switch places with?

Thianna Frostborn. Not only is she amazingly sarcastic and smart, she is half frost giant which would be SO MUCH FUN!!!! The adventures she ends up on are so much fun and only have minor physical damage!

9. Do you have a book that reminds you of something specific in your life (a person, a place, a time)?

I actually have a lot of these! The first one that comes to mind is Arrows of the Queen by Mercedes Lackey which is one of the first fantasy books I read that are closer to the adult than young adult realm (see book three chapter 8) and this book was passed down to me from my mom who read it around the same age. It was one of the first books that I accidentally “missed” class in and its always been a comfort for me.

10. Name a book you acquired in some interesting way.

 I got the book Wait Till Helen Comes from my elementary school librarian (who has unfortunately passed away and im still sad about that) who taught me how the right book can change your view on life and on reading. All of us library helpers got to choose a book and this was the first time someone gave me a book that wasn’t a family member. Only problem was that during the creepy ghost scene my black cat was in my very dark room and knocked over my stack of books the same time the ghost knocked over a stack of books in the book... needless to say, its not a book I read much now!

... also, I “borrowed” my dad’s copy of Death in Yellowstone when I was 7/8... I wasn’t supposed to read it but it remains one of my favorites.

11. Have you ever given away a book for a special reason to a special someone?

nope. I’m very possessive of my books. any books that have left my possession were either loaned, or I traded, or I got money for. I like books...

12. Which book has been with you to the most places?

Probably Death in Yellowstone as it came with us on our trip back home from yellowstone... besides that, I travel mostly with ebooks as you can store more in less space!

13. Any “required reading” you hated in high school that wasn’t so bad ten years later?

I no longer have a grudge against The Odyssey which is probably because the second read through wasn’t forced into two weeks with really detailed quizzes that killed my grade. All other books that I hated, I still have. peace like a river can still go burn in a hole (I have a poem about this book if anyone wants) and stargirl was a very terrible book. I DETEST it.

14. What is the strangest item you’ve ever found in a book?

well I worked at the school library first period so I’ve seen quite a few things. There have been several bathroom passes, a couple photographs, a crap ton of phone numbers... There was a book about teen pregnancy found in the girls bathroom and that was pretty awkward. Strange, however, not really. 

15. Used or brand new?

both! If I really like a book, I will buy a new copy but for anything else I love used because it makes sitting in a corner like a creepy person less lonely because the previous reader probably did too!

16. Stephen King: Literary genius or opiate of the masses?

While I haven’t personally read any King, I know for a fact that they aren’t checked out all that much at the high school level at a high school library. I would say that like any author, if the reader gets through it and enjoyed it - that author is a genius.

17. Have you ever seen a movie you liked better than the book?

well the Harry Potter series but that is just because i could never make it through (which is really annoying but not annoying enough for me to force my way through the books) but besides that, not really

18. Conversely, which book should NEVER have been introduced to celluloid?

well a lot of the YA popular series in my personal opinion. Twilight is definitely up there. There are probably a lot of terrible movies that I have watched jokingly that were originally books that I don’t know about. 

19. Have you ever read a book that’s made you hungry, cookbooks being excluded from this question?

not really... I often forget to eat and forget that oh hey! my body is hungry and I should probably eat when I’m reading. 

20. Who is the person whose book advice you’ll always take?

my old elementary librarian when he was still alive, and my mom. She is an english major/poetry minor so we don’t have a lot in common (Im going into geophysical engineering) but holy crap are her books good! and I get really excited about books and will read just about anything. I also have a problem where if I’ve started a series I really hate to not finish it so I’ve read an entire trilogy in two days because all books had to be back at the school library for summer.
