[a small vuzi snippet uwu yall liked the oil exchange with nuzi so you get this too >:3 ]

V and Uzi were sitting criss-cross in front of each other, feeling awkward but still looking determined- they wanted to try exchanging oil for V, since Uzi already did it often with N; but while they lean in slowly, V takes a peak and sees Uzi with visor eyes shut and looking stressed, her bottom jaw clattering softly for a moment as her body shakes lightly- V feels a slight pang of guilt and and scoffs "ugh" pushing Uzi back slightly "look I'm not doing this when you're so obviously terrified-"

"wh- i am NOT-!" she crossed her arms, looking away, a slight blush visible on her visor- "besides- don't you LIKE teasing and scaring me-

V rolls her eyes- also crossing her arms "uh- yeeeah. I like playing with my FOOD- not-!…..not you….." both of them pause momentarily at this small confession- "…. you're… more than that… I guess…" Uzi softly peaks at V as the other turns away blushing severely.

V suddenly shook her head "UGH never mind-!! this was stupid anyway-! ill just go find real food-"

"H-Hey wAIT!" before she knew what she was doing, Uzi had jumped and grabbed Vs arm as the taller drone stood up- so now they are both standing and staring at one another and Uzis hold on Vs arm with lots of blushing lines. Uzi looks away slightly "I uh…. we can try again if... if you want?…"

V's optics hallowed and she felt heat rising in her core- the fuck are these feelings ugh- no wonder Uzi hates that she's been programmed with them- "o-okay fine- since you insist- lets just get this over with then-"

Uzi lines their bodies so that they'd be standing and pressing against each other slightly and they both tried leaning in again slowly with closed eyes-

-when suddenly Uzi yelps as she is hoisted up on Vs arms "V! what the hell-!?"

V smirks up at her "sorry shorty, if I wanna get that oil I need gravity to slide it down your throat into mine-" she licks her fangs momentarily as her 5 real eyes pulsed slightly brighter with sparks which made Uzi blush even more- feeling slightly turned on at the display- she felt like V was gonna eat her alive and somehow she was fine with that-..............shOO BE GONE THOUGHTS-

Uzi shook her head "F- fine! ugh bite me-"

"be careful what you wish for~"

Uzi grumbles as V smirks wildly at her but instead of retorting with a snarky answer she lightly holds Vs cheeks and leans in again, her eyes fluttering closed as Vs smirk fades into a nervous frown and she swallows nervously as her hold tightens a little on the other drones back-

it starts with a peck and then they press their lips against each other more firmly, tilting their heads ever so slightly- and both of their frowns disappeared softly as they got more comfortable. Uzi's hands and fingers move from V's face and neck to threading and curling around in her hair and V purrs lightly at the small tugs.

slowly V pries open Uzis mouth a bit more with her tongue as she laps at the oil shared with her from against Uzis tongue and lips, making some run away drops slide past their mouths towards their chins.

V was surprised at how much more calming and energizing this felt; not particularly her style of work but…. she thinks that she could definitely get used to this… maybe... but then Uzi momentarily makes a small surprised sound that made V grip on her a little tighter subconsciously. Uzi presses slightly back against V's tongue with her own and her soft mewls fueled V in other ways-

Fuck her noises were almost as tasty as her oil, V thought momentarily before she caught herself-

They both part with a small gasp, swallowing whatever was left in their mouths and V had a few seconds to admire Uzi's light headed state from losing her oil before she blinked, slightly shaking herself out of it, blushing-

she put Uzi down a bit faster than intended but made sure she doesn't fall over- looking away and blushing, with Uzi doing the same- panting a little to get some chill air to her rapidly heating circuitry.

V thinks of what to say really cuz that was... certainly an experience she had.... "Uh yeah soo- thanks or whatever- that was.. definitely pretty boring to be honest, I can see why you'd like to do it all day with doodle boy over there-" she crosses her arms again looking away as she coughs lightly in her fist- blush lines being repressed but still visible-

Uzi blushes at the comment of her and N exchanging Oil- though she was hoping V didn't notice when they had parted Uzi was zoomed in on V's fangs and almost wanted her to ACTUALLY bite her like dear robo christ on a jet fueled scooter-

she ends up looking away too at V's words, blush painfully obvious "you're WELCOME for not letting you starve or whatever-! not like i care or anything hmph-"

they both stay like that looking away for a while… when Uzi notices V's tail wagging slightly behind her... oh.

"….b-but if you wanted any more… well uhh- you know where to find me I guess... ykNOW-! CUZ- it'd be a drag if we had to constantly deal with you over heating and stuff- y-yeah- that-!" she explains with a slight panic and waving her hands around

V looked at her with hollowed eyes and blushes as her tail twisted around her leg to keep it from wagging more- "um.. y-yeah totally sure- whatever- doubt ill NEED it tho- she slightly looks away, her finger playing with a strand of her own hair-

suddenly there was a sound of a loud clang and they both look at N jumping in the pod giddily with a loud "im baaack-!"

they both turn towards him looking gobsmacked with blushes and N had a moment of pausing and looking at Vs slightly ruffled hair and the two of them wiping the oil dripping from their mouth and chins-

N's expression turned into a deadpan one- "I leave for like…. 5 MINUTES… and you guys are making out without me??? >:( "

I went on Twitter for like the first time (what a mistake) and saw again and again people complaining about how Nuzi is a pro-ship, Uzi is just a teen, N is an adult, yadda yadda and it gets so tiring at some point.

one point might be a bit controversial tho oops

"Uzi said herself that she's a teenager!"

Yes, she did. But teens can range from the ages of 13-20. It is a wide spectrum that is thankfully narrowed down by episode 3 when it is revealed that all classmates in her class are around the ages of 18-20. There's nobody younger than 18, meaning that it's highly unlikely that Uzi is 17 and even more unlikely that she's 16. She has to be around the ages of 18-20.

"But Uzi does to highschool, which only teens between the ages of 15-17 go to!"

That is if you assume that the drones only adopted the American school system. However, we've got a drone that only speaks Russian and a manuel for drone parents that is translated in French. In Germany, adults over the age of 18 can visit highschools. Heck, I'm 19 and currently in my 12th year of highschool. I'll be 20 in my final years where my prom will happen too, which, again, indicated that Uzi is older than what everyone assumes.

"How come Uzi is older than 18 if there are parent-teacher conferences?"

Again, my school also has parent-teacher conferences, even for the students that are adults. It's an optional thing and at this point in the story, Khan wanted to somehow reconnect with Uzi again which makes sense that he visits the parent-teacher conference.

"Uzi is shorter than her classmates, indicating that she's younger!"

Short adults exist, I don't need to elaborate further.

"Uzi's mom died shortly after she was made. N was already an adult at that time!"

We've seen through flashbacks from Doll that her parents died while she was a teen/not a pill baby. The same could have happened to Uzi, that Nori died while she was older. Also, N already being an adult is something I wanna unpack in the next argument.

"Uzi at some point asks about her mother, indicating that she never truly knew her! This implies that Uzi was a baby when Nori died!"

Yes, N could have also killed Nori while Uzi was a baby. But guess what?

N was a "baby" too.

Bear with me.

If we really wanna go by ages of the drones, we should remember that ALL the drones aged differently. Uzi was the only one that was a pill-baby before. N, V and J weren't, they were all in adult bodies. Yet, they were all around the same age of Uzi.

The way I understand the timeline is like this;

Uzi is made. N gets rescued from the scrapyard and saved by Tessa. I'd like to assume that he only got to live a few months before being discarded, as we can see that humans act very carelessly with their drones. So, Uzi is essentially a newborn while N is around 3-5 months old.

about 2 years pass. Both N and Uzi are two-years-old. However, ONLY UZI IS A PILL BABY DRONE. N was always in the default worker drone body. He can talk, move and do a bunch of things a 2-year-old shouldn't be able to do. However, if we base age on maturity and life experiences than he's no more an adult than Uzi was. All of his capabilities are programmed, he'll literally just die if he can't do those things cause otherwise he's defective. (BTW, NOT JUSTYFING PPL THAT GO "oh, you're mature for your age" OR SHIT LIKE THAT. I'M JUST SAYING THAT IN TERMS OF MATURITY, THEY WERE MOST LIKELY ON THE SAME LEVEL)

Uzi is now 3-years-old and the diassembly drones killed Nori. It'll make sense why she doesn't remember much of Nori and ask questions about her. N is also 3-years-old and he, along with V and J, are doomed to kill Worker Drones until they finish their job and die due to overheating.

By that logic, N AND UZI ARE AROUND THE SAME AGE.

Of course we can't get a clear timeline of events as Liam said that he doesn't want to write himself into a corner. But this is the one that makes me most sense to me unless somebody manages to proof me otherwise.

UZI WAS A PILL BABY, N WAS NOT.

N might aswell have been a pill baby this whole time and nobody would have batted an eye. Their physical bodies do not equal their mental maturity and age, those are completely seperate entities.

I might have fumbled on my words a lot, I'm not a native English speaker. I still hope this was easy to explain without me having said something wrong accidentaly.

"N x Uzi just came out of nowhere for fanservice!"

It was confirmed that the scirpt of Murder Drones was finished way back at episode 1 before the ship became even popular. Heck, Glitch posted a picture of Beau before the second episode dropped. Also, animations takes such a long time to do with lots of planing. Last minute changes are extremely risky to make and no professional studio like GLITCH would do that just to appease the fans.

"They killed of V to make Nuzi canon!"

I agree with the part that V should have gotten more screentime before her death.

But she wasn't killed off to make Nuzi happen.

She just went through an entire charachter arc from this drone that masks her trauma thorugh feiging apathy/joy in killing and always making decisions based on what she thought was right because she couldn't trust the people around her, not even N.

At the end, when V sacrificed herself, she finally recognized that Uzi is not CYN, she's as much as a victim as V was and that Uzi truly cares about N like she does. Her sacrifice was there to show how she finally manages to trust Uzi, even though she most likely knows how dangerous Uzi can get if she loses control. I just wished they build up towards that more cause it would have been so much better but she wasn't killed off to make Nuzi happen.

There are probably more arguments that I missed...

Im gonna go ahead and just explain my headcanons and stylizations:

–I don’t remember where I saw this, but there was this post implying that a drones personality is a mix of the parents ai, so I thought of how doll and uzi meeting each other might cause a wierd deja vu moment, since they both have scraps of personality and memories of their mothers in their code, not helped by the unique features that they share

–the more the infected drone uses their powers, the more small features get affected. The tusks are the most notable, for someone like nuzi's mom the were mutations, but for nuzi she was simply born with them. They get longer the more the power is used, sometimes one at a time or both at once. It’s not pictured here, but same applies for their hands were they form claws.

–I wanna draw this to expand on it, but the virus grows mystery flesh and blood inside the host. It doesn’t actively grow out, but when it does it opts to create new limbs and/or heads for itself rather than forming around existing ones. I hc that the head on the end of uzi's tail does have a mind of its own and when uzi zones out it starts looking around and tries using the wings as hands.

–the virus also forms bones fragments, mostly teeth. The host can retract and protract them.

So I watched all the Murder Drones episodes out so far and I've come to a conclusion

I'm a certified Nuzi shipper, and half of that is because I think they're cute. The other half? Pure spite. Pure spite towards this one particular person online that I only vaguely remember who misguided me under the impression that they were implied siblings so I thought it was a proship because I hadn't seen the series and didn't know any better. The age of MD characters

Ground rules. Not actual age because that's impossible to determine because we don't know a lot of information like how quickly WDs age, how old Uzi was when the DDs arrived (or how long after was she born), etc.

So basically, how old would they be if they were human.

Lets look at the canon evidence before going into theory territory.

Uzi is in a rebellious phase which can happen at any age but is most common in the range 11-13 years old.

In episode 3, the characters went to prom meaning they're ever in the yr11 or yr13 (basically in the age range 15-18). Since in episode 4 its shown they're still in school, we can conclude they're in yr11 (15-16 years old). for US peeps, yr11 is 11th grade and yr13 is 12th grade

In episode 1, we see the teens were given homework which was a word problem about watermelons. Although these are present in yr13, they're infinitely more common in y11 backing up the earlier segment.

In episode 4, its highly implied that the DD drones are older than Uzi's peers. This isn't conclusive by any means.

With the exception of Uzi and DD, all the teens are exactly the same height (which makes sense since they're robots) and all the adults are the same height being slightly taller than the teens. This means the teens aren't fully grown but the height difference isn't major so basically this backs up everything discussed earlier.

In episode 4 N refers to himself and V as 'kids' implying that they're adults or just barely adults.

Although far from definitive, I think most evidence points to the teens being ~16 years old with the DD being 17+ years old.

Now onto theory time.

I think Uzi is younger than her peers and was moved up a year or a couple in school.

First going back to the height point from earlier, it does seem height is only correlated with age (which makes sense for robots).

secondly, the reason she was moved up a couple years is because she's a genius. In the show, she's created a: sick as hell railgun, a device which allows her to steal someone else's sentience, and a device which allows her to inception into peoples minds.

Thirdly, her anti-social behaviour and detachment from her peers mirrors a lot of experience of children who were moved up a year.

So, how old is Uzi? to avoid nuzi becoming too... controversial, I think she's 15 and was only moved up 1 year.

Cyn is even harder to age but since she is even smaller than Uzi and from her personality, I think she's in the age range 10-13, my instinct is telling me 12 years old which is much older than what the fanon usually present her as.

For *those* creators, I do think you can make a very persuasive argument that the whole cast (except Cyn) is 18+.

I also want to mention there's a lot of leeway with these numbers and headcanon age can we whatever you want, personally I think J is 30 years old.

I wonder what everyone else thinks or if there's any strong evidence i missed.

I always find it really weird whenever some people like to say that they see N and Uzi's relationship as "sibling like" or "father & daughter" kind of relationship.

Now to be fair, you could say that N and Uzi had a sibling like relationship/dynamic in the pilot and episode 2..... but in my opinion, that kind of dynamic they had dropped immediately after episode 3 was released. However, a lot of people (nuzi antis) used the excuse that Uzi blushing in that episode was out of embarrassment and not because she was developing feelings for N. But that's a whole can of worms I do NOT want to get into today. All I'll say is that I find it ironic that Nuzi antis were fighting tooth and nail saying that Uzi was just embarrassed, meanwhile when V blushed at N at the end of episode 5, Envy fans were cheering and saying that her blush was romantic. Like what??? Make it make sense??

Anyways, I know Nuzi is technically not cannon, at least not yet, but in my opinion it's very HEAVILY IMPLIED AT THIS POINT. Uzi has blushed several times on N and the two show that they care for each other alot in a very deep level. Even N was blushing when him and Uzi held hands in episode 6!! They don't scream siblings or father and daughter in my opinion, I find it really weird if you see them that way when they clearly show to like each other in a romantic way.

i saw someone on twitter being bitchy over nuzi being very heavily implied to be canon and praising t/adc for not having any so that "people can ship whoever they want"

and im.

1. you know that a ship being endgame doesnt mean you cant stop shipping other things right? like, the canon status doesnt matter. if youre having fun with a non-canon ship have fun

2. shipping isnt the only way to enjoy something. if you would drop a show just bc you feel you cant ship anything then i think your love for that show was very shallow in the first place. what about the plot? characters?

3. creators can put a relationship in the show. they can have it slowly build up. its THEIR story that they can have fun with and theyre not obligated to change anything just to appeal to you.

anyways, ship whatever else you want even if nuzi becomes canon. its not the end of the world

I know one blog said DNI if you still think of Uzi and N in a familial sorta sense but I'm not really sure that would bother ME if you do. People had their headcanons for a while and they can just not ship Nuzi themselves, accept it's canon, and just have the fun other types of relationships they've thought for them before.

If anything, a famial relationship being headcanoned as romantic is a lot worse, so I'm incredibaly fine with the reverse
