The Crumplebottoms | An Unequivocal Bond
Inseparable since childhood, Dowager Countess Agnes Crumplebottom and Lady Agatha Crumplebottom have truly never known a day apart. Together, they have had many a grand adventure over the last few decades. From evading unscrupulous suitors to dancing the night away in opulent ballrooms, they have seen each other through life's most joyous and saddest moments. Agnes inherited a sizable estate in the quaint village of Henford-on-Bagley. With Agatha by her side, Agnes established a prestigious finishing school, Miss Cordelia's Academy for Young Ladies. Families send their daughters from far and wide to become accomplished ladies under the tutelage of the Crumplebottoms.
So where have I been...somehow got sucked into historical gameplay (specifically regency era) and having so much fun building out my own historical save file. I'm trying to commitment to SimBridgerton Challenge and so far so good...
Truthfully I've been very much inspired by @janesimsten incredible mods as well as amazing tumblrs like @regencysims4, @moon-simmers,@inlovewithregencyera, @peebsplays and @notsooldmadcatlady to name a few!
I've tried to incorporate some of my favorite townies and loved building out the Crumplebottoms story. I'll be posting more soon!

The Baroque period saw a softening of women's fashion, with the silhouette becoming fuller and higher waisted. Leg-o-mutton and three quarter sleeves added a billowy upper half to dresses. Shimmering soft satins and tonnes of delicate lace trimmings were all the rage. Necklines continued to broaden, eventually even falling off the shoulders in some styles.

Girls' Accessory Pantalettes - 4 versions
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Hey! Do you want accessory pantalettes for children? Well, here they are! These were requested by @inlovewithregencyera.
BGC
Found in the leggings category
Come in 4 lengths - V1 is ankle-length and V4 ends a bit below the knees.
Pantalettes taken from Kirsten's Winter Outfit (though I do realize that's not where they're originally from. that's where I got em)
2 swatches - plain white and with a subtle lace texture at the bottom (which, in hindsight, isn't particularly noticeable in-game. But you can see it in CAS!)
Not all socks are compatible with the texture, but one pair I've found to generally work well are the Tea Socks from this pack
I don't recommend combining them with dresses shorter than knee-length or anything with preexisting pantalettes. It doesn't look good.
Some dresses also end up sort of... highjacking the pantalette texture.
Tumblr media
HOWEVER, this can actually end up looking alright! While most pantalettes were white, they did sometimes match the dresses. But then again, the dresses were usually white as well.
Vertices: 289
Polygons: 289
Known issues:
They do a strange exploding thing in certain situations. I've noticed it in CAS, household portraits (the ones seen in the household manager), and the portrait in the bottom left corner in Live Mode. It doesn't seem to be an issue in gameplay though! And it only SOMETIMES occurs in cas. If it's very annoying, switching to another outfit and then back to the one you were editing should get rid of the exploding.

Some compatible dresses (used in the previews):

Do you have the Patch-day blues?
Tumblr media
Patch-day blues: Game not working. Mods not working. S4S not working. Discord help unavailable. It sucks.
Cry unstoppable under your blanket -> Does not help and gives you a wet blanket and red eyes
Drink a lots and lots of wine -> Does not help and gives you a headache
Go for a long walk -> Does not help but you might feel refreshed. Or exhausted.
Kick your computer really hard -> Does not help and your toe will probably hurt
Read a Sims story on tumblr -> Does probably not help either, but you will have a nice time, and maybe feel inspired. Which is a good thing for when things are back to normal. (Because it will be. Soon.)
Reading suggestions under the cut!
Here are some interesting stories. Some I've already read, and some are on my reading list. I'm sure you will like them too.
The Royal Thornolia Chronicles - @theroyalthornoliachronicles
The Darlington Legacy - @aheathen-conceivably
Gosnoll Ancestry - @sims-half-crazy
The Sewell Legacy - @antiquatedplumbobs
The Curse of the Damned - @inlovewithregencyera
The Langston Legacy - @pixelnrd
The Way We Were - @funkyllama
The Mendoza Legacy - @heartblobs
Sophie of Rostock Story - @royaltysimblr
The Ambroise Legacy - @scythesms
If that isn't a long enough list for you, have a look at this site with even more suggestions:
The Sims story Archive
Now, think about how lucky you are. While you are reading these marvelous stories, some modders are working really hard with updating your favorite mods. Bless them!
💖*Hugs!*💖

Note
Hi! Do you know about the historical sims discord, Sims of History? I found a lot of things there. @inlovewithregencyera sent me an invite ~2 months ago (Idk if I can do it myself, discord often confuses me).
I had heard whispers of it, but I'm not in it myself! I'll see if I can find a link...
