I’ve got nothing to post, so it’s pride headcannons time.

I’ve got the factory set out because you can probably tell where I put the most thought in, so I’ll start with them.

Hello Hello! Thank you for your request!

I just very suddenly got the motivation to write a request. I started this at 12 am, crashed at around 1 am, then woke up at 8:30 am just to finish this. Damn.

Anyways, I hope you enjoy, and have a good rest of your day/night!

Would the Uberbots hide their emotions?

The Archivist:

The Archivist will only hide her emotions if it’s negative. She doesn’t really have the time to express such things so she keeps it bottled up to herself. She does express more positive emotions, such as joy, surprise, excitement, ect.

Of course, there is a breaking point and she has become burnt out by this on many occasions but scarcely enough to be considered unnatural. When this happens, she becomes short tempered, stressed, and hardly keeps herself kempt than she normally would.

Usually, her librarians will help her with some of her personal tasks to help her become more relaxed. But sometimes this isn’t the case and it affects her even more. If she had a partner, she’d definitely need to rely on them for a bit, as much as she’d hate to do so.

She strives to be professional and independent, and hardly has to rely on anyone. So to have hardly any other choice but to do so, it makes her circuits seethe. But despite that, she won’t take it out on anyone. Maybe some disposable parts, but never anyone she cares about.

So long as the workload isn’t as stressful, she’ll take it.

The Photographer:

The Photographer is more expressive than most of the Uberbots are. To the point where it’s kind of scary. See, the Photographer is much more open about its emotions, whether its negative or positive. It especially expresses anger a lot more openly.

The Photographer is easily agitated, and so it takes out its frustration on other things like scraps or twigs. Whenever it’s some other negative emotion, it can find other outlets to express it. It doesn’t like keeping it bottled up, as it's really just uncomfortable in a way? It just doesn’t feel right and it's simply better to just let it out.

On that note, it really gets nervous when someone it cares about is near it during an anger episode. It doesn’t want to hurt them, and it fears that one day they’ll get too close and get hurt by mistake. The Photographer doesn’t want that to happen, so it has advised time and time again to leave it alone so it can calm down without them getting hurt.

Though even in the Photographer’s most emotional moments, it’s clear that it truly does care.

The Unfinished Boss:

Another one that tends to be more expressive. Albeit the Unfinished Boss experiences more anxiety than the other Uberbots do. Although the bot tends to express their emotions through art, surprising to no one. Whether the emotion is negative or positive, it’ll likely end up on a fresh canvas and diligently painted by the Unfinished Boss as they express how they feel.

The Unfinished Boss gets panicked and nervous rather easily, and so they’ll desperately seek out familiar company and stick near it until the feeling goes away. Whether they talk about how they feel or not depends on the severity of the anxiety at the moment. If even so willing, they may show their art expressing how they feel to someone close to the bot.

They don’t like talking about their emotions, and much rather sticking to themselves and handling it on its own. And usually they can, but in times they can’t, it immediately calls for a close friend or partner and get help with their anxious thoughts. They don’t really mind asking others for help, as they know the worst they could do is belittle it for feeling such complicated things.

Only another emotion to paint on a canvas.

G0lly:

G0lly will only hide any negative emotions like the Archivist. But unlike the Archivist, she doesn’t bottle them up, she simply keeps up her happy facade until she’s alone. That is if she’s feeling particularly off. In regular conditions she will only express her negative emotions to someone close to her, but still keeps up her happy and curious face whenever others are around.

G0lly rarely ever gets angry, actually. Whenever something frustrating happens she is more conflicted than upset. When she does get angry, it can only be eminent for so long that it’s hard to tell that she was angry at all. If G0lly is angry for longer than 10 minutes, you know the day of reckoning has arrived.

She doesn’t like acknowledging the fact that she has such feelings, and prefers to focus on more positive things. She tries to avoid upsetting things as much as she possibly can until she can’t anymore and has to face them. She doesn’t like saying she’s upset simply because she doesn’t like being vulnerable in that sense, it’s something that hits too close and too hard for her to expose that much vulnerability.

But if G0lly knows she can share her emotions with someone she trusts, she might as well.

edits done to act 2 scrybes for funsies! i originally set out to simply recolor their portraits with their sprite colors (still included that) but got carried away and also redesigned them closer to their 3d models + gave mags a cool hat

working on the rest of the npcs as well! might take a bit cause im in the middle of moving <:)
