suggestion do you have... any wants? like obviously you do but like? suggestion my guy my ourple boy. both the easiest and hardest to write. you need a skill to say something to move conversation along but it doesn't fit any skill in particular? about 80% of the time you can have suggestion say it and it will make sense. but like actually characterizing him... how do i define you dude... what makes your character tick... urgh. i dont get you yet. im trying to understand but you are difficult.

#chemi chats #there are some skills that i just dont understand yet and that just means i have to work on their character study chapter #im reading his bio and i think suggestion is a good manipulator and it's instinctive and he tries not to feel bad about it? #he's clever!! charming!! friends with savvy and drama. planting seeds in the mind and coaxing them to grow towards him like he's the sun. #a crude oil reservoir lying beneath a carefully laid flower bed. taps into the roots. the plants don't know any better than to drink. #he's great at sensing what makes people tick and uses that to his advantage. he needs goals to look forward to so he knows how to best #pull the strings to get them there. otherwise he's a bit aimless. he likes being useful. and since influencing others is helpful #he just keeps doing it? because it's what he's good at. and he tries to convince himself its fun and cool and just cuz hes charming and #it's his role as a skill and manipulation isnt thaaaat bad because it's helpful to them after all... but he does feel bad sometimes. #oh im listening to his voice lines and i just got to ''brother you should have put me in front of a firing squad'' and im sad about him now #but what do you want for short term little guy?? probably for people to like him. he likes chatting with people. i bet he'd like genuine #conversations with no strings attached but there's always some part of him filing information and tidbits away that he can't turn off #subconsciously figuring out things he can hold over them or how he can nudge them into thinking someth-/wait.../ no. no he's just talking. #he's /supposed/ to just be talking stop analyzing them stop falling back into that just have a normal conversation!! but he can't help it.. #hm. this is all really helpful for his chapter. he and empathy are very alike but also different. very interesting... #task: swept up #okay good talk everyone i think i understand him a little better now lmao?? still gotta figure him out some more hes not fully there but ye #also i think he goes by whatever pronoun you think he'd use. just ''oh what do /you/ think i am hm?? what /would/ i use; do you think?? :)' #funny fella. i love you.

The way this is structured as if it’s the order of events. This is the order they happen in. The Odysseus that we (and Odysseus himself) knows up until this point IS on the brink of death. He, as he is now, would NOT make it home. He draws his final breath in the figurative sense, not the literal sense. He dies, again, figuratively, and becomes a man that is no longer this Odysseus that we (or he) would be able to recognize. He becomes the monster and is no longer the Odysseus ANYONE would recognize (excluding Penelope, who knows her husband at his best and worst - though I’m sure even she is taken aback by some of the changes/choices he had to make to get home) Odysseus “dies” to become the monster.

it really has been so interesting (and gratifying) to see people's reaction to my writing, a lot of people have really nice insights into my style or pointed something out that i never particularly thought about...

#life of a fanfiction writer #it's just been an interesting experience overall #back when all i did was write sanji fic i feel like i remember comments being very nice too #but at the same time they didn't really make me think a lot about my writing so much #there's been quite a few commenters for mp100 fic where they sort of make a particular statement on something and i'm just like #'huh. wow. never noticed that.' #never really thought about the way i use repetition. #never really thought about how i describe motion. #i have a friend who has chatted with me about my writing style before too and i think she has said much of the same things #but it does feel different when multiple people also comment on it. #(timeloop fic also had a lot of comments about pacing and the payoff and stuff that i didn't think about either) #(but I think that's just the result of me being in the privileged writer position where i have everything laid out in front of me) #(makes it hard to know how things will feel when read one day at a time)

#we went to go see a movie last night and there was this group of teenagers #ive never wanted to commit a crime more in my life #basically this whole group sucked but it had a catalyst of sucky of this one kid in a White Shirt #so White Shirt kept getting up and walking around like he was a recipient of the fucking boston marathon #he kept making super loud noises seemingly just to piss people off #he kept having insanely loud conversations and arguments with his friends #like i dont think any of them watched the movie at all #in the middle of the movie he walked in with 3 random people and things got so much worse #he fuckin kept waving his flashlight into the audience like a fucking prick #he got into an argument enough that his friends separated from him and also started walking around the theater #including this couple that came and sat in front of us (in one seat. girl sat on dude's lap like there werent others around) #and THEY kept arguing. and she kept standing up for long periods of time and sitting down again #we actually went out at one point. one of my friends yelled at white shirt to stop being a prick and asked an attendee to kick him out #attendee just came in the theater and watched while White Shirt was out of the room specifically so he wouldnt get in trouble #White Shirt was also acting like he didnt do shit #he ALSO interrupted people IN THE BATHROOM saying 'who wants to be in a youtube video' #anyway the attendee just did fucking nothing and let that jackass and his friends ruin an entire movie #i cant even tell you how the movie was because of his shit #anyway yea teenagers are the fucking worst and if youre reading this White Shirt i hope you choke on your own dick #bc if youre gonna act like that later in life youre never gonna get laid

ive molded my whole persona after one person thinking they were the ideal human being and the epitome of success. and me not thinking. oh this Probably isnt very healthy and will cause me anxiety down the line. and said person i was molding myself after probably meant well but also got a certain satisfaction from someone that just nodded after any idea they thought was worthwhile pursuing For Me and probably boosted their ego because there's a fine line between high self esteem and narcissism (because you need some narcissism if you're going to get far in this kind of field ig) and i thought i managed to escape narcissism in my life already but it turns out ive been living with another one all this time just makes this whole identity crisis of mine feel fucking weird but i know they genuinely do love me and want the best for me and are well meaning its just that theyve pretty much carved out who i am from the get go and im sure they're aware of that
