Iris was accustomed to Jesse's out-of-the-box ideas, despite often finding them to be outrageous. Still, she couldn't help but find it endearing whenever Jesse proposed his unique and fun ideas. Even if baking while blindfolded and deaf was a tad too much, she couldn't say no to spending time with him. Plus, she admitted that spending time with Jesse was one of her favorite activities.

As she laid the eggs, butter, and other ingredients on the countertop, Iris contemplated how much of a challenge this baking blindfolded endeavor would be. Despite knowing the task would be difficult, Jesse couldn't contain his smiles and excitement.

“Im not enjoying this”

Jesse chuckled as Iris yelled at him, finding her outburst utterly endearing. He tried to tell her that she was being too loud, but she didn't hear him due to the loud music on her headphones. Despite their heated harmless argument, Jesse found Iris's reactions to be adorable. As the scene became more chaotic with Jesse's flour and Iris's yelling, the two couldn't help but crack a smile. Even in their chaotic and embarrassing moments, Jesse and Iris's chemistry was unstoppable.

At Jesse's loving smile, Iris felt her heart fluttering, her eyes glued to his sweet smile. His charming smile made her heart skip a beat, as she felt breathless and unable to turn away from him. It felt like time had stopped, and Jesse and Iris were in a world of their own.

“Jesse!”

“Iris”

Jesse smirked as he dumped a generous handful of oil into the cookie batter, causing Iris's eyes to widen in surprise. As she yelled at Jesse, he laughed covering her mouth with his hand “Shhh you’re being too loud”

Jesse giggled as Iris tried to yell at him, but she couldn't. Iris's words were muffled, and she was unable to get them out. Jesse was enjoying the moment, finding Iris's attempt to yell at him absolutely adorable. As Iris continued to struggle, Jesse's soft chuckles filled the air, making the moment all the more fun and lighthearted. "Let me go!" Iris mumbled, trying to fight Jesse's hand while fighting back a smirk.

“Beg”

After a bit of struggling, Iris got tired and decided to take a different approach. So, she licked Jesse's hand, surprising Jesse and causing him to yell "disgusting" in jest while laughing.

As Jesse and Iris's moment of intimacy continued, Iris suddenly stopped and said "wait." Iris leaned in and wiped the flour off Jesse's cheek, Jesse felt his heart racing from her act of intimacy, but he was hesitant to act on his feelings of wanting to kiss her. What would happen if he did? Jesse wondered, unsure if he should make a move or not.

Jesse playfully teased Iris, saying "Careful, I'm starting to think you like me and can't seem to get enough of me." Iris, who fortunately heard Jesse despite her headphones, rolled her eyes and quipped back, "I think it's the other way around." She tried to hide her blush before playfully smacking Jesse's arm. "You like me, don't you?" Jesse asked playfully, with a smile on his face as if he already knew the answer. Iris paused before finally nodding her head

Thank god he’s blindfolded…

“I said this before” Jesse yelled and leaned closer so she could hear him “Acapella boy acapella girl” he pointed at himself and her “Aca children” Jesse teased

"Don't get ahead of yourself," Iris teased back, but she couldn't help but laugh at Jesse’s face. He had a way of getting her to crack up like no one else.

“Here” The younger girl gave him the chocolate chips, her favorite song started playing, and as she hummed along, her eyes were fixed on Jesse, even as he was still blindfolded. The lyrics "love you like a love song" brought a smile to Iris's face, as she thought about how Jesse made her feel. As she sang in a playful tone, her words "you are beautiful like a dream come alive, incredible" were meant for Jesse, he exhaled and grinned, knowing that Iris wanted to pull him to dance and that he would gladly accept “a centerfold miracle, lyrical you saved my life again”

Iris grabbed Jesse’s hand “and i want you to know baby shake that ass Jessie boy”

“Right back at you miss” As the two sang and twirled around, their voices harmonized perfectly, as if they were made for one another. Jesse was extra careful not to bump into anything as he spun Iris around, making sure that their movements were smooth and effortless, complementing one another perfectly. Both Iris and Jesse felt as if they were one with the song, as the joy and euphoria of their dance together filled the room

Jesse and Iris were unaware that they were each singing to each other, only knowing that the lyrics of the song expressed their shared love and adoration for one another.

They were both singing at the top of their lungs, jamming out to the song. As the lyrics "repeat-peat-peat" came on, Jesse began to tickle Iris lightly. Iris giggled in delight, hitting Jesse's shoulders lightly trying to make him stop. Jesse laughed, finding her playful reactions adorable. Their singing quickly turned into a tickling fight, as Jesse continued to try to tickle Iris, who was trying to make him stop. The playful and intimate atmosphere between the two was undeniable, as they smiled at each other as they sang and giggled.

Jesse grabbed Iris wrist making her look at him, he didn't understand what was possessed him to do this. Jesse worked up the courage to say what he had been feeling. In a soft voice, he said "I like you." Although he hoped that Iris hadn't heard him, she stopped dancing and turned to face him. She started laughing as she pointed to her headphones, indicating that she couldn't hear him.

She can’t hear you, he knew that this could be his chance to make a beautiful confession. Jesse took a deep breath, and his words came pouring out like a stream. "Iris, I like you so much. I've wanted to tell you for so long but-”

“Jesse” she giggled “I can’t hear shit” Jesse gave her a sad smile, at least he confessed. The next 30 minutes were awkward. Neither of them said a single thing, too focused on what the brunette boy said

Iris lets a sigh “and we’re done” she starts to clap in excitement, taking off her headphones Jesse took off his blindfold, his eyes took a few seconds to adjust the lightning “now all we need to is put the cookies in the oven and…”

“And wha-“ Iris leaned forward and planted a soft kiss on Jesse's lips. Jesse was caught off guard by Iris's bold action and remained still in surprise. As she pulled away, his heart was still racing and he had trouble processing the emotions that he was feeling. Iris looked at boy she liked with a mix of embarrassment and upset, as she had hoped that he would enjoy the kiss as much as she had. Iris got her message, Jesse didn't kiss her back which means he didn’t like her. This thought made Iris feel hurt, she thought he was being serious about his feelings for her. Yes, she heard everything

His confession earlier made her knees go weak but she was too shocked to even confess her own feelings, that’s why she decided to play it safe and act like she didn’t hear him

“I-Im sorry I didn-i thought” she embarrassed herself even more by stuttering, she ruined everything, he will probably make fun of her now “Jesse im so-“ she was cut off by Jesse lips crashing into hers

Iris's heart was beating fast as emotions of love and desire flooded her body. Jesse's lips were soft but gentle, and Iris's heart fluttered as she tasted his lips. The moment felt like an eternity, and as their lips parted, Iris's eyes were already filled with tears of joy.

Jesse pulled away from Iris, taking in the sweet moment, as he was also moved by their kiss. Their eyes locked in a moment of understanding and joy, as they both felt that their hearts had finally found each other.

Iris was completely swept away in the moment, her lips clinging back to Jesse's, as she had needed this kiss for so long. Jesse's hold on Iris was tight as his lips kept returning back to hers. As they parted, Jesse kept his gaze on Iris's lips, wanting even more of her sweet scent and flavor. They stood facing each other after their kiss, neither one wanting to be the one to break the spell between them. Their foreheads were touched and their eyes were locked, it was sweet and intimate, and Jesse felt his love for Iris growing with each second passed.

"Never apologize for kissing me, never," Jesse whispered softly to Iris, his voice breaking the spell. Iris was touched by Jesse's words, and they embraced in a loving hug. Kissing Jesse felt like coming home, and Iris's heart was filled with joy.

No, god bless. Which is a little surprising sometimes considering the amount of rpf I've written lmao. But my dsmp writing was never that popular so I should count my blessings.

Sure. I prefer quick and easy fade to blacks which I've done before, but occasionally I write smut.

Oh god. I've never written for it but ngl wolfstar has a soft spot in my heart. But there are so many and for the sake of not providing a documented list of everyone I've shipped before I'll leave it at that.

What's a WIP you want to finish but don't think you ever will?

My Purple Hyacinth fic. I love it so far, but I just got so burnt out in the middle of working on it. And I have trouble picking up fics when I haven't touched them in too long. I still have it outlined and probably like 1/3 of the way done. So I'm holding out a sliver of hope. But realistically, I probably won't finish it.

What are your writing strengths?

Uhhh no idea. Over the years I've definitely seen a lot of improvement in my descriptive style. Showing, not telling. And I think I've gotten a lot better at making my writing compelling. The first time someone told me that my writing made them cry I also cried.

What are you writing weaknesses?

So much. 😭 I find that dialogue often runs away from me and I get sidetracked, or it sounds clunky and unnatural. Also characterization. I tend to want to make my characters 1 million percent soft and huggable and forgetting that they are quite flawed. Also plot. I can write out a series of vignettes like nobody's business but an actual plot is hard. I've only written something with a genuine plot a few times, and only one of those got published.

What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?

It's why I didn't include any of Pavitr speaking in Indian associated languages. I don't want to do a bad job on it, and would be too nervous about accidentally appropriating someone's culture. Or just generally making an ass out of myself by writing something silly. Maybe something to work on?

What was the first fandom you ever wrote for?

Wrote and published? Dsmp. That fic has been deleted (it's for the best) but my first fic on my profile is still a dsmp work. Unpublished, my first fanfiction was probably for the Lunar Chronicles. Specifically Cress and Thorne.

What's your favorite fic you've ever written?

Love Causes Trouble

It is not the most popular of my fics by a long shot, but it's one of my favorites. If I went back and rewrote it there are a lot of things I would change about it. A lot. It's very imperfect but I'm just such a slut for 60s/70s queer love, for artists and writers falling in love and for tragic endings. A bit kill your gays, but I'm at peace with that.

I also like this one because it has a few personal ties to me and because it got such a good reception. I got so many comments saying that this helped them process their grief or it was really cathartic to read so it means a lot to me.

the thing with puppy jihyo is that nayeon is all of the good that she knows. like, she has been abandoned before so putting on trust and liking someone can be hard. she likes sana because sana pets and spoils her, she likes momo because momo is always bonding with her through cooking for her, playing with her and all that. mina is pretty straightforward, a hybrid friend. now, yoo jeongyeon? yoo jeongyeon has been annoying since day 1, and then jihyo got jealous of her with nayeon.

so trusting jeongyeon was a bit hard, getting to like her as well. but now jihyo just holds herself back really because she already likes jeongyeon a LOT and just hasn't realized it yet (perhaps she has and now she's just ignoring it like the stubborn puppy she can be)... i mean she loves jeongyeon's cuddles, her food, giving her kisses on the cheek and specifically being spoiled by her. jihyo LOVES the amount of praise she gets with jeongyeon.

and at some point though jihyo stops comparing her with nayeon bc we know nayeon is jihyo's definition of love and good but jeongyeon is perfect on her own.. jeongyeon is not like sana or momo or mina and certainly not like nayeon, and jihyo still finds herself seeking for jeongyeon's attention and the love she offers while nayeon isn't there to give it to her (properly)... and then, even after nayeon comes back jihyo will keep seeking for it because her heart is happy when she's next to jeongyeon 🥺

I LOVE a good deal so whenever I have time/energy I am in there! I forgot that you were like a full on young adult when they were popular which makes more sense because although it was definitely a CHOICE on my end I was a child lol. BUT I understand why you were hesitant and that's okay!

I GET IT SO MUCH ABOUT BEING EMOTIONAL!! And it hard to have so much love to give yet the people who you want to show it too don't accept it or it's just not expressed in a way that feels like its for you. For me it was never a historical series but the series which portrayed PTSD in the most reliable way (as knowing it myself) and that made Tommy so damn intriguing for me (also Cillian mentioned that as well how the series more focused on that and that’s why he enjoyed playing Tommy so much so that made me proud that I didn’t interpret it wrong). I’m somehow proud you saw that connection cause on the outside we don’t have much in common but on the inside I absolutely understand his messed up mind. You were supposed to hate Madara Uchiha. After all, your fiancé, Tobirama Senju, certainly did; in fact, he held a hatred for the entire Uchiha clan that had fought against his own for centuries, killing many of his friends and family in the process.

And yet you couldn’t help but feel drawn to the dark-haired man. As the prime advisor to the Hokage, Tobirama was often swamped with work, spending long nights at the Hokage’s office and remaining locked away in his office for the entirety of the little time he had at home. But Madara, despite his responsibilities as the Uchiha clan head, never seemed too busy for you. He frequently patronized the small bakery you worked at, and had even caused a major increase in customers, most of them Uchiha who had heard Madara’s glowing recommendation of the place. He always made small talk with you at the counter, making sure to come during hours when the shop wasn’t busy to maximize his time talking to you. He would always ask you about your day, seeming genuinely interested in everything you had to say -- a stark comparison to Tobirama, who seemed annoyed when you said more than a sentence to him. You knew he was busy, but still…

“He’s just using you, you know that,” Mito said. The two of you were sitting on a bench in the park, eating sweet chestnuts. Due to her status as the wife of Tobirama’s older brother, Hashirama, you and Mito had grown close during your courtship with Tobirama, and she felt like an older sister to you.

You sighed, turning a chestnut between your fingers. “Probably. But he actually pays attention to me. I can’t help but feel like I’m just a bother to Tobirama.”

Mito placed a hand on your shoulder. “You’re not. He just doesn’t show much affection, is all. You see the way he treats his own brother.” She smiled at you, and you smiled back. It was hard to believe Tobirama was the younger of the two -- he was constantly reprimanding Hashirama, and was an omnipresent stern figure in the background of all of the Hokage’s meetings and other interactions.

“That’s true,” you said, taking a bite of chestnut. “And yet, I can’t help but wish for more.”

Mito sighed. “That’s just the life of an important man’s wife, unfortunately.” You turned to her, seeing sadness in her eyes that didn’t match her soft smile. “But we have each other, and I’m sure Tobirama will show you more affection eventually. He’s probably nervous to go too far at this stage, that’s all.”

You nodded. Nervous -- that’s it, right?

“You know, an important woman such as you should be doing something better with her time than working at a bakery.” You smiled toward Madara, who had just strolled through the door of your workplace.

“I like it here, actually,” you said, feigning irritation. “Anyway, my boss is in the back, so you probably shouldn’t be insulting his shop.”

Madara chuckled. “I’m only kidding, he knows that.” He leaned across the counter, fixing his easy smile on you. “The usual, please.” You nodded, turning to the shelf behind you to grab the freshest danish you could find and placing it in a bag. You turned back around and handed it to him with a smile, and for an instant his fingers brushed yours, a sensation you were all too aware of. Warmth began to flood your chest, as if Madara had injected electricity through your veins and ignited your heart.

“How’s your fiancé?”

The question shocked you back into reality, and you paused for a moment to gather yourself before answering. “He’s doing well, thank you.”

“Still treating you right?” Your mouth felt dry. You felt conflicted between two answers -- the socially appropriate one and the truth. Madara’s gaze on you felt too strong, and you felt small in that moment as Mito’s words echoed in your mind: he’s just using you, you know that.

You nodded, a bit too curtly, and typed in the total to the register. “That’ll be 300 ryo, please.” Madara dropped the coins easily into your hand, and you placed them in the drawer, not daring to meet his eyes.

He leaned in closer, so close you could see a glint of light reflecting off his pupils. “Well, if he’s not, you know where to find me.” With a wink, he left, the door shutting behind him before your thoughts could catch up to the pounding beat of your heart.

You balanced the basket of scones in the crook of your arm as you knocked on the door to the Hokage’s office. You heard a sigh -- not dramatically loud, but loud enough for you to perceive -- emanate from behind the door, and footsteps headed toward you.

Your fiancé opened the door, only enough to show his slim figure and a tiny window into the mess of his brother’s office. “Oh, Y/n. What do you need?” He seemed irritated, and you bristled a bit.

“I brought some afternoon scones for you,” you said, offering him the basket. “I wanted to check in on you and see if you were still available to go out to dinner with me tonight.”

Tobirama sighed, placing a hand across his face and rubbing his temples. “Is it Thursday already?” He dropped his hand and looked you in the eyes, and you noticed just how bloodshot his own eyes were. “I can’t today. We have too much work to prepare for the next summit.”

Your heart dropped, but you nodded anyway, pressing your lips together. “I understand. Just let me know when you’re available to see me.”

Tobirama nodded shortly and closed the door in your face once more, his footsteps receding into the far end of the office. You switched the basket of scones to your other arm and walked back the way you had come, feeling your face burn and your eyes sting with the beginning of tears.

You didn’t know where you were heading, exactly; once you exited the building in which the Hokage’s office was housed, you had just walked, keeping your face low to the ground in case any tears threatened to spill out. It wasn’t until about a half hour later that you came to your senses and realized you were in the Uchiha district.

“Y/n?” a familiar voice called. You looked up to see Madara walking toward you. He stopped just in front of you, smiling down at you. “What brings you here?”

Despite your best efforts to control yourself, you felt your lower lip poke out and your eyes begin to water. You turned your face to the ground, biting your lip in an attempt to make the tears stop. A soft hand gripped your shoulder gently, its warm presence beginning to drip comfort into your body.

“I see. Come with me.”

You kept your head down as Madara led you, his hand still resting on your shoulder. You didn’t know where you were going, and part of you didn’t want to know. What I’m doing is wrong, said a voice in your head. And yet, you didn’t want to leave.

“Here.” You looked up to see a house, small yet decorated well enough to showcase the wealth of the owner. You stood just in front of the front steps, and watched as Madara walked up them and opened the front door. “Come, let me make you some tea.”

The logical part of your brain was practically screaming at you to turn around, reminding you of the myriad of consequences that would result from Tobirama Senju’s fiancé entering Madara Uchiha’s house. And yet, you silenced that voice, feeling your body move almost of its own accord up the steps and through Madara Uchiha’s front door.

You slipped off your shoes and took a moment to pause and take in your surroundings. Madara closed the front door behind you and walked over toward the kitchen, grabbing a tea kettle. “Make yourself comfortable,” he said with a wink, gesturing toward the couch. I could leave now, you thought to yourself. I’ll just say I was confused or something. I could come up with an excuse. And yet, your body moved itself again, walking you to the couch and sitting down on the comfortable cushions. You heard Madara fill the kettle with water and set it on the stove, turning on the heat. Still in a daze, you watched mindlessly as he walked over to you, sitting directly next to you on the couch -- and much closer than was socially acceptable.

“So, what’s the matter?” He leaned in closely, and you felt alarms go off in your mind. I shouldn’t be here. This is wrong. But a greater part of you didn’t care. You were acutely aware of the warmth of Madara’s body next to yours, and it made you feel like every part of your body was alight with electricity, a feeling that Tobirama’s presence had never brought you.

You looked into his deep, dark eyes, feeling a strange, yet warm sensation rush over your body. Do I tell him the truth? You decided you were in too deep now not to tell him. “It’s Tobirama. He never has time for me, and it makes me feel like I don’t matter to him.” You dropped your gaze to your lap, no longer able to look Madara in the eye. He placed a hand on your knee, and you felt the warmth race through your body as your mind screamed at you to move his hand, to leave right that moment.

“I’m sorry to hear that,” he said, his tone completely different than a moment before. It was darker now, almost predatory, and Mito’s warning once again echoed in your mind. He’s using me. He wants me so he can embarrass Tobirama.

But what do I want?

Lost in your thoughts, you barely noticed Madara’s hand move up, gently moving your chin to look into his face.

“I always have time for you, Y/n. Why not be mine instead?”

ok, so about our flag means death

it’s a cute little pirate show that follows through with the queer and comedic thematic in the best way possible. i can’t really say much without spoiling things, but the way the show builds up is so great. it took me some convincing to get past the first three episodes because the secondhand embarrassment i felt from stede bonnet was too much, but then blackbeard showed at the end of the third ep and i was like “alright, let’s see what happens”. no regrets on my part 🤩😍

about you getting jim and mary… from what we see of mary bonnet in later episodes, i absolutely agree with her being your result. parts of jim too! as for izzy… the last two episodes kinda confirmed my view of him? while i do understand where he’s coming from, i find it hard to relate him to you. izzy has a hard time letting go of the past, and because he’s so set on his ways and clinging to the glorious days of “fearsome blackbeard”, he does everything he can to bring that version of the man back, and he manages to in the end! but not by good means. i mean, stede helps, too, but that’s a whole other matter (spoilers). izzy wants to go back to something that’s no longer there, and he keeps pushing until something breaks. he’s very dependent on blackbeard, i think, because in a lot of scenes it’s shown how his main view of self relies on how he sees himself in being blackbeard’s right hand.

i’m just really passionate about the series but don’t wanna spoil anything to anyone and don’t want to write an essay about it either 😂😂 i could go a bit more in-depth about mary and jim if you want?

about the fashion style: no because same?? i went with pretty bland ones too, but like, darker™ 😎so it’s safe to assume you don’t dress in bolder colors? 😂about oluwande… he’s the most sensible character in the show imo. i’d trust him with my life, just like jim does. he’s very wholesome. i think you’d like him 😊
