January 6th, like many of the school shootings, was known about and allowed to happen so they could pass harsher laws.
You fucking idiots keep saying that it was a terrorist attack. Or it was treason. Shut the fuck up. We are an oligarchy. It's terrible. At one point we're going to have to March up there and arrest all these people who allowed Epstein's Island to go unchecked, and still do. But now because of January 6th being allowed to happen, they'll basically arrest anyone who tries to hold our government or rich people accountable. Do you not see that? The stupid Trump people were allowed to do what they did so anybody who actually has a legitimate moral reason in the future to march on DC and arrest people are instantly arrested and thrown in a hole. Maybe even killed. You idiots don't seem to study history. This was a test and you fucking failed.

Former Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) told Colorado College graduates in a commencement speech Sunday the U.S. "cannot remain a free nation if we abandon the truth," as she took aim at fellow Republicans and former President Trump.
What She's Saying: "My fellow Republicans wanted me to lie. They wanted me to say the 2020 election was stolen, the attack of Jan. 6th wasn't a big deal, and Donald Trump wasn't dangerous," said the former vice chair of the Jan. 6 panel that investigated the Capitol riot, who hasn't ruled out running for President in the 2024 election.
• "I had to choose between lying and losing my position in House leadership," continued Cheney, who was ousted as the No. 3 House Republican after she called out Trump's false election claims.
• "As I spoke to my colleagues on my last morning as chair of the Republican conference, I told them that if they wanted a leader who would lie, they should choose someone else," added the 1988 Colorado College graduate.
• "No party, no nation, no people can defend and perpetuate a constitutional republic if they accept leaders who have gone to war with the rule of law, with the democratic process, with the peaceful transfer of power, with the Constitution itself."
Of Note: While most applauded Cheney's commencement speech, about half of the 450 graduates turned their chairs so they showed their backs to the now-University of Virginia professor in protest against her voting history on issues including LGBTQ+ rights, per The Gazette.
Meanwhile, Cheney called on more women to take up office.
• "You may have noticed that men are pretty much running things these days, and it’s not really going all that well," she said. "You can change that."

“WASHINGTON (AP) — Rioters who smashed their way into the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, succeeded — at least temporarily — in delaying the certification of Joe Biden’s election to the White House.
Hours before, Rep. Jim Jordan had been trying to achieve the same thing.
Texting with then-White House chief of staff Mark Meadows, a close ally and friend, at nearly midnight on Jan. 5, Jordan offered a legal rationale for what President Donald Trump was publicly demanding — that Vice President Mike Pence, in his ceremonial role presiding over the electoral count, somehow assert the authority to reject electors from Biden-won states.
Pence “should call out all electoral votes that he believes are unconstitutional as no electoral votes at all,” Jordan wrote.
“I have pushed for this,” Meadows replied. “Not sure it is going to happen.”
The text exchange, in an April 22 court filing from the congressional panel investigating the Jan. 6 riot, is in a batch of startling evidence that shows the deep involvement of some House Republicans in Trump’s desperate attempt to stay in power. A review of the evidence finds new details about how, long before the attack on the Capitol unfolded, several GOP lawmakers were participating directly in Trump’s campaign to reverse the results of a free and fair election.”

Fmr Acting Defense Chief: Felt 'Threatened' by Jan. 6 Panel
Tumblr media
Former acting Defense Secretary Christopher Miller, who served in the final months of Donald Trump's administration, said he felt "threatened" by the Democrat-led Jan. 6 select committee over his assertion that the former president did indeed authorize deployment of the National Guard during the Capitol Hill riots.
Miller told the Daily Mail that Trump verbally authorized him to mobilize the National Guard during a meeting on Jan. 3, 2021. However, that assertion — and his sworn testimony to the committee — contradicted the narrative that the Jan. 6 panel was pushing, Miller said.
Because of that, Miller told the outlet, he "definitely interpreted" the panel would "make my life hell" if he kept going on TV to press the truth and defend Trump's actions.
Barry Loudermilk, R-Ga., chair of the Committee on House Administration's Subcommittee on Oversight, said last week that the Jan. 6 panel suppressed testimony from a former White House deputy chief of staff who testified that Trump was "willing to ask" for 10,000 National Guard troops to protect the Capitol.
At issue is whether Washington, D.C., Mayor Muriel Bowser turned down the offer of the National Guard, opting instead for unarmed guards. The select committee concluded that Trump didn't order the deployment of troops before or during the riots.
Miller, who was on the job for two months at the time of the riots, told the Daily Mail that one particular interview he gave in June 2022 "hit a nerve" with the committee.
"The next day my lawyer got a call from the Jan. 6 staff director — I forgot exactly who it was — but basically saying, very legalistic: 'Well, if your client has additional information he wants to share, we'd be happy to have him re-interviewed,'" Miller told the outlet.
"It was more that latent threat of, If you want to keep going on TV, we're gonna drag you in here again for additional hours of hearing testimony. So that was the nature of that whole thing," he added.
Further, Miller said he went so far as to not discuss his feelings about the committee so as not to open "up a whole can of worms with the investigators."
"It was much easier just to not be involved with anybody or talk to anybody about this stuff because it was going to cause conflict and difficulties with the investigating team," he told the outlet.
Loudermilk asserted that the Jan. 6 committee suppressed testimony from Anthony Ornato that proved Trump's intent on the National Guard.
"Mr. Ornato's testimony proves what Mr. [Mark] Meadows has said all along, President Trump did in fact offer 10,000 National Guard troops to secure the U.S. Capitol, which was turned down," Loudermilk said in a statement.
