Ji Seungwan deserved so much better than what the show’s ending did to her.

A lot of us had issue with the 25 21 ending because of what happened with Baekdo, and rightfully so (god they deserved sm better - you guys probably know that Heerim was my OTP but a girl can multiship, okay??? Baekdo was so so cute), but what really gets me is Seungwan’s ending. I and everyone else who’s watched through the show know that the ending the writer was going for was one that showed that perfect endings just aren’t feasible, and of course they aren’t always - but her ending just felt so bleak. Seungwan had so much drive and passion, I really thought her subplot with dropping out of school (an absolute power move considering she was the class’s top student and benefited from the system) would go somewhere, same with her DJ show/podcast/thing - she’s always been so passionate about having the youth stand up for themselves instead of conforming and buckling to the harmful study culture in high schools. I really was rooting for her sm and wanted her to chase her passions and live life to the fullest. Her future career being so bleak and soul-sucking didn’t sit well with me, since her character was all about defying the monotony and bleakness of societal expectations. And then for her to reunite with Yijin’s younger brother and for the show to imply that they get together (i understand him having a puppy crush on her but why on Earth would she have any reason… I don’t get it)? No. That’s disrespectful as fuck to her character. Why imply that the entrance of this man (who she’s barely spoken to) in her life is the one thing that turns her life around and makes her happy? Even during the ‘field trip’ plot, where she said something like ‘I’ll wait for you’ to the younger brother made me so uncomfortable, that was just so out of character for her, and I could tell they were going to try shoehorn in that romance at the very end and was right. I hate it, I hate it so much. It’s the exact opposite of empowering, which is what her character was to me. Ji Seungwan my beloved you deserve so much better than this.

So I talked to this person who knows a lot of erigoms and they all said that some Korean sources told them Ji is indeed dating Lee Ji/ni the model you posted about the other day and they've been dating for over a year now, and they dated in 2019 during Jen+/kai Era that's why Jin ended the Jen+kai scandal so quick because Lee Ji/ni was upset with that. And she said that Lee Ji/ni is a very close friend with A guy called jaeyong and this jaeyong guy is Moon/kyu's bestfriend and he was with Ji and Moonkyu during their trip to Cebu with Ra/vi and Sungwan . And it's Moon/Kyu who introduced Lee Ji/ni to Ji through their mutual friend Jae/Yong whomst is also friends with Ji because Moonkyu introduced him to Ji before and Lee Ji/ni is his Jaeyong's bestfriend so she hangout with them a lot and then Ji liked her and asked Moon/kyu and Jaeyong to set them up in a date. And that Ji went to a vacation with her alone and with the boys I mean she was there with them during their trip to Cebu just so that it won't look suspicious she went with him along with Ra/vi , moon/Kyu and seungwan and JAE. Seungwan her arc and character meant and still means so much to me, trying to shoe-horn in a love interest for her upset me more than anything else in the finale tbh. Like what do you MEAN she ends up only finding happiness in life when Yijin’s brother comes back bc he is now old enough to date 🤢 like HELLO I have never seen more blatant character assassination and disrespect to a character arc in my LIFE omg. yuram’s a terror before she gets yubi, the sort to get into playground brawls & play dumb pranks. that annoying kid who likes to ask but why tho when she’s told no. extremely bored of being a goody two shoes like her parents so she turns around & is no shoes gremlin

anyway she’s born with a funky looking birthmark that turns into symbiotic ink when some kid breaks their pen & splatters her with ink, around age ten-ish. enter: yubi!

other symbie facts! yubi’s personality fluctuates depending on what kind of ink yuram uses to build them up, but they’ve got a solid lawful good base. they aren’t always awake; if there’s too little ink on yuram, the symbiote just hibernates/goes dormant. they communicate telepathically but yubi can either borrow yuram’s mouth or pass notes to other people to talk to them. their big venom form is a huge mass of inkperson, pitch black; kinda scary but they only use that form for sneaking around, non-combative even though yuram wishes they were. ( but someday... 😉 )

Sasaki sat across the principal’s desk, her bag thrown to the chair next to hers, ❝What's up?❞ this left the principal speechless for a mere second. How could she disrespect her like that?

❝Miss Sasaki. Would you please sit properly before I lose my patience?❞ of course the teenager decided to ignore that and simply shrugged. ❝Miss Sasaki! That's enough. Do you wish to get suspended?❞

❝Oh please, my father is one of the school's biggest donors. I wouldn't dare mess with his child..❞ she read her name on the big golden tag on the desk, ❝Choi Soo-young.❞

❝Excuse me?❞ the older female spoke raising an eyebrow at such boldness.

❝You heard me. He'll quit donating immediately. As well as Mr. Son and Mr. Kang.❞ the principal's eyes widened at that. Losing the school's major donors just wouldn't do.

❝You're excused.❞ was all she said once she composed herself and Himari smirked victoriously as she rose from the chair collecting her bag.

❝This was fun. See you next time!❞ she stated walking out of the office only to be met by the three girls.

❝Sweetie, could you get us a coffee?❞ Sasaki spoke now facing Jisoo as she handed the girl her credit card. ❝Make sure you get some for yourself too.❞

The girl nodded and off she went to get what they asked for. Of course that in the meantime the girls managed to get themselves into a lot more trouble with their mischievous doings.

Now, the three girls plus the quiet kid sat in detention and while Seulgi doodled on her sketchbook, Seungwan and Himari had their feet on the desks, playing on their phones.

❝Aish, Seulgi-ssi. Please, don't tell me that's who I think it is.❞ Sasaki spoke, suddenly standing behind her with elbows resting on her shoulders as her head peaked from one of the sides at the drawing, startling the petite female. ❝Yah! Wendy-ssi! Come see this.❞

❝Aish... You startled me! Wha– No, don't call her.❞

Snatching the sketchbook from Seulgi, Seungwan spoke ❝Aigo. Our naive bear as a crush on a girl!❞ she teased staring at the drawing.

❝Give it back! So what if I do? Joo-hyun’s beautiful! I like how she's not scared of us...❞ Kang snatched the sketchbook back, closing it and tossing it into her bag before her eyes widened and her cheeks instantly flushed red at the sight of the senior standing there with her mouth agape and her cheeks a slight tint of pink.

With a smirk, Wendy made her way towards Joo-hyun, ❝Well, well, well, did you get yourself into detention too? Aigo! It's destined!❞

❝Hey, leave her... You heard her before... I've got zero chance with her...❞ Seulgi muttered the last part under her breath but Son ignored and took Bae by the wrist, dragging her towards Seulgi. ❝Aish.. What are you doing? Are you trying to hurt her?❞ she hissed, swatting Wendy's hand away from Joo-hyun's wrist.

❝I—❞ before Seungwan could finish, Sasaki yanked her back and dragged her to the front of the classroom.

❝Yah! What was that for!? Aish...❞ Wendy grumbled, crossing her arms.

❝Just shut up and enjoy the show. I haven't seen shy Seulgi trying to flirt with a crush since years ago.❞ Himari stated, handing her a chocolate bar.
