Conlan- I think I'm the only person who really really dislikes this kid. He's just a Gary Stu/Special snowflake kid. And yes i know both sides of his parentage are special blah blah blah, and then you have Roland saying that ''He's learning faster than anyone in my memory'', the kid just lacks personality. I'm just over these UF/PNR authors writing special snowflake babies.

Jim - Wow, the authors really hate Jim. I mean, they basically made Jim fail to make Curran look better as Beast Lord and for his eventual return. I feel like I'm being gaslighted into disliking him.

Hugh - Kate calling him ‘cousin’ pretty much confirms that Erra as his mother. I NEED MORE HUGH!

The dialogue was really smooth flowing and snappy, but i really think there is a lack of emotional depth in their writing. It's like everything is emotionally shallow. I don't know how to explain it.

I'm so mad at Jim for what he said and how he's treating Kate in this book. After everything they've been through, after everything Kate's done for him, for the pack, for Atlanta. After she's fought and bleed and almost died numerous times. After 10 years of, what Kate thought at least, of friendship he says he'll kill her if she puts a foot wrong. Despite Kate never doing anything bad or never showing signs of becoming like Roland. I just find it so hurtful towards Kate. I know Jim's, Jim and he's paranoid and not exactly warm and caring but I don't think I can forgive him for it. Where is the loyalty, where is benefit of the doubt
