With most of everyone coupled up even long before the countdown to midnight began, it was obvious who was planning on kissing who once the New Year hits. Even Peter, who was the biggest wildcard of their bunch in terms of how he could’ve celebrated this upcoming year, had attached himself to Wendy for most of the night and with the way the two had been mingling with one another, it was safe to assume that Wendy was who Peter wanted to kiss at the struck of midnight. A realization that no doubt had pained one of her closes friends if the looks she had seen Tink give the pair was any indication. But after giving some advice to Tootles and encouraging him to go up to her best friend—both as a means to distract her but also because he sure as hell would be able to cheer her spitfire of a friend up—that then left Fawn back to her current own dilemma. Who should she kiss at midnight?

There was only a handful of choices left, and none of them were bad ones. She could go up to one of the twins—or even both and just make sure to plant a big one on their cheeks rather than lips in fairness as she was sure neither Duke or Benji would mind if she asked. Or maybe she could go up to the youngest Darling, Michael, and give him a small peck instead? She bets his reaction to even just a small kiss would be fun, and from that thought alone, the brunette almost considered it. But as she looked around the room for him, another Darling caught her eye. John. Standing at the other side of the room, she watched as the person he had been conversing with walk away (the person most likely heading towards the partner they were planning on kissing for the night), leaving the middle of the biological Darling siblings alone. Staring at him, it struck her that he was an option as well. It also hit her that this could be one of her only chances to actually get to kiss him if she were to go up to him and ask.

Without a second thought, Fawn made her way to him, and once her eye caught his, the brunette smiled. “Noticed you were left alone, and thought 'we can't have that', so I came over to join you. You don't mind, do you?.” She replied, sliding into place right next to him. “That, and it’s almost midnight. A brand new year, you excited?”

“Is it?” Tugging at the ends of the shirt to take a good look at it as if he hadn’t inspected it earlier before putting it on, it was clear as day due to the smile that soon sported onto Michael’s face that he knew for a fact, this shirt belonged to John. But he wasn’t going to admit to that yet. Instead, the younger of the two glanced back at his brother and cheekily smiled at him. “Hmm, I don’t know. Pretty sure that this shirt belonged to me! I found it in the laundry basket, so it has to be mines!” Michael stated, choosing not to elaborate which laundry basket he discover the shirt from, nor how he and his siblings alternate when it came to doing the families laundry. For all anyone knew, he could’ve snatched the shirt from John’s pile and hoarded it within his closet until now. Wouldn’t even be the first time Michael has stolen a clothing item from one of his siblings.

John 1:1-4 - all things were made by it!

Whittingham's, Tyndale's etc, translations before the KJV Translated John 1:1-4 without capital 'w' Instead of translating using 'him' they used 'it'

All things were made by 'it' Without 'it' nothing was made!

These translators understood a word is an 'it' not a 'him' These translators understood a word is 'Something said/written', not a person!

In John 1 it says "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God."

So b/c of this "Truth" let us strive to live the Word from the beginning of everyday knowing that He IS the Word and is with us as we are becoming the living Word. Lord help us to hold our Swords The Word of God close to our hearts mediating on it applying it and never forgetting who we are in you. We are yours the Bride of Christ your Beloved.

Saint Bartholomew the Apostle

1st C. Feast Day: August 24 Patronage: against neurological disease, bookbinders, butchers, shoemakers, leather workers and tanners, plasterers, Florentine cheese and salt merchants, Armenia

Saint Bartholomew, one of the twelve Apostles, was introduced by St. Philip to Jesus, who said “Behold, an Israelite in whom there is no guile.” (John1:43-51) His name means “son of Tolomai” and he preached the Gospel in India, Mesopotamia, and Armenia. St. Bartholomew was martyred by being flayed and beheaded. His relics are in Rome, Sicily, and Benevento, Italy, Frankfurt, Germany and Canterbury, England.
