the amount of smtiv stuff i write that i dont post is actually sort of amazing. like ive posted over 75k of smtiv related work but i also work on tons that i just don’t post or isn’t ready for posting. like....the document im working on right NOW is one that won’t be posted. i love it.

tbh though a huge part of my internal validation is in writing privately, like i love posting, but ONLY posting and only writing things that i would post is never something I would really enjoy. so i really like that i get to work and polish work and create without it becoming a public work.

its also just a sign of how much smtiv is to me, that i can find full fulfillment in just writing and sharing it with a friend or two.

I HONESTLY HAVENT THOUGHT ABT THEM IN A BIT I NEED TO REWIRE MY BRAIN AND REFRESH MYSELF HOLD ON...OK. listen its about the. they both construct intricate fantasies where the other just Comes to their senses and joins their side and they go and rule the world together and everything is fine and back the way it used to be again right guys! and thast the fucking thing when youre in an incredibly restrictive society and never given the opportunity to question your views or see another world is possible. is that you get along really well with someone with wildly different political opinions than you. so its easy to idolize that innocent life beforehand and blame the demons that manipulated them (true, but not the point) and view yourself as, yknow, a righteous samurai on a noble quest from god, or a brave underdog changing society for the better, and basically just view going against them as an inevitability. obviously this makes jonawalter the #1 divorce pairing of all time. i personally love the bit in blasted/infernal tokyo where theyre both like Yeah im not gonna acknowledge that i/you tried to open the portal to the demon dimension and also we have differing memories of the same incident.Because i really want to argue about you about ideological differences. Like old times sake. its honestly so . ADJECTIVE to me that they slip so easily into their old banter after all of that despite being very uneasy and continuing to say more and more extreme things in response to what theyre seeing the tension is SO high but they are both like. trying not to acknowledge how much they already missed this and trying to cling to normalcy just like theyre on a quest together again and nothing bad is happening. WAIT I JUST REALIZED SOMETHING. if they both think flynn is on their respective routes, after you are route locked, for example if youre on law, you kill kenji, deny the white, go with jonathan meet gabriel in the white forest the whole thing. when you get back to tokyo. did walter see that? did THAT walter actually go with them to blasted tokyo or since you didnt choose him, does that walter no longer exist?? oh man. im gonna post this and then reblog if i think of anything later

Another part of Valentine's day, is me spamming Tatsunao, my absolute OTP with Jonawalter being second!

I really, really love this ship so much! The dynamic between these two protags really resonated with me. Both have the desire to protect the people they love, both are kind and strong... They are the same yet their situations are different.

I like to imagine Naoya is the initiator, if he wasn't too oblivious lol, while Tatsuya is more the one receiving it, though he does his share of the relationship.

Also they could be a badass couple too, they both punched Gods at one point in their mission and killed people, except Tatsuya killed more than Naoya---

Anyway, I just love this ship to bits and I really wish the fandom acknowledges it more because they have good potential as a ship!
