I often wonder about the crews of the rws/ttte universe and what they're like and how they handle the shit their engines pull especially in specials where like. Really insane things happen.

For instance. Does Frankie and Hurricane kidnapping Thomas also count as them kidnapping his crew. can the fat controller sue the steelworks and its employees for trapping his employees as well as his engines. Many such cases.

Unpopular opinion (?): Percy should have tagged along with James in his mission to find Thomas in Journey beyond Sodor.

(Not saying this is fact but) From what I’ve heard journey beyond Sodor was supposed to be the END of the Thomas series as a whole but then bwba came along and they kept making more episodes

And what better way to have a great send off to the beloved Thomas and friends series is to include the main character’s BEST FRIEND in the big adventure of the movie.

And I don’t know about y’all but I am absolutely STARVED of the Percy and James dynamic.

Percy saving James from the landslide in tale of the brave and the fruitful day episode weren’t enough I need MORE of them being friends and doing silly stupid shit and bickering like an old married couple.

I can imagine Percy being extremely worried for Thomas but also being extremely suspicious of James because James has never really been this concerned whenever Thomas goes missing. And why Thomas SPECIFICALLY took James’s cars.

And eventually Percy just comes up to James and is like “what the FUCK did you say/do to Thomas that made him runaway with YOUR cars?” And James is just like “Bitch I don’t fucking know???”

sometimes I think that the drivers and firemen for the engines just let them do what they want. like when James went to go rescue Thomas in Journey Beyond Sodor, did they agree that they needed to do that or did they just go "oh well, this big red softie wants to rescue his friend, might as well drive him there." i have to know what goes on in their heads sometimes. maybe im overthinking this

Random Interesting Facts About Characters In The Main Story AU (A.K.A me pointing at the changes of movies in my AU)

Thomas And The Magic Railroad is canonically the first novel made for the TTTE franchise, but the engines were very upset because of how false it was in contrast to what actually happened. Edward should've been the main character, because he started the real life story in the first place. Him finding Lady in that old shed led to the investigation of the old railway she used to work in and why it disappeared so suddenly. There was no magic or big event even involved, time had simply caught up to them and that's what made his adventure so eventful. (Pointing at TATMR which is known as Edward And The Magic Railway, which takes a darker turn with the reality of life but the small metaphorical magic in it in this AU)

There was once a time where Diesels and Steamies had gone against each other, which was usually considered normal because it happens often but this time the stakes had gone higher. Many death threats and violence were involved, and not even Sir Topham Hatt knew about this. Percy didn't like diesels because most of the time they teased him and made fun of him, but not even his steam friends treated him any better. But with the help of Lady, Edward, BoCo, and Rusty, he created a third side which acted as a peaceful paradise to both sides. In the end, it was trashed over by a steam engine as he pretended to stand by Percy's side and planned to demolish all Diesels, including Mavis, Bear and Daisy. (Pointing at Day Of The Diesels/Calling All Engines, which takes a darker turn with violence between groups of different traits and why it's pointless and harmful)

Gordon became Sodor's first representative in the Great Race at the Great Railway Show against his brother, The Flying Scotsman, which sparked a lot of gossip and controversy because: 1, they didn't know Scotsman had a brother; 2, he was from Sodor and said country was very new to this event and was therefore underestimated and ; 3, he was also going against Spencer. Gordon couldn't help but feel upset that Spencer assumed that he wanted to go against Scotsman because he was jealous of his fame, but in reality he already grew out of that phase and he just hated how distant they grew after they first met and thought Scotsman valued his reputation more than his only family. He joined the race to get his attention. (Pointing at The Great Race, which becomes a Gordon centric movie about his family issues with Scotsman)

Oliver once went missing because he'd gone to the mainland to find a lost Toad who was currently kidnapped by Frankie and Hurricane. The Little Western first took notice and Douglas was the one who went out to find him, only to find danger on the way as there were certain engines who knew that he and Ollie were long-time stowaways (Pointing at Journey Beyond Sodor, which is now an Oliver centric movie about him turning back to his past with Douglas, and takes a darker turn with the theme of facing your fears and becoming a stronger person than you were before)

After a very malicious Mallard came to Sodor and started insulting everyone, next thing you know Henry and him are now racing to who knows where and he accidentally gets on the wrong track and meets a very old Japanese engine, Hiro. He empathizes with him because he knows what it feels like to be abandoned and forgotten for being dysfunctional and whatdaya know? It's first love at sight! Because he goes out of his way to fix him and hide him from the Fat Controller and Mallard at the same time. What a guy :> (Pointing at Hero Of The Rails, which turns into a Henry centric movie because both him and Hiro suffer from abandonment issues)

Thomas was sent to the Mainland for a simple task but his return to Sodor was greatly disrupted by an Australian car who started to drag him from country to country because of misinterpretations of the blue puffball on TV and simultaneously starts making friends with people across the world and keeps an unemployed Kenyan engine who watches his back (Pointing at the horrid Big World Big Adventures which is actually the movie that plays on the most craziest way to get lost)
