what made you pick up the current muse(s) you have? ━━ This is going to sound incredibly basic, but it was Caitlyn's depiction in the Warriors cinematic. Before that Cait was always shown in her awful stripper parody of herself costume, so seeing her be so cool while at the same time getting the itch to get back into RP was a perfect combination. And I'm glad too, cause I started writing a few moments before she became extremely popular cause of her ASU and Arcane, so I always have some food and inspiration!

is there anything you don’t like to write? ━━ Not per se? I tend to be open to a lot of stuff depending on the partner I am writing with. If it counts, I guess I don't like being thrusted into a position where I HAVE to write something I'm not comfortable with without my partner having double checked.

is there anything you really enjoy writing? ━━ I'm going to be real with you chief, I like writing dumb shit. It's just fun, I try to both have fun with my writing and make others have fun as well. I love angst, I love smut, I love fluff, I adore all of it, but funny stuff? Comedy? Oh that's my jam, I am here for the memes.

how do you come up with headcanons? ━━70% of the time it's usually me talking to other people and a subject with be brought up, like amount of languages learnt, or instruments, and such and I end up thinking how does Cait relate. The other 30% it's actually something I have completly stolen from other media lol. I will just see something that jumps at me and think 'Oh Cait can do that too'

do you write in silence or do you play music?  ━━ I tend to write in silence, if nothing else because listening to music while writing makes my brain's wires get mixed. There are times when I listen to music, but it's more for ideation and inspiration.

do you plan your replies or wing them? ━━I tend to wing it! I ask beforehand if we have a plan for the specific thread, and if so I try to steer it in that direction, but for the most part I don't know what I will do until I get behind the keyboard.

what made you pick up the current muse(s) you have?

because he's handsome? and he has a great personality? haha, memes aside, I love Fallen Order and Survivor. at first, I shit you not, I didn't wanna play Fallen Order because of that GIANT! STUPID! FROG! so I stopped playing but started to really love Cal because I thought he was super cute? and then I was like, "Yeah, no, I can't keep talking about him without having played the game," and was even more motivated to finish it with Survivor coming around the corner.

the reason why I chose him is because of his internal battles. (I'm trying to keep this as spoiler-free as possible!) his internal battles made his character more relatable, and him always feeling like he has to do more than he needs to, like he feels like he needs to carry the weight of the galaxy on his shoulders? i deeply related to that and I think, loving and writing cal, he has taught me to be more patient and more kind to myself. and oh my god he's so handsome.

is there anything you don’t like to write? i used to be afraid of writing action because I felt like i'd be unsure of how to write it, but I've come to love writing action! i can't exactly think of anything I don't like writing. um I'm just a little nervous about writing nsfw but I think if I'm comfortable with my writing partner, then I can give it a shot! me, writing nsfw: what position are they in again?? UHHH but I know I can write smut, I'm just a little nervous that it won't be enjoyable for both parties omg.

is there anything you really enjoy writing? ANGST. AAAAAAAANGST!!!!! AND ROMANCE!!!! i find these facets of rp so so fun. hence why I'm always happy to ship if there's chemistry! i feel like angst helps me explore the character's nature more do a deep dive into the why behind things. WHEN IT HURTS THE HEART YOU KNOW THAT SHIT IS THE GOOD SHIT.

how do you come up with headcanons? it's almost like they come to me lol. i like to think a lot, especially on the verses I am passionate for. like the grand inquisitor cal verse is my absolute favorite and it's so full of angst that it's super fun to just sit back and think about what he would be like in that verse. i just let headcanons come to me naturally while I think about my muses. sometimes I draw inspiration from media, like film or shows. the loth-wolf idea was inspired by art I've seen of princess Mononoke (which I need to watch) and the rebels show? i just want to give cal a GIANT DOGGO to tell the doggo to SICK 'EM.

do you write in silence or do you play music? both! i can do either. music can inspire me.

do you plan your replies or wing them? both. i like to plot with my partners the set up and wing the rest. whatever feels natural. sometimes I have ideas of things I want to include in my replies beforehand, but other than that it's all trial by fire, baby.

Preferred comms: Whatever, I've never had issues with IM's personally, so I like them. But I know no one else does lol. Discord is cool, especially when we start sending memes and shit to one another.

Name of muse(s): Hibiya and Hibiko. I've had one other muse that didn't last long, I just wanted an excuse to talk about my views and opinions on music lmao. An outlet to express that to a degree, but I just didn't have anything else I wanted to say, no overarching theme or anything.

Experience in RP: Started out the classic way of rp'ing via texts with a friend, where it was like [ "Stop doing that" *laughs* ] as Izaya from Durarara. Not terribly long after I moved to tumblr cause I was already always on it on my personal account and heavy in the durarara community in 2012, 2013, cause I wanted to write as Hibiya. And that was a blast because it started showing on Adult Swim so the anime got more popular and there were just a lot of people and alters to write with.

Stopped and started a few times, but I always wrote Hibiya publically and no one else. I think I barely wrote in 2016 cause the rp side of the fandom was DEAD and I didn't really venture out to find new partners. I had also moved countries so like, wasn't thinking about writing often. Completely stopped thinking about it in 2017 and was writing songs instead. Until after I graduated college and was working fulltime, and after all the lockdowns stopped (Toronto had multiple), I needed a new creative outlet I could work on while not home and kept thinking about Hibiya and Delic and having ideas I wanted to explore. And was very lucky to find my email and password! So now I'm like, I can't imagine leaving tumblr to write somewhere else. Privately I dunno, it's so boring.

Best experiences: It's so nice to have partners that equally gush over one another's muses and relationships, sharing ideas and potential threads and even just being like "lmao if this happened, it'd be over" / "I can't stop thinking about x."

Plus I mean to be honest, it's so, so exciting and nice to hear people excited to write with me and ask about my muses, having genuine curiosity. Asking questions I've never thought of and pushing them to be more developed and fleshed out. I love posting a reply or answering a meme and immediately getting pinged on discord of someone panicking and talking to me about it.

Pet peeves / dealbreakers: Too much ooc is the main reason I end up unfollowing people. Which like, listen, it's not like I outright say, I don't care about you. But if it's too much, even though I like you and your muses and want to write, I'm gonna mute your tag. I'd much rather someone repeatedly be like "I'll be on twitter if you care" or whatever passive-aggressive thing, than have a bunch of posts on my roleplay account that are nothing. Let me ignore it if I want to.

I've complained to the point of adding it to my rules, but I hate mains. And I honestly more and more feel like I'm making the right call in that it's very mean and you shouldn't do it. I understand feeling more drawn to some muns/muses than others, but when a mun is repeatedly answering someone's stuff immediately when you've been waiting for a reply for a month. Yeah, it's a little dog shit. There needs to be an effort to balance it out between partners.

A COUPLE ACTUAL PETTY PET PEEVES. That like, I've rewritten this a bunch of times cause I don't want to be dumb and rude even though it makes me want to be very that. I hate when muns make their muses short and are just weird about it. Like, it's obviously written from the perspective of a person that is average height, who sometimes feels short, so assumes someone shorter than them always feels short. And it's like no one thinks about their height that much, stop it. But this is absolutely me, a person who is the height of all those short muses, being like bruh stop being weird. I also hate when there is an unrealistic weight put to muses. Because it's something most people ignore, so just skip it if you're gonna be dumb about it. If you feel the need to be like, my 5'6" muse 90 pounds, think about how dysfunctional that makes a person. It's beyond the realm of "my muse is skinny." But!! Again! I know this is just me being like "your fictional character is unrealistic." People like to make their muses taller than Shaq and as buff of as wrestler, but also be like "it's natural, they would never track their calories/protein intake."

Muse preference ( fluff, angst, smut ): Of course it depends. Hibiya is fun because he's awful at being fluffy, so it's great putting him in those positions where I am also so horribly uncomfortable for him. He's always angsty. It gets a little tiring. Smut is all me though, I just get lost in thinking of the details and then I forget to write any of it and it takes forever. Practice though and I know it'll be more fun. There are at least muses now that Hibi wants to be gross with finally.

Hibiko however, is like, always bordering on fluffy, to the point that she really fights angst. Which in itself is fun because that's where most of her development comes from. Surprisingly, smut will be/is really fun for Hibiko because her walls are down, which isn't the case any other time. She also doesn't have as many preconceptions as Hibiya when it comes to sex, so it's more freeing and open for me to write.

Plot or memes: Memes are more freeing. They can be long winded ideas or just a paragraph, so that's fun. But when it comes to the long run, I need to talk about plots to some extent so we're not running aimlessly.

Long or short replies: Long. Mid, really, but I'd rather it be longer than shorter. I've learned I have a hard time tapping into what my muse is going through if I'm not seeing that in return. But short ones are a very welcomed break when they come along. It's nice to easily poop out a reply without being like oh fuck okay what happens first.

Best time to write: When I'm alone in the morning before anyone wakes up (which isn't the morning but pretend it is). I like sitting in silence and enjoying the nothing going on so I can focus. I like to watch movies by myself, and it'll take twice as long because I'll pause it to write while inspired, and watch another five minutes before pausing to write again. The way god intended, really.

Are you like your muse(s): Kinda. I relate to Hibiya more. I'm more aloof than I think I am and can be a little insensitive towards other people's feelings and my words. Emotions are not my strong suit lmao.

Oh man, this is just a real broad set of questions that I don't think I can answer effectively xD

In short I want to interact with everyone, and like I know that's not entirely possible, but it is a fact. I want Cloud to make connections with people that he wouldn't normally, become friends with those that he would usually hate in canon, that kind of thing.

In terms of ships... as much as I complain about it (and I should probably stop doing that... duly noted, Saphie... werp) I like them to be developed over time, and/or discussed and plotted at length for the chemistry to unfold, you know?

My issue with shipping is that I need to have a good relationship with my RP partner, because if I don't, and I feel like I can't communicate with them it all tends to fall apart for me and I lose interest. Not only that, but there's a LOT of Cloud's out there, and I guess there's always that fear of becoming another number to add to someone else's collection, like a button I suppose.

This kind of thing has happened to me before and I guess it's always something that makes me feel a bit insecure, which is dumb and immature and it shouldn't be a thing. Everyone is entitled to RP with whoever they want and I'm not about to get in the way of that, not at all. BUT, that makes me feel a certain way and I try to avoid putting myself in those situations. Hence why I'm a bit of a weeny about sending in shipping memes unless there's already one established, etc.

My main ship though, is with @ghostofnibelheim, but it should also be noted that not only is he one of the best Sephiroth's around (imo obviously but still... I love him) but he is also my best friend, both here and IRL so this is non-negotiable at any point. Yes... I like me some nitty gritty in my RP's it has to be said~ But that certainly isn't to say that I'm not open to shipping with other muses, I just like to know that I can come to you to talk about it and iron stuff out, is all.

But, in short, I just want to RP with everyone, and if I follow you then I CERTAINLY want to write with you. It's the reason I followed, you know?

== EXPERIENCE

PLATFORMS USED : I began rp when IRC was the only thing. I use discord and tumblr almost exclusively now. I have been doing this pretty much longer than most of my mutuals have been alive.

PLOTTING / WINGING IT / MEMES : All of the above. My primary muse is a female oc and so I have to be as flexible as humanly possible.

== MUSE PREFERENCE

GENDER : Gender doesn’t factor into my muse choice, and I’d like to think I am equally adept at playing any gender the muse, as a person, happens to be. Creation of a muse can take me up to a year, as I find out who they are as a person, and develop them a bit at a time. And in most cases, that development never ends.

MULTI OR SINGLE : For my tastes, I prefer to have one muse per blog, though maybe I should do a multi. There was a short period of time a while back where the anti-cop rhetoric was so strong, I brought Riley to Beth’s blog because I got nothing but hate and bullshit on his.

LEAST FAVOURITE FACECLAIM(S) : Brie Larson. I just kind of wanna slap her in the face with a cast iron skillet. Eric Andre, because I don’t really like his personality. And sometimes it’s weird to play against YT “celebrities” or actual cartoon characters as a “real life” muse but I don’t really judge based off an FC. For me it’s about mun chemistry and muse chemistry. Someone can have an FC that is super attractive {imo} and Beth might not even notice, even if she’s involved with two other people with that same exact FC, if that makes sense?

== FLUFF / ANGST / SMUT

FLUFF: Beth is the definition of fluff. She has brought galactic super villains to their knees with the power of dumb.

ANGST: She used to be so happy, once. Now it’s so much easier to do angst, and it can come from a variety of sources.

SMUT: Only if you’ve got patience. There are several people who can tell you that it’s taken 7+ years to get in her pants. There have been exactly 2 exceptions to this and I don’t even know how to explain them. However, humble brag...if you can make her fall in love with you, I will set your screen on fiyah. But this is the least important of the three categories.

Honestly I do worry about my general social awkwardness. Like, I legit have this fear of saying something without thinking about it too much and having people think I'm dumb or putting them off talking to me. I think it's because of this reason I might sometimes come off as...aloof? Which isn't the case at all. I love meeting new people! I'm just not great at social interaction xD

I'll also be upfront and say I hate small talk. I'm sorry if this sounds harsh, but I hate getting messages from new followers that are either just 'Hi' or 'How are you?' I'm not good at small talk and I would prefer if people were more direct with me with their intentions. If you wanna interact, okay! Let's plot out an interaction.

But I will also say the best way to start talking to me is if it's about our muses or any of our threads. I love gushing about our muses/threads with my rp partners! I feel that's usually a good way to start talking about other things and finding other common interests.

FAVORITE OC -> VINCENT HALE

Yep. It's him. He has his own tag ffs. But for real, he's one of my most complex characters. I will admit he totally started off as a self-insert, but he's evolved into such a character. He's got strong convictions, he has flaws (boy, does he have them), he has this whole identity crisis and kinda redemption arc…. Man. I love Vinny.

OLDEST OC -> ROMAN ZEMLIN

I wasn't sure about this one so I went with the character I think is the oldest! I mean, I made him in high school. Maybe 2016 or 2017? Anyway, he's what got me into writing (real ones will remember the Wattpad days 💀), and he's been through so many revamps over the years. He's a bastard hitman and I love him very much.

NEWEST OC -> JUSTICE MARLOWE

This character is a WIP still, but she's another Destiny 2 character! I wanted to experiment with the different classes, so she's a Voidwalker Warlock. Not quite sure what her story is yet, but the concept is brewing!

MEANEST OC -> CONSTANCE FOX

OOO this one was hard but out of all of them? Constance. My Umbrella bastard. She's very much a believer in what Umbrella was doing and man, she'd do anything to re-establish the corporation and its experiments. Have said this before and will say it again, her villainy stems from a dangerous manifestation of apathy, one where it does not matter what happens to others, so as “nothing will come of the circumstances”. The way she clings to Umbrella/Neo-Umbrella is a desperate attempt to have control over said circumstances no matter the cost. She's a bastard through and through.

SOFTEST OC -> NADINE KRAUSE

Easiest choice on this list. She's just so babygirl. She couldn't hurt a fly. She's sensitive, optimistic, always cheerful, and she just wants the best for everyone. Not to mention, she has the softest aesthetics of my characters too. Lots of bright/pastel colors and high femme fashion.

MOST ALOOF/STANDOFF-ISH OC -> VALERIYA KHORKIN

Ah, Roman's sister that he has no idea about. She's been trained to be an effective killing machine, and a lot of her personality has been buried with the "loss" (separation) of her childhood lover, Lucas. She doesn't get close to people as a result of her career and her general background. The orphanage was god awful, Lucas saved her after she aged out, and then she lost him. So. Very much side-eyeing everyone.

SMARTEST OC -> LAVERNE ALBA

This one was hard to pick because there's a lot that could fit the bill, especially when it's broken down to different types of knowledge, but I'd probably have to say Laverne. She might not have formal education, but she's running a multi-million (if not billion) dollar financial corporation AND a whole criminal enterprise! This bitch knows what she's doing.

DUMBEST (AFFECTIONATE) OC -> SCOTT RYDER

I could pick Vinny again BUT I'm gonna pick Scott, my Ryder. He has no idea what's going on at any given moment, and he's expected to save Andromeda?? He can barely give a presentation in front of a small group without feeling the need to hurl, and the Initiative only taught him so much before putting him on glorified mall-cop duty. So. Dumb boy ♡

OC I'D BE FRIENDS WITH IRL -> BAILEY HILL

Her vibes are just… so cool. She's definitely one of the girls I'd be afraid of at first because she seems too cool, but we'd find some obscure thing to bond over (and I can confidently say it'd be Fortnite of all things 💀) and then we'd be besties. She's chaotic. She's smart. She's badass. She's just. So cool???

if there's a few things i've learned about people in the past two years, its that you will encounter shitty people. you are going to meet some of the most nastiest and horrible human beings that will question your love for humanity. you will meet people that are more two-face than you could ever expect. you will meet AWFUL people, but you will learn that your worth is more than whatever they are. ive met my fair share of shitty people and learned many lessons over the past few years since starting college, and you'll learn that happiness is worth more than being miserable. you'll learn ways to be happier and how to curate what you consume or see. you'll figure out who you want to stay with as friends and who you want to clear out. it will happen in life, but thats how we are as people.

with me, i try to look for solutions on my own before asking for help. im very stubborn and want to figure it out for myself most of the time, but ill eventually ask. before, i just... never asked. that fear of being teased for asking is something i absolutely hate sometimes. i try to not worry about it but i swear im not dumb when i ask - thats what i wanna say when i feel embarrassed to ask for help SFJHFHJS

i think its important to at least talk to each other once or twice! get to know each other a little, ask about each other's day, etc. etc. simple interactions like that. its how you become better partners afterwards! just the simple hello's are the important bits to start off somewhere.
