This is honestly one of my favourite chapters of the whole fic. I love how vulnerable Kassam is here even if it’s not much 🥹 Slowly but surely you can see the layers of his personality ✨

The last twenty hours had been hell, but all that was forgotten when Aaliyah looked into her son's eyes for the first time.

His dark blue eyes, just like Kassam's, looked up at her, so calm and peaceful, just studying her, and it made her heart burst with love for this little bundle in her arms.

"Hi, little one," she whispered, gingerly lifting her hand to brush the pad of her thumb over his rosy cheeks. He cooed and kicked his feet a little, eliciting a giggle from Aaliyah.
