I do think the dynamic of @kagoshima-division's Tetsuya having a crush on Shuu in his crossdressing outfit while being completely distrusting of Shuu in his normal clothes is really funny. But honestly its the one thing stopping them from being together while @kobedivision's Kaiji and @katsushika-division's Touya literally keep trapping Shuu into situations.

The sun had long since set on the division of Shinagawa, and while normally a sense of quietness would settle over the city, it was anything but quiet tonight. It seemed like all the hullabaloo was coming from an unsuspecting building in the middle of the city. Sumire Shinomiya was in the middle of a celebration Scorpion Den was throwing her, in the main base. Everyone was having a good time, and it filled Sumire with warmth to see her most precious people enjoy themselves even if she wasn't the biggest fan of her birthday.

Then, all of a sudden, Sumire felt a tap on her shoulder and quickly spun around to see who it was. Immediately, Sumire recognized the person behind her as a certain pyromaniac terrorist.

“Cinder?” Sumire blinked, not expecting to see the criminal today. What surprised Sumire the most was her eyes. Usually, Cinder’s gold eyes held a blank deranged look, but shined with amusement today. “What are you doing here?”

“A bit obvious ain't it Sumire? Happy Birthday by the way.” Cinder pulled off her mask, revealing her face much to Sumire’s surprise as for as long as she’d known her Cinder had always worn her mask.

“Trickster mentioned a while back that your birthday coming up, so I got you a few gifts and messaged Trick to let me in.” Cinder lazily pointed her thumb at Scorpion Den’s very own masked pyromaniac. “Anyway, I hope you enjoy the gift.” Handing Sumire the present.

Inside the present were two items. The first was a pendant with a violet gem encased in silver with smaller matching gems around it and a pentagram in the center. The other item was a black and purple leather jacket with studs and chains. Several pins and patches covered the jacket as well as a spiderweb design that looked like it was hand-painted on.

“I know you're usually much more goth than punk but can't go wrong with a leather jacket am I right?” Cinder laughed. “I even tried matching your vibe by personalizing it a bit. Think I got pretty close." A faint smile formed on her face. “Anyway, Happy Birthday Sumire. Trickster wanted to show me something of his and I can see him getting a bit impatient. Sorry in advance for any explosions that may or may not occur.”

“Man, I’m getting so much jewelry today, makes me wonder if someone’s gonna get me a ring next.” Sumire laughed and waved Cinder goodbye, she looked at the pendant and the jacket and nodded with approval. “Eh, goth and punk are close together in style anyways.” She shrugged and eagerly put on the jacket, smiling at the snug and perfect fit. “Damn, this looks badass, I’ll let it slide just this once about how Cinder was able to get my measurements.”

After tucking the pendant in her pocket, the anarchist was about to held to the refreshment table when a loud ‘BOOM!’ sounded throughout the base, startling everyone and temporarily stopping the music as everyone wonder just what the fuck was that before suddenly out of nowhere a bunch of neon colored glowing bats made out of…fire?!?! flew into the area and started to fly in a dance like pattern which got the people excited and the music started to play again as everyone started dancing, the bats swooping down and barely grazing people’s hands before flying back up and continuing their dance.

Spotting movement in the corner of her eye, Sumire looked up to see both Trickster and Cinder laughing maniacally at the fun chaos below them, the both of them having an arm around each other and not caring (or maybe just not noticing) about the angry Janine that was marching her way towards them. The silver eyed girl rolled her eyes playfully and had a smirk on her lips, “I swear, those two could be related.”

Night had long since settled on the division of Minato. It was also a certain Queen's birthday. Even if she didn't like to receive gifts, her majesty would be getting a bit of a surprise soon enough.

Said birthday celebrant was currently chasing a criminal for her current case. Oh, how she enjoyed it when her prey ran away from her, made the hunt all the more thrilling. So when she saw the criminal round the corner into an alleyway, Queen Card smiled. Attempting to lose her? How foolish of them to even try to attempt.

However, just as the criminal ran into the alleyway, he screamed. Turning into the alleyway herself, Queen Card saw the reason why he had screamed.

The criminal was on the floor and knocked unconscious. Standing over his prone form was a female. Immediately, Queen Card recognized her as the criminal "Cinder".

"Hello, Your Majesty." Cinder pulled off her mask, revealing her face. "I'm not going to pretend to think you don't know who I am under my mask."

Cinder's gold eyes stared blankly at Queen Card as if assessing her. "Besides, you won't tell anyone who I am."

Pulling something out of her jacket, Cinder placed it on top of the unconscious criminal. Stepping over his prone form, she walked over to the entrance of the alley.

"Consider this my birthday gift to you, my lady." Cinder spoke as she passed by Queen Card. "A gift from a devil." A dark laugh escaped from Cinder's mouth as she placed her mask back on as she exited the alleyway disappearing into the night.

Turning back to the criminal, Queen Card walked over and plucked the gift from where it laced on the prone man.

Inside the gift were two items. The first was a set of hair pins in the shape of a sword with a little red gem hanging from the both of them. The second item was a crystal vial with golden embellishments and red gems. It was filled with a liquid but with what Queen Card wasn't sure at the moment. Seeing a note as well, she plucked it up and began to read.

Happy Birthday, Your Majesty. I do hope you enjoy your gifts. The hair pins I personally crafted myself and they're sharp enough to stab a man while at the same time not cutting through your hair. The vial is filled with something that will loosen the tongue, so to speak. Anyone who has even one drop won't stop speaking. I can only imagine what secrets that would be revealed. So enjoy.

Cinder

Queen Card stared blankly at the items in her hands.

Beautiful, they were. And so intricately crafted that it was hard to believe they were done by hand.

Her ears perked as she listened to the sound of “Cinder’s” footsteps becoming more faint.

The Queen slightly jerked her head as she quickly found that her scent was equally growing more and more faint.

However, it would seem that she wasn’t so far away that she was completely gone from the scene.

Her mulberry lips curled into a malicious grin.

A low chuckle escaped from her.

Which then grew into a loud fit of hysterical laughter.

She sighed as her laughter died down and she stomped her foot on the fallen criminal’s back, digging her sharp heel into his flesh.

“A fascinating one, is she not? Stunning gifts or not, that girl sure is a catch…”

Akari Himura, my dear girl…

Such is why you’d make everything come to fruition, little one.

I’ll be counting on it.

"Akihisa Mashiro, perhaps the world's most renowned and infamous hitman ever. Can you believe this guy once was hired to assassinate one of America's vice presidents? Either he's more skilled than I thought, or America's not as advanced a nation as people think they are. But anyway, I don't really care much about this guy's life. Famed killer or not, as long as he stays away from my siblings and I, we'll have no fucking problems."

Touya Kisaragi

"Japan's most renowned serial killer. Would you believe me if I told you I had a run-in with this guy before he got caught by the police? This was back when I was first starting to get a hold of my... particular talents. I was wandering an alley, starved and going half-crazy. I wanted to find someone or something to eat, but there were no people out, which was a shock since I thought humans always found an excuse to wander the fucking streets at night. But I suppose this kid gave them a reason to not too."

"Anyway, I was wandering past an alley when I caught a sniff of a human, which meant... free food. Look, don't fucking judge me, okay?! I told you I was fucking hungry! Anyway, I wandered in the alley and caught a sight of this kid standing over an older looking guy. He looked like a thug, but he wasn't my main focus. The kid was. I wondered why he looked so familiar. But then I remembered that he was that serial killer the news must have been talking about."

"Before I knew it, the white-haired brat tried to off me like he did his latest victim. Ha! Idiot boy didn't know who he was fucking with! All his stabbing was doing nothing but pissing me off and making me angrier! So, I bit into him! His blood... it tasted fucking putrid, but damn, did it feel me up! I didn't kill him, though. I wanted to leave him alive so he knew that not every person on the street was an easy target. Hopefully, he'll remember that for the rest of his miserable life."

"And lastly, Japan's most notorious arsonist. "The High-Rise Bomber, they call him. I wonder how many lives I'd have to take before getting a name like that. Unlike this guy though, I don't have to rely on bombs or fire to get the job done. All I need is my teeth, claws and a little imagination. Anyway, Hot Stuff, keep those fucking flames of yours under control. Wouldn't want you to end up on the wrong side of them."

"Yeah, this team doesn't exactly feel me with fucking ease. What the hell was the Prime Minister thinking letting these guys free? Is she fucking mental or something?! Besides the fact that they're all fucking criminals who won't take hesitate to take a life, what reason is there for them to participate in this fucking tournament? Even if they win (which they fucking won't), they're going to die eventually. And if they aren't careful, I'll make sure its sooner rather than later."

It was nighttime in Suginami, and Ryuko Umemoto was alone this Valentine’s Day. When suddenly he heard a knock at the door. Upon opening it, nothing was there besides a package addressed to him. Picking it up, Ryuko brought it inside and began to open it.

The first gift was a giant three pound chocolate bar.

The other item was two anime figurines of a famous pair of magical girls.

“Oi! You damn Rooster. I know you're probably moaning about being bitchless this valentine's day so here enjoy this.”

At first, he was pretty giddy to get a Valentine’s day gift. Some chocolates and figurines from a series he enjoyed in the past? It was a pretty solid present! “Outside of the basic knowledge that most people have about his career in assassination, I don’t know much about him. Rumors circulate him constantly, however, knowing the bare minimum about his history, I don’t think it is wise to get too close to him. Being around someone like Mr. Mashiro can prove to be dangerous in most cases. I wouldn’t like to risk the chance.”

“...And I hope he hasn’t had to target them.”

Touya Kisaragi

“I’m a little too familiar with Mr. Kisaragi. In between working with the detective from Suginami and my young Master, I suppose it was inevitable. I want to say that he has developed an attraction for Mr. Edogawa, but it might be something more twisted. I had to step in when he began to threaten young Master Daiki for following the detective. Nothing drastic was done, I just assured Mr. Kisaragi that my young Master wouldn’t get in the way of their relationship and that young Master Daiki is not competition. Which, isn’t very far from the truth. Young Master simply looks up to Mr. Edogawa as a teacher and nothing more. For extra assurance, I promised that if my young Master were to cross Mr. Kisaragi’s boundaries, I would personally take care of the problem so that he would not get into trouble. What, with that little neck problem this team appears to have. That may be a partial lie… But it’s the only thing I can do to prevent a serial killer let loose to the person in my care.”

“Still, because of that, young Master Daiki can continue his activities peacefully and Mr. Kisaragi seems to be satiated. And as a bonus, the cheeky little thing doesn’t bother me. Not often, at least. I’ll entertain him if he spots me tailing the young Master, yet I try to keep a boundary between us. I know what he does with people who get close to him and I would rather not perish before I finish my mission.”

Rintaro Himura

“The biggest headache of all… If you heard from young Master Daiki, you would be aware of the fraction of complaints we’ve been hearing from Master Akimi. Yes, a fraction. I am at the mercy of him as well and believe me, the calls from Master Akimi are much, much more emotional. If I were in the position to, I would tell him that we aren’t going to engage in a rap battle with him and we do not need his help to come up with lyrics to ‘diss’ this man. But I’m stuck smiling and nodding along with his suggestions. Still, I can’t say that I support his actions. Spontaneous men like Mr. Himura, who don’t think of the full consequences of their actions are less than respectable.”

Death Row Block

“If this isn’t a proper good display of how Japan’s government is failing their country? Letting death row inmates rap battle their way out of their crimes? Crimes, for killing hundreds, even thousands of innocent people? It’s bugging me that my ahem… Connections are hyper-fixated on other things when this entire country is falling apart at the seams. But why should they care, when they’re sitting all posh in their bloody office chairs?”

“A-Apologies, I shouldn’t lose my temper. I’ve gone on about my displeasure for this team long enough. Excuse me.”

"I had already left America by the time the Third World War started. To this day, it's unknown exactly what caused the war to even start or escalate. Some people cite the main reason was the death of the former U.S. president, with America pinning the blame directly on Japan's shoulders. ...And many people cite this man as the one responsible. I do know America tried to demand the Japanese government turn him over to them, but Japan refused. ...Ha. Can you imagine? A world war starting all because of one country, or rather, one man's actions..."

"Besides that, what little I know of this man is that he used to be a famous hitman that was called, "The Reaper". Hmm, I have to wonder just how many people he had to kill to earn a name like that. ...On second thought, I think I'm fine not knowing."

Touya Kisaragi

"Wow... so this child is the "Sweetheart Killer", Japan's most notorious serial killer? Huh. ...You know, knowing what you know about the kid and how he was abused his entire childhood, you can't help but feel a bit of sympathy for him. I mean, being used as a sex toy for sick and depraved adults by your own mother? That sounds like something you'd only hear in horror fiction novels or movies, not in real life. And to think that there are actually people out there that get off on raping kids..." Kai shakes his head at that, as if at a lost for words.

"...Still though, when the news reported that the "Sweetheart Killer" had been arrested and found guilty of his crimes, you can imagine many people's relief. Even I, despite finding out that he was only a 21-year-old, found it a bit easier to walk outside again."

Rintaro Himura

"And last but not least, the infamous pyromaniac known as the "High-Rise Bomber." The last time this man struck Minato, he had almost set ablaze the entire city of Aoyama, which, if you don't know your geography, is only a hot skip and a jump away from Roppongi; approximately 20 minutes, if you walk. It almost made its way here, but thankfully, the fire only did minor damage and it was easy to fix."

"...Still, when I think of what could have happened if that fire had gotten out of control, I... well, I'll just say, I'm not sad at all to hear that this man is on death row. I mean, you'd think that considering you, yourself, were a victim of arson, you wouldn't go around setting buildings on fire, much less bombing them. ...But you never what's going on inside a person's head these days..."

Death Row Block

"It boggles my mind that I've actually been in a room alone with these three before. ...Well, them and Rintaro's younger sister. In case you forget, I'm well-acquainted with a number of people since I'm a producer. I met these three and Akari during the Collaboration Event that's held every year. Despite their reputations, they all have killer rapping skills. ...And yes, I know I used the word 'killer' when describing these three. It fits."

"Besides that, I don't mind Akihisa much. He seems to be a calm individual, so long as you don't bother him. Touya and Rintaro, on the other hand... well, let's just say I value their rapping skills and leave it at that. Everything else about them... no comment."

"Aww, how cute." Ren smiled as he and Max looked at the toy mechanical wolf.

"More wolf stuff, you can have an entire room dedicated to wolves at this point." Kaiji commented, ignoring a look from Ren, Max didn't mind as he wasn't wrong, it seemed like every gift he's gotten today has been wolf themed, he wasn't complaining though, it was nice and it only served to make his love for the animal stronger.

At this point, the party was in full swing now that Ren, Kaiji, and the others have arrived along with Death Row Block convincing their parole officer to let them stay out a little longer since it was his birthday. They even sang him happy birthday and got him a cake.

Now Akari was showing Nagisa and Ryōhei one of her new gadgets, Akihisa and Rintaro were relaxing on the couch sharing some beer, and Touya was playing with Ayano and showing her some acrobatic tricks. All in all everyone was having a good time and Max couldn't be any more content.

Max felt Ren pat his head while Kaiji wrapped his arms around him in a hug, the brunette looked at his two closest friends, no, his brothers and smiled, holding the toy wolf tightly. Today has been a good day.
