I do think the dynamic of @kagoshima-division's Tetsuya having a crush on Shuu in his crossdressing outfit while being completely distrusting of Shuu in his normal clothes is really funny. But honestly its the one thing stopping them from being together while @kobedivision's Kaiji and @katsushika-division's Touya literally keep trapping Shuu into situations.

“It’s one of my favorites too! I love how Ame is with P-chan. Their relationship is so cute!”

“I know, right? Anyway, as much as it pains me to do this to Lola, we’re going to crush her and that stupid muscle for a brain bodybuilder partner of hers. ”

Evening had just fallen upon Kobe and a certain special cosplayer was going to receive a special gift. Upon opening the door and seeing a gift Kaiji raised his eyebrow thinking this was another gift from a fan until he saw the gift was labeled with “To Kai-chan!”. Letting out a squeal Kaiji picked it up and closed the door behind him.

Placing the gift on the counter Kaji immediately began to tear off the heart-covered wrapping paper. Sending it all over the place and looked at what Touya had given him.

The first item was a platter of red-colored cookies. They looked quite delicious and Kaiji could even smell a slight metallic scent coming from them.

The other item was a pink photo album. Opening it up revealed it to be full of photos of Touya and in each one, he was naked in a provocative pose, and even in a few of them he playing with a few “toys”. A lewd face on his face as he did.

“Happy Valentine’s Day Kai-chan! I’m really happy I get to celebrate the holiday with you even if we can't spend it in person together. I hope you enjoy the gifts I got you! I made the cookies myself and I put a “special ingredient” in them. Also, the photos are for when we can't see each other. I had a fun time making them so I hope you enjoy all the hard work I put in!”

Kaiji smirked and bit into one of the cookies Touya made him, moaning at the delicious taste, the metallic flavor really topped it off and the cookie was gone in a matter of no time. Setting them aside for later, he immediately started flipping open the photo album, a lewd smile beginning to stretch on his face, his shorts felt even tighter with each page he flipped. Fuck, Touya was so pretty, so gorgeous, he hated the fact that they couldn't spend the day together, he had so many ideas he wanted to do, all of them inspired by the photos in front of him.

"Fuck.." Kaiji muttered, he was already hard and his shorts were doing nothing to hide it, he let out sigh before mentally saying 'screw it' and headed off to his room where he got his phone and tripod. Despite saying earlier that he wasn't planning on streaming, he could make an exception for today, after all, it was for one person's eyes only and he was sure Touya would enjoy the additional gift.

"I've met the man known as 'Vox' a few times, but I don't know him as well as my husband and son knows him. I've actually hired him to play here in Roppongi once. I have to say, when people heard he was making an appearance here at Gypsy's Palace, we had people crowding to get in our doors. I think we made more money that night than we did the entire month. With the two of them combined, he and my husband tore the roof of our club! When it was over, I thanked him and told him the doors of our club are always open to him."

Max Soukoku

"He's the only one from this group I don't know anything about. Even my husband is clueless on him. Zakari says that he often attends class with him, but other than that, he doesn't know much either. All Kai knows is that, according to Ren, he came from an abusive home. That's very sad to hear. If it's true, I hope he is doing much better now."

Kaiji Sano

"...You might find this hard to believe, or that I'm a hypocrite considering I was frequently in beauty pageants as a child, but I actually do enjoy reading model magazines and watching modeling shows. Though I myself don't care for being in them since I'd gotten enough of that as a kid, I believe if it is your choice to model, then that's fine. But no one should force you to do something you don't want to do. I wish that was something my mother realized when I was young." Mireya sighs, but then shakes it off.

"Anyway, getting back on topic, I do pay attention to some of the models in this country. And the one that I always enjoy watching the most is the one known as 'Jinx'. When Kai told me that this young man was actually a 'male' instead of a 'female', I thought he was playing a trick on me. But if I know my husband, and I do, I know that he's never one for playing tricks or being funny. So when he told me that, I was... well, shocked."

"Of course, I have seen male models dress up in female clothing before, but... I don't know, just something about the way this young man does it... it's more 'believable', if that makes sense. To put it simply, I enjoy watching this young man on stage. He's a lot better than most female actors I see nowadays."

Lovesick

"Aside from that 'Max' fellow, I can see how this team is united. They're all famous individuals, though I know not why they are joining this tournament. Kai said that Ren was 'searching for someone'. I don't know how to fully take that, but... in any case, whatever it is he and his teammates are searching for, I hope they find it."

A gift came for one Karada Kessaku today, while he was pumped to receive yet another present, he was confused when there wasn't a card or even a note detailing on who the sender was, he found it odd but shrugged it off, thinking it was just some secret admirer, they never stopped coming even after getting into a relationship with his dream girl but recently he noticed that she was getting a bit distant lately.

Shaking his head from those thoughts, he picked up the pink, sparkly gift and inspected it. It was...well, pink and sparkly along with a faint but pleasant smell of perfume, signifying that a women was the sender. Without wasting anymore time, Karada opened the gift...

...However he barely had the time to look inside before he was swarmed by a colony of giant spiders who were rather irritated by being crammed into a tiny box for god knows how long, immediately they started scattering all over Karada's room and on Karada himself who after being frozen for a second started screaming in fear and moving erratically to get the spiders off of him.

While all of this was happening, a voice recorder that was also stuffed inside the box began to play.

"Happy Birthday, Fuckhead~ It's ya girl, Jinx! Hope ypu enjoy my gift, maybe now you'll think twice before threatening me and my precious Tou-chan, also I heard these type of spiders and their venom is quite potent so try not to get bitten too much, or do, I don't give a fuck."

"Karada, no." Luis stated, as his friend in question was literally on his hands and knees, begging his friend for mercy.

After the fiasco, Karada immediately called Luis, who proceeded to call Aoyama's best exterminators to rid his room and his mansion of any creepy-crawlies that had somehow made their way out of his bedroom. Fortunately, Karada hadn't been bitten, but he still demanded they head to the hospital to get checked out.

Now, Karada, who was scared out of his wits to return home, was begging Luis to stay over with him.

"Please, Lu! I don't want to sleep alone tonight!" Karada yelled. "Those bugs may still be in their waiting to bleed me dry!"

"The exterminators assured us that they had cleared all of the bugs from your house. They are the best ones in Aoyama, so I'm pretty sure we can take their word for it." Luis stated, reasoning with his friend.

"I don't care! I really don't want to go back into my house alone, man!"

"Well, consider this a teachable moment." Luis said, his arms folded, frowning at his friend. "From now on, maybe you'll think twice before opening up strange gifts that appear on your doorstep without a card saying who its from."

"I know! I know! I'm sorry! Just please stay with me for tonight! Please!!"

Groaning, Luis felt a need to hit himself. How on earth was his best friend, the self-proclaimed "Strongest's Man in Japan" such a coward when it came to spiders?

"...Fine." Luis said, giving in.

"Yes, thank you so much, dude! I love you!" Karada yelled.

Shaking his head, only one thought came to the chef's mind.

"Why me?"

"The music artist known as 'Vox'. ...Would you believe me if I told you that I'm actually a fan of him. You have Yorii to thank for that. The two of them are in the same profession, so it's no surprise that they both know each other. He brought some of Vox's music home one night and kept playing it until five in the morning. Naturally, some of the songs sounded good, so I decided to listen to them. Now, I'm kind of a fan of his. Not saying I like all of his songs, but some of them are actually quite good."

"I actually had the pleasure of meeting Vox when Yorii introduced us. He seemed nice, but... for some reason, I could smell blood on him. And it wasn't his blood either. I wonder why..."

"Hah, it's no big secret that this guy is a killer. I mean, if you listen closely to some of his songs, they sound strangely possessive. Like he's talking about someone. ...Well, I don't know who he's talking about, and I don't care, but if he hurts Yorii or Elliot, he won't have to worry about his precious "darling" anymore! Cause he'll never see her again!"

Max Soukoku

"...Is it weird to say that I see a lot of myself in this young man? He's so quiet that you sometimes forget he exists. ...At least until you hear that he sent two or three guys to the hospital because they called themselves bullying him, but wound up learning the hard way to not judge someone based on appearances alone. You'd think after the first few times, people would get the hint, but stupidity can be infectious sometimes."

"Besides that, I get the same sense from 'Rocker Boy' that I do this kid. Both of them smell like blood. And this kid, even more so! But as long as I don't smell Elliot or Yorii's blood on him, he's safe. But the moment I do, we'll see just how fearsome he truly is!"

"A lot of the girls at school are big fans of this guy. ...And some of the guys too. Me, I'll admit, he's attractive, but I don't know why people go nuts over him dressing up as the opposite sex. He's not the first to do that, but I guess there's something about how he dresses that attracts people. I don't know enough the fashion industry to make a guess, though."

"And just like his two buddies, this guy smells like blood too, though I only smelled two types of blood: his and one other's. A female's, I think. Still, that doesn't exactly fill me with fuckin' ease. He may not be a killer like his buddies, but this guy has spilled blood before. For his sake, those two blood types had better be the only ones I spell on him."

Lovesick

"These three men... they seemingly have nothing in common with each other. I have to wonder how exactly they met one another. ...Is it possible they all adopted each other like we did? If so, I wonder what the circumstances were that caused them to get to know each other?"

"These guys may not have anything in common, at first glance. But there is one thing they share: they're all murderers. Oh, I know I don't really have room to talk, but unlike me who has to kill to survive, these three kill simply for sport and enjoy it. Well like I said before, they can do whatever the hell they want. But if they come do anything to harm either of my brothers, I'll show them what true murder looks like."

In the city of Shizuoka, just a day before the famous Valentine’s Day holiday, a certain socialite was busy going over some finishing touches and preparations for her Valentine’s Day Gala she was throwing tomorrow before a nicely dressed servant carefully and hesitantly stood a respectable distance away, just when they were about to make themselves known, the purple haired woman already beat them to it. “You better have a good reason as to why you’re interrupting my work.” The servant gulped before bowing. “Pardon me, my lady but there is a visitor here to see you.” Reika paused her planning and glanced at the servant, eyebrow raised, although she was slightly annoyed, she was more curious about who would visit her so early (and willingly). “Well, who is it?” She asked and the servant cleared their throat, looking anywhere except the woman before them. “They..uh, wish to be anonymous, er, at least until you see them.”

Reika rolled her eyes, this person had better be important for wasting her time like this, “Fine, send them in.” The servant nodded and just a tad bit quickly, left the room. It was a few moments before the sound of heels clicking on the floor alerted the woman to the other party’s presence, when she got a good look at them, however, she immediately calmed down and a smile overtook her features. “Kaiji, my dear!” She cooed, walking up to the shorter male and pulling him into a hug. The white-haired cosplayer grinned back and hugged her back, albeit gently due to the noticeably sized gift back in his hand. “Heya, big sis!” He chirped in his girl voice, a telltale sign that the effeminate male was feeling more feminine today. “Happy birthday! And early Valentine’s Day!” He cheered after releasing her from the hug, Reika smiled fondly at her “little sibling”.

“Thank you, Kaiji, not that I’m not happy to see you, dearest, but I’m a tad bit busy at the moment, you know that my yearly Valentine’s Day Gala is tomorrow and it has to be absolutely perfect, can’t have these idiots underestimating me.” She scoffed to herself before looking at the crossdresser, “So, is there something you need?”

Kaiji shook his head, “Yeah, I know, it’s really everyone could talk about, I promise that I won’t take long, I’m just here to deliver these gifts me, RenRen, and Maxi got you.” He held up the elegant bag and gave it a small wiggle, Reika paused, she wasn’t surprised that Kaiji had gotten her a gift but Ren and Max as well? Well, she was on good terms with both the rockstar and the boy so the thought of them giving her a present did make her happy. “Aw, well aren’t the three of you sweet?” She teased as she sat on the luxurious couch she had been occupying before, this time moving her planning books aside and patting the spot beside her, Kaiji took the invitation and sat next to her.

“Eh, it was nothing really, Ren likes giving gifts and Max wanted to thank you for letting him stay with you that time.” Kaiji carefully took the gifts out of the bag and placed them on the table.

The first gift was a beautifully crafted ring made with obsidian, diamonds, and a large heart-shaped ruby front and center. The obsidian of the ring craved to look like skulls to hold the ruby heart in place. “This is from Ren, as you can see, money is no problem for him, honestly it looks like this ring suits him more but I guess the thought counts, you can’t deny that the man has an aesthetic though.”

The second gift was a beautiful bouquet of purple chrysanthemums. “This one here is from Max! I gotta say, I did not expect him to actually come up with something that’s not completely horrifying, I thought for sure he was gonna give a literally beating heart but he managed to surprise me, he said that purple chrysanthemums symbolizes “care” and “thoughtfulness” and I almost burst out laughing, not that you’re not caring or thoughtful but….c’mon, anyways, I got the vase and the pearls so you’re welcome.”

The third and final gift was a beautifully crafted heart shaped necklace made with blue gems and four very…dark red looking crystal orbs in the center. “And this one was made by Yours Truly, I could have bought you something, yeah, but you can’t beat a homemade gift, and people say that making cosplay props isn’t a skill, but anyways, I really hope you like it, I spent so long making it and I’m pretty sure resents me after I made him take so many trips to our mom’s boutique to get the gems. Also, another thing, you know the story of Elizabeth Báthory? The real life actual “Virgin Killer”? Well…let’s just say that I took quite a bit of inspiration from her, if you know what I mean.” He winked.

“Anyways, that’s it, I won’t take up any more of your time, besides I gotta stream in a bit so I need to get going but I hope you like them!” Kaiji gave Reika one last hug before standing up, “I already know the way out, happy birthday, sis!“

Happy Birthday Reika!

Reika looked at the gifts in front of her, a smile etched onto her face. While she expected Kaiji to get her a gift however Ren and Max were a surprise but it was a good one. She had become quite fond of the rockstar and the feral boy.

Gently picking up the ring, she slipped it on her finger and was pleasantly surprised to find it a perfect fit…how exactly did Ren know her size? Reika could only guess that he learned it from Kaiji. Letting the ring glitter in the light Reika was hit was the thought that the ring would match perfectly with the gown she picked out for tomorrow's gala. The skull wouldn't fit with the valentine theme but Reika didn't partially care and besides none of the other guests would have the courage to say anything to her about it.

Turning to Max’s gift Reika picked up the vase admiring the flowers. Caring and thoughtful? To the people, she cared about? Yes. Reika would go the extra mile. Her enemies? Cold-hearted and malicious was more like it. Yoko Miyano could attest to that. Shaking her head Reika made a mental note that the next time Max came over to take him somewhere special.

Finally picking up Kaiji’s gift Reika smiled at the thought of Kaiji spending hours making it for her. He was right though sometimes handmade was better. Placing the necklace around her neck Reika gave her reflection a quick check. Satisfied she gave a nod before turning to her planning books.

“Alright back to work.”

There was a very special delivery sent to the private investigator of Suginami. At first, Shuu couldn’t believe it, someone sent him a valentine gift?! Him?! To say that he was ecstatic was an understatement and practically snatched the box out of the other person’s hands when the gift was presented to him, a grin was stretched wide across his face…until he actually opened the gift.

Inside the gift were three items, all sending a deeper feeling of dread into the detective than the last.

The first gift was a pink heart shaped choker with spikes.

The second gift was a box of chocolates with a very realistic looking human heart at the center

The last gift was simply a page that looked like it was torn out of a notebook, its contents were…very disturbing.

‘Happy Valentines Day, Detective. Come play with us one day, won’t you? By the way, before you have a heart attack, that’s not an actual heart, it’s a cake, got you good huh? Hehe.

— Jinx 🩷’

“...Jinx? Wait, Kaiji-chan sent this to me?” Surrounded by his gifts, Shuu couldn’t help but feel… Surprised, if not shocked at this display of affection. It started off pretty normal, if not a little morbid (not enough to lose Shuu’s interest), but the final note with the repeated writing was way too familiar. It reflected the same tone that he’s seen plenty of times from distressed clients. Of the stalking victim variety mind you, and Shuu had an entire drawer dedicated to photos and even the actual pages of notes just like the one Shuu had held between his hands...

“Do I have a stalker? Wait, Kaiji-chan is my stalker?!” Beginning to panic, Shuu began to realize exactly how his clients felt when they came to him in a frenzy. But… As he looked at the gifts and thought about the man who he had received them from, he started to mutter, “This isn't... That bad of a thing, right?”

This is a bad thing Shuu but thank you for the gift! (人･㉨･)♡

A package has ended up into the abode of a certain cosplayer today! Both the ribbon tying the box shut and the box’s wrapper all have the words ‘FRAGILE’ frantically written on it so it must be something well… fragile. Anyway this box opens to two things:

A statue of a cat in a frilly dress presenting a pair of dead birds on its paws…? Fortunately, the dead bird isn’t real.

And second, a box of chocolates, these chocolates made to look like little mice!

A note was plastered right on top of the box of chocolate, also in the same frantic penmanship as the content’s wrappings.

When a cat sends its owner the animals it captures (i.e. mice and birds), it’s their way of showing affection.

Happy Valentine’s, Jinx-sama.

“Aw shit, here we go, Kaiji, you got some weird ass fans.” Nagisa complained, side eyeing the gifts Kaiji was currently holding and was met with a glare from his older brother.

“Shut the fuck up, Nagisa, and don’t you dare insult my fans, I actually think this is sweet! Whoever made this is pretty talented.” The snow haired cosplayer boasted, picking up a piece of the chocolate and popped it in his mouth, humming at its sweet taste. “Plus, who the fuck is gonna say no to free chocolate?”

Nagisa rolled his eyes and put his hands up in mock surrender. “Fine, fine, whatever. Anyways, you planning on streaming today? Since it’s valentines, today’s a good opportunity to capitalize off of the pathetic love lives and loneliness of some of these losers.”

Kaiji hummed as he tapped his chin in thought before shaking his head. “Nah, as tempting as that sounds, I think I’m just gonna send out a message on PROFILE, do some valentine cosplay and call it a day, I’m…actually gonna be busy after that.”

Now that caught Nagisa’s attention as he raised a brow. “For real? What, you got a date or something? Don’t tell me it’s with—“

“The first rule is never to kiss and tell, my dear brother. Now if you excuse me, I need to get ready.”

“‘Never to kiss and tell’ my ass, that’s all you ever do!”

We’ve searched high and low throughout Japan to find the very best, the crème de la crème of each and every Division had to offer and we certainly weren’t disappointed with the line up we have and something tells us you aren’t going to be either once we reveal who our couples for this competition are. The couples and contestants for the 2024 Mr. and Mrs. HypMic Couples' Pageant are...

1. "Introducing first, both hailing from the sunny beaches of Los Angeles, California, they are widely-known as America's Sweethearts, who have been together longer they any couple in this competition. Perhaps their long time dating one another will give them a heads-up against the rest of the competition. Give it up for the American Pretty Boy, himself, Ace "MC Patriot" Douglas, and his popular and highly-stunning model of a girlfriend, Evelyn "SPIRIT" Rose, from Okinawa!"

America's Sweethearts

2. "Introducing next, they are two of the most artistic individuals Japan has ever seen. While one is making herself known online and in art galleries as an established painter, the other is mesmerizing both men and women of the world with his enchanting voice. Please welcome highly-talented artist, Kureha "Eclipse" Koizumi of Saitama, and her partner, the first-ever winner of the Mr. HypMic Pageant, the most-talented and sexiest man in 2023 and highly-acclaimed rock star, Ren "Vox" Nakashima of Kobe!"

3. "This next couple is, without a doubt, perhaps the most promiscuous pairing in this competition. Needless to say, they've got a number of winnings under their belts, so to speak. Will their experience and success rate be enough to have them win? We'll see! Please welcome Japan's Self-Proclaimed "Strongman", Karada "Nike" Kessaku of Aoyama, and the Goddess of Beauty, herself, Lola "Aphrodite" Takahashi of Saitama!"

4. "This next partnership is perhaps the scariest pairing we have in this competition. Despite their young ages, these two young men aren't afraid to get their hands dirty and paint the environment red if they have to, or if the need should strike them. If I were you, I'd best proceed with caution around them! But who knows? Perhaps their infamy will somehow resonate with the fans. We'll see! In any case, put your hands together for the popular Lolita model, Kaiji "Jinx" Sano of Kobe, and his partner, Japan's Most Notorious Serial Killer, Touya "MC Darling" Kisaragi of Katsushika!"

...Seriously, who thought it was a good idea to let these two in this?

5. "These next contestants are perhaps living proof that 'money is equivalent to success!' Standing at the top of Japan's hierarchy because of their wealth and status, this power couple, who is due to be wed in just a few short months, might I add, will stop at nothing to trample over their competition, no matter who or what they may be! So give them the respect they deserve and welcome, none other than, the heir to his prestigious family, Tomi "High Class" Chōten of Aoyama, and the CEO of one of the most powerful conglomerates in Japan today, Miho "Iron Maiden" Kobayashi of Shinagawa!"

Zakari's Thoughts on Kobe Division

Ren Nakashima

"Wow, Ren "Vox" Nakashima, himself. Hard to believe a guy that's only 20 is known all around Japan as a celebrity. I mean, I'm pretty popular, myself. But compared to this guy... I'm a crumb while he's a whole cake! Don't take that as a sign that I'm envious of the guy or anything! I mean, it's only cause of my dad's awesome music-making and producing skills that he's the success that he is. ...But still, even I have to give credit where credit is due. The guy is a genius. A musical genius, anyway."

Max Soukoku

"I like hanging out with Max! I know everyone at school likes to give him a wide berth cause he's so scary, but really, once you get to know the guy, he's pretty cool! I mean, I wouldn't go to him if you're looking for conversation or anything, but that's fine! I do most of the talking between us, anyway! Plus, believe it or not, he's actually on good terms with Sumire in Shinagawa! When we have time, we'll often go over there and watch her participate in robot fights, which she always wins, by the way!"

"Like I said, I know people give him a wide berth, but he's only scary to people who have nothing else better to do than bother him for no reason. Let me tell you, I saw him deal with a bunch of guys who were picking on him. ...I'll say this: this kid, he is one guy you definitely don't want to meet in a dark alley!"

Kaiji Sano

"...You know, I'm a bit jealous of Kaiji. Not because of his fame or anything, but because he can pull off the feminine look so much easier than I can! I've tried watching some of his moves on PROFILE and T.V. to pull off what he does on stage and I keep failing! I've even tried dressing up like him! I took some of my mom's clothes and make-up to wear, but I still fell flat on my face! To make matters worse, both my parents came to see what I was doing and they saw me... ya' know. Boy, that was embarrassing. I couldn't face either of them for a week before my mom gently decided to broach the topic. God, that was humiliating!"

Lovesick

"Man, all these guys are younger than me, and they're already well-known across Japan. ...Well, maybe not Max, but I don't think he cares for the fame like Ren and Kaiji. ...It actually begs the question, why did he join their team anyway? Actually, why are any of these guys in the D.R.B.? It doesn't sound like Chuohku forced them. And my dad says that Ren joined because of someone in one of the other teams, which doesn't tell you much. I mean, do you have any idea how many teams are in this tournament?"

"...Oh well. Whatever the reason is, I wish Max and them the best of luck, though I'm sure they won't need it. ...Well, at least not until they face my parents and I!"
