“Oh thank God, this is almost over, this entire event has been nothing but one long embarrassment that has been dragged on and on and I am exhausted. But seriously? A wedding event? And I thought the swimsuit round was fanservice-y…*sighs*, to be honest, even though I am engaged, I haven’t really thought much about the actual wedding aspect of it, I figured I’d leave that sort of stuff to my fiancé (and Evelyn) but knowing you people, you won’t be satisfied with that response….I guess if I had to give any input, I would like to have a little green to my wedding, as in plants, I don’t know, I’ve always been an outdoors type guy and I figured flowers and plants would make good decorations and I guess that’s it, really.”

“HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THE BIRTHDAY GIRL!!” Joey cheered as he and Kyler entered the bar, earning a glare from the blonde at his side. “Goddamnit Joey, be louder why don’t you?” Kyler deadpanned causing the detective to pout. The FBI Agnes shook his head and looked at his childhood friend with a smile. “Happy Birthday, Evelyn, sorry it took us this long, we had a case to deal with, I’ll spare you the details.”

“Just know that we may or may not have broken a few traffic laws to get here, also Wataru wanted us to tell you Happy Birthday!” Joey grinned and Kyler furrowed his brows “No he didn-“ “Yep he totally did!” Joey winked and Kyler sighed before gesturing to the presents in his arms, there were three in total. “Don’t think we haven’t gotten you anything, now you can’t say I haven’t done anything for you, go on, take your pick.”

The first gift was relatively small and inside it revealed to be a figure of…Evelyn? “Oh! That’s my gift! So I know this person that makes figurines and I thought, ‘hey, wouldn’t it be cool to have a figurine of yourself?’ So I got in contact with him to make you a figure, they’re also a huge fan of you so it was a win for us both! Hope you like it!” Joey grinned and gave the blonde girl a quick shoulder hug.

The second gift was smaller than the first and inside it revealed to be a beautiful bracelet with turquoise stones. This time, Kyler spoke up. “Honestly, this is from Roxie more than it is from me, I don’t know a lot about jewelry or crystals but she said that Turquoise is the…birthstone? Of December, whatever that means but it looks pretty and I thought it would look good on you.”

The last gift was bigger than the first two and inside it revealed to be a book of some kind with a bedazzled cover filled with rhinestones and a matching pen. Once again, Kyler spoke up but this time he seemed to be more sheepish, “So, you know that ‘thing’ I was working on and couldn’t tell you? Yeah, this is the ‘thing’. I’ll warn you now, my scrapbooking skills suck but I figured you’d appreciate it. If you’re wondering where I got the photos, your mom was more than happy to give them to me. Between her and my mom, I couldn’t tell who had the most photos.”

Flipping the book open, the blonde model was greeted with a wave of nostalgia as she looked through the memories of childhood and high school adventures she shared with her childhood friend. Watching as tears filled her eyes, Kyler sighed with a fond smile and pulled her into a hug. “Happy Birthday, Eve.”

Happy Birthday Evelyn! 💖

Ace & Rashaad were both in the kitchen of the bar making a cake for Evelyn when Joey's loud and obnoxious voice made its way to their current location, making the bartender clench his subconsciously clench his teeth at his acquaintance's voice, while Ace just frowned.

"I suppose no one ever stressed to him the value of 'inside voices'..." Ace stated, shaking his head.

"Forgive the jab, Master Ace, but I figured you'd be used to that with Miss Rose." Rashaad stated with a smirk as he took off his apron. The diplomat opened his mouth to retort, but anything he wanted to say fell flat as he realized his friend was right.

"...Point taken."

"EEEE!!!"

Both men jumped as the screech of a familiar female voice was heard throughout the bar. Both men sighed as they entered the bar area and looked as the birthday girl in question was looking at a figurine of... herself? Ace looked at in his girlfriend's hands, and even he was amazed at how similar it looked.

"Send me the number and address of the guy who made that," Ace asked Joey, figuring it was him who gave it to Evelyn. "They deserve a bonus for that."

Smiling at her boyfriend's words, Evelyn looked at the scrapbook her childhood friend gave her, and covered her mouth in surprise at the pictures inside. She felt her eyes get wet as she stared at them, her childhood and teenage years coming back to her. Hugging Kyler tightly, she told him and Joey to 'wait' before she quickly departed upstairs. A minute or so later, she came back down with a camera in her hands. Gathering all the men present, she quickly assembled them together and held her camera up in the air, taking a photo of them.

"Another one for, like, the scrapbook!"

“Ah, Wataru. We’ve been friends for a long time now ever since we’ve both met during police training. He is perhaps one of the people I trust most in the world besides Ayumu. He was even there at Kirimi’s and Kohei’s funerals.” Seij runs his hand through his hair. “I won't lie when Wataru asked for my help in his current case. I thought he was playing a joke on me. Me? In a rap tournament? I nearly declined because everyone knows that the Division Rap Battles have become nothing more than Tohoten’s personal playground. Especially with how many teams she’s forced into joining. However, as much as I hate to admit it I only agreed to help Wataru due to my own selfish reasons. I can only hope he can forgive me for it one day.”

Kyler Aaron

“I have not had the chance to meet Kyler-san but from what Wataru tells me he is here to guard the U.S. Ambassador stationed in Okinawa. However, I’ve heard several other officers mention the word “Commission” along with his name. That along with his status as an FBI agent I can take a guess as to which “Commission” he’s connected to. Perhaps it's my paranoia talking but something tells me that Kyler-san hasn't been completely honest to Wataru about the reasons he came to Japan.” 

Joey Kurusu 

“So this is the person Wataru has complained so much about. Now I have not had the privilege of meeting Detective Kurusu but surely he could not be worse than Shiba. Frankly, I doubt anyone could be a bigger headache than him. I swear Shiba is in my office for his conduct more than everyone else in the department combined. I'm half tempted to tell Wataru let’s switch detectives for a few days. I get to deal with his jokester and he deals with my personal headache and we'll see who has it worse.”  

Justice Shield

“Considering Wataru is the reason we’re in the Divison Rap Battles Justice Shield and Valor Guard currently stand as allies. However, knowing Chuohku I wouldn't be surprised if they made us go against each other one day in the future, and for that reason, we’ve agreed not to let what we say to each other affect us in any way. Now then I suppose we’ve got a few criminals to catch in this godforsaken tournament.”

"...Is it bad to say that I know this police officer? I mean, I don't know him personally, but I have seen him, and he's seen me. Usually, he is working with that lawyer lady from Ueno, which I don't find all that surprising. But anyway... I know him because... I unintentionally helped him capture some criminals that he was chasing after. Apparently, they were a group of thieves responsible for... stealing cars or something. Anyway, the police had lost track of them, but I didn't."

"After I cornered them, I... proceeded to eat. Apparently, I wasn't careful enough, though. Somehow, this officer had managed to track down the thieves and that's when he and I... spotted each other. He ordered me to put my hands up, but I just jumped up onto the rooftop and fled. I heard gunshots, so I think he may have fired at me. Thankfully, none of them hit."

"Huh, that bastard. He should count his blessings that none of those damn things hit me! If they had, Japan would have been short one cop! I basically did his job for him! Where the fuck does he get off shooting at me like that?!"

Kyler Aaron

"A... foreigner? ...I know I shouldn't be all that surprised. He's not the first foreign person I've come across. But I think he might be the first American I've seen. I think I've seen him with two other Americans, but I can't really picture them right now. But anyway, this guy seems a little... stern. I've heard rumors that this man is searching for... someone. ...Or rather, someone(s). They call themselves "The Commission". I know next to nothing about them, save from what I've heard from thugs that I was about to consume. Apparently, they are a notorious group of killers. I hope he is careful pursuing them."

Joey Kurusu

"I think this may be the only cop that I don't feel threatened by. I often see him at crime scenes examining dead victims. ...Most of them are my fault, I'll admit. But, despite his easygoing appearance, when he is at work, I see a fervency you don't see in many cops these days. In his eyes, I see something. Determination, yet... also longing. I'll admit, it's a feeling I'm a bit familiar with myself."

Justice Shield

"I wasn't aware that a team of police officers had joined the D.R.B. But if they have, that, unfortunately, makes staving off my hunger more difficult. I should probably visit areas where there isn't a lot of law enforcement. Besides that, I'm curious behind the reason for this team. Are there here to search for someone? If so, I hope it isn't me or my siblings. If it is, then... I'm afraid Japan will be losing three good men..."

"I was introduced to Sasaki-san by Kyler. ...I have to say, I was a bit impressed by his stature and his poise. It's hard to believe that he's only four years older than me. I say that because... he reminds me much of my father. He was a stern, dedicated man who didn't hesitate to put his life on the line, no matter what anyone said, or what he may have been up against. I believe if given the opportunity to meet, he and my father may have been good friends, despite being in different professions."

"I've heard that despite Chuohku's anti-male policy, he is sometimes allowed into Chuohku to meet with the Prime Minister. In fact, I heard that he, himself, requested permission to join the Division Rap Battle. I don't know for what reason, but I hope he understands what he is getting himself into."

Kyler Aaron

Alexis looks at the photo of the FBI agent and gives a small chuckle. "Good to see you again, Mr. Aaron. You've certainly gotten a lot bigger since the last I've seen you. I have to admit, when President Douglas sent you to check in on his son, I was a bit worried. I knew you were good friends with his girlfriend, Evelyn Rose, but I also knew that you and Ace didn't have such a good relationship. Still, I know if there's someone who has to guard the president's son, there's no one better than you."

Joey Kurusu

"I'd like to say that this young man resembles my brother, but that would be inaccurate. While he did have his flights of fancy from time to time, this young man takes it to an entirely different level. ...Still, I think he and Gary would have gotten along well. What most people don't know is that Gary, though he kept it a deep-hidden secret, was a lover of... what is it called... oh yeah, anime. I've tried to get into it, but... I don't know, maybe I'm not watching the right kind."

"Besides that, I hear he joined the police in hopes of finding out the truth about his younger sister's murder. He has my respect for that as I can understand him perfectly. Here's hoping he finds what he is looking for."

"Ah, Sasaki-san. An admirable man of the police, I must admit. I've seen him here in Ginza from time to time. Truthfully, I'm not sure why. I assume he is here simply to visit. There is little to no crime here in Ginza that he needs to worry about. I, and my followers, make absolutely sure of that. I suppose the only other explanation is that he is here because suspects me of something. No surprise, really. I often see him in the company of Yuzairu-san from Ueno. Normally, being allied with even one member of the Ueno Division team is enough for me to dislike you. ...However, I bear him no ill will. Perhaps I should invite him here to my sanctuary for a talk. He'll see that everywhere here has only one objective: to lead our fellow brothers and sisters on the right path to paradise. Surely a man such as him cannot fault us that."

Aaron Kyler

"Well now... another American? How interesting... I wasn't aware that someone else from America had made their way here to Japan. And it seems that he is here to serve as a bodyguard for the American ambassador, Mr. Douglas. I see... This, unfortunately, complicates matters. I was hoping to speak with Mr. Douglas, alone. Having his bodyguard here, watching our every move, is a bit of an... annoyance."

"Thankfully, it seems his duty as a bodyguard is only part of the reason why he is here. I'm not sure what it is, but apparently, he is using his position as Mr. Douglas' bodyguard to conduct his own investigation into something. What that is, I'm not sure yet. But if I find out, perhaps I can pass it along his way and get him and Mr. Douglas away from each other. It is something to ponder about..."

Joey Kurusu

"Ah, now this young man, I am quite familiar with. I met him while he was wandering the streets of Ginza, alone, dirty and broken. I brought him inside the church, fed him, and asked him to confide in me. I later found out that he too had lost someone precious to him. A younger sister, in fact. I understood his pain all too well. It's sad when the people who are the dearest to us are the first to always leave. It is completely unfair." Masa sighs and looks off to the side for a bit, looking strangely melancholic. He recovers after a couple of seconds.

"I must say it is good to see him doing well. I've to admit, I had no idea he was an officer of the law. A man like him would be of use in the future. I shall have to invite him to come to one of our services sometime."

"A team of law enforcement officers participating in the D.R.B. Ha, I just know young Oki is going to have some complaints about this. Not surprising considering his... history with law enforcement. Me, I actually see this as an opportunity. Three dedicated officers of the law entering this competition will allow me to further my goals. If, in the process, I can get these men on my side, then all the better. ...Though I must admit, what exactly warrants them to join this competition? It merits an investigation..."

"I met Wataru-san once when he visited Chuohku. I, along with Nemu-san, escorted him to meet Otome-sama so he could personally request to be entered into the D.R.B. I was a bit surprised to hear someone actually ask to be entered into the tournament. Usually, Otome-sama has to force them to join. But I guess she either sympathized with his goal to catch the criminal hiding out in the D.R.B., or she saw nothing wrong with having more divisions join."

"Besides that, I really respect Wataru-san, he seems like the kind of man who actually wants to see justice done and put away criminals. He reminds me a lot of Kisouna-san from Ueno. I guess it makes sense that they work together."

Kyler Aaron

"I've seen this guy here at Chuohku a lot lately. Apparently, he works as the bodyguard for the American ambassador from Okinawa, Ace Douglas. Normally, the women here scoff at the sight of men or do their best to ignore them. However, I've noticed more than a few have turned their heads to stare at this man. ...I won't deny, he's certainly handsome, but I think someone like him may already have someone. If not, then I think the women in America may be blind."

"Besides that, he seems a lot more hospitable than the American ambassador. I haven't talked to him, outside of a 'hi' or a 'hello', but he seems alright. The ambassador could learn something from him."

Joey Kurusu

"He's the only member of this team I haven't met yet. I think Nikki knows more about him, which is a shock. I didn't think she liked hanging around law enforcement. But considering how carefree this guy is, you sometimes forget he's part of the police. I heard he's on a quest to find whoever it was that murdered his younger sister. I hope he succeeds."

Justice Shield

"A team of law enforcement officers. That's something I never thought I'd see in a rap tournament. As I stated, I'm a bit surprised Otome-sama let them form, but it's probably she wants more divisions to compete. Still though, knowing that they are here to investigate criminal activity in the D.R.B. worries me. If there are criminals using this tournament as cover, then it's best we help them uncover them ASAP."

Akihisa's Thoughts on Kanazawa Division

“Ah yes Sasaki I remember our first meeting. I’m sure he remembers it very well considering my bullet flew right by his ear. This was back years before my capture. He had just apprehended a major member of the mafia. So you can imagine his shock when the member’s head exploded in the backseat of his car. He tried chasing after me but I fired a warning shot at him and he froze long enough for me to escape. Thus begins our game of cat and mouse up until I was captured. To this day I say he's extremely irked that I was the only criminal he was never able to personally catch. That I was always able to evade him. That my capture was only due to a stroke of luck. Perhaps it would've made life easier if I had just shot him between the eyes that day. It would've saved me a lot of trouble.”  

Kyler Aaron

“An American? My relationship with America hasn't been the same since I assassinated the former president. Last I heard his vice president took over but lost the reelection to the current president. Douglas? I believe is his name. Never one for politics. When I was eventually captured America asked actually more like demanded Chuohku for my extradition to face trial for the assassination. So you can imagine their outrage when Tohoten refused, saying I would face trial in their courts. The incident straining even further Japan’s relationship with America. As for Aaron, officially he’s here to guard the ambassador from Okinawa but if what I hear is true he's trying to take down "The Commission". I can care less if he kills himself trying to take them down but we're going to have a problem if he comes after Max.”

Joey Kurusu

“Detective Kurursu. I'm not going to pretend you haven't angered me. Your actions set Touya off so badly that he had to be in the psych ward for a week before they deemed him stable enough to return to our cell block. During which he kept screaming he didn't do it. It wasn't until I overheard a guard say you came to interview him because you believe Touya killed your younger sister that I understood why he kept saying that. While I can see the similarities between your sister's case and Touya's victims. You missed one vital fact: all of Touya's victims were over twenty-one. Do you know why that is? Touya would rather deal with his mother’s “loving care” again than harm a child. So take that anger of yours and go elsewhere. You will not find answers for your sister’s death with Touya.”

Justice Shield

“If it wasn't for the fact that we’re technically a “Chuohku team” and that Tohoten herself allowed us to enter. I would say that this team would come after us if only to satisfy their hatred of criminals. I’m going to give this team a warning. Come after us if you wish in fact I encourage it. I assure you though Death Row Block fears no judge, jury, or even executioner. I’ll take great enjoyment destroying you in the arena especially you Sasaki.”

"I've only seen this guy on T.V. once. Apparently, he's some bigshot police officer or something. Like I said, I don't really know much about him, and I'm not at all sorry about that. In case you forget, I have a freaking bounty on my head thanks to Chuohku. And I wouldn't put it past a cop to try to run me in so they can claim that money for themselves..."

"An American... just like that arrogant, racist guy from Okinawa. He doesn't seem too bad, though. But considering he's working with a cop, I think I'll keep my distance. I heard that he works for the FBI. I don't know exactly what they do, but if they're anything like a cop, then I don't need them."

Joey Kurusu

"A... homicide detective? So... what, he investigates killings and stuff? Ha, he'd have his work cut out for him here in Fukuoka. In this place, you're more likely to find a dead body lying on the street than a decent meal. Why else do you think so many of us here aren't afraid to walk around strapped?"

Justice Shield

"A team of cops and law officials joining the D.R.B. ...If that's not a convict's worse nightmare come true, I don't know what is. Honestly, I'm a bit hesitant to participate with them around. But Tasuku tells me that they're actually here because there are rumors about some criminals that have joined the D.R.B. ...I sincerely hope he wasn't referring to us cause that didn't exactly help me sleep well that night..."

“Aww, that’s sweet, how is she?”

“Good for the most part, I feel bad leaving her on her own but she told me not to worry, though I noticed that she’s been wearing a lot of baggy clothing lately…how odd.”

It was only minutes until the end of the day and Rashaad’s birthday, said man was preparing for the rush hour. While most people wouldn’t rather work on their birthday, Rashaad didn’t really mind but that was a topic of conversation for another time, as of now, he was addressed by Ace who had come to give him the new of more gifts he had brought in from outside. Rashaad sighed, “Alright, who’s it from now?”

Ace shrugged, “No clue, they didn’t say.” The answer made the bartender pause and raise a brow before shrugging and sighing once more, he then walked to over where Ace had set down the presents, noticing that there were four in total with different colored wrapping paper, going from: pink, purple, yellow, and then finally, blue.

Deciding to open up the pink present first, he noticed that it was semi-light and in a large square shape, inside he was pleasantly surprised to find a portrait of a coastal city, it was beautifully crafted and was even framed with a golden frame, along with the portrait was a letter.

‘Happy Birthday, Rashaad.

I know it’s been a while since we’ve talked, how are you? I hope life has been treating you well, I heard it was your birthday and I wanted to get you something, I thought about it and then it suddenly came to me, I remember you telling me that you were from Puerto Rico and that you sometimes miss it there so I thought that I would bring a peace of Puerto Rico to you hence this painting, I know it’s not as good as the real thing but I hope you like it, hopefully one day we can talk again, I really enjoy our chats. Happy birthday’

Opening up the purple present which was small in size he noticed but it revealed to be a…figurine? Of a character that looked slightly similar to Rashaad, like the portrait, this one also came with a letter.

Happy birthday, dude! Man, I can’t believe a whole year has passed! How’s it feel to be a year older? Knowing you though, it probably doesn’t mean much but hey! At least you can enjoy being served instead of the one always serving people lmao, anyways I hope you like your gift! It’s a figurine of Agil from Sword Art Online! When I saw it I immediately thought of you and I just knew that I had to give it to you, it’s like having your own miniature twin! We should definitely watch some anime together but that’s a convo for another time, happy birthday man! You really deserve it for putting up with everyone’s shit!’

Opening up the yellow gift, it is revealed to be a basketball themed shot drinking game, compete with little basketball themed shot glasses, like the other two gifts, this one also came with a letter.

‘Happy Birthday, Rashaad.

I know you didn’t expect this but when Evelyn told me it was your birthday, I wanted to get you something, I know what you’re gonna say: you didn’t have to but you’ve been friendly since the day we’ve met not to mention that you’ve been a great help in our investigations that it would just feel wrong not to get you something even as small as this. I heard that you like basketball and combined with your passion for making drinks, I figured this would be something you would enjoy or maybe you can use it for your patrons, it’s your gift. Anyways, happy birthday.’

Opening the blue and final present, it was revealed to be a 1920 jazz record by famous musician, Louis Armstrong. Much like the previous gifts, this one also came it’s a gift.

‘Greetings Rashaad.

I wish you a very happy birthday, I wanted to give you a gift to show my appreciation for you so when I heard that you are a jazz fan, I figured to give you a gift similar to that, I’ll admit, I had some help acquire this from Kyler but he insisted on that I take credit, I hope you enjoy it and once again, happy birthday.’

Happy Birthday Rashaad!

Rashaad had to smile at the picture Kureha had painted for him. He couldn't recall the last time he had seen his birthplace of Puerto Rico. In fact, he had left there when he was 14, but he had spent so much time in New York and Japan that he could only recall vague spots of his home country. He had found the perfect spot in his bedroom to hang up. It would be a reminder of his home country, if only a little part.

He had just come back downstairs to see Evelyn playing with the bobblehead doll of Agni, whom Rashaad had to admit, looked vaguely like him. Meanwhile, Ace was trying out Kyler's gift, though with limited success. For all his skill in American football, it seems he was sorely lacking in basketball.

While his teammates were occupying their team, Rashaad pulled out the Louis Armstrong record. He smiled as he was reminded that this is what his father would always play in his barber shop. Rashaad never understood why. But now that he's older, he finally understood. As he listened to the trumpet being played by the man known far and wide as Satchmo, only one thought passed through the bar owner's mind:

"It's times like these that make me realize that I need to hurry up and learn how to play the saxophone..."

Lyall's Thoughts on Kanazawa Division

“Why I didn't know the Chief had a brother out there.” Lyall laughs as he stares at the photo of the police officer. “I’m kidding but from what I know Sasaki-san and the Chief have known each other since their training days in the police academy. I can see why Sasaki-san is just a shorter version of the Chief. Personally, I've worked with Sasaki-san only a few times, and every time I am reminded of a line of poetry that goes  “Cold had sunk to my soul, and there kept hold” and while I understand that the job of a law enforcer is a heavy one Sasaki-san seems to have completely hardened himself to the world.” 

Kyler Aaron

Lyall whistles. “An FBI agent huh? Didn't think I would ever meet a real one. Can't say I have much against the U.S. Feds but Kaoru….well saying she dislikes them is putting it lightly. The mere mention of them makes her go absolutely feral.” Lyall smirks. “However she has told me why Kyler is over here in the first place beyond his role guarding the U.S. Ambassador. All I have to say is that good luck you’re going to need it if half of what Kaoru tells me about “The Commission” is true.” 

Joey Kurusu 

Lyall smiles at the photo of the blond detective. “Oh, it's Joey. We go way back ever since both of our stints attending rehab. He was in for his gambling addiction and I was in for my drug addiction. Usually, we wouldn't have met considering we were in different areas of the rehab center but I guess Joey got lost while looking for his room and well I found him. I’m pretty sure Joey thought he was dreaming because the famous model and actor Lyall Shiba was in front of him.” Lyall smirked at the memory. “But once he got over being starstruck it wasn't too hard to bond with each other, especially over our desire to be homicide detectives and our shared love for the macabre. We’ve even managed to work on a case together recently although I could've gone without the car chase.” Lyall sighs. “No, but when Joey first told me he was joining the DRB I was concerned especially when he told me the reason why he was joining. Now, it appears that we’ve swapped spots he's the one worried for me and to be honest?” Lyall rubbed his arm. “...He might have reason to.” 

Justice Shield

“Like I've mentioned before Kanazawa is one of our allies in this tournament. Don't get me wrong I'm pretty grateful.” Lyall sighs. “It’s just….I know we’re here to help Sasaki-san with his case but it's pretty obviously why I joined. Anyone with half a brain cell can tell you that. I also know that the Chief has his own reasons for entering something that I'm not privy to. I just hope this doesn't blow up in all of our faces when it finally comes down to it.”

"I've never met Wataru-san, but he seems like an earnest police officer. Mina-chan told me she had a run-in with him one night when he spotted her surrounded by a bunch of guys she had... fed from. I keep telling her that she needs to be more careful when she does that, because she doesn't know who's around. But anyway, I hope he wasn't able to get a good look at her face or anything. I'd rather not have a bunch of police coming down to Setagaya and getting hurt..."

Kyler Aaron

"Wow... an American police officer? I know I shouldn't be totally surprised by that. I'm not American, but... I do feel a bit different than most Japanese people. And that's not simply because I prefer animals than people. But anyway, I heard that this man guards a diplomat from America that lives in Okinawa. That's gotta be a pretty tense job. I wonder how he feels knowing he has to be at his boss's beck and call all the time..."

Joey Kurusu

"Mr. Kurusu?! He's joining this tournament too? I mean, I know that probably shouldn't be much of a shock since I know he's a cop, or a detective, to be exact. If you wondering how I know him, it was because he came into the vet with another man whom I presumed was his boyfriend. They seemed really nice together. But anyway, apparently their pet cat came in for a check-up, so I took care of it for them. Also, after talking with the cat, I recommended they switch from hard cat food to a soft one since it would be better for him in the long run (and because the cat would prefer it better). I haven't seen them back since, but his boyfriend comes back once a month with his cat. I guess his work as a detective must keep him busy."

Justice Shield

"Wow, a whole team of police officers. That's... really surprising. I wonder why they're joining. ...It's not cause of Mina, is it?! I really hope not! I know she shouldn't be attacking people, but she has no choice! It's the only way she can survive! And she doesn't kill them when she's done! ...At least, I hope not. But I really hope that's not the case. Maybe they're looking for someone else! ...If it's not Mina, then... I certainly hope it's not Yorii, either. Though knowing him... him getting arrested was only a matter of time..."
