今ある剣道の考え方や価値観は、結局は試合で勝ち残って来た人や高段者の方など、いわゆる「勝者」が解釈して作り上げたものだと感じています。 私は強豪選手でも何でもなかったので、そういった価値観に対する違和感をずっと感じて来ました。 例えば、「強い人ほど人として優しくあれ」「正しい技で勝つのが美徳」等、こういった価値観は素晴らしいとは思いますが、元々いじめられっ子で「弱者」であった私にとっては、単純に「生きるか死ぬか」というシンプルでむき出しの感情がメインで、そういったことを考える余裕などありませんでした。
