For posts about the 3rd hypothetical killing game, I did actually make a tag for that! I'll add it onto this post as well so you can look through all the other posts easily.

And for those wondering, I have come up with a few more characters since then.

First, I'm thinking of scrapping Kokomi, and replacing her with Ena Shinonome (Project Sekai). Kanade gets a friend yippee! Also I know that gets rid of the potential "protag finally comes alone without a friend from their media" idea but this killing game will never actually happen so put down the complaint slab.

The thing is, however, Ena isn't just going to be a support, but actually a second protagonist! How does that work? Well, uh, I haven't really decided on all the specifics but I was thinking at certain points in the narrative, the POV would swap between Kanade and Ena. Whether this be in the same chapter, or one POV per chapter, I'm not sure. Does this make them exempt from either of them dying with this concept? Not really, but it depends how everything would play out.

Otherwise, some other characters I'd like to add next include: Rodrick Heffley (Diary of a Wimpy Kid) because I think his personality would be a funny clash with some others, and Filbo Fiddlepie (Bugsnax) as I recently re-watched that funny lil game and thought it would nice to add some rep from that. I mean, it doesn't have to be Filbo but he also has an interesting personality to add to the mix. And since we already have some puppet/la creatura characters like Duck, Pim and Charlie, it's not like he'd stick out like a sore thumb.

I was also thinking of maaaybe adding some rep from Lookism? Does anyone know what that is? It's this Korean webcomic about a guy with two bodies (where one is hyper conventionally attractive) and also there's a fight scene every other panel /hj

Character wise for that I was thinking either Vasco, Zoe, Jiho or Jay since they're my favourites heha

I do want to mention that I strongly believe this is a prequel due to a conversation I had with a bunch of people on discord earlier. (Everyone was 16+, dw.)

I haven’t seen anything about the first two at all so far, so I’ll be skipping over them and onto the third guy (oh my fucking lord).

It seems that here this guy has some sort of relationship to XF-Future Tech, which if you’ve seen Min’s side story, you’d know is the company that came into her life and groomed her to be the Ultimate Student. She received special tutoring for them and worked her ass off for that title her entire life because of that. Next, this guy shares the same tie pin she does, and it’s also very notable that she dresses up with the same button down and tie in her MV. Not only do I think she is linked to the company now, but she might be working there before she was in the game. Who knows, though.

Next, I have not seen anything on the fourth girl besides a bunch of people on discord theorizing what the dandelion in her hair could mean. Unfortunately dandelions have different meanings from different cultures all over the world, so until it’s specified about where she’s from, I don’t think there’s many assumptions we can make yet.

Number Five, the purple guy.

Everyone seems to think so far that this is Elliot Cuevas, Charles Cuevas’s deceased brother. Now let me tell you that although I can’t see it based off design, the way he looks (playful and kinda weird but happy) and the way he was described by the creator in the latest qna (a popular joyous dude), can definitely make me see this being real. The only thing that is super far fetched about this is that we know he died a long time ago, and so if this is a prequel, it would have to be at least 15 years before drdt even starts.

Here’s also some more evidence from @sunlit-haru supporting the ‘that’s Elliot’ theory.

Now we’re up to the protagonist, who mind you is definitely my favorite so far. I will eliminate the rest of you protag dickriders so I will be the only simp left.

ANYWAYS, in the about page for this, it’s stated that this is a fangan for someone who wants to be the perfect teacher. Now with the hidden quote on the drdt tumblr page about this teacher…

Uh oh. I think we’ve figured out who this mysterious teacher might be. As for who is talking to them, I’ve personally got a few ideas, but they are not backed with any evidence.

1. The mastermind from this first killing game

2. Mai Akasaki or David Chiem still

3. The mastermind of the drdt killing game

Whoever it is, I think that these games are surely related and that each current kg participant does have a relation with one of these cast members. And that previous killing game’s end is why this one is happening.

Then, based off the post up top and a few others, people seem to think this is Teruko’s brother. I’m going to give a wild theory (no evidence) that Mai Akasaki knows him, only bc of the red in his hair. Then I think Mai would’ve found Teruko, and she would’ve been trying to reconnect them. Just a theory, though. There’s no evidence based around that this guy might be Teruko’s brother though, sadly.

Last but not least, @1moreff-creator pieced together some of the text on his badge:

Sadly I cannot link the image of what the phone number gets to, but it gets linked to a yellow pill. I don’t have any ideas on how it would relate to the game, but I think it does. It’s used for high blood pressure and heart failure. If he’s really related to Teruko, I wouldn’t be surprised if he had high blood pressure lmao.

Also, the area code for 555 is just North America.

Here’s what I found on Wikipedia:

I don’t understand the first part, but it seems that this is a fictional number. If someone could explain to me wtf that first part even memes, I might be able to give more info.

Anyways, it seems that this guy ended up being a teacher at HPA, before or after the killing game. But I think this was very worth mentioning.

Unfortunately I’ve seen nothing about the next two, but I want to say that the girl in all pink (#8) I think is Felicity Giles, if that’s even possible. I just feel that’s Arturo’s sister. I know, I’m a weirdo. Even if #7 looks more like Arturo, I just cannot see it.

Moving on, nine and ten! If you look at them closely they’ve got the same eye pattern, suggesting they’re siblings, or likely twins, since they’ve got the fire/ice scheme going on.

Lastly, eleven which oh my god, Arturo’s dream girl! But she’s been theorized to be Whit’s mom. Here’s the post that argues a pretty convincing reason of why.

Oh boy. That woman is pretty cool and is very elegant, and has the same shade of blond hair that Whit dyed his too. I don’t think she’s any coincidence.

But joining along on that last little paragraph of this person’s post, it’s starting to seem a lot of characters do have connections to this cast and are seemingly mentioned quite a few times.

UPDATE: oh my lord, @accirax literally went on a deep dive for us and gave us a pretty good explanation and educated guess on everyone’s talents. I’m not going to link it because they covered pretty much every logical point as to why they have their guesses. Why People Don't Like Ozzy (and why they do like other characters)

Every fandom has its favourites, and that of KG2 isn't exempt– just look at all the content of Penny, Ted, Nugget and Felix lol. But if there's one character that Kindergarten fans don't often think or care about, it's Ozzy.

At first glance, it seems obvious why. He's pretty whiny and a big downer, instantly dislikes the protag, and doesn't really have any shown positive qualities. He talks constantly about his allergies and asthma, obsesses over his routine, is willing to strangle Protag without a second thought, and the player is actively encouraged to kill him in Ted's mission.

But really, Ozzy's just, well. A five-year-old. Out of the KG cast, he's the one who acts most his age: he's rude at times, very focused on himself, and sulks about his favourite toy being broken– and those are all traits you'd expect from a kindergartener. He's surrounded by more emotionally compelling and mature characters, making him seem babyish in comparison.

His fears about his asthma and allergies are honestly valid, considering that the world in which he lives contains people constantly trying to off each other. He knows he's not well-liked, that his science teacher would (and does) use his corpse as a cadaver, that he could literally die from either of these things being set off.

Leading on from that, is his apathy regarding killing the protag really that surprising? He, like all the other students, knows what happens when people are sent to the principal's office or Danner gets out his laser gun. It wouldn't be surprising if he's just accepted death as part of his routine by then, unbothered by and desensitised to it just like the other kids.

He has problems with change, as little kids often do, and it's entirely reasonable that he's so upset about his friends getting "transferred". He just lost everyone he cared about seemingly because of the new kids, so his immediate response is to dislike them. He has a right to be worried and angry about Madison & co disappearing, most likely having seen plenty of people die in his school, but there's nothing he can do but take it out on Protag. Heck, if the player gives him the battery, he's even willing to give him a chance at friendship, saying that maybe the new kids aren't all bad and asking if Kid wants to play with him.

So why do people not like Ozzy, but find favourites in other characters? Take Felix, for example (on whom this fandom is typically divided into 2 extremes: loving and despising). He kills his brother remorselessly, is willing to further disable a paralysed child, cares only for himself and constantly belittles everyone around him.

But Felix is also a really fun character. His motives are great to explore, his relationship with Ted equally so, his manner of speaking is wonderful and he has some really good lines (e.g. "the real treasure is the friends we buried alive along the way"). He's so pompous that it's funny, he's always a blast to watch, and there's a lot of potential for angst for him.

Ozzy only murders one person, but that's the player. He's an obstacle, not meant to be liked. Felix murders his twin, but there's a whole lot to read into with that. He's a likeable character with an enjoyable story, and he typically comes with ball-of-sunshine Ted.

Ted is easy to like. People are sympathetic towards him because of Cain's Not Able and his seemingly horrible father. He's nice to Felix and feels had about killing Ozzy. His only motives are pleasing his brother, showing his loyalty and desperation to prove himself and be loved.

But he does kill Ozzy, or at least get Protag to do so for him, and plans the whole thing out independantly despite Felix saying that he would take care of it. He's not as dumb as Felix makes him out to be, can be cold-blooded and strategic when necessary, sticks to his plan no matter who it hurts (e.g. Carla with the gum, Ozzy himself) all in the name of showing he's capable. Ted isn't as innocent as people like to pretend, but he is more considerate than plenty the other characters.

Characters like Cindy and Buggs make Penny & Ted look like angels, and the big personalities everyone else possesses make Ozzy seem pretty boring. He's not particularly compelling, we're not supposed to like him, his only major plot point is that Ted wants the player to kill him, and he only ever shows concern for himself and characters whose only personalities are being experiments.

Even then, he refuses to hug Madison after she comes out of the lab, telling her to take a bath and calling her gross. We know what Madison has been through as the Protag so we feel bad for her, but looking at the situation through Ozzy's eyes is entirely different.

She's covered in something that looks disgusting and he's trying to get on him, and Ozzy hates getting dirty. All he's been told is that it's from the principal's secret lab, which only makes it seem more unhygienic. He's fully aware of the rules in science and labs at school, reminding Danner multiple times, and his mom has clearly enforced these before.

Again, he's five, so his lack of a filter isn't entirely his fault. He doesn't possess the emotional maturity to see that might upset her, he's just glad that she's back and scared of her touching him with her goo. He doesn't know she was kidnapped, he doesn't know what the goo is, he doesn't know why she didn't reach out if she was at school the whole time. He suggests something he sees as perfectly reasonable, and moves on with his life.

One of Ozzy's main characteristics is that he's a germophobe. Getting mad at him for that would be like getting mad at Ted for his arachnaphobia–even if Ozzy's ruder and more blunt about his fear.

Overall, people don't like Ozzy mostly because they don't find him interesting. He's not endearing or sweet, isn't shown as a nice character, and doesn't really have any spotlight moments like Felix or Penny. Nugget, too, is liked because of how new and unpredictable he is as a character, as well as some of his more emotional moments– all of which Ozzy lacks.

This has been on my mind for a little while, and it's been fun to put it into words! Thanks for getting this far into my little ramble, and I'd love it if you shared your thoughts!! Discussing things like this with people is always nice :D

OMG YAAAY.. so a bit of context this is a verse where everybody lives, either because they were saved at the last minute (deaths like irl chiaki, natsumi, satou, [sdra2 spoiler]) or bcs [dra spoiler] (sorry im not sure if uve finished the game yet LAWL and its like a rlly important one). everybody is ALIVE! but they still sustained horrific trauma. also future foundation covered up the tragedy from the new generation.

i dont have my canongame fankids fleshed out yet, but i have all my dra/sdra2 ones ! i evwn have the death order heheehehehehe (i can put that in a seperate post Probably)

the protag is my scrunklie azumi makunouchi ult conspiracy theorist and she trusts Nobody except her sibling naoko. and then theres actually FOUR masterminds a group called the upholders!! their whole thing is that their ringleader learned abt the tragedy/kgs and was like "thats fucked up everybody should know that" and told the others but bcs their (the ringleaders) luck is Fucked Up basically the way it works is they can only achieve smth rlly rlly big that they rlly rlly want by uh. making Sacrfifices. and revealing the truth abt the tragedy/kgs is such a Big Thing that it needs an Equally Big Sacrifice such as a killing game! so the upholders decide to hit two birds w one stone and reveal the truth via a killing game.

Miraidon 2.0, formerly known as P.A.L., is able to do many things as it was programmed to do. Based on a Pokemon known as Cyclizar from the past, Miraidon was programmed to be an overall companion Pokemon to those with needs. It can change between several forms (drive, aquatic, glide) to assist with terrain coverage and has a fully-powered form for battle known as Ultimate Mode. Unlike the Protag's Miraidon, this Miraidon is from further in the future with additional traits. Miraidon 2.0 is capable of speech by running a text-to-speech program and is able to determine the ingredients of dishes it is fed (although it doesn't actually consume the food). Unfortunately, this model of its type suffered major corruption in its code while transported by Professor Turo and it is prone to glitches which makes it far more aggressive when it glitches.

 A young EMT in training, Shuu is the eldest of three kids, who began pursuing a career in medicine after his parents died in a car accident. While he's been quite successful in saving lives, he often downplays his role a lot of the time and doesn't feel good enough to accept compliments for his work. Even so, he always keeps a level head when under pressure and remains focused on the situation at hand. While he's pretty friendly, if quiet, he also has a morbid sense of humor that can be off-putting to a lot of people. One day, after a routine call, he ends up dragged into the enigmatic Absolution Program.

On the surface, Mitsuri- or "Mimi" as she likes to call herself- is a sweet, cheerful girl with a talent for solving puzzles and breaking through barriers, albeit one who can quickly turn sad and self-pitying if things don't go her way. Underneath that, however, she's obsessive, aggressive, intimidating and overprotective of those she cares about. Her persona can switch rapidly given the circumstances, but generally, she's willing to work with the group and help with investigations, albeit mostly to protect the target of her affections: Shuu, the paramedic who saved her life.

Name: Dento Nomura Talent: Ultimate Historical Reenactor  Gender: Male Height: 190 cm Weight: 97 kg Birth Date: December 17 Chest Size: 113 cm Blood Type: A Likes: Teaching history Dislikes: Tuna

Large and loud, Dento is a passionate historical educator who prefers to teach by example. This has often lead to him spending all his time in character while wearing historical outfits, particularly suits of armor. While he can be quite intimidating and often lets his emotions get the better of him, he’s also a very moral and down-to-earth man who tackles problems head on. He always tries to others in need, a trait that proves very helpful within the confines of the Absolution Program, especially alongside Shuu.

So yeah, Shuu is our protag, Mim the deuteragonist and Dento the tritagonist/resident big guy, with a very complicated relationship and dynamic, but a trio that can help lead the others to victory.

As for their designs, I haven’t drawn them yet, but I do have inspirations in mind:

Shuu takes inspiration from Akitaru Obi from Fire Force, although with an EMT outfit and scythe-shaped ahoge.

Mimi takes inspiration from Mao Nonosaka from Future Diary, though her outfit would look a lot different in color and design and she’d wear a necklace with a skeleton key. She’d still have the hat though.

Dento, meanwhile, wears a full-body suit of armor like this. While you don’t see his face, his helmet still manages to be expressive and he exhibits a lot of body language. He also carries around a fake sword he waves around for emphasis.

Oh yeah I also had this dream-based-on-thoughts thing where makan was in a kg and she was a spy that had to save everyone from the kg (everyone know she was a spy and she was Not a student ofc but kinda like a teacher that was the protag of the story i think?) And basically monokuma was rude 2 her for spy stuff and hed also kinda tease her and flirt with her to piss her off but it gradually made her flustered and stuff which makes monokuma go "oh no this is going in a direction i dont want it to" and it leads to makan being slightly affectionate towards him as well and everyine notices her being all bashful towards him and stuff and they snuggle at one posint too I guess

I have a question!

If you ever were to make danganronpa 3 after the current one your making, would it be possible to add in characters from the shrek franchise, examples being Prince Charming and Arthur Pendragon (Due to the fact that there aren't much of them in Fandomronpa and KGs)

You can also say your cast ideas if possibles. I don't mind.

I remember answering a similar question while working on DR69 along the lines of “are you going to make a sequel” where I answered no. So. That one aged poorly lmao

However!! This time I really don’t see myself making a 3rd killing game. Making a 2nd one, especially on a more lengthier scale, is very time consuming and has been especially stressful during some times. That is not to say I don’t like making killing games! I just don’t think I want to go through another cycle of plot/murder case/etc. planning. Also since I want to focus my time on my OC comic after DR96 I just don’t see where it’d fit.

While I have seen some fangans use Shrek characters (mainly just Shrek himself tbh), I think Prince Charming would be an interesting cast member. You could do a lot with the power and ego he has.

Now call me a hypocrite because I have technically thought about who a hypothetical “3rd cast” would consist of (without the will of actually going through with it). The main ideas I have are Kanade Yosaki (Project Sekai), Wallace (Wallace and Grommit), Charlie and Pim (Smiling Friends), Shiver and Frye (Splatoon 3), Duck (DMHIS) and… Alex YIIK. Yes I think it would be funny ok

besides illegal/abusive stuff i REALLY hate hinanami tsumioda saimatsu .im a bit of a hater in general tbh so there are a lot more but hinanami makes me crazy uncomfy and i dont see any chemistry, tsumioda is so mutually awful for each other that i cant even like it as a divorce, and saimatsu is forced and unhealthy.

So I have had this HC for V3’s chapter 3 for awhile and I wanted to share with you:

So let’s say after the 3rd trial, the Necronomicon actually works and brings back a deceased participant which happens to be Kaede Akamatsu. Here me out as this HC goes like this: Kaede comes back to life and is part of the killing game again BUT she isn’t the same because of her death experience, she’ll be more distant and locks herself in her room most of the time. This is wear Shuichi will have to not only be the “leader” of the group but help heal Kaede’s mentality which could lead to having Kaede being playable in class trials along with Shuichi. Wouldn’t it be interesting that Shuichi has to help Kaede regain her confidence back and then, in trial 5 for example, that they have to argue against each other on who is in the robot suit. Once we get to the final class trial, it will be revealed that this Kaede isn’t the real Kaede but her twin sister that became an understudy after the real Kaede died. See this way we could have “Kaede” back in the game and working along with Shuichi (because we know that V3 is infamous on switching between protags) plus it’s not like we had a character absent from a class trial then comes back later (Nekomaru, DR2). Anyway that my HC….thoughts?

Well, it's an exciting idea that would have made for a good plot twist back when the game was released. These days, it lacks the element of surprise since the "Kaede's twin is in the KG" trope has been used in many popular fics. It would definitely give the Necronomicon a realistic explanation, though.

This idea would probably harm the rest of the cast, though. With "Kaede" back, the attention would be centered around her and Shuichi, taking significant development away from Maki and Kaito as parts of the Training Trio. As such, would Chapter Five even unfold the way it did? Wouldn't Kokichi instead try to mess with "Kaede" and Shuichi? It's an intriguing question that lacks a definitive answer. But I do like the idea, and it could be fascinating in an AU.
