Don't Lose Hope.
After watching our candidate, her team, and supporters put all their work, effort, time, money, and tears into the 2022 Elections, it feels like a dark shadow has been cast on our country again and there's nothing we can do about it.
I'm so sorry to the families who were victimized by the Marcoses. I'm so sorry to those who died trying to stop a ruthless and corrupt dictator, only for his son to wind up as President of our poor and starving country. I'm sorry to victims of the Marcos family, to those victims whose bodies were found and those whose bodies are lost in a place that their loved ones cannot find. I'm sorry to those who witnessed Martial Law and celebrated when Ferdinand Marcos was ousted, thinking their children won't have to suffer the way the Filipinos did in the 70s-80s. I'm sorry to those in lower socioeconomic status families who voted for Leni with hopes that she would be able to bring about change as our President. I'm sorry to everyone who hoped for a better future, only for evil to prevail.
Our hearts ache. Today, I watched my 81 year old grandfather sit on his own in a depressed mood because he couldn't believe that after doing his part in history by joining the EDSA revolution and voting on May 9, he was watching history repeat itself. He is too old to worry...but he worries because he cares the future of his family and country when he is gone.
But this is only the beginning. Before things will get better, they will get worse. But things can still get better. We cannot lose hope, because that's exactly what our corrupt government wants.
If you are lucky enough to be in class A and B, please do your part to help the less fortunate. We will suffer, but we will not suffer as gravely as those who live hand to mouth on a daily basis. It is easy to think that they might deserve it because they were the bulk of the voters who supported the Marcos family's return. But the truth is that their return has been carefully prepared for, for decades. Fake news, vote buying, poll manipulation, cronyism, corruption, political dynasties. The real evil lies in those with power and privilege who are educated enough to know better but choose not to do better. There is a reason why education is normally given the smallest budget, because these corrupt politicians benefit from the less fortunate's ignorance and miseducation.
The day will come when we are called to rally again and fight for our freedom. Until then, do not lose hope and do not forget to act as the miracle in other people's lives. The evilness of our government should not push us to tolerate and enable such behavior or worse, be as uncaring and without compassion as they are. Our country can be better if we continue to push ourselves to be better and demand our government to be better.
God bless you guys. To the non-Filipinos, please pray for our country or help spread the news about what is happening to us. We really need it.

I rarely post anything original (or political) on Tumblr, but this is one of those moments where I can't sit by.
----------
The people of the Philippines need international coverage now more than ever. We're at the risk of letting the son of a dictator sit at the president's seat. We're at the risk of another Ferdinand Marcos (Jr.; nicknamed BongBong Marcos/BBM) Ferdinand Marcos Sr., the dictator that declared Martial Law, which caused 3,000+ deaths, 34,000+ tortured (in so many different horrific ways), 70,000+ to be imprisoned, and hundreds of billions of pesos* to be plundered for their greed.
(Pesos = PH currency)
It would have been very different if the son acknowledged and denounced the crimes his father had done to our people. It would have been different if he paid his estate tax (203B afaik). But he hasn't. He refuses to acknowledge these things. And so we risk history revisionism. We can't allow our history to be changed to suit these people's desire.
The dictator has been dead many years already. But his mother still pulls the strings. His mother, Imelda Marcos, who has over 3,000+ pairs of expensive shoes, who so badly wanted to have an animal "oasis" that she had her husband's military force a village of 450+ families to leave so that she could use that land for the animals. (Which, by the way, they shouldn't even be there. Those animals were bought with a portion of the Marcos' ill-gotten wealth)
The Marcoses fled with their ill-gotten wealth when the people of the Philippines finally decided to fight back during the EDSA People Power Revolution in 1986. They were exiled to Hawaii. They were permitted to return to the Philippines in 1991 by then-President Corazon Aquino so that they may face the charges being placed against them. Marcos Sr. died in 1989, before the family was permitted to return.
Imelda unsuccessfully ran for president a year after returning, but lost (thankfully). But her children BBM and Imee Marcos both won seats in the House of Representatives. Then later they would both win seats in the Senate. Bear in mind, neither of these children ever denounced their parents' evil doings. They always called for fake news.
And now, more than two decades later, we're at the risk of Marcos Jr. becoming president. The elections are being rigged as his sister, Imee, is the current Chairperson of COMELEC*. The appointees of COMELEC right now are all appointed by current President Rodrigo Duterte, whose daughter, Sara Duterte, is running for Vice President under the same camp as BBM. Yet another political dynasty.
(COMELEC = Commission of Elections)
They're apparently "done counting" over 80% of the votes when, oh-so-coincidentally, there are hundreds of voting machines that are apparently malfunctioning, so many missing/broken SD cards, and vote buying. Not to mention the hundreds of people in multiple precincts that still haven't even voted (I could be wrong as of now, since I'm posting this a day late)
As I type this, tens of thousands of my people prepare to march once again in protest against these rigged decisions. They're being red-tagged* as terrorists, even though people are peacefully walking, standing for what's right.
(Red-tagged = being identified/tagged and put under a terrorist watch-list)
Please. If you can, spread this message to as many places as you can. We're all still fighting so hard to prevent this from happening. We need the Leni Robredo-Kiko Pangilingan camp to win. They're the only ones who can keep these two from winning. We're desperate.
Please.

hello to my filipino followers near ust (the university of santo tomas)! the ppcrv needs your help.
the ppcrv is a non-partisan, non-sectarian, non-profit organization affiliated with the roman catholic church in the philippines that works to ensure free, fair and fraud-free elections in the philippines. (taken from twt)
they need more manpower to manually count our ballots and votes. this is to recheck the unofficial partial tally of the comelec (the commission on elections). the comelec’s tally relies on machines which may be manipulated or glitched to provide an unfair result.
they are our last hope in a plot twist for the right leader.
here are the details to sign up (the slots in their website are already filled, but you can walk in as a volunteer.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
if you have the time, please please volunteer. this is not for monetary gain. hindi sila bayad. food and water is provided. it is recommended that you bring a jacket as well as it is cold. if you are a minor, student ids are welcomed as well.
please expect that you will be volunteering for hours.

I REGRET BEING APOLITICAL
As I dwelled in my own bubble of my ignorance and apolitical luxury, I turned to realize that chosing to remain neutral was a mistake. A huge mistake. For I turned a blind eye to issues that made the masses suffer and chosing to live in a world of black and white. I would have chosen the side of the oppressor if I ultimately chose to remain neutral until the very end.

“Ang Namulat ‘di na muling Mapipikit”
Which basically means that once your eyes are opened they can no longer be closed (talking about social injustice).
As my country grieves for what could have been these words struck a match in me and reminded me that the last 3 months spent advocating and campaigning for candidates who only wanted the best for our nation was not for nothing 💖🌸🌷✨
Kulay rosas parin ang bukas! 🌷🌸💖

So I might not be active for good few days since my country is going to a shitstorm as we speak since they want to elect a dictator's son instead of a woman that has all the credentials to back it up.
we're in the all-time low right now and we're gonna fight the good fight for the country.
I don't pray or ask prayers, but this time. For the sake of my family, for the sake of my husband, my daughter, my parents and sibling, for the sake of every single individual that strives for a better future, please place us in your prayer as we might live the nightmare of 36 years ago all over again.

HELP THE YOUTH STAY EDUCATED ABOUT THE MARCOS DICTATORSHIP
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Pre-order these books here.
With Sara Duterte as Vice President and now Secretary of Education, we must prepare for the likelihood of historical revisionism in the youth's education, which first started when corrupt Dictator Ferdinand Marcos' body was allowed to be transferred to Libingan ng Mga Bayani (Cemetary of Heroes) despite the protests of thousands of Filipinos.
"presumptive vice president Sara Duterte-Carpio on Thursday said the Philippines needs a future generation of Filipinos who will advocate for “peace and discipline” in the communities."
The daughter of a man who killed thousands of people, and paved the way for the Marcos family to be accepted by Filipinos once more. She intends to do this under the leadership of Bong Bong Marcos, who has refused to apologize for the murders, tortures, sexual abuse, and theft that his family and cronies have committed.
Before they get their claws deeper into our education system, please try to buy any one of these books for your younger relatives or future children.
We cannot allow them to change history. We cannot lose hope. We must continue to fight for our country, even if it just means staying educated.
If you are not Filipino, please pass on the news about what is happening to our country. Help the world know what is happening to us, because this could happen to you.

I don’t care what the exact numbers are, but I sure am one of them.
The feeling lingers. It’s already been a week since the Araw Na10 ‘To Rally in Pasay, and I can still feel the euphoria that I experienced while I was there.
I was hesitant at first. Using the words my best friend said, I was already fulfilled since I’ve already been to a Leni-Kiko rally before. My best friend wasn’t, so she made sure to attend the rally after her duty at the hospital. She was sleepless and tired, but she was still there with her husband and some other friends.
Why didn’t I want to go? I’m very familiar with the venue—there wouldn’t be any shade there. I knew it’s gonna be hot—it’s the middle of summer. There’s still COVID-19, I had to work at our office the following week and we had to undergo antigen testing before we’re allowed to get into our office building. I haven’t been sleeping well the week before. And my sister said we’ll be sharing an Airbnb unit between up to six people if everyone pushes through. You can only imagine the amount of discomfort these things could bring.
But my friends were very encouraging. And one of my closest friends at work was envious that I could attend the rally, and she just kept on pushing me—she was unavailable that time, but both of us were able to attend the Pasiglaban rally. We didn’t get to meet there even though we planned to. There were just too many people and the network signals were so weak, you could hardly send any message.
My best friend and I also planned on meeting at the rally this time around, but we had the same problem and she and her husband opted on staying on a different stage.

I braved the heat. I stood for about twelve hours from noon until almost midnight. And it wasn’t just me. We were hundreds of thousands. I sang with them, cheered with them, jumped with them... we were tired, and we were happy.
And we’re all fighting for the same cause. For the truth. For the good governance our nation deserves.
One of the many reasons why I’m voting for Leni is because she brings out the best of the Filipinos. People write songs, make art, cook food and share it. There are volunteers in all aspects that you can think of that would help with her campaign. In here, you’ll witness the spirit of bayanihan that’s innate with us Filipinos.
I’m proud of what I’m fighting for. Even when surveys say that we still have a long way to go or that we may end up not winning at all, I’d still be proud.

Reasons why I hate FILIPINOS':
1. Filipino refuse to accept modernization and stick to their inhuman beliefs that are harmful to others.
2. WE HAVE A POOR EDUCATION SYSTEM, CORRUPT GOVERNMENT.
3. We are poor financially but are rich in problems and issues.
4. I AM BORN HERE
5. People are toxic, the environment is toxic, everything is toxic.
6. People here value ego more than morals and ethics.
7. People want a change but don't want to change.
8. People refuse to believe what is right to feed their pride and ego.
9. People here are egocentric and perfect.
10. PEOPLE BELIEVE IN FAKE NEWS BUT NOT IN FACTS AND LEGIT SOURCES.
11. MORALS AND DIGNITY NEVER WON OVER MONEY
12. Youth are never valued, we are just judged and can be seen when we make mistakes.
13.HISTORY can be rewritten easily, it have a lot of versions, and it will be easily believed by anyone.
14. Peoples pride here is so high they make bullshits to backup they unreasonable actions and decisions with myths, gossips and fake news.
15. They are greedy, liars, dumb, egocentric, narcissistic, and bad. Satan is afraid of them.

sa work a friend of mine is bbm tapos may friend kami na anti marcos dati na naging pro-marcos at madami daw syang alam na facts and nag research daw talaga siya for years kaya sya bbm ngayon. since i'm anti marcos, my friend suggested na mag debate kami ng friend ko na yon para magkaalamanan na.
i said no.
guys, alam ko some of us are not interested to learn or read about politics. alam ko minsan boring, pero para naman yon sa atin. please let's learn from trusted resources hindi puro sabi sabi lang.
as of my friends sa work na puro bbm, ang sakin lang naman is mag spread ako lagi ng facts about the marcoses and of course yung credibility ni VP Leni. pero makipag bardagulan? oo, nakakagigil pero sabi nga ni VP, mas radikal mag mahal.
if ayaw nila makinig, ipaglaban na lang natin sila.
