The cross over you never knew you wanted. I sure as hell didn’t expect it.

It all started with me scolling Tumblr and reblogging this

Which lead to a conversation with @kagetsukai (I do blame you for about 40% of this) and suddenly I could see it in my head. It wouldn’t leave me alone until I drew it so I did.

I am really happy with how it turned out. I felt super rusty starting out, I haven’t been drawing much lately, but asi got into it, the drawing came together so well. I am so proud of it.

I don't know if this is already been talked about or not, but I realized a day ago that in some gifs of FO it looked like Cal has a faint scar on the left side of his neck, but I figured it might also be a weird shadow effect. Thing was is that it was always in the same spot and on the same side. I went to try and find proof that it isn't just shadowing. Today I found some good quality photos that seem to confirm my suspicions that he does in fact have a neck scar.

I NEED to know how he got all of his scars aside from the blaster scar! Did he get in some scraps? Are they work accident scars from Bracca? Why design a character with multiple facial scars and not let us know the backstory behind them all!

At least some of the screenshot credit goes to @liderfin I don't remember where else I found these, they may also have been from you. If anyone else took any of the others let me know and I'll edit the post to credit

43. Is there anyone in your fandom who really inspires you?

So many?? The dragon age fandom is really inspiring. I love writing from @galadrieljones and @buttsonthebeach and @littleblue-eyedbird and @bearly-tolerable and @idrelle-miocovani and @ellstersmash and @wardsarefunctioning and @tel-abelas-mofo and so many others - their writing is just straight up great. I’m sure I’m forgetting some people I look up to!

There are so many wonderful artists - @nipuni @hansaera @destinyapostasy @laskulls @elvenbeard @antivancorvo @galadrieljones @ladylike-foxes um and many others - it’s such a pleasure seeing amazing art on my dash.

I’m inspired by the beautiful screenshots of @rhunae @niceguar @liderfin @diagk @solas-an @iawv @water-whisp and many others.

I’m so inspired by the richness and diversity here - how so many people bring something unique and special and important to them to the table, in a very different way than you see outside fandom.

I’m inspired by all the ideas people have of their OCs - each one unique and wonderful. I’m overwhelmed by the creativity and it is both humbling and invigorating.

I love this fandom so fucking much.

51. Rant or Gush about one thing you love or hate in the world of fanfiction! Go!

I’ve gushed above, and it still stands for fanfic specifically - the diversity and the richness is amazing in fanfics.

For rants - I dislike the ‘purity’ culture I sometimes see applied to fanfic, especially on tumblr. Not from my general circle, I curate my dash pretty carefully, but sometimes I still come across things. Censorship will in the end harm more than it helps.

The whole idea that shipping and relationships especially needs to be ‘correct’ for fanfic annoys me - this is fiction, not real life. It doesn’t mean you can’t learn from it, but I wish it was assumed that readers would reflect. I trust my readers, and fics have ratings and tags for a reason.

sidenote: I LOVE tags - sometimes I can get a little annoyed trying to find the right ones and trying to second guess how people will interpret my tags, but as a concept I think tags is really awesome.

hey, i've been following you for a long time but i haven't been using this blog much lately and my dash kind of died. do you know any good blogs that most mostly dragon age content and are solas positive? it's kind of difficult to be sure about blogs that are ok to follow in this fraught and terrifying fandom

aww sure. I’ll do my best; this of course isn’t a comprehensive list but here’s some off the top of my head that I enjoy following! My fav game still remains Dragon Age Inquisition although I try to take a break from it (after playing 2.5k hours). So, here’s the results:

Cassandra, Varric, Cullen. Cole, Dorian, Ty Trevelyan, The Iron Bull, Solas + Fen’lan Lavellan, Sera + Solas + Blackwall, Solas.

I am unsure if they are my absolute favourites. And yet, I think they are the ones that brings happy memories/connotations while playing the game. Each of them is special, each of them evokes different emotions. And I’m ever grateful to Bioware to give us such a great game (if only for the characters).
