telling myself i can't start another tdwt rewrite but dear god do i want to write one focusing on alejandro and courtney in this weird situationship thats a lot more nuanced than just alejandro manipulating courtney and her falling for it. like theyre best friends they dont trust each other theyre the same person they dont know anything about the other one theres a mutual attraction theyre pining for other people theyre codependent they dont care about each other theyre platonic soulmates like i just want to do a deep dive into how messy that relationship couldve been building off of their friendship that exists in my head except the line between romantic and platonic is so fucking blurred they have no idea what they are to the other person
#they live rent free in my head as you can tell#ive been writing some intense moments for them in amicus curiae and im having a lot of Feelings about platonic alecourtney#tbh the whole concept of them replacing the best friends has been a great avenue for me to do a deep dive into their friendship#aughhhh i just. love them so much#and i do want to explore them in a situation where there is relationship potential even if that relationship never actually happens#because everything between them during tdwt could be so MESSY!!#like alejandro says he's just manipulating courtney but he's also doing it to make heather jealous but he's also genuinely worried about he#after the duncan thing but this is the only way he knows how to express that concern without making himself look weak#meanwhile courtney is falling for the act but she also knows its an act and is going with it for the emotional support it provides and shes#just doing it to make duncan/gwen jealous but she also is starting to see the real alejandro underneath it all because he does care even#though he doesn't want to and they do feel a strong connection that they dont know whether its platonic or romantic because romance is bein#shoved down their throats on this show and theyre both in complicated romantic dynamics with other people that theyre the easier option for#one another but they dont really want to be with one another like it just doesnt feel right#okay okay i legit have to stop and go to bed but just. them. im thinking so hard about them#platonic alecourtney

BLAME || Yandere! TDWT x Fem! Reader
2/2 EPISODE ONE (Walk Like An Egyptian)
This is part two
Tumblr media
Ugh this chapter was so boringggg
You figured a flight from your starting point to Egypt would be a few hours, and in that time you decided to take advantage and get buddy buddy with a few team members. But first you had to get your head straight. You stood up from your seat next to Noah and made your way to the confessionals, not noticing the many eyes watching you.
Noah for one, had noticed you hadn't attempted to talk to anyone yet and were likely strategizing who would be best to talk to. she smells really good..like vanilla?
Courtney had also been watching you, not in the same way Noah had. She was just taking in your looks. She thought you were pretty but didn't want you anywhere near 'her' Duncan. new girl is kinda cute..I guess
And then there was Alejandro. He only took glances at you, as he did everyone. Simply to observe. See if you would be a good pawn. No current thoughts on you...just observing.
Heather was another person watching you. She had screwed up her chances of becoming friends with the people here in season one after becoming a total back stabber and manipulator. Her plan: become your friend and then dispose of you when you no longer had any value. Right now she was looking a little crazy and desperate in her corner of the plane.
CONFESSIONAL- Y/N
"To be honest...I don't really know what to do!!"
You paused and sighed.
"There are so many people here that could be useful but at the same time it's so hard for me to talk to people!"
"I think my best plan would be to..ugh! Is this even recording??" You hit the camera before laughing awkwardly after realizing it was in fact..recording. "Oops..embarrassing! Anyways! My best plan would be to find someone to be friends with, literally anyone. That way I have someone on my side always. And then find someone like Heather or Alejandro to use for their skills." You shrugged and stood up. "They won't know what hit em'..yeah"
CONFESSIONAL- Y/N; ENDED
You made your way back, this time noticing the people watching you, one of them being Noah. Perfect! He can be my friend. Also he has some sort of..comedic relief thing going for him so that's a plus.
"Hey! You're Noah right?" You asked, sitting next to him again. "No im just some random intern- yes im Noah!" He said looking annoyed and closing his book. "Okay chill it Empire State Building for a forehead, I just wanted to make a friend." He raised a brow...not like he wasn't half the time, "sorry pinkie pie, I'm not very fond of making friends with a pony." He took a hit at your very obvious pink aura.
"So what is it? Am I pinkie pie or a mystical elf?" You asked letting out a small giggle. He paused for a second looking in shock before continuing. "Actually, I said magical elf. And both." You hummed in agreement and took a peak at his book, "whatcha reading nerd?" Noah looked at you like you were tweaking. "Do you read?" He asked. You crossed your legs, "sometimes." Noah scoffed, "sometimes isn't good enough for me to tell you." He stood up, leaving you sitting next to Izzy.
CONFESSIONAL- NOAH
"That girl...she's cool I guess. Nothing special." He said looking unimpressed before he bit his lip awkwardly like he was trying to keep himself from saying something.
"SHE GETS MY HUMOR! SHES AMAZING!" He finally broke, yelling that out before pausing and looking scared like he just let his deepest secret out.
Noah started grabbing the camera violently and trying to pull out the tape, "I want the tape back! Give me it!" He let out a girlish scream when a rat crawled out.
CONFESSIONAL- NOAH; ENDED
You had spent the rest of the ride talking to Izzy, trying to figure out if she was smart or just crazy. Noah would sometimes butt into your conversations with yet another snarky remark and insult. Then the ride ended.
"You guys ready for a little fun?" Chris was being carried by two interns and seemed to be enjoying Egypt. "Wow! Its a scorcher out here huh? I call todays challenge Pyramid Over Under!" Leshawna looked fed up.
"An eleven hour flight, chefs in flight cuisine, and a forced musical number, now we've got a challenge?" Chris began getting fanned by an intern as Leshawna looked more and more pissed. "Don't cha love this game?" He said, raising the drink he was holding.
Harold was sweating more than anyone else. "Its like being cooked in a giant oven!" He acted like he didn't have aluminum foil on his head. Leshawna sighed, "it might help if you weren't dressed like a giant baked potato." Harold continued sweating, "aluminum foil means the aliens can't reach your brains, it's a real problem in this area!" You rolled your eyes, "pack it up Ron Weasley." This earned a chuckle from a few contestants like Gwen, Duncan, Noah, Heather, Courtney, and even Alejandro. DJ let out a small chuckle too before Leshawna glared at him.
Leshawna looked over at you, "excuse you?" You paused remembering that Leshawna and Harold had some weird relationship going on, and insulting one was insulting both. "Sorry girl, I like your earrings by the way." Leshawna got flash backs to Heather fake complimenting her in season one before she realized you had nothing bad going for you yet so what's the point in immediately thinking you're like Heather.
"It's all good..thanks." She smiled at you before turning back to Harold.
BANG
Chris hit two cymbals together and called the noise satisfying. "Alright! Pyramid Over Under means YOU choose how you'll get to the finish line either over or under the pyramid! Got it? Ready! Set!" Someone cut off Chris again. You already could tell by the voice it was Ezekiel. How the hell did he get here? Wasn't he eliminated!
Ezekiel approached Chris, "wait up guys! Wait up! I told you I wasn't gonna lose this time ay!" You rolled your eyes again, it was becoming a real bad habit to roll your eyes. "Didn't we leave you in like Halifax or white horse or WHATEVER!" Chris was annoyed and a bit confused. Ezekiel smiled, "it's called landing gear homie! I climbed it and hid with the cargo." Chris began smiling again deviously. 😈
"Impressive! Butttt you're still out." Ezekiel continued digging his grave, "no way! I'm in it to win it! Word!" Chris gave up on getting rid of him, "oookay it's your funeral. Set! Go!" He slammed the cymbals in Ezekiel's face which made you giggle, everyone began running towards the pyramid. You paused and turned around, "nice one Chris." Before continuing.
"Care to accompany me Señorita? We can go up together." Alejandro winked at you, gesturing towards the top of the pyramid. Your first thought was to make some mean insult but you remembered that it would be better to get on his good side, "oh..um. I'm okay! It's a bit too hot for me to go over, I'll see you around though!" You smiled at him before running inside the pyramid, your smile immediately dropping once you were out of his sight.
I don't fuck with playboys.
You were next to Leshawna now as you all decided which way to go. There were multiple paths. Heather looked like she was up to something.
"Hey Sierra! Which way do you think we should go?" Sierra looked happy to have someone asking her opinion, "me? Um! Ehhh..um!" You crossed your arms. "We should all split up, I'm going to take the first door." You said walking towards it, you stopped however realizing this was your chance to get on good terms with Heather and Sierra, "care to join me?" They went with you.
It was kind of dark and a bit eerie. "So..Sierra, I know you're on good terms with Cody but how about anyone else?" She smiled and nodded rapidly, "of course I'm on good terms with Cody! He's literally my boyfriend!! But I haven't talked to a lot of other people..." You nodded, a smile creeping up on your face as a plan began forming. Heather noticed.
Sierra was walking in front, Heather behind her, and you in the back. Sierra stepped on a trigger, you realized and immediately pulled Heather down, she grabbed Sierra. "Watch where you step next time," you said lifting them both up. "Oops! Sorry Heather and Y/n!" Heather looked pissed before putting her persona back on, "honest mistake! Could've happened to anybody!"
"Good eye Y/n!" Heather complimented, you smiled. "Couldn't have my friends getting hurt now could I?" You said, hoping this would lead to them becoming close with you. Heather smiled even stronger, you couldn't tell if it was fake or real. Sierra laughed and clapped her hands together. Seems I won't have to put in as much work trying to get Y/n in an alliance with me, Heather thought.
You guys continued walking. Somehow Sierra had caught Cody and was now carrying him, and now you were running in front of Sierra and Heather was running behind Sierra. "Guys, look the exit!" You announced, we all sped up. "I'm so happy we found you, aren't you guys so happy?!" Sierra said referring to Cody. Heather looked annoyed and you honestly didn't care. "Yeah sure whatever," you mumbled. "I'm so happy I could scream," Heather said annoyed.
You all made it past the finish line, you first. "We did it! Group hug! Come on guys!" Sierra said, pushing Cody into her chest. You and Heather rolled your eyes and then looked at each other, you whispered to her. "She's totally obsessed..." Heather nodded in agreement before walking to Sierra, you following behind.
You both fake smiled while hugging, and then Chris cut the hug short. "Thank god," you whispered. Heather heard you and let out a small laugh. "Sierra and Y/n get behind the number two! Heather and Cody you'll be on team three." Harold was about to begin a fact, but you and Chris both said at the same time, "No one cares" which led to Chris once again looking over at you awkwardly.
Why does that keep happening? Chris thought.
"Where's Gwen? Not that I care! Just..curious!" Cody said. You looked up at the pyramid, "she's up there with Gwen and Duncan" you pointed out. They were all arguing. A ding went off as Chris taunted you all, the musical bell. "Recognize that sound? Time for whoever's not finished yet to give us a little musical reprise!" Chris said pointing to all three of them. Duncan looked like he was about to lose it, "you said one song per episode!" Duncan corrected him. Chris smiled, "yeah AND this is a REPRISE not a new song, so if you don't sing you're out! Now let's hear it!" Duncan was done with it, "you know what? No! Nonononono!" Duncan jumped down.
Since all three were tied together, Courtney and Gwen were dragged down. "Three hours of these two squawking on this stupid pyramid in this stupid heat and you want me to sing?! Forget it!" Duncan yelled. Chris raised a brow, "dude you have a contract." Duncan got closer, "eat it McLean, if you need me I'll be in the plane waiting for a ride home cause I'm out!" Duncan pulled out a knife and spun it around before slicing the rope that tied all three of them together.
"Done! I quit!" Duncan walked away and Courtney and Gwen gasped on the floor. Cody took this as an opportunity, "hey looks like we're teammates!" He gave a hand to Gwen.
CONFESSIONAL- CODY
"Girls on the rebound are the best! They cry and then you get to buy them a pop and listen and then..well they still won't go out with you but you get to buy them a pop!"
CONFESSIONAL- CODY; ENDED
Izzy came running out of the pyramid holding a mummy in her hands. You gasped, what the fuck? "Izzy no!" Owen yelled. "Put that mummy down!" You yelled too, putting your hands on your hips. Noah hid behind you, "you're carrying the undead!" All four of you, including Alejandro looked absolutely terrified. "Cool! Bite me and I can be your undead friend like Frankenstein!" Izzy stopped in her tracks and looked at the mummy.
The mummy began growling and moving till it jumped out of her hands. "Thanks for all the help ya knobs!" Ezekiel announced, he was the mummy. "Izzy go join team-" Chris was cut off by Harold, "talata or three." Ezekiel rushed up to Chris, "c'mon guy! After all this you gotta let me back in the game!" Chris hit Ezekiel which made him fall over, you laughed. Chris looked annoyed at Ezekiel.
"Fine but only cause we're down a man thanks to Duncan quit-ie pants. Go ahead and join team one." Ezekiel started celebrating. You were all ready now. "Okay teams talk amongst yourselves and determine a team name, you have three minutes while I enjoy this ice cream cone."
Team one- "Team Victory!"
Team three- "Team Amazon!"
And now you and the rest of team two were trying to figure out a name, everyone talking over each other. Once they were quiet you suggested the name Team Jewel, to which everyone except Sierra had agreed. Alejandro spoke up to Chris, "We decided on the name-" and then Sierra yelled out the name Team Chris is Really Really Really Really hot, interrupting Alejandro. You sighed in disappointment as Chris thought that name was awesome. "And here are your rewards!" Alejandro glared at Sierra but then realized it would earn favoritism.
"Team Amazon you win a camel! Team Chris is really really really really really really hot!" Alejandro interrupted him, "I think there were only FOUR really's." You nodded in agreement. "You win a goat!" Chris threw a goat at Tyler which made him fall over. "And team victory..here ya go!" Chris said while holding a stick. Leshawna looked unimpressed, "so the guys who come in last get a camel and we get a stick?"
Chris reassured them that each team has their own advantages and then began his outro.
"I'm glad to be on a team with you Señorita." Alejandro said to you, kissing your hand.
CONFESSIONAL- Y/N
"This guy honestly thinks he can woo me? Please!  I'd rather kill myself than let myself fall charm to his victim...wait no! Victim to his charm. How did I mess that up?" You sighed, face palming.
"Anyways...our team sucks."
CONFESSIONAL- Y/N; ENDED
"Oh..I wish I could say the same, Corazón." You flirted back but also played hard to get, pulling your hand away. It was hot as fuck and he radiated warmth.
CONFESSIONAL- ALEJANDRO
"It's only a matter of time before they all become puppets to me. However I wasn't expecting Y/n to know any Spanish." He shrugged.
CONFESSIONAL- ALEJANDRO; ENDED

Ok i've figured out an elimination order for my TDWT rewrite au thingy! (if ur curious about the general gist + later elimination plots here's the og post here ya go)
putting this entirely under the cut because it's gonna get LONGGG
This covers episodes 1 to 13!
Sorry Ezekiel stans, he's still the first voted out. the first episode actually turns out in a similar-ish way, outside of the different teams and team amazons having trouble with their camel. Team Victory is still last, and Zeke still gets voted out.
However by episode 3, there's the first major elimination order change: Team Amazons looses the challenge, and Cody gets the boot. This is for two reasons: Leshawna's more of a leader on her team and is able to reel Harold back a little, and the Amazon's commercial ends up loosing because of Cody's addition. The votes end up being a tie between Heather and Cody (Gwen and Sierra voted Heather because of course, Heather and Courtney voted for Cody because he lost the challenge for them.) Sierra is absolutely heartbroken from Cody's elimination, but he's pretty happy to go so early.
Bridgette still gets played by Alejandro in this AU, but he has to be a little subtler about it due to Leshawna's higher suspicion of him. He still manages to get Bridgette stuck to a poll and stoke a bit of fire between Heather and Leshawna. That and Sierra's still depressed in the background so she's not performing as well in challenges.
episode 5's still a reward challenge, not much changes, i'd say same with the first Aftermath?
episode 7, Leshawna still gets eliminated after starting a fight with Heather (which is the point where Heather REALLY starts to hate Alejandro since he's messing with her friendships now). I think Alejandro's way of doing it is provoking one or the other, sorta-flirting with both of them which seriously annoys Heather and frustrates Leshawna (she's trying to figure out if he's actually interested or just playing her. I guess she got her answer.) This also makes Alejandro Harold's enemy, and does raise both Noah and Eva's suspicions of him (Noah's the one that noticed it and he talked about it a bit with Eva, who's more eager to get on the guy's case than Noah is)
episode 8's still a reward challenge, however notably Alejandro's attempted manipulation of Owen doesn't work because Team Escope's a unit and he's 100% fully convinced his friends wouldn't do that on purpose (or maliciously in the case of Izzy). I think this would be a sort of turning point with Alejandro's dynamic with the rest of his team - he fully realises he can't break these idiots appart, from any angle (especially since Ozzy's already split here and Eva + Izzy are pining for eachother). So what does he do? He'll play along. (and accidentally befriend multiple of them but shushhhh)
episode 9 is also further divergence and is where the Team Victory trio gets to shine more - they actually win the whole challenge! much to Alejandro's frustration, since Team Victory was supposed to be the easy team to take out, wasn't it? He's fully friends with Noah at this point, and on his way to befriending Izzy and lowering Eva's suspicions, even just slightly. Meanwhile, Heather's in a bit of a pickle: her team is last and both Gwen and Courtney are getting closer, and really don't like her. Sierra is being no help, as she knows Heather's a real snake and is fully willing to vote her off. However, there's one factor none of the girls have considered yet; sabotage. So Heather makes an alliance/deal with Harold. He'll change the votes, and she'll make sure his team gets some kind of advantage next challenge.
episode 10, this is a more lowkey episode focused mostly on the character's interpersonal drama and Alejandro's current relationship with his team - he's starting to actually consider their individual strengths instead of just trying to do it his way, courtesy of actually talking with Noah about it. Courtney and Gwen still look for the Duncan shaped rock, but Gwen's only doing it to be with Courtney (gay) meanwhile, Heather rams her boat into team Escope's boat and later on tries to get team Victory's boat ahead. Im choosing to explain Heather actually sticking to her deal with Harold as both friendship foreshadowing + her trying to keep a solid ally with her in the game.
episode 11. OK THIS ONE'S IMPORTANT FOR MULTIPLE REASONS: this is Team Escope's first member loss, being Owen getting disqualified due to injury. Alejandro's secretly glad he's gone, but he's trying to keep a sadned mask around the team who's pretty bummed, especially Noah and Izzy. He manages to motivate Izzy for the challenge, but Noah's not on his side; he sees through the mask and knew Alejandro disliked Owen for a reason he hasn't fully figured out yet and calls him out on it in private. That, and the DJ thing. i haven't explained it fully, but DJ still has the animal curse thing - support from Harold, Lindsay and occasionally Heather (she's doing it to win Harold's favor + DJ's the only contestant she's consistently nice with) has been reducing it over time, but Alejandro exacerbates it for him this episode. Noah begins to suspect quite seriously that Alejandro's only pretending to be friends with him, Izzy and to a lesser extent Eva (something that Alejandro would probably agree to be doing with Eva and Izzy, but not Noah. He's 100% actually friends with Izzy and hasn't realised it tho.) Officially, he's still acting friendly with him, but he's really not sure if it'll stick.
episode 13, and of course the turning point! on each team, the members captured are:
-Alejandro from the start -Heather after the stretching thing -Harold after he got distracted and started infodumping -Izzy just. dissapears mid challenge -DJ on the bus.
Eva and Noah still catch the Ripper, and Noah drops his "slippery eel" warning to Eva and Izzy (Izzy's on the stretcher.). Eva considers it and in an impressive act of restraint only promises to do something about it if it's confirmed, while Izzy half agrees half denies it. (she's denying it because she knows Noah thinks he's not friends with him. Izzy can tell it's genuine. Izzy is Izzy and would just be able to tell, she can see through people's masks pretty well, considering she calls out Mal in AS and i regularly HC her to be simply acting crazy for shits and giggles.) Either way, Alejandro does NOT take it well at all. That, and Duncan's back! Team Victory and Escope have the choice to get him but well. Harold's still here. So to team Escope the punk guy goes! And he immediatly tries to kiss Gwen in the confessional! He does end up kissing her, but she recoils quickly. Sadly not quickly enough for Izzy to not end up seeing them.
could you tell i started having fun writing this outline out the farther we got? Hope this was comprehensible!

On friday, I finished Total Drama Island - Total Drama All Stars, so, I want to express my opinion about evey gen 1 character! ((Alejandro, Sierra, and Blainely will be included!))
also includes spoilers and mentions of both nudity and threats
— 🏝️ —
Beth - Honestly, I didn’t care about her much on Island and Action, but I do respect her for standing up to Heather and calling Courtney out. Someone had to at the time and I’m happy that it was her
Bridgette - God..what CAN I say abt her?? Her obvious worst season was World Tour, she was one of my least favorites in that season, but apart from that, she was a pretty decent character in both island and action
Cody - I forgot he existed for the 3 seasons he’s in until the final 3 tbh- He was so forgettable to me, but I feel bad for him in world tour
Courtney - 3 words; I hated her. She’s my least favorite character. I did try to give her the benefit of the doubt by trying to find her "iconic" moments, however, it was just her being a bitch and threatening people not once, but TWICE to split the million or die. The absolute ONLY time where she seemed like a good person was island, and she was part of the problem in that HORRIBLE love triangle story, I just don’t see the appeal of her
DJ - Bro was a soft giant- he didn’t deserve any of the treatment he got, I at least wanted him to be eliminated fairly, but nah, in all the seasons he was featured in, he was eliminated so unfairly like cmon..
Duncan -Apart Duncan being a big ‘bad boy’ , he didn’t strike me that way- he’s more like an 2018 gacha bad boy that tries so hard to be cool, especially at all stars, it was cringe-
Katie & Sadie - I forgot they both existed since they technically only competed in one season, but I do think they could’ve been minor antagonists since they’re best friends and could’ve been manipulative together
Geoff - Easily one of my favorite boy characters in the entire show, he was a chill guy ((although very chaotic)) and was honestly robbed in island, I was rooting for him
Gwen - If there was overrated put into one character, it’s Gwen, she is decent, yea, but Island was her best season, and only that- Although, she was a close favorite to me in All Stars, she was caring, but did not have to be in that damn love triangle.
Justin - He was OK. Not good, but not that bad either, he had some funny lines but I do wish he used way more than his looks
LeShawna - I do understand why she has the love and fame that she does, she isn’t afraid to talk shit and throw hands while being compassionate and competitive, it was a really nice mix of personalities for her, even tho I don’t understand her sudden turn on Heather when it seemed like they were gonna be friends in action
Noah - I HATE how this man actually got some development in World Tour when he could’ve had more if he’d just play dodgeball in island.. it’s still so annoying to me. But, his humor was fucking great and i’ll forever make fun of him for his gay ass running LMFAO
Owen - I never really understood his humor, and I don’t think that he should’ve won island, it didn’t fit him in the long run, no matter how kind he was..plus the nudity on NATIONAL TELEVISION was disgusting, he didn’t made me laugh in the slightest
Eva - I wish she stayed longer in the merge, she seemed like a hard worker and she was growing on me a bit-
Harold - Half of the time, I didn’t know what he was saying, he was super confusing but he did have good tastes in crushes, even tho he did get turned down
Heather - I know I’m going to sound like a hypocrite with how my opinion was with Courtney, but Heather is my favorite character in the seasons she competed in, and at least she’s mean and doesn’t manage to make it annoying to listen to, I love how she didn’t play and automatically started making alliances and talked strategy. Her win was definitely the most deserved one out of the show, and probably the most well written out of the cast
Trent - His derailment was so sad to watch like..He obviously cared for Gwen, and was probably the most sane person in Island- ..I think that’s all I can say abt him
Lindsay - She was iconically stupid and smart, I loved her a lot, and she definitely deserved to win action, very robbed there
Tyler - I felt super bad for him, his fear being used after bring eliminated, to Lindsay forgetting about him after action..I’m just glad that he’s finally remembered by Lindsay ((and hopefully dating))
Ezekiel - I see why people don’t like him..That’s it.
Izzy ((I forgot to add her)) - The IT girl of the show along with Heather, I loved her, and even tho she always lost, she never failed to be entertaining on screen, 100% my favorite crazy girl
Alejandro - Definitely the right love interest for Heather, he’s manipulative, simpable, and caused many eliminations. He played the game, and I like him because of that
Sierra - Apart from Courtney, she is also my least favorite character. Why? She’s stalkerish, knows NO personal space apart from Cody going to the bathroom, and is just overall a bad character- It seemed like the only thing she was good for was carrying Cody throughout the entire season..
Blainely: We’ve met this girl for like 3 episodes so I can’t provide much on her, however, she had the most iconic elimination ever..and you’ve really gotta be hated if you have a whole ass song dissing you by the chillest guy ever-

Selfishness, Selflessness and Reciprocity
Or: An essay on why I think that Coderra has more potential as a relationship than people give it credit for.
As a foreword, I would like to say that this applies equally to romantic and platonic Coderra. Many of the building blocks for a romance are the same as those for a lifelong friendship. All I want, at the end of the day, is for Sierra to be happy.
Now you could alternatively call this essay “Cody’s tendencies in relationships and how that changes in Planes Trains and Hot Airmobiles” because the first item of focus here is his relationship with Gwen, and how and why it fundamentally doesn’t work. While Gwody is generally not well-liked as a relationship due to his creepy, entitled and stereotypical “nice guy” behavior, those aren’t the reasons why it doesn’t work. They’re effluences of the real core problem with his Cody’s behavior and that mentality, and I’m going to call it out right out of the gate: Cody is selfish.
For him, it’s never about what Gwen wants or who Gwen is as a person that matters. She is an object to be attained, an ideal girlfriend that will make him cool by being with him. His first notable interaction with her is making a pass at her during the talent show- he more or less thinks he can “get” her with a bit of flirting, without putting in the legwork of actually getting to know her. Compare this with Trent’s first major interaction with Gwen in The Big Sleep as a counterpoint. Watching this scene, what strikes me the most about how Trent conducts himself here is that there is no flirtatious undertones to his approach, no overt, eye-wagging, shit-eating-grin “hey babe, you’re so cool and I’m totally into that”. No, he just talks to her. Talks to her about whatever she wants to talk about, lets the conversation naturally go where it goes, and it gets her to open up, if only just a little. Cody, on the other hand, never does this with Gwen, he never understands this, and every interaction he has with her until Up the Creek, and then resuming in World Tour, is about trying to obtain her as an item.
In World Tour, his selfishness and desire to have Gwen reach new levels and really show how little he actually cares about her as a person. During the episode in Australia, Gwen acts hurt because Duncan is acting jealous of Alejandro “hooking up” with Courtney. Cody’s first instinct is to offer her his vote, but with the implicit subtext this game alliance is a means for him to hook up with her. Gwen is not actually hurt here, she’s playing him for a vote, but he doesn’t know that, he thinks Duncan has actually hurt her. She says to him “ Can you make the pain go away?” and he nods and tells her he’s there for her and that he’ll make everything better.
This is Cody at his absolute lowest. Here he is seeing someone he thinks is heartbroken and vulnerable and all his first reaction is to manipulate it to get into a relationship with her.
Now this may all sound very anti-Cody, and I certainly don’t apologize for or condone this behavior. But I also now move on to my next point, which is that it is a learned behavior which makes sense in the context of his upbringing, and that he has the capacity to change this behavior.
A bad childhood does not excuse bad behaviors as an adult, or even a young adult like Cody, but it does provide a level of understanding how and why he does the things he does. There is a substantial body of canonical evidence that Cody is a neglected child, manifested most famously and notably in the show by the revelation that his parents (nor anyone else for that matter) never once remembered his birthday in Awwwww Drumheller. Interestingly it seems the Dramarama spinoff has taken this idea up as well, with Cody having said “It feels like a mother’s warmth, or least, so I’ve been told” which in context seems meant to indicate that Cody is unfamiliar with motherly affection. But what he lacks in parental attention is made up for in material wealth- his TDI bio speaks of a plethora of the latest tech and gadgets paid for on his parents dime. This is where the root of his selfishness in dealing with Gwen comes from- having never received love in his life, only things, he can only conceive of a relationship as a thing to be had, not love to be shared between people. Because the latter concept is utterly alien to him. But it’s alien to him because this mentality is learned, taught by years of neglect and being spoiled. And what can be learned, can be unlearned.
Enter Planes, Trains and Hot Air Mobiles. It is all good and well to argue that Cody is the way he is because he is a victim of parental apathy and absence, but unless this amounts to meaningful change in his behavior, it is meaningless. Here we see that Cody in fact has the capacity to change and to be better than he was, and it’s in his relationship with Sierra that we first see this.
The Total Drama Jumbo jet has been demolished to smithereens, and at the epicenter of the destruction was Sierra. The episode begins with her eliminated, incapable of walking, buried under rubble and with most of those still present utterly uninterested in her plight. Cody, Alejandro and Heather are tasked with racing to Hawaii by whatever means they can find, but Sierra is left with no provisions for her return home. Let’s be clear here- Cody is supposed to get to Hawaii, not Sierra.
At this point in the game he’s only barely started warming up to her the last episode, and otherwise has rebutted her at every turn since the game began. She cannot move on her own, no matter what means he uses to travel she’s dead weight. With his chosen method of travel, the balloon, Cody can get farther and go faster if he goes alone. He has every logical reason in the world to be selfish here, from a competition standpoint.
And yet he doesn’t. He takes her with him, an act that I would argue is his first truly selfless act in any of his canon relationships with anyone. He gains nothing by bringing her along, or at least, nothing that is immediately apparent when they set off. He risks his victory in the competition to ensure she has someone to take care of and look after her. He prioritizes her needs and the urgency of her situation over his wants, and even his personal feelings for her at this moment- despite everything she has done to him that has made him feel violated and uncomfortable, by taking her with him he has forgiven her, and without words said that her life and wellbeing are worth more to him than his own feelings about their past. This does not absolve Sierra of responsibility for these acts, but Cody’s forgiveness is an important step in giving her the opportunity to atone for them. It is a profoundly mature moment for Cody, the most mature he has ever been in the entire series since Up the Creek.
Later on in the episode, something incredible happens. Something called reciprocity- an exchange of mutual benefit to all parties involved. And it’s when their hot air balloon has crashed and they are stranded in the middle of nowhere somewhere in North America, with no apparent means to continue the race. Along with a box of fireworks, Sierra motivates Cody with a rousing speech, and importantly tells him that “You want a number one fan? That comes with responsibilities!”
This is a first for Sierra, in that she is demanding something out of Cody’s side of the relationship. For all the time she has been on the show with him, she has taken care of him with no regard for getting anything out of it in return. She has saved his life at risk to herself numerous times, and while she exacted a toll in physical affection she had never previously called upon Cody to do anything for her, personally. Here that changes.
She demands that he continue the race not for his sake, but for hers, and for all the fans she represents. This transforms the act of continuing the race from a selfish one for Cody, into a selfless one, as he is no longer doing it out of self-interest, but to fulfill his obligation to his relationship with Sierra. And for the second time in the episode, Cody shows the ability to be selfless and consider the needs and wants of others. He is not a fundamentally self-centered person at heart, and his bad habits can be unlearned in the right circumstance with the right people.
It is this relationship that carries a feeble weakling and a crippled girl to the finale against all odds. It brings out the best in both of them and takes two people who on their own would have zero chance for success, and allows them to lift each other up and help each other move forward. This is the potential of Coderra, as a romance or a lifelong friendship. It’s only two, maybe three episodes where we see a glimpse of it, but I think that together they can be a little less broken and start to defeat their worst demons.

Wait here’s my TMA/TD fear-assignment master post (gen 1-3 only sorry I couldn’t think of any strong ones for gen 4):
Gen 1:
Gwen: Buried (her fear of being buried alive, yes, but also I think it’d be fun bc you know she looks like a corpse)
Courtney: Eye (I love archivist Courtney. Also the fact she needs knowledge and access to knowledge through things like the cheating incident and her PDA, but it destroys her...mwah, Jon shit)
Duncan: Desolation (he destroys everything he touches for his own satisfaction. His relationships, private property, exc.)
Cody: Lonely (no matter how many people he talks to or matches together he’s always single and alone, and his social awkwardness wards people off)
Owen: Vast, maybe Web (his fear of flying and also being voted out quickly and his vying for attention are Vast 100% but also the fact Chris used him as a spy in TDA speaks to web)
Noah: Web (his unwillingness to be manipulated by Alejandro or forced to participate by other players is very webby)
Heather: Web or Hunt (she’s manipulative and almost always gets what she wants, but also her preying on others and being adamant about her goals is Hunt shit so idk)
Lindsay: Flesh (her fear of being not beautiful? Flesh 100%)
Beth: Lonely (she’s always trying to be nice or be like others but never gets the attention she wants from it)
Trent: Stranger (his fear of mines, the way everyone finds his number nine compulsion so uncanny, the way he’s put off when Gwen starts acting different in TDA? Yea that’s the stranger. I could definitely see a statement where he talks about always seeing mimes mimicking him and he begins to mimic others and can’t stop)
Katie and Sadie: Stranger (the parallels with Breekon and Hope kill me. They act and look so uncannily alike. Could be interesting if one of them started mimicking the other too and the other is disturbed)
Izzy: Spiral (shes fucking wild)
Eva: Slaughter (full of rage)
Bridgette: Hunt (her fear of being in the woods and her connection with animals is all Huntcore)
Geoff: Web or Lonely (seeing as he’s such a party dude, I could see him being terrified of what it’s like to not be surrounded with people, but also the way he becomes more manipulative in TDA is kinda web-ish)
Leshawna: I honestly dunno. I wanna say Slaughter because of her attitude towards Heather, but also her realist view reminds me of a Spiral victim like Helen, and her actions in TDA are reminiscent of a Web avatar. I’m gonna say Slaughter is the strongest.
Harold: Dark (fear of being sneaked up on by ninjas first off, but also considering how much he knows about everything, I think being in the dark would terrify him)
DJ: Hunt (his animal curse in WT but it manifests to be like way worse)
Ezekiel: Corruption or Hunt (him going feral and becoming a monster is classic corruption but his determination to win through any means necessary is very Hunt)
Tyler: Lonely (his need to impress everyone with his sports stunts and his constant attempts to get Lindsay to remember him? Yea lonely)
Justin: Flesh (his fear of being ugly and the importance he puts in his looks are classic Flesh behavior)
Alejandro: Flesh (he’s manipulative like a Web avatar, but also a lot of his charm comes from his looks, and his fear of putting gross food in his body is very Fleshy)
Sierra: Eye (she knows everything about everyone dude)
Gen 2:
Zoey: Lonely (she grew up ostracized in a small town and has a hard time making the friends she longs for, she’s definitely tied to the Lonely)
Cameron: Eye (once again, knows everything, and wants to experience everything. I could see him as Courtney’s runner-up or assistant, and marked by the buried because I can imagine his bubble would make him scared of being trapped again)
Mike: Web (he’s afraid of doing bad things against his will)
Mal: Slaughter (he just wants to fuck shit up and hurt people)
Vito: Flesh (also puts a lot of importance in his looks)
Manitoba: Hunt (explorer man)
Svetlana: Flesh (since she puts so much time and love into gymnastics, I think an incident involving injury would freak her tf out)
Chester: End (he’s old and wants to make the most of that)
Brick: Dark (he’s afraid of being lost without direction, as well as the literal dark)
Jo: Hunt (shes focused on winning almost exclusively)
Dawn: Extinction (she’s afraid of the earth and creatures on it withering away)
Anne Maria: Lonely (she puts so much emphasis on being seen and loved and gets volatile when people challenge that)
Scott: Web (he’s a master of scheming, what more should I say)
B: Eye (he’s afraid of others knowing about him and can’t give things up easily, but will use his knowledge to help when needed)
Staci: Stranger (she makes up so many lies for no gain besides attention and upsetting people. She’s like a car wreck you can’t look away from)
Dakota: Corruption (marked by the lonely because she needs attention to function, but I think her becoming dakotazoid and the terror she had getting there points to corruption. Also allegory of Hollywood destroying her blah blah blah)
Sam: Desolation (his self worth is put into material objects like video games and the destruction of them is shown to ruin him)
Lightning: Hunt (I know his body image leans into Flesh but his determination to win and arrogance are like that of a natural predator)
Gen 3:
Shawn: Extinction (I think he’s marked by corruption too because of his fear of zombies corrupting him, but the mass tragedy angle and doomsday prepping is very extinction-like)
Jasmine: Buried (claustrophobia, yea, but also her fear of being trapped by her feelings for Shawn point to buried. This ones kinda loose though, I could see her connected to the web or hunt too)
Sky: Flesh (similar to Svetlana, I think an injury as a gymnast would destroy her, also a big part of flesh is pride, and losing her pride and winning streak freaks Sky out)
Dave: Corruption (his germaphobia as well as his insistence on being with or ‘infecting’ Sky...yea that’s the corruption)
Scarlett: Eye (she knows a lot and uses it to watch and manipulate others)
Max: Web (he’s very methodical, if not smart, in his scheming, and him being outwitted by Scarlett freaked him tf out)
Ella: Lonely (I mainly say this for her fear of being hated by Sugar. I could also see Buried bc shes upset about Chris trapping her by revoking her ability to sing)
Leonard: Spiral (could also lean into Stranger, but his ability to convince so many people to believe in something that doesn’t exist purely with his own belief in magic is very Spirally, plus his frustration with Dave is much like Micheal’s with Jon when he could see through his bullshit, and him losing his ability to cast physical magic is very much like a Spiral victim’s descent back into humanity)
Beardo: Dark (put simply, we don’t know much about him, and he disguises any recognizable trait with sounds. Could also be Stranger)
Sugar: Hunt (fear of losing, exc. also the way she preys on others weaknesses for her own game, pun intended? Yea)
Sammy (I will not call her Samey in this house): Lonely (Amy traps her in a world where no one will talk to her or validate her ideas, it’s pretty sad. Could also see her touched by the Eye during her time impersonating Amy)
Amy: Web (she’s great at manipulating others into liking her)
Topher: Stranger (him trying to replace Chris and disillusion others to it is a pretty not-them move)
Rodney: Lonely (the fact that he’s constantly misunderstood and can’t connect with others because of it. Sad)
Feel free to add your own input! I’m not 100% sure on quite a few of these and some of the traits of the fears overlap (Stranger and Web, Hunt and Slaughter, exc.) so uh beans

As about the "give me a character thing", Heather and Sierra
Nice choices - okay so Heather
How I feel about this character: Oh my god! I despised Heather the second I got a good taste of her vibe on that dock because she reminded me so much of the reigning “Mean Girls” at my high school, but I also found her fascinating by just how far she’s willing to go with making sure she’s in the good no matter who she has to stomp on. There’s a lot of truth in having an entertaining villain, and Heather certainly didn’t make things boring - no matter how manipulative and underhanded those actions were. Oh and those moments where Karma would come back to bite her in the ass on Island were ridiculously satisfying~✨
All the people I ship romantically with this character: 100% Alejandro - its the love/hate shared respect with a dash of rivalry passion that they have. Neither is honestly a “good person”, but you can clearly see that they honestly care for each other. They keep each other on their toes - its very Mr. & Mrs. Smith.
My non-romantic OTP for this character: Courtney or Leshawna or both. Our proud former CIT can easily go toe-to-toe with someone as meticulous as the Queen Bee and let’s not forget that she can be just as merciless when it comes to bending other’s to her will. I don’t think I would say they would ever be best friends or friend like go do our nails and just hang out, but friends in the sense of getting drinks or coffee and having those serious talks about stuff like gossip and venting and they know they can turn to the other when they need a cut and dry no punches held back reality check.   Oh these two sure as all hell are not “besties”, but if the show hadn’t scrapped what little progress she and Heather were starting to make at possibly learning to tolerant each other better like they were on Action then I like to think they’d be able to be more civil and dish dirt. Still plenty of fights though, but that’s not uncommon between girls with a whole lot of pride and two very distinct ways of viewing the world.
My unpopular opinion about this character: When fans think Heather is some sort of Master Strategist from the get-go and planned every single move she made on Island... Guys, she’s cunning, manipulative, and the only morals she follows are the ones that solely benefit her. She’s got the looks, brains, and talent to already be given anything she desires on a silver platter just for those traits alone, but Heather has an ego the size of the continent that she so fantasizes of ruling over and an appetite for POWER. Last I checked... That’s pretty typical Popular Alpha Bitch 101 right there. Besides, if she were that level of Strategist then she would have planned way ahead for a number of possibilities like Beth standing up to her or Gwen getting payback for the whole PUBLIC DIARY READING!
One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: I wish we got to see a bit more of Heather’s vulnerability like during the special in between Island and Action. It really just helps as a reminder that despite everything, she still is a teenager and a human. She may not be the best type of person, but she could be a victim of her own reputation that she’s built as the Queen Bee/Mean Girl and I think that’s something that unfortunately happens to a lot of people where they have to keep..”acting” a certain role. Its essentially pigeonholing yourself.
And now Sierra
How I feel about this character: Not going to lie, but I had mixed feelings about Sierra when we first got introduced to her. A big part of it is because I actually can’t stand people who are so obsessed with anything, and no - I don’t mean “obsessed” in the cutesy sugar-watered way about someone just being so into something that they have this passion for it and all the intricate parts... No, I mean the “obsessed” way as in OBSESSED as in the clear definition where people feel uncomfortable or get tired real quick of being around said individual. I’ve dealt with that before in High School and its where I quickly learned to not share right away the shows or movies I’m into that fall under the category of Animated. ITS! NOT! FUN!!! That and while I admit I did get some amusement at seeing Cody get a taste of his own medicine - you’re a damn liar if you say he wasn’t hella CREEPER in WT with Gwen, she was no angel during that season, but have SOME dignity, Cody 🙄 aim a little higher than scoring for a rebound, dude - Sierra’s..enthusiasm.. was just..whoa. I feel like she knocked Izzy off the Crazy pedestal in that season big time.
All the people I ship romantically with this character: Yeah no... no... just no... At least not until the girl gets the proper help she needs first from professionals and does some reflecting and remembers AGAIN that these are PEOPLE, not just cardboard cutouts and posters that you can leer and confess all sorts of worrying and disturbing fantasies to. And even after that, I still wouldn’t ship her with anyone from the show... Maybe some nice S/O that’ll make her feel special and give her the attention and affection she’s been denied for so long.
My non-romantic OTP for this character: I don’t ship them romantically, but I do think the idea of Sierra actually having a friendship with Cody is real cute. That’s why I get salty over what was done on All-Stars to her and even her having that nasty accident on WT right when she’s finally getting it, that Cody is a actual person that has feelings and worries just like she does.
My unpopular opinion about this character: I honestly can’t think of any... Well aside from some hc about Chris possibly being her biological Dad - like wtf? From everything that's mentioned and hinted in canon and her official contestant bio, her life is sad enough so why make it sadder?
One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: That she never relapsed the way she did on All-Stars and she’d gotten a chance to really prove herself by her own skills. Sort of a way to prove that she’s a lot more than  just a Super Fan, you know?

Deather was hinted at and robbed
Okay let me start off by saying I shipped deather since episode one. I thought their dynamic in the first episode was really telling so I just always waited for it and inspected every scene. But, please if you disagree just keep it quiet and hit me up in my DMs. No need to be rude
So, if you inspect TDI and TDA.. you would find SEVERAL scenes that show heather and Duncan flirting while he was dating/with Courtney. He flirts with her so much while Courtney is away that it’s even on the wiki trivia of Duncan and Heathers interactions. During times with Gwen, Duncan would think about Courtney or mention her. But he never said anything about her to Heather when they were flirting. Which leads me and my detectives to believe that around Heather he didn’t think about Courtney at all - meaning he was very much wrapped up in her.
After Courtney gets eliminated, Duncan moves to Heather for an alliance. Heather gets hesitant and doesn’t really trust him. But she goes on to say he is “sketchy, manipulative, and completely unprediactble” before stating that she likes “the way he thinks.” This description also matches up with Alejandro, which can maybe lead into the idea that these qualities are something she likes in a partner; making the fact that Duncan is, in part, ‘her type.’ But it’s the things that made Duncan ‘Heather’s type’ the exact stuff Courtney wanted to change about him in TDA; meaning Heather really appreciates Duncan for who he is. Furthermore, Duncan likes stubborn and strong willed women. Which is shown on the show by him dating both Courtney and Gwen. But you know who is also a strong willed and stubborn woman? Heather. Which also proves she is in fact - his type as well.
Also, Duncan is one of the few people to not be scared of heather and call her bluffs. This can be seen when she is threatening him while he cleans the bathrooms for her in Island. Duncan knows she is just talking shit and rolls his eyes before continuing his job. He also calls Heather out during Lindsays elimination confrontation. Yet he still shows genuine interest in her despite her hard personality.
It’s not until Gwen and Alejandro come on do the interactions of the two cease, but that’s what makes things just a crack ship

Sierra
Many people are frustrated with Sierra’s character. With all the knowledge she has about the show and the contestants, to many she is waster potential.
But what if her strategy was precisely that, not to act on her knowledge at all?
Overall, Sierra is not an “active” player. She simply observes, and adapts to the situation based on what she knows. That was her thing the whole season.
A fangirl, it’s hard to believe she would have gone into the game without a strategy, a plan to follow. This is what I think her plan was:
1. Be on the same team as Cody
I found it odd how Sierra doesn't go into a meltdown when she is placed on Team Chris is Really Really Really Really Hot. One would think she would react similar to Katie and Sadie when they were separated in TDI, but no. Sierra seems to be okay with not being on the same team as Cody.
During the episode, she is seen talking to Izzy. Per the wiki, the two knew eachother before the Celebrity Manhunt Special, and Izzy would feed her info about the cast for money. They seem to be friends.
Izzy is very easygoing. Sierra would know this, both because she's friends with her and because she's a fangirl. She begins to chat Izzy up and eventually brings up the idea of switching teams, making it seem like an in-the-moment occurrence -- when in fact she had been thinking about it since the teams were formed. As she expected, Izzy agrees. Now all that she needs is for Chris to allow it, which he does after she compliments him.
Sierra plays the game, but it’s incredibly subtle.
2. Keep a low profile, aka "the Owen phase"
Why "Owen phase"? If you think about it, Sierra and Owen have similar places in their team's dynamics. They both are deemed as dumb and used as pawns by their teammates.
Owen is cheerful and friendly. Not the brightest, but does his best to help his team win. Naive, easy to fool. When he made a deal with Chris in TDA, nobody ever suspected him. They didn't think he had the heart, or the smarts, to be cunning like that.
Sierra is aiming to be seen in a similar light, and similar to Izzy too- Izzy is so weird nobody really questions her, and think she's too deranged to be a threat.
Early on she shows she has a wide set of skills that grant Team Amazon the win several times. This makes the trio (Heather, Courtney and Gwen) willing to overlook her weirdness and her harrasment of Cody. For example, in Paris, where she spends the entire episode crying instead of helping. The trio doesn't get mad at her, they get mad at Cody and pressure him to fix it. They're willing to let it slide because she's such a good teammate the rest of the time.
This way, Sierra manages to keep herself and Cody safe. The target is always on the trio's back- first Heather, then Gwen, then Courtney. But to eliminate anybody, you need votes. Pawns. Another reason the trio needs her around.
After the merge, things would get a bit harder. She would have to begin playing more actively. I think Sierra had a vague idea of her plan and to leave it like that, since the game is so unpredictable. It was better to make it up as she went.
After the merge she would keep doing the same thing as she had before, kind of: keep a low profile. Let the big players take eachother out. Of course, someone would target her at some point, but 1) she knows everything about everyone, so she could find a way to end up on top, and 2) there's always alliances. She couldn't predict who would get to the merge, but she would make sure Cody did, so he's a given.
3. Let Cody win
Not much to say here. She's been figuratively and literally carrying him all season. She wants them to be the final two so that she can make sure he wins. In her mind, she lets him win, he confesses his love for her and they split the money.
But like any strategy, Sierra's plan has flaws. More like one flaw. Cody. He's her blind spot. She can't see how repulsed he is by her, and often blames his failures on other people. And people see it. Alejandro uses it to pit her against Heather. She loves Cody so much the entire goal of her plan is to have him win the million, not her. She loves Cody so much, she bakes a cake for his birthday, which ends up blowing up the plane, leaving her severly injured and out of the game.
Observations
1. Sierra often uses internet slang when talking, which indicates she spends so much time on the internet she's somewhat out of touch with reality, and sometimes reads too much into things. In part, it makes her lose Chris' favoritism, because she just can't shut up about him (although this is Alejandro's fault as well). That and all the blogs she has dedicated to things like Cody's toothbrushes (seriously, wtf)-- but the biggest example for me is the fact that she ships Gwuncan.
At first glance, it's natural she ships them. The first thing the Internet does when they see two people that have things in common is to ship them. Also, if Gwen is dating someone, that means Sierra has Cody all to herself. But Sierra states that "Gwen and Duncan have had feelings for eachother since season one".
Duncan and Gwen never showed signs of being attracted to one another in Total Drama Island. They were friendly since the beginning, but Gwen was crushing on Trent from day one, and Duncan developed feelings for Courtney as the show went on. At the time of Total Drama Island, Gwuncan was nothing more than a crackship.
Sierra saying that they had feelings for eachother sounds like a crackshipper who is desperate for their ship to be canon. The typical "OMG, they're standing next to eachother! They're in love!"
2. Sierra's choice to support Courtney with the whole love triangle drama might have been more calculated than people think. 3. Alejandro has a huge advantage as a newcomer. Sierra might know everything about everyone else, but not him. Sierra knows Heather is manipulative because she's seen it before, but Alejandro has never been on the show. She has to learn about his personality first hand.

Total Drama Hogwarts Houses
So I’ve been wondering about the Hogwarts houses of the td characters if they did go to Hogwarts. I couldn't really make up my mind for some of them though. I did include all the characters from TDI and TDWT but I kinda just guessed with characters like Ezekiel, Katie, and Sadie. This is going to be a long post so I’ll throw it under a cut. (It doesn’t always work for me though)
Ezekiel: Ravenclaw- Reason: Ok so I mainly based this one off of his contestant bio and that says that he won a spelling bee and speaks 8 different languages so...
Eva: Gryffindor- Reason: Another one that I had trouble with. I just put her here because her contestant bio says that she is a good leader. I honestly really didn't know with this one.
Noah: Ravenclaw- Reason: He has an IQ of 180 and he's super snarky and witty
Justin: Slytherin- Reason: For the first half of TDA he was very witty and cunning. He was also one of the two TDA antagonists.
Katie and Sadie: Hufflepuff- Reason: I don't know they just didn't really seem to fit into any other houses to me
Tyler: Hufflepuff- Reason: Throughout the series he was always hoping that Lindsay would remember him and he was so loyal to her after her elimination. If that’s not a true Hufflepuff I don't know what is.
Izzy: Gryffindor or Ravenclaw- Reason: She was super crazy on the show (in a way she sort of reminded me of Luna Lovegood) but she was also pretty brave.
Cody: Hufflepuff- Reason: He literally says this in Haute Camp-ture “Gwen’s my dream girl, I’m just not her dream guy. But as long as she's happy, I’m happy.” He also went out of his way in TDWT not to hurt Sierra’s feelings.
Beth: Gryffindor- Reason: Ok so I put her here because she could be brave at times like when she stood up to Heather.
Courtney: Slytherin- Reason: Ok this should be no shocker that she's in Slytherin. Come on she was the season 2 antagonist and super cunning.
Harold: Ravenclaw- Reason: He’s very smart and your stereotypical nerd
Trent: Hufflepuff or Gryffindor- Reason: He’s a pretty likable guy who tries to do what’s right. His contestant bio does say he has a high IQ and smart Gryffindors are pretty common. I did have quite a bit of trouble deciding this one though
Bridgette: Hufflepuff or Gryffindor- Reason: She was one of the kindest contestants on the show and she didn't believe in hurting a single this. She also didn't let people steamroll over her either.
Lindsay: Gryffindor- Reason I put her here because her standing up to Heather is one of my favorite moments on the show. She also was very kind and could show a surprising amount of intelligence. Even though those are other house qualities, there are Gryffindors who have those qualities too.
DJ: Hufflepuff- Reason: I don’t even need to explain this one
Geoff: Gryffindor- Reason: He was pretty chill and lax on the show and he loved to party! He also does some pretty brave things in TDRR but I'm not going to rewatch that now.
Leshawna: Gryffindor- Reason: She always stood up for people and never let anyone’s opinions get in her way. She's also very likable (Courtney couldn't even say anything bad about her)
Duncan: Hufflepuff or Gryffindor- Reason: Ok I’ve seen this one post that says that Duncan thinks he's a Slytherin but he really gets into Hufflepuff which is awesome because that would probably be true lol. But then again he did wrestle an alligator.
Heather: SLYTHERIN- Reason: She was (in my opinion) the best villain on the show. She's cunning and underhanded and would be Slytherin without a doubt.
Gwen: Ravenclaw or Hufflepuff- Reason: She definitely had her sweet moments like when she saved Courtney from being attacked by an evil deer ( It’s from TDAS, weird episode) but she could be pretty mean like when she kissed Courtney’s boyfriend even though she knew how she felt when Heather kissed Trent. But she didn't seem that cunning and sneaky to me. She also had her fair share of snarky comments.
Owen: Gryffindor or maybe Hufflepuff- Reason he was very, very sweet on the show and did some pretty brave things (mainly without thinking)
Alejandro: Slytherin- Reason:One of the most cunning and sneaky characters on the show, he's sort of like a Justin 2.0. He's my 2nd favorite TD villain (Heather’s my favorite in case anyone cares)
Sierra: Ravenclaw- Reason: She knew pretty much everything about everyone and she was pretty smart like when she knew Heather was manipulating her. In my opinion she could have made a pretty good villain.
Here’s a final decision where I’ll put the people who had multiple houses into the house I think suits them most
Gryffindors: Eva, Beth, Lindsay, Geoff, Owen, Izzy, Leshawna, Trent (although he could easily to Hufflepuff or Ravenclaw. Gryffindor just seemed to suit him best)
Hufflepuffs: Katie, Sadie, Tyler, Cody, Bridgette, DJ, Duncan (wants to switch houses because he thinks it’s ridiculous that a tough guy like him would be a Hufflepuff)
Ravenclaws: Ezekiel, Sierra, Gwen, Harold, Noah
Slytherins: Heather, Alejandro, Courtney, Justin

Good things about Total Drama All Stars
I’m kinda bummed that Total Drama Daycare is happening, I was hoping it was a joke by the producers. Oh well I just hope it won’t be as bad as other CN reboots, cause I don’t want to deal with another season of people ranting how bad it is, just like when Total Drama All Stars came out.
Actually its funny as I remember how much people hated TDAS but now I bet if TDD is bad those people will find TDAS mildly ok when compared to TDD. In fact when I look back, there were some really good moments in TDAS, for those who don’t agree and think TDAS was a bad as the Emoji movie, here is a list of things I, and possibly others, liked about it. Spoiler warning for those who haven’t seen it yet.
Having 1st and 2nd gen characters competing against one another- When TDROI came out, fans of the show liked the possibility of the new characters competing with/against the older characters, and though the season wasn’t as good as people thought it was going to be, this was at least a good start for what I hope will be the first of many seasons where characters from all seasons can compete against one another. Hopefully they’ll still do a season with all 3 gen of characters and maybe some from ridonculous race compete.
Return of favorite characters- Another good thing about All Stars that people liked that was that it brought back not only fan favorite characters from the 1st and 2nd gen that were likely to participate but characters that people thought would never compete anytime soon like Alejandro, Sierra, and Sam to name a few (especially Sam for me since due to Total Drama Daycare his voice actor’s no longer a part of the series, so having him appear in All Stars was a good choice after all).
This was good cause fans finally got to see the return of characters they wanted to see for years, especially for those who wanted the return of the old characters from season 3.
The end of the Courtney hates Gwen subplot- Though TDWT is considered the best season of the series so far, you have to admit it had its flaws, like DJ’s animal curse and Team Victory losing nearly every challenge at the beginning of the season to name a few. To me one of them was the whole Courtney/Gwen/Duncan love triangle storyline and how it brought tension between Courtney and Gwen.
Though I admit it was a good way to introduce drama to the series, I was a bit annoyed by it cause not only was the season already annoying having the 2 girls and Heather always arguing on the show, but it happened when the 2 were starting to become acquaintances (which I hoped would end the constant fighting a bit) and it also cause Gwen to suffer a bit, which happens too much on the series in my opinion. It was also annoying to see that even after TDWT whenever Courtney and Gwen were together in something, the creator would most likely make Courtney a revenge seeking nut job, which ironically never really happened in All Stars.
Luckily though, All Stars finally brought that storyline to an end, and hopefully they won’t do it again with the roles reversed in a future season, cause not only do I see Gwen not holding a grudge like that for long (except when it comes to Heather) but if she did she would just be as bad as Courtney, which really isn’t her character.
Duncan knowing Mike/Mal- Though it was short it was interesting to find out that someone knew another player before they signed up for the show that weren’t either related or already friends. Personally I hope they do this again in the future either with new or current characters, one idea that comes to mind are a guy that goes to same school as one of the older contestants but both don’t know much about each other before they competed with/against one another, maybe becoming friends in the process.
Courtney’s downfall- Personally I hate Courtney. Ever since her elimination in TDI, her bossy, self centered, and antagonistic personality has been flanderized to the point that she is just as a bitch as Heather, Jo, and Amy, and even back before her elimination there were signs of her being like this.
That’s why I liked how after all she has done on the show, she gets what she truly deserves in All Stars especially in the episode “Sundae Muddy Sundae”.  Say what you might, that episode is good to watch if you hate Courtney.
Mal - Though hated by a lot of people, I was pretty intrigued by the character for multiple reasons.
Some small reasons was that not only was it interesting to see the writers use a good guy as a “bad guy” of the season, but it was interesting to find out that Mal was actually hinted at a season before, something they did a lot before and during season 4. Another intriguing thing about him was that Mal’s personality was a lot like Heather from TDI and Alejandro from TDWT as he was just as manipulative as both of them (which a lot of people liked) but a bit better as unlike the other villains of the series up to that point, Mal was actually evil to the core and actually tries to do evil things to people, like murder, which also brought a new kind of drama to the show.
Plus you have to admit, If Mal didn’t exist, the season‘s title of main antagonist would have probably changed so much (due to most of the characters having had this title in previous seasons) that it could have made the viewers confuse on who the real villain of the season was suppose to be, plus a bit boring since most of the villains on the show had enough time as antagonist during the series, and that’s just as bad as having no main antagonist at all.
Aleheather confirmed- Though I’m not a big fan of the ship, I still thought it was a nice touch for this season to finally make it canon, especially during the finale.
Sinking of Camp Wawanakwa- Another thing that people hated as Wawanakwa was where the show started and now its gone forever, but I personally see this as a bittersweet thing cause not only does this symbolize the renewal of a better future for total drama (at least before TDD came out), but as a sign that the writers could have the cast compete in a different area, which we did with Pahkitew Island, which if you recall is an island that can change its landscape which I find better then Wawanakwa, cause an island that can have an unlimited amount of backgrounds sounds better then a place with a limited amount. Plus I bet if the writers wanted to, they could make Pahkitew change into an identical replica of Wawanakwa.
But these are just my personal favorite moments from All Stars, what moments in TDAS did you like ?
