i’m gonna get in a mood and write an emily axford character appreciation post and another siobhan thompson character appreciation post bc the other one is gone now and those are things that need to exist on my blog again. i will scream about them forever and ever and ever. people have been saying this is the year we go feral over our favs and this is my life i go feral over my favs my blog is a love letter to both of their characters 24/7.
like i love the intrepid heroes and all their characters but i will never feel the same for anyone’s characters as i do for theirs. adaine. misty/rowan. ruby. riva. rosamund. fig. sofia. jet. saccharina. sundry sidney. ylfa. perfect characters no notes.

Honestly, major shoutout to whoever runs the computer virus wiki. It’s clearly a small community project, and despite clearly being a website from the early 2000s or earlier, it’s still up and running and accessible to a regular old user.
And the articles are decently accessible to someone unfamiliar with viruses! They do contain technical information, but they also have a basic rundown chart for each virus at the beginning of the page, and definition pages for terms they use that might be unfamiliar (such as defining a “nematode” and differentiating “worm” from “virus” from “Trojan”).
It’s clearly a labor of love and I LOVE reading through it.
And they have pages for virus *writers*, and references at the bottom of the page (with warnings when appropriate; some references are to sites which host live virus samples!). It’s so well done and I’m honestly really impressed.
Most of the viruses listed aren’t ones that could infect a Windows 10 or 11 computer, and it’s a bit more of a historical resource than a regularly updated compilation of every virus ever. If you have a current virus infection on a modern computer, it might not be as helpful. But it’s still really great and I love it SO MUCH.
Sign up for a larp they said, it’ll be fun! Nobody mentioned the stress of asking people to play pretend with you!!! How am I supposed to send a text that says “hey do you want my character to stab yours in the stomach in February or should we settle this another way?”??? College didn’t prepare me for this!
