She is good with her hands in more areas than sewing. She can work with cars and other motorised things, in modern times she was a free mechanic for her friends. Because she needs to have such steady hands to work with needles, Mai is also great at things like dominoes that require being still.
A big fan of 70s, 80s and 90s music. Country and folk songs as well as rock and a few pop songs made up her playlists.
Speaking of playlists, she has multiple for different occasions. One for sewing, one for designing, working out, parties, car rides etc.
Her favourite colour is baby pink (may be canon because of her kimono).
She likes dahlia flowers because of the shape of their petals and various colours.
I think that she was an orphan. She was abandoned by her parents, maybe because they couldn’t take care of her or they just didn’t want her. She was put in the foster care system and she hated it. I’ll make a more in depth post later.
Personal Opinion/Fun Fact: Mai is the horniest of all the MCs.
For context, Kiyomi Chiba is my MC for Ikémen Sengoku and she’s a Shinobi who works for Nobunaga Oda after she gets zapped up from her own time along with Sasuke. But unlike him, she already knew how to fight way before she entered the Sengoku Era. When she met Motonari, she rescued Mai and put herself in her place. Since then, Kiyomi and Motonari have had a rivalry like no other, due to their hotheaded personalities and fighting styles. This is just a sneak peak into how their relationship would go after they finally fall in love. Also, Motonari is her ideal suitor.
Before Marriage…
Motonari: *Breathing Heavily*
Kiyomi: *Also Breathing Heavily*
…
Motonari: Argh! I can’t carry on like this! Are ya somehow related to me or somethin’?!
Kiyomi: Hahaha! Nah! I’m just that good!
…
Motonari: *Blushes* Y-Ya wanna go out…? Ya know… as a couple…?
Kiyomi: *Blushes* Huh…?
Kiyomi: *Face Goes Red* WHY ARE YA ASKING ME SOMETHIN’ LIKE THAT IN A MIDDLE OF A FIGHT, YA IDIOT?!!!
Motonari: *Face Also Goes Red* YES OR NO!!! IT’S THAT SIMPLE!!!
Kiyomi: FINE!!! I’LL GO ON A STUPID DATE WITH YA!!!
…
Kicho: Um… I thought we were going war with you both.
Motonari & Kiyomi: *Look At Him With Deadly Glares* Haaah…?
Motonari: Ya interruptin’ us?
Kiyomi: I’ll kill ya…
Kicho: (Oh shit!)
After Marriage…
Kiyomi: *Slams Door Open and Sits Down*
Nobunaga: So good you could join us—?!
Kiyomi: Shut up!
Masamune: Woah! What’s got you so angry?
Kiyomi: *Blushes Heavily* You interrupted my romantic morning with my husband!!!
Hideyoshi: *Sighs* Kiyomi, I understand you’re newlyweds… but this is more important—!
Motonari: *Slams Door Open* You… bastards…! *Dark Glare*
Mitsuhide: Oh dear… someone made—?!!
Kiyomi: *Punches Mitsuhide*
Keiji, Mitsunari & Masamune: *Flinch*
Kiyomi: *Pretends Nothing Happened* Good morning darling~!
Motonari: *Blushes* Y-You saw me earlier…, ya idiot! *Smiles Slightly*
Mitsuhide: *Bleeding*
Mai & Nobunaga: Yeah… those two are made for each other….
A short drabble without a clear pairing. Attempted light horror / angst(?).

I never understood why you would care, and I dare say I still do not. My current existence is nothing more than an error in the matrix of this world. How come a person can be alive before a day they were even born?
I shouldn’t be here.
I shouldn’t have loved.
My eyes prick, but I open them wider, fighting against the seemingly ever-present and all-knowing smoke. At this point, I am not even sure where exactly am I – this, whatever situation this is, has been replicated and repeated far too many times for me to count. There is no right path for me to choose, as the present will not crawl towards the future, instead retracting its neck into the sands of past.
I can never return.
I can only watch.
A man is lying over the tatami mats in front of me. My arms reach for him mechanically, my back threatening to break as I haul his body into safety. One day, perhaps, my spine will truly collapse. It seems to have retained the memory of the last time the weight of Nobunaga and everything that he is rested over my shoulders.
Cold air of the night cups my face as I excuse myself from the fire. My knees hurt, and surely, if they could, they’d roll their eyes. They’d ask me about my reasons for saving him. They’d demand to know why am I so insistent on not letting him burn down… Or, it may be that I am the one who wishes to understand that much.
What has me going?
What has me believing that something will change with a new route?
The old commotion breaks out. I play according to the script, but internally, all I do is wonder whose hand should I take this time. Who should be allowed to ravish me, to cherish me, to have my heart pang until we have to part. They’re all wonderful, in their own right – Nobunaga, who charmed me with his will and decisive, although scarred heart; Masamune, the one who personifies life; Ieyasu, the romance so sour that each drop of sweetness overwhelms your mind… And more, and more, so many more, from moon to sun, each so different, each so ideal in his imperfection, each breathing, living, loving…
Until our few promised months are over. Nobody gifted us a script for our happily-ever-after. Quite to the opposite, in fact.
I look up from my place in the saddle, my back pressing firmly against an armoured chest. Whose hand should I take? Does it even matter? Drown me in the story of our love, just so that I can return and taste another of your kind…
I’m sorry. There is no future to be had in this endless prison of romance. I may as well have fun.
TADAAAHHHH......!!!!! Since I finished Yukimura's sequel and I plan to post this on my birthday but we're going on outing with my sisters, so I post it now. 😊
She’s still from the future. She came through the wormhole, connected with the different guys, and was considering staying. Then, as things go, she was kidnapped by Kennyo to be used against Nobunaga. However, he didn’t come back for her. He left her to die, which surprised everyone, not just Mai.
It felt like everything Mai believed in had been taken from her and torn. She was confused and angry. So, so angry.
Kennyo and the Uesugi-Takeda sought to help her. Sasuke, who was planning on returning once he got Mai safe in the future, also stayed when she said she wanted to. After all, she needed to get revenge.
She trained in the sword and archery, but she was more comfortable with a gun. Sasuke taught her about chemicals, extending on what she learnt from Ieyasu. She created concoctions to neutralise people. Some were painless while others hurt like hell, but they never killed a person. She doused her bullets in these liquids and would shoot at limbs and other non lethal areas.
Mai travelled, gathering a group of men and women who needed somewhere to go or wished to fight the Oda. Those who didn’t want to fight still received refuge from her, acquiring jobs in Echigo or Etchū province, Echigo’s neighbour which she conquered and transformed into the Mizusaki clan’s home.
She was beloved among her retainers and citizens. Misfits, those seeking safety, or anybody who believed in her cause co-existed happily. Etchū had little crime rates. Any who endangered their fellow citizens were cast out. If they returned, she imprisoned them, and if they fought, she poisoned them to suffer for a long time.
By this point, Mai’s old friends knew of her, and boy were they scared.
