Part of me thinks that Marcus didn’t expect Adam, Bree, and Chase to care about Leo as much as they do. Like I genuinely think he thought it would be so easy to separate them. In Speed Trapped even before Leo calls Bree they don’t exactly seem willing to just leave with Marcus without knowing what happened to Leo, even if they were annoyed with him. I don’t think Marcus was prepared for how much they all cared for each other.

Isn't it kinda fucked up that Marcus is allowed to call Douglas 'dad,' but Adam, Bree and Chase still have to call Donald 'Mr Davenport.'
Like, Marcus was also raised as a weapon, just for bad instead of good. And he's still allowed to call his dad 'dad.'

Lab Rats has such a bizarre vibe because like. It KNOWS about its fucked up bits. Marcus will look Douglas dead in the eyes and say “You were my creator, and you left me to die” and you sit there like SHIT that’s raw man. then Douglas will go “Well to be fair, I didn’t think you’d be coming back!” And this LOUD ass laugh track comes in and gives you such intense tonal whiplash that it sends you skyrocketing through seven planes of existence
