Okay before I go to sleep I wanted to do some stuff with the toontown au!!

Most of it will be bits of randomly ideas or relationships I have for it.

Who am I kidding in this is sort of an overview I guess

So it’s lovers to enemies to act acquaintances to friends to loversish for layclaire (sorry)

It takes place in a london where gangs rule the roost and toons are there to entertain or help with dodgy dealings

Claire is just living her “normal” life as a dr before this all happens

Until Clive dove her kind off apprentice/ward gets framed for murder (bill hawks) and comes to her to help uncover who did it

This leads to Claire and her toon friend Rickie the Rooster to realise oh their gonna have to go back to the underground again cause this is totally the work of The Devil In The Tophat

So to clarify future Hershel is TDITTH in this along with his gang the Crimson Roses they rule the underground

So Claire, Clive, Rickie and Claire’s close friend Desmond have to sneak around to find clues and gather information on who could have framed Clive and why

In come Claire’s old friends the Sapphire songbirds who have been searching on this for years

This is where Clive finds out Dr Foley is not what she seems and is actually the head of a huge underground organisation

In this group is Celeste her younger sister, Dimitri fellow scientist who has a debt to pay

Marie one of the eldest in the group along with Drake

Also turns out the DITTH is looking for not only Clive but her too

And that’s how it starts

Some extra stuff

Clive technically is Claire’s godson because his mother was quite close to her before she died and left him in her care

Hersh is extremely protective over his daughter’s and son, he will not hesitate to go apeshit if you hurt them

Claire is the more fight now think later one out of the two whilst hersh is much more calculating and orderly

Luke is the oracle figure in this au again in a sort of neutral way along with his toon friends Toppy the mouse, Enna the rabbit and Lumi the otter!

This also includes Aurora who’s his best friend and is able to know where the next fight will break out

Clark and Brenda are on opposite sides (I’ll leave you to figure out why and which groups they decided to be in :3)

favorite fic you wrote this year

That would probably be Phantom Flu (https://archiveofourown.org/works/23261380), a Rhythm Thief oneshot where Phantom R catches the flu so Charlie and Marie take care of him. I wrote it back in March when we had our first lockdown and it really cheered me up. I found it fairly easy to write about Raphael being sick and having to stay at home because that’s what EVERYONE was doing at the time. Also, I’ll take any excuse to write about the Rhythm Thief gang interacting! I think it got a surprising amount of attention for a Rhythm Thief fic. Again, maybe it’s just cause everyone could relate to what the characters were going through!

favorite character to write about this year

I wrote like 3/4 Flora Reinhold fics, most of them being part of a series focussing on Flora... so I’m going to say Flora! I really wanted to write a bunch of stories about her dealing with Luke and Layton being gone before the events of Layton’s Mystery Journey. Not just her, but everyone who knows Layton! I feel like this would be such a WORLD SHAKING event for not only Flora, but Desmond, Emmy, Randall, the Tritons, Layton’s parents... etc. Professor Layton— the guy who saved the world, London and so many is lives— is MISSING. I hated how it was brushed off as such a minor thing during LMJ. I know ten/eleven years have passed by the time Kat opened her Detective Agency, but if people can spend EIGHTEEN YEARS looking for some archaeology nerd kid (Randall), do you really think they’d give up looking for Layton after a decade? I mean, I’m sure we’re meant to assume Layton’s loved ones are continuing to search for him in the background of LMJ, but we get to focus on Kat’s daily cases in London instead... which, for as adorable as they can, are nowhere near as dramatic or thrilling.

So, I’m wanted to write a series of fics with Flora at the centre where she practically has to raise her siblings and she reconnects with her family and friends. And she has an OC girlfriend (because Flora deserves all the OC love interests)! I’ve been meaning to finish the next part of the series where Flora and her siblings visit Monte d’Or but I put it on hold for a while. I really need to finish it for Flora!

Since everyone else is doing it, but not really, I might as well too.

Predictions/Theories:

Now for the fun part. Theories... Please remember to take this with a grain of salt, as this is only my opinion.

According to an anonymous source, there will be a story mode called Worlds Collide, in which the player has to fight all the villains. If this is the case, we could have several newcomers:

Medusa: One of the mostly main antagonists from Kid Icarus Uprising, aside from Hades. If the point of Worlds Collide is to fight villains, then Medusa is a likely candidate, as is Hades and Viridi, the latter being a villain turned ally in Uprising. Of course, if the trend of Mii Fighter costumes becoming actual fighters continues, then it's actually more likely we'll get Viridi instead.

Hades: A more in depth description of the true antagonist in Uprising. Hades would be a formidable foe, and a pretty reasonable candidate as Palutena's echo fighter or simply an individual fighter like Ganondorf.

Viridi: While Viridi is not entirely an antagonist, she was partially so. Other evidence that isn't really evidence I guess maybe I dunno that may suggest Viridi's arrival is the fact that, in Smash 4, Wrath of the Reset Bomb was one of the songs available. And now, in Ultimate, the Reset Bomb Factory is one of the new stages. The other thing that isn't entirely major is the Viridi Mii Fighter costume. Most of these costumes have been becoming actual characters: King K. Rool, Chrom, Isabelle, the Inklings, and any others I may have missed. Who's to say Viridi will not have the same thing happen to her?

Sadly, these are my only predictions/theories for now because I'm half asleep and can't think straight.

A nearly 2,000 word fic on me trying to tell you how broken Angela must be and how it affects her.

I really love her and her character is really interesting if you think about it, the amount of broken promises and waiting she had to do.

This fic is where she gets the chance to live her dream with angst of course (sorry)

The Geographer and the Photographer

Emmy wonders about her parents a lot.

Her mother gone when she was little, leaving her and her father to fend for themselves.

Then her father died not long after. She was left in uncle Leon and aunt Rachel’s care.

Rachel would tell her stories about her mother and her adventures, how she and her father would continuously bicker until Leon had to physically pull them apart.

The Geographer and the Photographer, Marie and Johnathan Altava.

The woman has vague memories of her father but can’t remember anything of her mother.

The woman who left her family behind, forced into the clutches of horror and sadness.

All she had were Rachel’s stories that painted her as this heroine who vowed to fight until the end. All Emmy saw was a broken woman too scared to fight for her family.

Marie, it was a simple name. Probably a thousand Marie’s in the world, maybe one day she could try dig around and find her (well if she was alive that is.)

It’s then Emmy remembers her father, bright smile always positive in spite of his connection with Targent and Leon.

The photos of him and her when she was younger were scattered on her desk, she was certainly a shell of the young girl she was back then.

Toothy grin, chubby hands clasping onto the only family she had left before he too went away.

Emmy wonders about her parents a lot and wonders why they left her alone, and now she was left to pick up the pieces.

The Altava name her’s to tarnish or to cherish.
