𝐈𝐍𝐓𝐑𝐎𝐃𝐔𝐂𝐈𝐍𝐆… 𝐒𝐈𝐍 𝐂𝐈𝐓𝐘, 𝐀𝐍 𝐎𝐑𝐈𝐆𝐈𝐍𝐀𝐋 𝐒𝐓𝐎𝐑𝐘

❝ Marisol Crúz is a woman seeking justice. Specifically, she seeks justice against Harlan Maddox, a corrupt Las Vegas casino owner who, just a little over a year ago, had been found to rig his slot machines and who had scammed his customers out of a collective ten million dollars. But Maddox, being rich enough to cheat the justice system, had not received the punishment he deserved, and so Marisol is determined to drain the bastard’s bank account and give the stolen money back to Maddox’s victims. And as the wealthy CEO of a large tech conglomerate, inherited from her father when it was only a tiny startup, she certainly has the riches and resources to do it. But in order to pull off her plan properly, she’s going to need a team - one consisting of highly skilled individuals who will be the best choices to help Marisol hand down her justice.

CeCe Gomez has been Marisol’s best friend since the two of them were small (and a little bit more than that in high school, but that’s in the past). She’s also a certified badass, a former US Marine who was honourably discharged due to a shoulder injury and who now acts as a martial arts instructor in the heart of New York City. CeCe has always been willing to go along with Marisol’s crazy schemes, but the two of them lost contact several years ago and haven’t heard from each other since. But when her old friend’s lawyer visits her gym and asks if she’d be willing to join a team Marisol is assembling, of course CeCe’s answer is yes. She’s never been good at saying no to Marisol Crúz.

Zeke Rojas is a born and bred conman, but he hasn’t wanted to be for some time. He’s been disillusioned with the life of a liar and a cheat since he was seventeen years old, which was kind of a hard thing to be when his entire family consisted of the most accomplished con artists in Chile. He finally got out of the family “business” four years ago, fleeing to the United States in the middle of the night and leaving no trace of himself behind, but it hasn’t been easy to go straight when the only skills he’s ever been taught are cheating and stealing. He’s working the cold streets of Chicago, picking pockets and trying desperately to get a real, steady job, when he’s approached by the personal lawyer of the young CEO of CrúzTech, offering him a chance to finally use his talents for good.

Charlie Kellman has had a lifelong fascination with everything that goes boom, but being an economically-challenged bundle of social anxiety and possible undiagnosed autism hasn’t exactly provided him with many opportunities to use his demolition skills in legal ways. Not that that’s an excuse for assisting in four bank robberies, he knows it’s not, but also the robbers were all very nice and he doesn’t really have any friends, so it was nice to find some people he could hang out with while also being useful. That is, until the cops came upon the most recent robbery and the others completely ditched him, leaving Charlie to run from the law while alone once again. He’s still running when Marisol Crúz’s lawyer finds him, offering to get him an official pardon in exchange for joining some kind of Robin Hood team where he’ll get to use his explosives for an actual good cause. Getting to be around a group of people, no longer worrying about getting arrested, and being allowed to blow stuff up? It’s practically Charlie’s dream deal, how is he supposed to refuse?

Eva Carmichael knows she’s a talented singer. She’s known it from a very young age, and she desperately wants other people to know it too. But without the dough to make connections and properly promote herself, it’s extremely hard to break onto the New York music scene. And apparently Marisol Crúz, a badass young CEO whom Eva has always admired, knows she’s talented as well, because she wants Eva to be her “in” for a heist she’s planning by getting a job as a singer in a Las Vegas casino. It’s not exactly the big break Eva was expecting, but at this point, she’s willing to do pretty much anything to get her talent out there. Plus, she’s sure as hell not going to pass up a free trip to Sin City.

Logan Wilder is a self-proclaimed “hacking vigilante,” using his considerable computer skills to hack into the financial systems of corrupt businesses and give money back to their swindled customers. He’s also a white hat hacker, doing people a favour by breaking into various security systems to pinpoint their weaknesses and informing the owners about them, but either way, he’s never been on the right side of the law. That’s why he’s in a cold holding cell with a rock-hard bench when some lawyer dude he did not call for comes to visit him, proclaiming that Marisol freaking Crúz wants to utilize his skills to pull off a heist in Vegas in exchange for getting all the charges against him dropped. It’s basically a chance for Logan to continue his mission on a much larger scale, plus it gets him off of this awful bench that’s made his ass completely numb by this point, so of course he agrees.

Now assembled, Marisol’s team makes their way to America’s City of Lights, ready and willing to pull off their plan. In two weeks, Harlan Maddox will be hosting a gala in celebration of the twentieth anniversary of his biggest and best casino - the perfect opportunity for the team to strike. And so, putting Marisol’s scheme into action, the team slowly infiltrates Maddox’s business, getting Eva a job performing at the gala in addition to getting CeCe hired as Maddox’s new bodyguard and Logan as the casino’s new IT manager.

The plan seems to be going off without a hitch, but of course it wouldn’t go exactly according to plan. As Logan spends more time around Jack, Maddox’s sweet but overworked assistant, he begins to doubt the fairness of taking all the money away from a man who has people on his payroll. In addition, Marisol has been keeping a secret from the team about why she wants justice against Maddox in the first place - one that may destroy their trust in her if it comes to light.

As the night of the gala, and the heist, draws nearer, the team, who have all become something of a family to each other these last two weeks, begin to wonder: will they be able to pull off this plan after all, or will the heist, and their newly-found connections with it, come crashing apart?

Either way, what happens in Vegas is not going to stay in Vegas. Not this time. ❞

The Hills of Estrella Roja by Ashley Robin Franklin

another perfect gem of a graphic novel! there is SO MUCH CHARM here. there's intrepid Kat and her spoopy podcast, shy Marisol whose family is hiding something, the shared queer outsiderness in a tiny Texas town that brings them together, and of course the mystery of what's really going on in Estrella Roja! absolutely perfect combination of sweetness and scares, great pacing, and a really lively and fun art style.

this book does a thing that i always love, and that i think takes particular skill: the characters and the story are very nuanced and specific, and that specificity is what makes the whole thing relatable. the frame of the paranormal mystery (which i don't think ever gets fully explained, but i didn't mind) supports and enhances the more real-feeling stories of struggling to reconnect with family and wondering why you're not welcome, of following impulses and making do with junk food and positivity when your money runs out, of seeing a friendly face and hanging out together in the library or in a car in the middle of nowhere or sneaking in the window for a sleepover when being alone feels too frightening. and with the trappings of Mexican cryptids and witchy town history and a showdown against evil all around it? absolutely fantastic.

try this if you: love to see queers bonding in scary circumstances, have ever enjoyed a podcast about the supernatural, or had inadvisable adventures with friends and crushes as a teen/twentysomething.

Review:

Two girls, one horrifying mystery, and an unexpected romance. Kat Fields receives a mysterious email that urges her to visit an unknown town in Texas that has a history of witchcraft, strange sightings and “devil lights”. Kat runs a spooky podcast and she can’t resist this new story. She takes a solo road trip to Estrella Roja but the moment she gets there everybody is closed off and refuses to answer any of her questions, in fact she is urged to go away. Marisol “Mari” Castillo is also in Estrella Roja, but rather than a spooky investigation she is there to attend her abuela’s funeral. Things are tense because her mother had cut ties with the family and left Estrella when Mari was only a child but now she is back. Mari begins to notice that her family is extremely secretive and now she is determined to help Kat investigate. From going on cute investigations and research outings, the two girls begin to fall for each other but they both begin to realize that there is something much stranger going on in the town and that Mari’s family is definitely involved somehow. A dark legacy, monsters, and the bonds that bring us together, can these two girls make it out of Estrella Roja alive when they unlock the mystery? This was a fun read and I enjoyed the mystery! The art is cute and the overall romance was sweet. I liked how spooky the story was and the twist at the end was nice. Overall, definitely a fun spooky read!

there really isn’t much to tell about natalia. people usually know how these stories go; a relatively wealthy family, parents who, in one way or another, are a little bit negligent or dismissive, kids who end up either raising or wrecking themselves and their siblings in the process, unfulfilled dreams, and so on. well, the salazar family story is basically that.

her parents ( marisol and esteban ) were just your typical couple who had a little too many privileges and they loved bragging about them. their story starts in porto alegre, brazil to be exact. they were just your average high school sweethearts who ended up living the so called “perfect life”, that after three kids ended up falling apart. natalia is the middle child in the family; the second attempt from marisol & esteban to save the marriage that was hanging by a very thin thread. being the middle child and second daughter of the family, you’d think she would’ve had a very light and flexible upbringing. since everyone always assumes the middle child is often forgotten, unfortunately for natalia, all the pressure that her parents put on her older sister was somehow placed all into her as well. all the dreams that her parents never achieved ( but were dying to vicariously live through their children ) they placed onto her, along with the fact that they expected her to single handedly fix their fucked up marriage, as if a marriage depends on the children and not the spouse.

she was pretty much at a disadvantage from the start, they never really gave her a chance. now, being under so many expectations and pressure really fucked up with natalia’s head. apart from the fact that she was very dependant and influenced on other people’s views and perceptions of her so, she never really had the courage or back bone to stand her ground and say enough is enough; not like they ever gave her a chance to do so. it’s no surprise that there was little to no relationship between her parents or even her brothers, she always felt like the outsider and like the most important person in the family, it was such an ambivalent and inconsistent environment, she never really knew what she was gonna be for her family today or the day after.

the ambivalence she was met with at home, lead her to making some unfortunate mistakes; trust the wrong people, doubt herself and so on. and then, she met a guy, an amazing guy; lorenzo rossi. the relationship she had with him is one of the only things she doesn’t regret. but, what she does regret is what she did after and what happened after. you know when things are going too well that you are expecting and waiting like crazy for the other shoe to drop ? well, that’s what happened to natalia. things were going far too well with lorenzo that she felt like it was only a matter of time before shit went down. so, what did she do ? she left. she just vanished, she was looking for a way out from everything, especially her family. and she got it. she walked away, without saying anything and without any sort of warning.

now those four years that she was away, being everywhere and anywhere, something amazing happened. she didn’t know until a bit after she left but she started feeling nauseous and was going through a lot of hormonal changes, and surprise surprise, she was expecting. now, when she found out there was an initial panic because it wasn’t really in her plans to become a mom, and there was the fact that she was all alone ( by choice ) so she was gonna have to figure it out. and yes, of course, she could’ve gone back but there was the fear in her mind that as soon as she went back, hell was gonna rain on her. she obviously knew that it wasn’t gonna be pretty, i mean it had been years at this point, they all probably hated her; especially lorenzo and showing up at his doorstep after a while of being MIA with the news of ‘ hey, sorry i vanished but you are gonna be a dad ’ really did not sound like the best plan, so she just stuck it up on her own. she ended up giving birth to a little girl called rosie and she immediately became her whole world. at first it was a bit bittersweet since she was all alone with a newborn, as much as she wanted to tell her siblings she couldn’t risk disclosing her location or risk being persuated by them to return, so she stuck it through. she was happy for a while, and then, around rosie’s 4th birthday and because like a dark hole her family needed to suck away the little amount of happiness she had in her life; her parents ended up splitting up and it was ugly, and they called her ‘cause she needed to be there for whatever bullshit reason ‘cause people really took the split as a national tragedy and so, more so for the feeling of duty, she came back. so she’s here again, the only difference is she has an added plus with her, trying to avoid at any cost the person that she knows it’s only a matter of time before they bump into each other again.

* / . 𝒑𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒐𝒏𝒂𝒍𝒊𝒕𝒚 .

natalia is a very much ‘ what you see is what you get ’ kind of person. she isn’t that difficult to figure out unless she doesn’t want you to. she is a very light-hearted person, who puts everyone else’s needs before her own to an extreme point. she walks around with her heart on her sleeve, very much a lover not a fighter, loves having fun and laughing till she cannot breathe with the people that she loves.

now, the other side of the coin, extremely influenced by her environment and other people’s views on her, she cares a bit too much about what everyone else thinks or doesn’t think of her. now she is obviously not a mind reader but that doesn’t stop her from overthinking just a bit. has a complete fear of confrontation like she will never go pick a fight with absolutely anybody; like you could literally push her and she would just get up and walk away before ever confronting the person who did it. very much pushover, kinda rachel green style. her first reaction in the face of a conflict is avoid, avoid, avoid. like i’m running away from you because you might be fast, but her fear of conflict is faster. she turns into the flash, you ain’t ever catching up to her. very much a people pleaser even if it means withering away and dying. or until she can’t handle it anymore and she runs away so she doesn’t have to deal with the disappointed looks from the people she cares about.

she is very devoted person; she tends to give her heart away to everyone she meets. keeps her feelings under like twenty locks, will never willingly share that part of herself, unless it’s with someone she wholeheartedly trusts. a bit of an adrenaline junkie. watches horror movies just for the rush of it, even tho she spends half of the movie either pretending to be busy or covering her eyes. buuuuut, she can watch true crime documentaries like it's nothing. doesn't faze them at all, she thinks in her past life she was a criminologist.

she’s naturally a very kind person, she cares deeply about other people although she struggles to express it most of the time .loves loves loves watching the stars. a huge astronomy nerd, will literally talk to anyone about astronomy�� for like hours if you let her. she finds the stars and the moon at night so peaceful, calm and so beautiful so sometimes she just spends the whole night watching them.

fluent in spanish and portuguese.

she loves learning new languages, she is currently trying to learn italian, not doing a very good job but the effort is what counts.

loves cooking like could spend hours on hours in the kitchen making up something, especially sweets.

she is obsessed with tik tok, and her hobby is basically learning every dance she stumbles upon in her fyp.

loves loves dancing, like take her salsa dancing and she is there, every day of the week.

is dying to go skydiving and bungee jumping like if she had to pick anything to do before she died it would be one of those two.

has an intense phobia of lizards, like all it takes is seeing one from afar and her fight or flight immediately kicks in, followed by a huge breakdown.

her favorite holiday is christmas, she is very much a listen to christmas all year long type of person and she doesn’t hide it, she just loves it so much

she LOVES the cold, like cold weather is heaven to her, she loves the snow, drinking hot chocolate, wearing jackets & sweaters, boots... she’s just there for the vibes.

reality tv shows are her guilty pleasure, she just loves watching something that it’s so bad it’s good.

Some random facts about my ikepri next gen:

Jin Children:

Oldest is Roja, and she is often left "in charge" of her younger cousins. However, she finds them boring and only useful to manipulate into doing tasks for her by bribing them with lollipops that she steals from her dad.

Has a little brother but he doesn't live at the palace.

Best friends with Sariel's daughter, Zeeva. They are the judgemental best friends.

Chevalier Daughter:

Elise is the picture perfect image of a princess. Sweet, kind, easy to get along with. Never gets on trouble but doesn't actively stop the mischievous ones.

Would like siblings in the future.

Clavis Daughter:

Lunette. His little moondrop. Takes after Clavis in attempting to pull pranks but she is actually really...really bad at it.

Poor Cyril. He picks her up by the scruff of her neck or carries her like a sack of potatos and Lunette just accepts it. She goes limp noodle on him.

Leon children:

Anneli the secret knight. Likes to play with swords and will challenge anyone to a fight. Pops out with a wooden sword and will not let the poor soul pass.

Absolutely loves Gilbert because he will entertain her fights by using his cane.

Definitely has other siblings.

Yves Daughter:

Sylvie, the one and only Kloss child. Very clingy to her father. Does not under any circumstances want "a baby brother/sister". The very thought makes her cry.

The prettiest child you've ever seen. Likes to copy yves routine in the morning and evening of skin care. Imagine tiny child on large stool with headband and rubbing cream into her face.

Terrified of Clavis.

Licht Daughter

Heidi is sneaky. She's quiet so many assume that she is well behaved. Nah. Mischief maker number 3. Once Nokto's daughter arrives, she is bumped from 2 to 3.

Has a kitten named Noelle.

Indifferent on the sibling subject.

Nokto children:

Marisol. Mischief child number 2 when she comes to the castle. Besties with Lunette. Grew up in the city because no one knew her origin.

Loves being able to boss people around.

Definitely has siblings.

Luke daughter

Lydia. Please feed. Always hungry. Will sit under tables and swipe food from plates. Enjoys plants and water them with a can.

No siblings yet.

Gilbert children:

Cursed with sets of twins.

Valarie and Vero. Valarie is a witch confirmed. Carries a cauldron with her everywhere and will cast spells on you. You must react. Gilbert is threateningly in the background.

Vero is quiet but also like the idea of magic. Could possibly poison you. Half on purpose.

He has a set of boys as well. Currently not named. One is besties with Lunette.

Silivo daughter:

Nevira spoiled brat. Likes to steal her father's cape so he had a replica one made in her size. Is learning to negotiate but is really bad at it. Will beg. Maybe some tears.

Not fond of having siblings.

Keith daughter:

Clarisse is sunshine child number 1. Flower crowns and picnics.

Rio, Sariel, Cyril, Emidio to follow some day.

Descripción física: morena,ojos redondos color negros, pelo lacio negro con un hoyuelo en la mejilla.

Comportamiento: tranquila,abrumada cuando toma decisiones y comienza a pensar en el futuro.

Rasgos de personalidad: creativa, ambicionada y amable.

Bueno pues voy a observar a mi prima se llama Valentina Guerty, pero le gusta que le digan Vale, es hija unica por lo tanto es la primogenita.Ella sabe que edad tiene y en que grado va, donde vive y como se llama su escuela, a pesar de que ya esta grande siempre carga su oso de peluche para todas partes y dice que tiene un olor muy especial.

El lugar en donde ahora la observo es en mi casa, estoy en un sillón en la parte de arriba de mi casa a lado de mi hay una ventana donde pega mucho el sol y donde se puede ver parte de la ciudad, es muy tranquilo pero casi siempre pasan muchos carros.

Hay una pared es color roja y la otra blanca con sillones color gris y rojos.

Tiene un estilo de crianza parental autoritario ya que sus papás le dicen que obedezca y respete. Límites. Observe que su papá si le dio su espacio para decidir que dulce quería y ella lo escogió con mucho gusto.

Su mamá le dijo que se portara bien que ahorita regresaba por ella a lo cual ella no lo hizo así que llegando su mamá le dije que no se había portado bien y su mamá le dijo que llegando a su casa le castigaría sus lego Ninjago con lo que tanto le gusta jugar a lo que ella le respondió que estaba bien y que ya no lo volvería hacer.

Lo que infiero. Bueno pues que los estilos de crianza son muy importantes, porque la forma en que los padres interactúan con los hijos, va ser la base de su desarrollo social y emocional.

Lo que sentí ese día fue que estaba muy estresada por que no sabia de que tema hacerlo me abrume porque también tenia que hacer la línea de tiempo ese día y sentía que no lo iba a terminar, pero al final mi mamá me dijo que no tenía ni por que estar así que todo era su tiempo y que todo iba a salir bien. Presidente Boric: "Este es el desastre más grande que hemos vivido como país desde el terremoto del 27 de febrero de 2010."

Con estas palabras, el Presidente de la República inició sus palabras mientras se encontraba en Quilpué, visitando las zonas afectadas por los incendios en la Región de Valparaíso.

“Lo digo para que seamos capaces de dimensionar el dolor y la magnitud de lo que estamos viendo hoy día, aquí en la quinta región” señaló.

Junto a las autoridades locales, indicó que solamente en Quilpué hay más de 1300 casas destruidas según los catastros y eso aún falta actualizarlo con los últimos números de ayer. En Viña del Mar es mucho más.

El presidente se reunió previamente junto a la ministra de salud Ximena Aguilera, el ministro de educación Nicolás Cataldo, el subsecretario del interior Manuel Monsalve, el subsecretario de defensa Ricardo Montero, además de la delegada presidencial Sofía González, el gobernador Rodrigo Mundaca en el centro de operaciones de la Armada, con la alcaldesa de Viña del Mar, Macarena Ripamonti, con el Jefe de la Defensa Nacional, Contraalmirante Daniel Muñoz, el presidente regional de bomberos José Molina, el director regional de Senapred Felipe Estay, el director regional de Conaf Leonardo Cohen, la general de zona de Carabineros Patricia Vásquez y el prefecto de la PDI Guillermo Gálvez, para tomar decisiones y acelerar la presencia del estado y de todas sus instituciones para ayudar a las víctimas.

“La prioridad de hoy, lo hemos dicho, pero lo reiteramos. Es salvar vidas. Siguen existiendo focos activos. Atender a los heridos…”

“Nuestro deber es proteger a vecinas y a vecinos, a sus hogares y también añado, porque se que es una preocupación de muchos de ustedes, a sus mascotas” añadió.

Comunicó que se ha tomado la decisión de mantener el toque de queda, todo lo que sea necesario.

Se está reforzando la presencia de militares en las zonas afectadas. Al mismo tiempo, se está resguardando la seguridad de los equipos que trabajan en la contención de los incendios, proveyéndoles de todos los materiales y el apoyo necesario.

El presidente agradeció la labor de los brigadistas de Conaf, Bomberos de Chile, Carabineros, PDI, las fuerzas armadas, a la Cruz Roja, a los funcionarios municipales y a la sociedad civil solidaria que se ha hecho presente “desde el minuto uno“.

Señaló que conversó directamente con la directora del SML, Dra. Marisol Prado, “porque una de las urgencias más acuciantes es recuperar los cuerpos de las personas que han fallecido. Esto es prioritario y se aborda con sentido de urgencia, porque sabemos la angustia y el dolor terrible, lacerante, que tienen los familiares, los seres queridos y a todos quienes en el proceso de rescate, de remoción de escombros, les toca encontrarse con el cuerpo de una persona fallecida. Por lo mismo, he instruido dar celeridad a este proceso, incluyendo el reforzar el servicio médico legal con brigadas desde otras regiones, también el trabajo conjunto con la Brigada de Homicidios de la PDI, con LABOCAR de Carabineros, el Ministerio de Justicia y la Fiscalía Regional y que no se ralenticen los trámites. Acá se tienen que acelerar, estamos en una situación de emergencia y por lo tanto hay que actuar con criterios de emergencia y no como se hubiese actuado ante un homicidio único. Eso implica cambiar algunos procedimientos.”

Confirmó la cifra oficial de 64 fallecidos confirmados hasta este momento por el SML, y enfatizó en que “sabemos que esa cifra va a crecer significativamente” y dispuso que desde ahora, la única vocería oficial para entregar actualizaciones de cifras de fallecidos la realizará la directora nacional del SML, Marisol Prado.

Más tarde, informó que dispuso del Palacio Presidencial de cerro Castillo para que sea utilizado íntegramente, en todas sus dependencias como espacio para realizar actividades con niños, niñas y adolescentes que también son víctimas de la tragedia. Para ello, se va a contar con monitores y profesores, además de contención emocional.

A penas estén apagados los incendios y sea seguro, comenzará la remoción de escombros. El MOP está a cargo de la coordinación de la maquinaria pública y privada para este fin.

Finalmente, instruyó que mientras se atiende la emergencia, paralelamente se recopilen todos los antecedentes y se investigue el origen de estos incendios: “Como dije ayer, resulta difícil pensar que pudieran existir personas tan miserables y desalmadas, capaces de causar tanta muerte y dolor, pero si estas personas existen, las vamos a buscar, las vamos a encontrar y tendrán que enfrentar no solo el repudio de la soledad entera, sino también todo el peso del derecho y de la ley”.

El presidente ha decretado duelo nacional por dos días a contar de mañana lunes 5 de febrero “porque es Chile entero el que sufre y llora a nuestros muertos y desde la región de Valparaíso, envío un abrazo solidario y mis mas sentidas condolencias a cada una de las victimas que han perdido un ser querido y también a quienes han perdido sus casas, sus recueros, sus pertenencias. Sepan que no estarán solos, que el gobierno, el estado y la solidaridad de los chilenos y chilenas que siempre se hace presente en estos momentos difíciles, estarán con ustedes. Una vez más nos vamos a poner de pie”. finalizó.

24 & 25 gennaio 2024: El Mal Querer (Il Malamore) allo Spazio Teatro No'hma - Milano

In occasione del terzo appuntamento con la XV Edizione del Premio Internazionale, lo Spazio Teatro No'hma di Milano offre al suo pubblico una nuova occasione per scoprire il lavoro di Federico Garcia Lorca, poeta, scrittore e drammaturgo, una delle voci più importanti della letteratura del Novecento.

Mercoledì 24 e giovedì 25 gennaio la compagnia venezuelana Afrodiartes porta in scena un adattamento di "Bodas de sangre", ovvero "Nozze di sangue", il celebre dramma in tre atti, scritto da Lorca nel 1933 e ispirato a un fatto di cronaca avvenuto nella sua Andalusia nel 1928.

La compagnia venezualena Afrodiartes si addentra nella trama originale rimanendone fedele ma offrendo una propria visione e cambiando il titolo in "Il Mal Querer", preso dall'omonimo album uscito nel 2018 della cantante spagnola Rosalia.

Su questa colonna sonora fatta di coinvolgenti intermezzi cantati e ballati, prendono vita i personaggi di Lorca tra conflitti familiari, affanni e inganni.

Sul palcoscenico di via Orcagna un cast di dodici attori diretti dal regista Andrès Moros.

La drammaturgia firmata da Jeizer Ruiz riprende un classico del teatro con l'intento di farlo conoscere alle nuove generazioni attraverso punti di vista legati al nostro presente e un impianto musicale in cui le tradizioni del flamenco incontrano il pop e il trap.

Il tema dell'amore impossibile, del tradimento, della vendetta e della fuga, e ancora la passione dirompente fino al sangue del titolo originale: gli elementi che caratterizzano l'universo tragico di Garcia Lorca restano gli stessi in "El Mal Querer" ma Jeirez Ruiz li racconta con un nuovo sguardo, trasformando la vicenda in una tragedia moderna e conferendo ad essa un colpo di scena finale.

Alexis se fue de jeta en vísperas del Día de Chiquinquirá, tremenda caída de considerables consecuencias. Fueron 20 puntos nada mas, gran trabajo médico al tratar la herida. Afortunadamente, y gracias a Dios y a La Chinita, ya todo está bajo control. El maestro de las artes y el periodismo, condecorado recientemente con la Orden Francisco de Miranda, se recupera de este golpe artero de la vida. Desde la infinita gracia de estar vivo todavía y convencido, hoy más que siempre, que Dios habita en mi frente recién cosida, tendré a bien supurar esta noticia kafkiana de la cual soy único puto protagonista. Y para dar gracias a HaSheem, El Eterno, tengo a bien improvisar unas líneas de reflexión acerca de esa caída abrupta que, desde la noche del viernes pasado, trastocó mi vida de modo harto significativo: de venir cabalgando las dulces mieles de las nubes de mi patria Esequibo he terminado mordiendo el polvo submarino de mi propio karma. Íbamos saliendo, mis inseparables Dylan y Jiole, junto con Marisol, cuando de pronto no sentí sino ese coñazo devastador, los puños con púas envenenadas de ese ángel caído que me convertían el cráneo en patilla fresca, aquel torrente de sangre de mi sangre de mi sangre roja rojita. Y, en tormenta, los truenos de angustia de mi Dylan (quien cumple meses, hoy, día 21, 72 horas después del vergajazo de marras) y de mis sendas novias de la vida, la primera y la última. Sentirlos tan apremiados por verme ahí, hueso frontal al aire, vértigo hemorrágico y coñodelamadreetcétera, sí que me indujo a pensar y sentir qué hay canciones póstumas y definitivas. ¡Joder! Pensé en (¿cuando no, Serrat) mi juglar preferido cantando conmigo “Si la muerte, pisa mi huerto, quien firmará que he muerto, de muerte natural, ídem etcétera…”. Foto Alexis Blanco[/caption] Temprano, en Palmarejo, ese viernes, Gabriel Torres Ferrari, junto con su Evil Blues, Mauro Pérez y Juan Ordóñez, brindaron una nueva extraordinaria sesión de esta increíble música que nuestro héroe común, John Lennon, intentó explicar: “El blues es una silla, no un diseño para una silla o una silla mejor... es la primera silla. Se trata de una silla para sentarse, no para mirar. Te sientas en esa música.”. Estuvimos sentados en la silla de Dios esa noche, en el histórico bar de Érika y Rafa, porque hasta allá nos llevaron nuestros ángeles bluesistas (y verga) durante una hora. Estoy convencido que, esa energía sonora que en mi estaba reconcentrada luego del toque de nuestros EB, fue lo que habilitó el milagro de no terminarme de joder con aquel monumental coñazo contra el piso verde. Gracias, absolutas e infinitas, mis panas del alma, tan temprano… Marisol y Jiolexy poseen el don y la sabiduría necesarios para brindar con eficacia primeros auxilios. Lavaron de veloz las dos heridas en forma de v invertida. Espolvorearon unos antibióticos triturados y crearon un maravilloso emplasto de sábila con orégano morado, para, luego de parar la hemorragia de marras (me encanta como

suena esa verga: hemorragia de marras), proceder a vendar también con improvisados recursos. Total, nadie espera en su casa, mucho menos en la víspera de La Chinita, a un ueón que se va a ir de jeta y te va a cambiar la fiesta por angustia y verguero, jejeje. Mi pobre bienamada Marisol (nos empatamos bailando esa legendaria Since I've Been Loving You, de Led Zeppelin, unas cuatro décadas y pico atrás y ahora somos cómplices eternos) se prodigó en ese amor que la hace una verdadera gran maestra pedagoga. Gracias, bienamado ser de luz brillante y bonita. Transcurrida la primera fase de la angustia hubo espacio para la prudencia. Decidimos esperar al sol para acudir prestos hasta la emergencia del Hospital Central “Dr Urquinaona” de Maracaibo. Desayunamos las arepas más deliciosas de toda mi vida. Dios me brindó ese chance de comerme la mía. Es Día de La Chinita. La tarde anterior estuvimos en la eucaristía de las seis de la tarde en la Basílica y me encantó saludar a mi hermano, abogado y cuidador de La Santa Patrona, el mejor tercera base con quien haya jugado pelota caimanera, también luciteño, Lassister Pérez. Ese día, 17, mi santísima madre, María Augusta, cumplía cuatro meses de haber tomado la barca de Caronte. Improvisé algunas imágenes y oré por todos. En especial por estos amigos y hermanos fotógrafos con quienes he tenido la dicha de compartir trabajando y con cuyas experiencias retratando a La Chinita yo bien podría escribir un libro para regalar a los aficionados a la gran fotografía. Este templo es una joya preciosa. Esa luz que pareciera juguetear todo el tiempo entre los arcos y arquitrabes. Esa solemne devoción con la que todos los parroquianos encienden sus coreadas oraciones y liturgias. Estaba muy feliz, agradeciendo a Dios y a La Virgen por ese grato presente de la Orden Francisco de Miranda en grado de Generalísimo. Asiento de Primera Clase que por mis 50 Años de vida profesional me ha extendido la Compañía Nacional de Teatro (cuanto amo y agradezco a esta gente que acompaña a mi maese Carlos Arroyo en sus oficios de belleza y paz), refrendada por otro noble colega y amigo, Ernesto Villegas, ministro de Cultura, quien hasta me cedió el micrófono para que yo recordara mis principios éticos como hombre de teatro y periodismo. Después paseamos, cantando “Familita Familita Familita, de papá” y grabándonos caminando por nuestros émulos Elíseos de las calles Ciencias y Venezuela, hasta las esquinas de Colón y Carabobo. Renazco ahora cada día, con mis ganas de intentar ser aún más bueno, pensando, ayudando, haciendo. Celebración de mi mismo y de los míos en el mejor rigor y sentido del poema de Walt Whitman, el anciano renacido después de una caída peluda y maluca que ahora cede paso al humor urbano: bien podrían llamarme “cabeza e’ rache” o “testa tejida” o cualquier otra vaina que me hará reír hasta el hartazgo. Gracias a un artista (el joven cirujano César Choto, de guardia ese sábado matutino en el Central no sabe que es un tejedor de Soles de Maracaibo) mi frente abierta pronto fue cerrada, con precisión de Hipócrates, Celso y Galeno estudiando juntos en el saloncito donde transcurrió la pequeña cirugía de unos veinte puntos de sutura con la que selló este capítulo sangriento de una historia que, mientras viva, jamás cesará. El eficiente doctor Choto me prescribió antibiótico, analgésico y un protector gástrico. Cada ocho horas estoy ingiriendo este cóctel de fármacos con los que, primeramente Dios, estaré pronto recuperado y listo para seguir haciendo teatro, Zona de Riesgo, la obra escrita y dirigida por Leonardo Isea que con sumo placer y orgullo estaré estrenando el mes próximo. Será una forma muy especial de agradecer. José Saramago reaparece con Las intermitencias de la muerte y susurra: “La vida es una orquesta que siempre está tocando, afinada, desafinada, un titanic que siempre se hunde y siempre regresa a la superficie.”. Otro cómplice, John Donne, llega más allá e increpa: “Muerte, no te enorgullezcas,

aunque algunos te hayan llamado poderosa y terrible, no lo eres; porque aquellos a quienes crees poder derribar no mueren, pobre Muerte; y tampoco puedes matarme a mí. El reposo y el sueño, que podrían ser casi tu imagen, brindan placer, y mayor placer debe provenir de ti, y nuestros mejores hombres se van pronto contigo, ¡descanso de sus huesos y liberación de sus almas! Eres esclava del destino, del azar, de los reyes y de los desesperados, y moras con el veneno, la guerra y la enfermedad; y la amapola o los hechizos pueden adormecernos tan bien como tu golpe y mejor aún. ¿Por qué te muestras tan engreída, entonces? Después de un breve sueño, despertaremos eternamente y la Muerte ya no existirá. ¡Muerte, tú morirás!”.
