Dockers Equipment For Legs was an experimental line by the legendary progressive Italian designer Massimo Osti (of CP Company and Stone Island fame amongst others) that was briefly marketed in the late 90s. The idea was a hyper functionality that allowed them to be used in the most challenging everyday scenarios and they combined modern technical fabrics with a huge range of pockets and utility detailing. An interesting idea and almost impossible to find on the resale market.
Dockers parent company Levi’s was so pleased with the line that they asked Osti to work on the more comprehensive team up with electronics giant Philips for the future facing Levi’s ICD+ range, written up brilliantly by Ali George Hinkins.
Double knit sweater constructed with a top layer of "exclusive thermo-sensitive yarn that drastically changes color when exposed to cold," and a pure wool inner.
Meet Naoki Wada, founder of GEEK OUT STORE. As an ex-Bunka Fashion College student, Naoki, who prefers to go by Chokkan-san [more on that later], had a natural affinity for fashion from early on. But it wasn’t until 4 years ago that he developed a particular passion for Stone Island and C.P. Company, or more specifically: Anything Massimo Osti. Being stunned by the Italian designer's vision and progressive use of materials after studying “Ideas from Massimo Osti”, Chokkan-san decided to investigate Osti’s creations further by purchasing his very first Massimo Osti item: A 1984 C.P. Company coat. You can imagine how the rest of this story unfolds.
