Okay, this time I am not late! But I do have a lack of new fics. Today it'll be two I've found during the week and four from my Ao3 Bookmarks.

Fic #1

Wheelbound by Janusi

Okay, so. This is a crossover between the tabletop RPG Godbound and the excellent book series Wheel of Time, which has a TV Series adaptation released recently. I could go on and on about the books, but this is about the fanfiction. I know jack shit about Godbound, but the comments on the thread are enough for me to get the picture. And it's glorious. The SI is a Dragon Godbound, in a tale where an important character is called The Dragon. It may be short, because it's a recent one, but the SI has started to carve out his own path, different from the main characters's. There is a reunion waiting to happen in Caemlyn, and personally, I am excited to see what it will bring. 10/10 Absolutely Reccomend.

P.S.: Unfortunately, prior knowledge of WoT is necessary to understand the plot. But I cannot reccomend the books enough. They're worth it.

And wastes no time before throwing the company into chaos and being adopted by 16-Year Old Sephiroth. Legally. With full approval from his mother. It's pure crack. I love it.

Just, go read it. You won't be disappointed.

They go through many different worlds, and Vanitas's character development is a delight to witness. And he's corrupting Sora. The pure boy is not pure anymore. He can now say "fuck".

...I originally wasn't going to put this one here, but fuck it. Chris, if you're reading this, your fic is an absolute masterpiece and people should know about it. Ahem. The basic premise of this fic is rather simple: The Union X Player is reincarnated as Sora. This fic happens during Castle Oblivion, where the memories of the Age of Fairy Tales slowly start to surface. And if Marluxia and Larxene just so happen to be regaining aspects from Lauriam and Elrena, well... The character interactions are on point, and made me love Marluxia even more. Damn it, Chris. You and Arya dragged me kicking and sreaming into the Church of Marluxia and I can't even complain.

Larxene and Zexion, as could be seen in MD, uhhh kind of don't really like each other. At all. Hate from first sight LOL but also not really? Not really genuine hate, more deep seated annoyance. They have an ongoing prank war that the Organization weathers with varying levels of grace.

That being said, they CAN get along should it be in both of their interests, the time they teamed up against Xigbar when he annoyed them both is something the Org Does Not Talk About.

Another thing that is explicitly Not Talked About is the Thing(TM) going on between Xaldin and Luxord. Do they hate each other? Are they best friends? Are they kissing in a broom cupboard when no one's around? Are they secretly plotting each other's demise? Who knows! And everyone else is not asking.

Goofy is very insightful in his own way, and when he has a "feeling" about something, it tends to be in your best interest to listen to it.

Goofy keeps pictures of his son Max in his munny pouch and is a little disappointed that he hasn't had any real opportunity to show them off.

Sora does not know Max exists. It's going to be very funny when he learns that he does.

Axel calls Saïx “Icy”, a holdover nickname from back when they were still Lea and Isa. It references how cold Isa had been before Lea wore him down with The Power of Friendship.

Roxas and Xion notice a lot more about their fellow Organization members than said members realize or would want.

🧐, 🛠️, and 🎢?

🧐 do you spend much time researching your stories?

Ohhhh yeah. I spend hours and hours diving into game lore because while the two KH AUs I have posted at present are pretty AU, I also try to keep them as canon compliant lore wise as I possibly can. I also need to frequently check what actually happened in game so I know what to change accordingly hahaha.

It’s like this for other fandom AUs as well, specifically fire emblem and FFXIV, who have sprawling and detailed lores that I’m constantly on the wikis looking at (jury’s out on if I’ll ever actually write out the aus I have for them though.)

🛠 what tools/programs/apps do you use to write?

For the What Makes a Heart series I use google docs/drive because even though I don’t like it very much it’s much more convenient for my betas. For every other AU I just use word and save to OneDrive, manually backing up to my computer every once in a while.

🎢 which of your fics would you call the wildest ride?

What Makes A Heart FOR SURE LMAO. I specifically think that the distant KH2 fic will be the wildest ride in the series, though seeing as I haven’t actually finished even the first fic yet, only time tell.

Do you have any MD headcanons that you are willing to share? Thank you :D

I have a whole bunch about a whole lot of different things! Some are specific to MD, others are just general HCs that I'm operating under for my series. In no particular order:

-Riku has never once won a game of Hide and Seek when Sora is seeker

-Even met his wife Martha during his years at University, because she worked in the school library for credits and he practically lived there.

-Even and Aeleus have been friends the longest out of all of the original six apprentices.

-Dilan and Aeleus are the second longest friends

-Ienzo's parents passed away in an accident when he was 5, and after being taken in as a Ward of the Crown by Ansem, ended up being (unofficially) adopted by Even and Martha.

-Ansem The Wise is legitimately a King and part of the Radiant Garden Royal Family. Or, well, what's left of it anyway.

-Kairi and her grandmother are ALSO part of the Royal Family, albeit a cadet branch, not the main line. Ansem is Kairi's Grandmother's nephew, and Kairi's uncle.

-Despite not being from the Main line, since Ansem has no heirs and Ienzo, being merely a ward, is not eligible for succession, Kairi is next in line and Crown Princess

-(though at this point Radiant Garden is probably better off with the Committee lol)

-Demyx is super observant and Recon is the only mission type he doesn't completely slack on, hence why it's the only mission type he gets solo

-Larxene does yoga

-Luxord Knows All(TM)

-Max (Goofy's son) exists! He's a young adult and works in Disney Castle as a part of the Guard and part times as a field researcher

-Donald (in direct opposition to his usual AI in game) is an accomplished medic and highly skilled. Likewise, he's a very good magic researcher

- When Marluxia couldn't find time to raid worlds for clothes for Naminé, he sent some Dusks. Whatever they brought back went into Naminé's "No Effort" drawer lmao.

I DID!!! FINALLY!! There was lots of fun funky formatting in this chapter that AO3 did not like at all lmao.
