was that minatozaki sana? Oh no no, that was just madoka kaname, a canon character from puella magi madoka magica. They are twenty two years old, use she/her, and are aware that they are not actually from Washington DC. Too bad they can’t stray from this city for long.

okay so i’m gonna give a little summary about madoka, spoilers for most of the show, and i’ll mark when i get into spoiler free personality/plot idea territory

so normal high school girl madoka hears a voice in her head asking for help. it’s kyubey, a cute little guy that i hate, who’s being hunted by homura

turns out kyubey can grant a wish in return for making girls magical girls, and they have to fight witches in return

madoka wants to become a magical girl but homura keeps trying to stop her. she doesn’t understand why

ultimately her best friend sayaka winds up becoming a magical girl to help this boy that she likes, but things quickly get bad for sayaka.

she discovers her soul is no longer a part of her body, and that all magical girls have their souls put into soul gems to keep them safe. they get mad at kyubey for not telling them but he doesn’t understand why

things just keep going downhill with the worst revelation that madoka has learned being that magical girls eventually turn into witches, and that they all eventually become the things they’re trying to protect people from

bigger spoilers now (yes it gets bigger)

madoka, without knowing it has been the center of a time loop homura is running to try and save madoka’s life. when they first met madoka was already a magical girl, using her wish to save the life of a cat, and homura ultimately made her wish to go back in time and try to save madoka

it hasn’t worked and as a result madoka has a pile of potential power as a maigcal girl

this does end in madoka becoming a god and essentially destroying herself to save all the other magical girls, but madoka does not know that currently, nor does she know about the time loop at all.

listen i play nice characters but this is someone who used her kindness to rewrite the entire universe to be a kinder and more gentle place. i am not fucking around here

okay less spoilerly more just personality territory!

a genuinely nice and good person! madoka can be a bit shy, and hesitant, but she wants to be good and genuinely works towards that

time and time again madoka looks at a world that is cruel and uncaring but says that it doesn’t matter because she knows mercy and hope and love

listen for all that the show is sad it’s also inherently hopeful and i think a lot of that is in madoka

she doesn’t have a lot of particular strengths like she’s fine academically but nothing special which kinda leads to this selfless need to help people which sometimes is good and sometimes is far too self sacrificing

she’s in college but doesn’t know what to major in and gets kinda discouraged struggling with her purpose

knows that magic and stuff is real and being in a city where it feels like everything is magical but her is gonna be rough

Stressed given the fact that the last time she aw her best friend she turned into a witch and she wants to go home

give her some friends!! she deserves them

Nayeon

"Im Nayeon!" Hearing you yell was unexpected, even more so when you used her full name, two things you never do.

"Im Nayeon!!" You yell a second time round, a demanding venom twinged in your voice. Nayeon knitted her eyebrows together with unexplained confusion. Your voice was heavy, enraged, frustrated even. Why? What's caused this?

And so, wanting to know, she got up and cautiously made her way to the bedroom, the room you've been yelling from… that and the fact that Nayeon is low-key afraid of you storming out of the room with a tight grudge.

She couldn't help but notice how her heart was racing at impossible speeds, her bloodstream acting like a malfunctioning slide. An undesirable emotion settles within her as she approaches.

"W-what's wrong baby?" She barely peered around the doorframe, her eyes just about greeting yours as you only groan. "Baby?" She speaks again, her words sounding severely tense.

"I can't do it" you whine, looking at the two objects in your hands, a screwdriver and a single nail. "I just- argh- can't get it to- argh- work"

Nayeon only watches, her entire self desteaming as a small smile graces her face. "Use a hammer" she stated as if it was the most obvious thing in the world, which it was.

"I-" you stare at her gobsmacked "I feel dumb.." you mumble loud enough for Nayeon to hear. "You're not dumb, just forgetful, everyone has these moments" she coos, coming to sit besides you "here, let me help you out"

Jeongyeon

"Yoo Jeongyeon! Where are you!?" Your voice seemed to echo around the house in a never ending loop of hunting. The escapee, otherwise known as Jeongyeon, had frustrated you yet again, setting you off on a rampage for revenge.

"Quick, hide me" Jeongyeon heaves, bursting into the younger members' room, knowing their room has more spots to hide than avoid.

"Uhm, why?"

"Can't do questions now, quickly~" Jeongyeon bounced around the room until Dahyun finally found her a reasonably good spot to take cover in, a small crook in the corner of her built-in wardrobe, perfect size for her.

Only seconds later you had burst into their room, demanding answers from whoever was willing to spill for her bribe, a free dinner at a restaurant of their choice. Not fair! Then again, Jeongyeon did just steal her girlfriend's oh so loved tteokbokki... But Jeongyeon loves it more so it only made sense for Jeongyeon to have it instead...

"We heard her in unnies room, don't know who's though.." Tzuyu remained calm, lying so bluntly to Y/n's face with zero remorse for the situation.

Hearing you run away had never settled her heart so fast, she's in the clear… for now.

Momo

"HIRAI MOMO!!" Momo couldn't help but shift in her seat slightly, feeling slightly awkward for the unreasonable outburst of her full name. "HIRAI MOMO! HIRAI MOMO!"

"Y/n, Jeez" Momo could only look at you though, not knowing how to inject her voice into your obnoxious yelling spree. "HIRAI MOMO!"

Still not knowing, minutes later, she just played a wild card, leading her to join the train of annoyance "LEE Y/N!! LEE Y/N!!!"

"HIRAI MOMO!"

"LEE Y/N!"

"HIRAI MOMO!"

"LEE Y/N!"

Your stupidly unreasonable actions had continued for a ridiculous amount of time after too, ensuring you both a sore throat very soon… oh! And some riled up neighbours to deal with next time they decide to present themselves at your front door in all their ugly glory.

Sana

"Minatozaki Sana!" You stormed into the living room, ignoring the weird glances you were receiving from the other members.

At first, Sana being Sana, she tried to make a run for it, crawling over the members that surrounded her on the couch inorder to escape… but was ultimately found crawling over Dahyun and Jihyo.

"She's like a T-rex, if I don't move she won't see me" Sana whispered to herself and the two she's currently squishing, but even that failed her. "Sana. Here. Now" you demanded, tapping your foot impatiently against the carpeted floors.

Once Sana was in front of you, she tried her trusty plan C, and with a little luck and mostly charm, she had succeeded.

"Aren't you a cutie!" She suddenly acted up, pulling at your cheeks and showing you off to the other uninterested members "Isn't MY girlfriend just the cutest?" To say you were more so embarrassed than angry was an understatement now, your cheeks flushing a royal red as you just walk out the room, forgetting why you even went in there.

Works every time.

Jihyo

"Park Jihyo!?" You exclaimed, having sent the woman on an immediate rescue mission as she hurriedly searched your house for you, playing a game of hot or cold with your voice.

"Park Jihyo!!" You yelled louder, more like screeching, encouraging the poor soul to run like a maniac till she finally found the room. Wasting no time, she swiftly opened the door, scurrying over to you. You were curled up on the floor, holding your right knee in pain.

"JiJi-" you pouted at her worried expression, her eyes examining your body quickly "What's wrong? Did you hurt yourself? How did you hurt yourself?" Questions flew out of her mouth faster than a missile from its launcher.

"Jihyo, I-I, ow" you cry out in pain, Jihyo's hands fly to yours in an attempt to comfort you. "Tell me, what happened?" She looked deeply into your eyes, searching your soul for the requited answer to her question.

"I-I fell…" you mumble some inaudible words after that "Pardon?" She cocks a brow. "I-I-I fell…." You mumble again, "one more time please" she smiles charmingly, rubbing small circles on the back of your hand.

"I fell for you Jihyo, oh my heart! PARK JIHYO, I FELL FOR YOU!!" You smile wickedly, ignoring the irritable look on her face. "I thought something bad happened to you" she sighed, rolling her eyes at your foolish mood.

"But it's true~ I fell for you, and I'll fall for you every day for the rest of our lives!"

"Is that a promise?"

"Yup!"

Mina

You could smell the distinct smell of her perfume flooding the household yet again, opening every window possible to release the overpowering stench into the wild. This happened more regularly than not, but this time it was like an extreme overdose. Your head was spinning and your lungs were spilling with overdone holy stenches, too much good is bad, making it unholy to an extreme extent on the spectrum.

"Myoui Mina!" You called out, covering your nose and mouth with your shirt, as if that even does anything. You've had talks about this before, but never have you called for Mina using her full name before. Mina went into immediate panic mode, why would you use her full name like this? So abruptly too, is she in trouble?

"Mina, what were you doing today?" Having been at work and her having the week off means unpredictable returns home, just yesterday she was welcoming you with warm hugs and sweet kisses, now it's the poisoning of stench? "I'm sorry y/n, I have a blocked nose and I really can't smell anything" she hung her head. "I just wanted to smell something other than nothing"

Sighing, you brought Mina into a warm hug, kissing her forehead when you pull back, a small giggle releases from her cheeks and a royal flush sprawls across her pale cheeks.

Dahyun

"Kim Dahyun!" You exclaimed from the kitchen, aggressively slamming the fridge door shut for a reason Dahyun couldn't possibly know..

You stormed your way into the living room where a certain thief was resting their hard working body and easing their genius of a brain. Your flaming eyes settled on the girl you treasure so dearly, hatred filled the glass circles but love overpowered it every time… except this time.

Dahyun had no idea what she was getting herself into this time and quite frankly, neither did you. Dahyun had only stolen your phone, eaten your lunch and last night she had the audacity to warm up both sides of your pillow. Best to say you weren't all too happy about that.

"Here we go again" Dahyun mumbled under her breath, not realising the consequences of her actions to their full extent. She expectantly crossed her arms, waiting for your small rant and progressively annoying demand for payback, whether she agreed or not was always another thing.

"What's wrong with you!" You hadn't actually thought of what to say, words just spilling from your lush lips with no clarification from your brain or heart. Your hands clenching like tight fists of flames and your body stiff like hardened clay.

Dahyun had never really seen this.. your… you, this angry. This is her mistake, her problem to fix.

Chaeyoung

"Son Chaeyoung~" you whined, slumping down next to the latter with a huff, a dissatisfied frown on your face.

Chaeyoung's eyes only lingered on you, confused? Surely. Curious? Indefinitely. You've only ever called her by her full name when joking around with her members, but since they were nowhere to be seen and you clearly weren't in the joking manner, it's got Chaeyoung confused.

"What's up?" She asked hesitantly, not sure if she was willingly entering the start of what could be a next world war. However, without receiving a wanted answer, it drew her closer to the situation. "What?" She asked yet again.

"Nothing.." you only grumbled, getting up to walk away, only to be stopped by Chaeyoung grasping your wrist in desperation. "Tell me, please y/n. It'll drive me insane otherwise"

She watched you pause to think, eyes never leaving the soul of each other. You eventually spoke a singular word, a word with no context but she knew right away what you meant.

Chaeyoung immediately tugged at your wrist, pulling you back down to the couch as she comfortably snuggled into your side. The word "hug" has its fair share of power, it's the word used most between the two of you.

Tzuyu

"Chou Tzuyu" You spoke, standing at the archway between your kitchen and living room, your lips tightened and eyes glazed. You looked sterner than a tree stump, serious like a child's parent.

It would be a lie to say Tzuyu wasn't half heartbroken, she just couldn't help the sinking of her heart, the roots of her veins shriveling in heartbreak. Chou Tzuyu? It felt like you were stabbing her with a sharpened dagger, using such words to show a sense of capitalism between you two, two easy leveled humans.

Tzuyu could only hum, afraid to speak because of this. "Did you know?" Your voice was even consistent with reinforced iron and pallets of red diamonds. "Know what?"

"So you didn't?" You sigh, your shoulders unbundled from their statue-like position, cracking and freeing the loose joints within. "That's a relief"

Upon seeing you unwind suddenly, it caused her to do the same, allowing her to release a breath she didn't even know she was holding up until now. "Wait- what? Did I know what?"

"Oh, it's nothing. Don't sweat it" you smiled innocently at her. Little did Tzuyu know, you only acted that way to get a reaction, to see what could make her nervous.
