Hello, I’m back! Here is the set of buy mode hiders that I had been working on, but never completed. Despite that, I had made a lot of headway through several of the packs, so I felt like it was a waste not to post them. Hopefully I haven’t missed anything! But before you download, here’s how to use these files ~

What this mod doesn’t do …

Hide any CC, such as recolors, that use these meshes or files. They will appear as normal.

Delete, hide, or make invisible anything that has already been placed, or is included with premade lots such as ones from the Gallery.

Delete any files from your game or computer. It just hides them!

What this mod will conflict with …

Anything that replaces or overrides the same items that are included in this file.

An easy way to tell if you have conflicting mods is to run the Package Conflict Detector program which will easily tell you if there’s a problem.

How do I unhide something?

Open the .package file in Sims4Studio to double-check it’s the item you want to keep. (optional)

Delete the .package file.

The item will now be displayed in the build / buy catalog again.

How do I unhide only certain swatches of something?

Method 1:

Open the .package file in Sims4Studio.

Click on the swatch you want to unhide and click “Remove Swatch” in the upper right hand corner.

Remember to save!

The item will now be displayed in the build / buy catalog again.

Method 2:

This method is slightly more complex, but this is normally what I use as it allows me to change the categories, tags, price, etc. on the item as if it were CC. It will appear in your game with the CC mark on it. It also means if you would like to return to hiding the file, you can just delete the cloned file instead of redownloading this mod to get the full hider to use again.

Open Sims4Studio.

Under the “Object” section, select “Standalone Recolor”.

Find the object you wish to keep. You can type the item’s title in the search bar to find it easily. Click the thumbnail, then click “Next” on the bottom right.

Type a title for the .package file and click “Save”.

You will be taken to a screen where you can freely edit the object’s title, description, price, categories, tags, etc. You can delete the swatches you don’t want on the top bar.

Click on the swatch(es) you don’t want and click “Remove Swatch” in the upper right hand corner.

Remember to save!

The cloned item will now be displayed in the build / buy catalog along with your customizations.

All right, this took a few days to compile and I'm hoping it is complete as of the Crystal Creations Stuff Pack (or today's date whichever is easier to remember). I plan to update this as new skills become available and will then post the date at the top of this post.

Notes about this list: - I did not include hidden skills - I have tested this on a completely new, mod-free save. - Most of the skills were tested using skill books, but a few required an object to learn. {For example for my teen to learn writing it required the journal. Not sure if the computer would work or not) - All children skills were obtained at skill lvl 1 for Creativity, Mental, Motor, and Social. Some of you could remember pre-totalitarian clouds floating above the lot in the base game... until the Maxis broke it in Seasons EP.

Years ago I have understood a bit about the structure of the Effects.package file, so I managed to return them into the game, and even made several innovations and discoveries.

Finally:

1. The lot clouds controller (misc.) - the hemisphere, that disappears in the Live mode (as it works in the totalitarian sky). It launches daytime clouds during the day, and night clouds at night time. In the base game there is a common effect for all lot sky effects (skybox fx + sun fx + clouds fx etc.), that switch all of them at the night automatically. The lot sky holder effect was changed in EP5, so there is no way at this time to restore it in original way without destroying the EP5 effections, so, I find the best way - the BHAV-based controller, that works in the similar way.

UPD: also look at the @lazyduchess global edit launches the clouds on any lot without buying a controller manually! Texture file from this post is still required

2. The rain clouds textures - when I tried to dig out the effects in the game files, I discover, that maxis had made the rain clouds effect directly for EP5, but then leave it unused. Why they destroyed clouds? What kind of fail was arrived during the development EP5? I don’t know. But in fact, when the weather on lot is overcast, the clouds automatically turned into rainclouds (sadly, only top clouds, distant clouds will still white). 

The texture file is absolutely required for the mod, because the original rain cloud texture was cut away from the final game, so the storm produces the cringy flakes of NOTEX:

3. The optional default replacement for the basegame cloud textures, based on the dust version (zombie cloud from EP01). It looks nice under the overcast skies (totalitarian or not, they are fully compatible, btw). And suited well with the dark dust rain texture.

4. The Neighborhood effects: there are lot sky effect holder for lots (either day with nice blue skybox and sun, or night with moon and stars, will switch with “L”-button) and separated day and night floating cloud enviroment can be placed in neighborhood view. As far as automaticall changing it in fx-based or bhav-based ways are impossible, cloud effects should be replaced manually - but it's not a burden, just one object per map is enough. The weather reaction works fine. NOTE: unlike the Totalitarian Sky, these should be placed in the center of the map.

5. The neighborhood effect: static cloud (umh, non-floating?). Such a cinematic effect, more for show-off than for actual long-time gameplay. The previous option launch the groups of clouds, distant and top, that float above the map, that real clouds do. This option cast the standalone cloud, as basegame Nhood cloud, that use the fixed point to arrive. It useful to be placed in a row so it can be COOL dynamic overcast sky YAY!!!! There are the low and high versions. Sadly, contains no night versions (but it isn’t too hard to do it, really).

The ‘Unholy’ Collection for Collectibles

Tired of vacationing to Granite Falls three times a year to collect what might be in-season at the time? How many visits to Sixam does one need to make? I have been doing even *more* digging around in the tuning files lately, trying new (to me) things and attempting to challenge myself a bit more in that area…

This is one of the results - A One-Stop-Shoppe for ALL your collectable needs, plus one 'extra’ category, for a total of 28 categories, as I am more fond of the number 28 than I am 27 (which is how many different collections there currently are in Sims 4) (I added a 'Swag’ category for purchasing anything that one could at any of the various festivals). I originally had tried out four different shopping list methods in a much more sprawling shopping mod, and ended up using two of those four for these…

I tried to give a wide variety of options for one to use, choosing an item from each of five different packs for you to choose from (I own all packs *except* for Laundry Day, myself). You can choose from: The RW Cash Register from EP01, a choice of any of the four EP03 festival stalls, the Vet Clinic Check-In screen from EP04 (I changed the color of two of the swatches), a 'dumbed-down' (read: not useable as such) Vault Door from EP06 (with an additional white swatch), or the GP07 Curio Stand (no crazy lights but a broken TV screen inside the shop)… There is an essential, separate tuning file that is required to be able to use these - just plop it in any directory and you will be good-to-go! The tunings are of my own creation - I didn’t utilize anyone else’s tunings as a base as I had done once before, in a pinch (of course not taking any credit for that one). I looked around and could only find one mod that was somewhat close - the 'Online Utilities System’ - but with only five of the 27 categories, and of course for years my personal hero modder @coolspear has had several different mods to be able to purchase items, but each on its own category.

You are presented with a purchasing menu for each category, can choose as many of any item as one desires, and the shopping menu is 'smart’ in that it will tell you how many of any item you already have in your inventory. As usual, there is a minor 'fly in the ointment’ with the menus, as the methodology that I used allows for the 'rig’ items of some items to be offered - they simply show up as 'Debug’ without any icon picture to show what they are. Simply ignore them, as they are of no value. Additionally, I 'beefed up’ a few of the categories to include additional items that may not otherwise have been displayed. The medals from GP07 show up along with the 'Elements’ as they have a similar tag in them… Find by either searching 'minimo’ or 'Collection’, all have my custom thumbnail.
