Origin of chimichanga
Tumblr media
Chimichanga is a deep-fried burrito that is common in Tex-Mex and other Southwestern U.S. cuisine. The dish is typically prepared by filling a flour tortilla with various ingredients, most commonly rice, cheese, beans, and a meat such as machaca (dried meat), carne adobada (marinated meat), carne seca (dried beef), or shredded chicken, and folding it into a rectangular package. It is then deep-fried, and can be accompanied by salsa, guacamole, sour cream, or carne asada..
Origin
The origin of the chimichanga is uncertain. By some accounts, it originated in Mexico, in others, by accident in Arizona, United States. Given the variant chivichanga, mainly employed in Mexico, one derivation indicated that immigrants to the United States brought the dish with them, mainly through Sonora into Arizona. The words chimi and changa come from two Mexican Spanish terms: chamuscado (past participle of the verb chamuscar), which means seared or singed, and changa, related to chinga (third-person present tense form of the vulgar verb chingar), a rude expression for the unexpected or a small insult.
According to one source, Monica Flin, the founder of the Tucson, Arizona, restaurant El Charro, accidentally dropped a burrito into the deep-fat fryer in 1922. She immediately began to utter a Spanish profanity beginning "chi..." (chingada), but quickly stopped herself and instead exclaimed chimichanga, a Spanish equivalent of "thingamajig". Knowledge and appreciation of the dish spread slowly outward from the Tucson area, with popularity elsewhere accelerating in recent decades. Though the chimichanga is now found as part of the Tex-Mex cuisine, its roots within the U.S. are mainly in Tucson, Arizona.
Woody Johnson, founder of Macayo's Mexican Kitchen, claimed he had invented the chimichanga in 1946 when he put some burritos into a deep fryer as an experiment at his original restaurant Woody's El Nido, in Phoenix, Arizona. These "fried burritos" became so popular that by 1952, when Woody's El Nido became Macayo's, the chimichanga was one of the restaurant's main menu items. Johnson opened Macayo's in 1952. Although no official records indicate when the dish first appeared, retired University of Arizona folklorist Jim Griffith recalls seeing chimichangas at the Yaqui Old Pascua Village in Tucson in the mid-1950s

Gujiya
GUJIYA  -traditional sweet that heals taste buds
Gujiyas are sweet dumplings made of maida or flour and filled with a delightful khoya and dry fruits mixture and are popularly made in Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. Deep fried in ghee and dipped in a sugary syrup, this Indian dessert is commonly made during the festival of Holi. The crisp outer layer cracks in the mouth for the sweet filling to take on your senses. Today, there are many versions of the gujiya available with different fillings such as dry fruit gujiya, mawa gujiya and even healthier ones like baked gujiyas, but nothing beats the timeless classic.
Indian moms shape these dumplings with all their love during festive times, it really tastes amazing. It looks very attractive as it is having the shape of half moon, the littles ones in the family have a strong craving for this.
If cooked perfectly, gujiya can last for many days as it is a dry sweet. I still remember the day when I ate gujiya for the first time, it was too yummy I ordered it from MOMSKART-handcrafted by the moms of India. CHA anyone?  yes that is what we call chai(tea) nowadays
this is the most common and expected question that is asked to us or we ask to someone else and not to our surprise the answer to this question is always a big yes!
all the chai(tea) lovers will relate to this
Tumblr media
chai (tea) is something that is loved by most of the people, I mean you never hear someone saying no to tea. if we talk about the tea trend in India, it goes like the moment guests arrive to your place you ask them whether they will have tea or not, if someone has come home and looks tired, he/she is asked the question. do you want tea? or have some tea it will help yo with all the tiredness, having a headache? have some tea! it will soothe your mind. so basically in India tea is the ultimate solution to any problem and that is why so many tea lovers exist around us, be it evening chit chats with your friends or be it work breaks at your job, tea compliments with everything.
tea is very basic but it definitely of different types. the most popular tea among Indians is MASALA tea and GREEN tea. masala means a mixture of spices and when it is added to tea it gives a different flavor and keeps the body warm (specially consumed during winters) whereas green tea is consumed and hailed for its health benefits. other than these two flavors there are more of them such as chocolate, cinnamon, ginger, caramel, cranberry, lemon, mint, vanilla etc. each flavor has its own taste and different from each other
tea itself tastes so pleasing to us, now imagine that the tea we consume is grown at our home.
Tumblr media
obviously the taste will be much better and we will be sure of its authenticity. now the question is that we may not get time foe this because we are to busy with our lives and so MOMSKART has the solution for you. it brings you the different flavors of home grown teas. we all understand and value the home made products and momskart totally understands that. so it has some great flavors of tea to satisfy your taste-buds that are hundred percent home grown by the moms of India.
some of the flavors are black tea, Darjeeling tea (oh this one here rules them all), flavor tea, green tea, ice tea, lavender flower and nettle, masala teahttps://www.themomskart.com/categorypage/16. these are not only one of the best flavors but they are also home grown with love.

Chocolate- that makes your heart melt
Hey ! wait a minute... Are you sad ? I have a solution.. Are you angry ? I have solution for this too .. Wanna give suprise gift to someone special? The solution is same.. Wanna celebrate the moment ? Yet the solution will be same.. And the solution is THE CHOCOLATE specially made by moms❤
Tumblr media
Yes its true now you can order and get your personalised chocolates with safe and contactless delivery made specially by moms of india for you . you can order it by visiting the site of momskart . Chocolate is amongst those sweet treats that is available all over the world and is recognised by the same name. It comes in different flavours but there are 3 basic floavours that are moulded into different tastes by adding more ingredients like essence , fruit pulp , food colour etc. The 3 basic flavours are mentioned below: • DARK CHOCOLATE This type of chocolate can be classified with its dark brown color it self , it is also known as black or semi sweet chocolate because of its more bitter less sweet quality. Most high-quality, dark chocolate does not contain added dairy and can be a great vegan-friendly chocolate. The lack of dairy and less sugar gives dark chocolate firmer texture than milk chocolate or white chocolate.  This is why a well-tempered piece of dark chocolate will have a nice snap when broken in half. • MILK CHOCOLATE This type of chocolate is loved by all of us since our childhood .With its light brown color, creamy texture, and sweet flavor, milk chocolate is widely regarded as the most popular type of chocolate. Just break off a piece of milk chocolate and let the aroma fill the air. Experience the cherishable fragrance of caramelized sugar, vanilla, chocolate, and dairy. Then at last take a bite and let the flavor fill your mouth. • WHITE CHOCOLATE This chocolate type can be classified with the name itself that denotes that this chocolate is white in colour and full of sweetness. A good quality white chocolate has a soft , creamy and rich texure. But in comparison to dark and milk choclate it is more delicate and difficult to get moulded . White chocolate is unique because it does not contain any cocoa solids. The cocoa solids are what give chocolate it’s dark brown color and chocolatey taste that we all know and love.

A crunchy sweet bite - "Chikki"
Chikki is a traditional Indian sweet candy made of peanuts and jaggery. It is one of the most loved sweet snack across india, it is also known for its nutritional and energy-boosting properties.
The Jaggery Peanut Chikki is a quick and easy-to-make traditional Indian recipe. Chikki’s are a very popular as a snack and dessert in India; almost every town has its own variation of the recipe. This much-loved classic is a sure way to put a smile on anyone’s face.
Peanut Chikki is the Indian version of Peanut Brittle. It’s a staple in Indian homes during winters and one of my personal favorite. My mom also used to make chikki during winters.
Ever since I can remember, I have been obsessed with chikki. I would wait for winters every year so that I could get to eat this peanut chikki.
This also reminds me of an incident many years back. My mom knew how much I loved peanut chikki so whenever she would go to market during winters, she would get some for everyone but she would get like 2 extra blocks for me. I would hide them in my room so that my brothers don’t see it. Moms are truly the best, aren’t they? They just know what you want even when you don’t say it.

Namak Para
visit: https://www.themomskart.com/
Namak para, also nimki or nimkin is a crunchy savoury snack eaten in the Indian Subcontinent. It is also referred as Mathri sometimes in some parts of Punjab and Uttar Pradesh. Namak para is ribbon-like strips of pastry delicately seasoned with ajwain and cumin seeds in pure ghee or any oil.
Tumblr media
The name has nothing to do with the snack. It is not at all  made up with salt or somethings like that its just it has a flavor of slat in it. when I first heard the name I really thought it would be somethings made up of salt LOL!!!
The main ingredient is all purpose flour, cooking oil, salt and ajwain. It have a very neutral flavor and is very mild.  It is a bit slow process as these paras needs to be deep fried and also cutting these shapes takes a bit time.
lets have look at the recipe of these.
INGREDIENTS
4 cup wheat flour / atta
1 tsp ajwain / carom
½ tsp salt
3 tbsp oil
oil for frying
INSTRUCTIONS
firstly, in a large mixing bow take wheat flour .
also add 1 tsp ajwain, ½ tsp pepper and ½ tsp salt. mix well.
now pour hot ghee/oil over the flour. this helps to make namak pare crispy.
crumble the oil with dough well. rub with your hands. be careful as the oil will be very hot.
now add water slowly and start to knead the dough.
knead the dough well, until form stiff and tight dough.
pinch a large ball. flatten them as you do with chapathi ball.
now dust some wheat flour, roll them into round / square shape making slightly thick than chapathi.
Tumblr media
take a knife / pizza cutter and cut them into long strips or shape of your choice.
drop the namak pare into the hot oil. or bake in preheated oven at 180-degree celsius for 15-20 minutes.
flip over so that it cooks on both sides.
fry them to nice golden brown on low-medium flame. drain them on a kitchen towel to remove excess oil.
finally, allow namak pare to cool to room temperature and store them into an airtight container.
It seems easy to make but whats more easier is to order it from momskart.

As it is clearly seen that the localities of our country are covered with various kinds of waste and garbage. Though the Delhi Jal Board (DJB) is the authority responsible for planning, execution, designing of water supply and wastewater and sewage management within its jurisdiction in the National Capital Territory of Delhi but no results has been seen in the treatment of these sewages. In a major push towards conserving water and replenishing alarmingly dropping groundwater levels, Delhi Jal Board (DJB approved a policy for enforcing decentralised waste water treatment systems across the capital). “Bulk users such as parks, schools, commercial complexes, industries and bigger institutions will be required to install  Decentralised sewage treatment plants (DSTPs). They will initially provide economic incentives but eventually it will be made mandatory,” a senior government official said. DJB will now give 90% rebate on sewer charges for those using such plants for water recycling.  Drainage systems and its maintenance, if neglected, could pose a threat in both community and healthcare causing infections as well as emergence of multi-resistant bacteria that could cause unpredictable clinical manifestations. So it is the duty of each and every resident of the locality to do regular inspection on the sewage treatment of their localities so as to avoid danger . and if found any problem then it must be reported to the authorities immediately. Hence such step should be take firstly from one’s home so that later, people can join hands to make it a better place and overcome this obstacle.
