It had been around two weeks since the death of Procyon, and a little longer since Shikuro's last meeting with the horrid man. Since then, life had been going pretty well for him.

Stein's lab was becoming a little more comfortable as time passed. He wasn't entirely used to staying somewhere that wasn't full of sand or rough cement yet, but he was getting there.

He still spied the occasional raccoon, but he brushed it off easily enough. The creature were probably just going by habit now that their master was dead. He wouldn't let it bother him.

He had more important things to bother with. For instance, he hadn't seen Mocha since the robbery of his café. It seemed important to check in on his friend after all thst had happened.

"Hey, Mocha!" He walked into the building one calm afternoon. "How's it going?"

Considering that it’s been three years and this kid was already probably around the same age as Liam was when the boys killed the Moriartys, I wouldn’t be surprised if this becomes An Issue later on.

Like say this kid (Evan?) is 13-15 now, which in the Moriverse is definitely old enough to have a vendetta and the skill to carry it out. Imagine he never believed William died, and has been using the title and resources he presumably inherited to track all of William’s known associates. He knows Albert is in prison, he knows Louis has been officially cleared of any wrongdoing (he does not know about MI6, he’s using basically standard private investigators and they don’t go that deep.) And when William comes back, he finds out in short order.

I think this would be a nice opportunity for William to show that he really is determined now to live. Because an armed child on a quest for vengeance that Liam completely understands and empathizes with would be a perfect excuse for Liam to dip out on life. It would be an chance to die without actually killing himself. And what else should he have done? It’s not like he was going to kill this child!

So if, instead of letting the kid shoot/stab him, he maneuvers a way to knock the boy out and capture him, it really reaffirms his decision to live.

And the boy wakes on the couch in 221B, alone with Sherlock Holmes. And he screams and cries and rages at this man who was supposed to be light, supposed to be the hero, who let that monster live.

I have a couple of ideas of where it could go from there but goshdarn it all my little theorizing/meta/headcanon-y posts lately want to turn into giant semi-fic things and I’m just not having it tonight. 🤣

Arcturus was a little excited, but also nervous.

Excited because he gets to swordfight again, managed to get the day off so now he's taking advantage of it and using it to practice.

Nervous because he's going to be practicing with Mori, someone who he doesn't know all too well and is never sure what they're think or if they're mad at Arcturus in any way.

Well.. They said yes to meeting up today.. So.. Surely they don't hate me.... Right?

He was already there at the place, dress is light flowing clothes and is absolutely ready to get his ass kicked from being so rusty on swordfighting.

Stein sighed as he exited his bedroom, clad in a loose t shirt, sweats, and a damp towel around his neck. He was tired, but at least he was clean now that he was home. That shower at the very least put his mind a bit at ease.

The thought of that freaks blood even touching him made him sick.

He brushed some damp hair out of his eyes before hearing a thumping sound. For a moment he thought some random machine in the lab was malfunctioning before he realized the sound was coming from the spare room where Shikuro was staying.

... Right. He still needs to tell Shirkuro about Procyon. It was only fair that he know too.

Holding his breath, he reluctantly stepped towards the door and lifted his hand. After a moment of great hesitation, he sighed in defeat and knocked a few times.

"Shikuro? Do you have a moment?"

Anis was NOT having fun.

It was so BORING, being alone in the apartment all day.

So what else was she supposed to do but sneak out and learn about this world and it’s citizens? So long as it wasn’t after curfew she couldn’t get in trouble right?

The rooftops also had a special post-apocalyptic feel to them, and if she found any scraps she could try to CRESTROY them to see what would happen. So far shiny and non shiny things seemed to work the same as back home, which was good.

Anis skipped alongside the rooftop of one building over to some windows to apartments, looking inside them. A family, some messy guy- oh that person was sick, yikes- and…? Anis squinted through the window.

They don't have a vehicle... Theres also the issue with Anis... Shit, I can't leave work now.

He found himself pacing all around his office, passing his calendar with rats for the images. Their pace was getting quicker. Noah needed to hurry.

"It might be best to call 911 or an ambulance, But you might want to try and fabricate some kind of story or else you might get into trouble." He warned, keeping his voice low.
