Tipp: ABEMEDA - Datenarchierung für digitale Dokumente

Seit vielen Jahren ist “abeMeda” (zuvor “CD Winder”) ein Programm, welches ich nahezu täglich benutze. Als Designer erzeuge ich eine große Menge von Daten (derzeit 426 Daten DVDs). Sie landen zuerst auf der Festplatte, dann eine Kopie auf Blueray-DVD (25/50 GB) sowie eine Kopie auf einer externen Festplatte.

Mit dem Programm kann man ein Abbild der Dateinamen (auch kleine Vorschauen für Bilddaten) erzeugen. Wichtig und genial ist die “Suchfunktion” mit Stichworten/Schlagworten. Normalerweise kann ich in wenigen Sekunden ermitteln, wo sich eine Kopie bestimmter Projektdaten befindet. Bsp.: “Spanienreise_4_2019″, Bilder befinden sich auf DVD 411 BR (Blue Ray).

(Sinnvoll ist es natürlich, sich grundsätzlich bei der Vergabe von Dateinamen für “Projekte” oder bestimmte Dokumentenarten/-gruppen Gedanken zu machen, damit die Suche zügig und erfolgreich verläuft).

Ich kann jedenfalls das geniale Tool und den Support des Entwicklers nur bestens weiterempfehlen. Man kann es ja auch für einige Tage bzw. mit Einschränkungen kostenfrei testen.

NeoFinder habe ich für den Macintosh installiert und bin ebenso sehr zufrieden damit.
