He thinks he's got a cold or something. Which was good because it probably wouldn't last long but not great because he felt crappy. And no one was here to cuddle with him. He grabs some tissues off the nightstand, blowing his nose. It must sound terrible because both Jason and Cerberus are coming in shortly. "Wow," Jason says. "You look terrible." Nico pouts. "Gee, thanks." Jason disappears for a moment and comes back with medicine and tea.

This time, Jason comes to check on him. "Okay, let's get you propped up," he says. "And hydrated." He hands Nico a glass of water and a few pills. Nico takes them without asking, letting Jason basically manhandle him into a sitting position but still tucked in. "I think they have some soup that we can heat up," Jason adds. "You feeling alright other than that?" Nico just shrugs. He's got a headache, though he thinks one of the pills was a pain reliever.

Nico didn’t think he’d be going to the market today, but that was fine. Instead, he was probably just going to spend the day in bed trying not to feel like death warmed over. Nico set the bottle of water aside and took the mug of tea Jason offered him. He wasn’t sure if he was getting a cold or something more serious like the flu, but either way he just felt pretty shitty. He didn’t particularly want to be in bed all day, especially not when he could be doing things like visiting Will or helping out with the chores around the house. Nico rubbed his face, digging his palms into his eyes until he saw stars.

Who is the big spoon/little spoon? Jason likes tothinks he’s the big spoon but really he just likes to cuddle Nico when he getsthe chance and most mornings they wake up with Nico’s arm and leg thrown overJason’s or Nico like, shoving Jason into the wall because Jason just kicks somuch and dreams so wildly should Nico be concerned?

Favourite (non-sexual) activity? You mean besidesNico stealing Jason’s glasses and making a skeleton run around with them whenhe’s annoyed at Jason okay I’m sorry I’ll stop with the skeleton jokes as ifNico could be annoyed with Jason lol Probably watching the movies becauseNico absolutely loves the cinema and 3D reminds Jason of flying and he lovesfor others to be able to experience it as well, so whenever they get a chancethey watch movies, and if they get to go on a trip they get loads of popcornand soda and binge watch like two or three movies. Teaming up or teamingagainst each other during capture the flag is pretty fun too!

Who uses all the hot water in the morning? Nico is amore private person in general so he showers when there is pretty much no onearound, but he likes to enjoy the hot water and the warmth and everything,after being stuck in the labyrinth and Tartarus he enjoys simple pleasures andfreedom all the more, really. Jason is more used to showering when others arearound and doesn’t mind chatting while showering so I imagine if they everlived together, he’d might want to join Nico, not even in a sexy way, just toshare the shower and chat and Nico is progressively less and less shy aroundJason so it doesn’t really even phase him after a few years of them beingtogether.

What they order from take out? Nico loves everythingfried and Jason just, doesn’t understand that (how do you get from barely eating to just craving deep fried butter??)but they agree on fluffy thick pancakes with lots of syrup and pizza. Jasonalso likes smoothies, even the green, healthy, vegetable onesand just tries to eat more veggies in general he likes the crunch but healso says it’s because of watching Nico devour all that fried food.

What is the most trivial thing they fight over? WhenNico visits the Roman camp without telling Jason, because he wanted to seeeveryone too! (Or just disappearing to go visit a friend without even tellingJason or without leaving a note when they were travellingand establishing all the shrines and temples.) Sometimes they bicker aboutarchitecture/history and nerd stuff, especially video games. Nico has played them all, okay he knows his stuff,Jason. They both agree Captain America is cool though.

Who does most of the cleaning? If they are not atcamp, they usually travel a lot, so there isn’t much cleaning to do, but Nicoreally cares about interior design so he tends to like to keep things kindatidy. Jason likes homey, lived in places and also had way more clean duty atthe Roman camp than Nico, so he doesn’t really enjoy it that much.

Who calls up the super/landlord when the heat’s notworking? I think it would be more Jason because Nico probably curls up into aball of blankets and tea or distantly thinks of shadow travelling away whileJason just wants his boyfriend to be comfortable and happy also his nose is freezing off what’s happening? He’s always politethough while Nico tends to curse a bit more but not actually move because hefound warmth and he’s keeping it get hereJason.

Who steals the blankets? Jason tries to, when he’sasleep, though mostly, he just kicks them off without knowing, and listen, Nicodidn’t go through Tartarus to have his blanket stolen, okay? He will tie you tothe bed if he has to.

Who leaves their stuff around? I’d say Jason does,more often, because important things Nico tends to always keep on him, becausehe’s just ready to be swept into some bad shit at any moment, to be honest,while Jason tends to forget like, the most basic things at random places. Likehis glasses. Jason you can’t see properlywithout them, how do you forget them? Or he leaves his one shoe somewhereand has no idea where it went. How doesthis happen. Why. Nico was it you? Nicowith Jason’s glasses on his face: No.

Who remembers to buy the milk? I feel like they bothtend to forget, but Jason was in charge of a whole camp at one point so heprobably keeps things like that in mind more often, while Nico just figuresthat if he forgot he can always get it somehow.

Who remembers anniversaries? Jason because he’s sappylike that, let’s be real and Nico finds it very endearing, also Jason isprobably pretty easy to please on a daily basis? Little things can really makehis day and while Nico tends to be a bit bewildered at first by all theattention Jason pays him, but it warms his heartincredibly as well. Nico also makes it a point to remember important things,like Jason’s birthday because he wants him to know he is important to Nico,too.

"I can take care of myself," Nico pouts, but he honestly loves when Will takes care of him. Will hums, pulling Nico into a hug. "I've missed you so much. It was good being with Mama, but I'm not sure I'd have been able to stay there longer without seeing you." NIco nods. "I've missed you, too. Think I probably drove Jason crazy with it." Will smiles. Tea crawls into Will's lap, nuzzling between him and Nico. "Hey, princess. I missed you, too." He kisses her head. "What about my kiss?" Nico asks.

“You don’t have to take care of me, you know,” Nico said quietly. “I know it’s a lot of work.” Will kissed the top of his head. “I know. But I want to. I like helping. It makes me feel useful, knowing I can do something that matters.” Nico hummed and shifted a bit, letting himself get more comfortable. Nico felt a lot better already, having Will there. That nap had been the first time in weeks that Nico hadn’t had a nightmare, or at least a bad dream. It was nice.

“Me, too. Though I’ve been doing okay.” Will smiles. They cuddle for a bit, exchanging soft, sleepy kisses. Will’s warm and cuddly, Nico’s favorite, and it’s all so perfect. Tea’s curled up on Will’s pillow, happy that he’s back. “So what do you want to do tonight?” Nico asks. The horniness is coming back with each kiss and Will’s hands are settled nicely on his hips. “Jason’s gone.” Will laughs. “I’m still not letting you suck my dick until the stitches are out.” Nico pouts. “I have another idea.”

“Oh, yeah?” Will said with a snort. Nico hummed and nodded. Will couldn’t even begin to put into words how much he had missed this. Nico’s smile and his laugh and his sultry words. The way his body fit so perfectly against Will’s, and the way Will could fall asleep so much faster when he could feel Nico’s heartbeat. It had been good to visit his mom and his family, but now he was home. Nico was his home. Will kissed Nico’s forehead again as Nico pouted at him. He must’ve missed whatever Nico had said to him. “Sorry, got caught up in how cute you were. What was that?” Will asked.

Will smiles, hanging up once he's sure Nico's asleep. He misses Nico a ton, but he's glad he's here with his mom. She doesn't look sick like he remembers, but it's clear that she's not feeling well. She was napping often and getting so many tests. Kayla was helping out with the bakery. Michael and his wife were coming to visit. Will's anxiety was high all the time, but it helped knowing Nico was doing fairly okay. "Doing okay, buddy?" Lee asks, opening his arms for a hug. Will accepts. "Yeah."

"How's he doing?" Lee asks when Will comes out of his room. "He's okay. Missing me, though." Lee nods. He's honestly a little surprised at how well Will's doing without Nico around. Will sets his phone down, letting Lee hug him. "He'll be fine. Jason and Piper are there. And he's got Daisy and Tea." Will hums. "I know." Lee rubs Will's back. "You'll be back there soon, buddy. But I know Mama's glad you came to visit." Will nods. "Do you think they'll figure it out soon? What's wrong with her?"

“I hope so,” Lee said. Will nodded and chewed his lip. He was tired too, but the time zone meant he probably shouldn’t go to sleep right now if he didn’t want to be up at what would be entirely too early tomorrow morning. Will sent a goodnight text to Nico, hoping it wouldn’t wake his boyfriend up when he was trying to sleep. He really hoped Nico wouldn’t have any nightmares. It would kill him if he couldn’t be there to comfort Nico when he woke up screaming in the middle of the night. Will sighed softly and turned to look at his mom. “Hey, Mama,” Will said softly. “How’re you doing?”

They were all quiet for a while, but then Lee spoke up, “So... what exactly happened to him? I know Will’s having trouble processing it all, but he hasn’t really told us anything that’s happened.” Piper and Jason shared a look. How much should they tell? “He’s just... been through hell and back,” Jason said. Lee nodded. He understood. It wasn’t really his business, he was just curious. “I hope they can get some rest,” he said. “I know Will hasn’t been doing great lately.”

QLee smiles, looking at his brother sleeping. Since Nico had woken up, Will hasn’t been any less calm. If anything, he seems more anxious. Lee had found him making tea last night, and he wasn’t able to sleep today though it was clear he’s exhausted. So it’s nice to see him sleeping now. “Does he talk to you guys about what happened?” Lee asks. “I wish I could help him more.” It hurts to see Will so torn up about this. Piper nods. “It’s hard for all of us. Thank you for helping us.”

It's quiet for a while, Piper dosing and out as nurses come. They shake their heads, smiling, as they check Nico's vitals. Lee does some work. Jason's fallen asleep. "So, is Will doing okay? Given the circumstances, I mean," Piper asks. Lee looks up, shrugging. "He's started talking to a therapist, so I hope that helps. He's pretty torn up about everything. As we all are." He runs a hand through his hair. "I can't imagine thinking you've lost your soulmate like that."

Piper put a reassuring hand on Lee’s shoulder. “My sister in law had her baby a couple of weeks ago. Her and my brother are talking about coming up for a visit. They hoped it would help cheer Will up. Maybe Nico too, if he wouldn’t mind some visitors.” Piper hummed. “Nico really likes babies. Maybe it’d be a nice distraction. I’ll ask him about it. Or, you’re welcome to when he wakes up if you stick around,” Piper said. Lee nodded and glanced at Will again. He’d missed Michael’s wedding while Nico was gone. And now he hasn’t even met his newest niece. Lee really hoped a visit would bring up everyone’s mood.

“Are you okay with seeing Will?” Jason asks. Nico had been visibly excited about seeing his boyfriend since the visit was mentioned, but Jason was worried Will would ask too many questions or upset Nico someway. “I want to see him,” Nico says. With his health improving, he was also getting better at realizing that Jason was hiding something. “He hasn’t visited yet?” Jason shakes his head. “He didn’t quite handle your disappearance well, so he was getting better,” Jason explains.

Nico is excited to see Will, but he’s also nervous. He doesn’t remember everything that happened, and he has a feeling that he’s missing quite a few things. He’s surprised when Will also seems nervous about seeing him. “Hi, Nico,” he says. He’s paler and thinner than Nico remembers. “How’re you feeling?” Nico shrugs. Will laughs, smiling. “I’ve missed you.” Nico nods. He holds his hands out, and Will takes them. He sits on the bed, patting Daisy’s head. “Tea misses you, too.”

“I miss her,” Nico said softly. It’s nearly new year now, and Nico isn’t much closer to gettting out of the hospital. “Maybe I’ll be able to sneak her in next time I’m here,” Will said, laughing softly. It was the most wonderful sound Nico had heard in months, and he smiled. “Daisy misses her sister,” Nico said. Will hummed and smiled and he scratched behind Daisy’s ears. Things went quiet between them, and Nico felt awkward. He was a bit upset that he now had this rift between him and Nico. It made him angry at Alecto. Who the fuck was he to cause a rift between Nico and his soulmate? “I’m sorry,” Nico said softly.

Hazel came out of their room first. She must've noticed Nico's mood because she got herself a cup of tea before making herself comfortable beside Nico, leaning against him silently. Nico took that as an invitation to lean into her, and he rested his head on her shoulder. They didn't speak. Hazel always seemed to know when Nico wasn't able to speak, and she never made him feel bad or strange for it. He swore she had the patience of a saint. "I'm here," she whispered, and they left it at that.

It’s still early enough. It was only maybe seven or eight in the morning. He’d missed breakfast with Will, but Reyna would let him know. Will wouldn’t be mad. And if Will came to cuddle, maybe that would be okay. Hazel comes out and sits with him for a bit, resting her head on his shoulder. They don’t talk, but she makes sure he drinks water. He’s going to have to pee when he snaps out of this. She just holds his hand. “Can I paint your nails?” she asks. Nico thinks he nods.

He doesn’t really remember the rest of the morning. It kind of all blurs together in his head. He sees himself hugging his sisters and thinks he remembers them saying they’d come to visit again for the shoot or maybe he just wanted them to say that. Cerberus nudges him every time he lets a pause go too long. He hates feeling to vacant and out of control, but there’s nothing he can do about it once he’s there. He does remember Jason tucking him in for a nap and hoping he’s back when he wakes.

“Where’s Nico?” Michael asked around lunch time, glancing around the kitchen. Will had wondered the same thing at breakfast, but Reyna had texted him when he’d asked Nico if he was okay. “Reyna said he had a rough night last night and isn’t feeling like himself,” Will explained. He had to admit, he’d been worried when Reyna had texted him instead of Nico. He wanted to go check on Nico too, but Reyna said it wouldn’t help. Nico was out cold to the world, but some cuddles later might help.
